This is an amazing place for all vegans and in general fantastic food lovers. I keep coming back to this place due to its unique approach to preparing high quality meals. Always a fascinating menu with a great variety of plant based dishes. Highly recommended when visiting the area.

Excellence all around for the price of an average meal in the US. I'm not even a vegan (omnivore) and I think this place is great. Creatively executed food menu that is solid across the board from smoothies to appetizers to main course to dessert.

I went for the Prix fixe menu and had the sweet potato pancake appetizer, avocado enchiladas main course and sampler dessert platter. The pumpkin tortilla on the enchilada was amazing. Easily the best tortilla I've ever had. Coulis on the strawberry sorbet was scrumptious. Enak sekali (very delicious). Definitely a must try when in Ubud.

Wow... This place is simply amazing. Best vegan restaurant in Ubud! The food is special, delicious and well thought of. We came here multiple times and each time was better than the last.
Highly recommend!

Had a great last evening in Indonesia! Everything on the menu sounded great, from the starters to the desserts. Location, design, food - Moksa got it all right. Unfortunately we just went this one time :(

Flawless. Beautiful setting, very cosy and new. Food is superb. Though admittedly the gnocchi was recommended but a little bit of a let down as wasn t chewy at all, just a ball of sweet potato. All other courses were superb. Presented beautifully. Cakes are a must try too. One of the best vegan restaurants we tried in our time in bali.

I love my meat. Bloody friggin steaks. And while I think the slogan "you are what you eat" is a bit stupid - I'm not a vegetable nor should animals be used as an insult - I do have to say that the food was beyond excellent!

The jackfruit tacos will haunt me in my dreams for years; that's how good they were! I would not have been able to say that this is not meat. Period.

Highest quality of ingredients, mouthwatering taste, great looks of the food and nice, genuinely friendly staff. Go there, I promise you won't regret it!

I am not vegan so it took me some bites to get used to these different kinds of flavour, still I thought it was pretty good. It didn't make me abandon meat forever but it learned me that it can be nice to eat vegan from time to time.

Without a doubt on my top favourite places in Ubud. It is one of the best vegan food I ve ever eaten. I m not even vegan but it makes eating healthy vegan a breeze. What I really appreciate is it is healthy food, it is creative and beautifully created dishes. It allows the natural flavours and ingredients to speak for themselves. No need for tons of processed and fake vegan ingredients like other places. No one needs to eat animal products ever again when you have food like this!

Moksa makes me seriously think about living in Ubud just so I can eat here as often as I like.

MUST TRY the jackfruit tacos, you won t regret it!

Great food, drinks and dessert! Having a farm to source their own produce is a brilliant idea. Got lucky in trying out the "dal" (lentil soup) for lunch, which is usually available in the dinner menu... it was delicious! The green curry was on point with natural flavours and the perfect amount of spice. Definitely worth a visit. The road to bike/ drive down to the restaurant gets a little muddy when it rains, be careful

Bit out of town but entirely worth the trip. Get the Jerky Mignon and thank me later. Not the biggest portion of food you will get in Ubud, but it will be amongst the best quality you will try.

Best of the best !! I have been to all Ubud vegan restaurants, but this one is the best. Delicious dishes! Almost all raw. The staff is friendly. The owner is very nice with the guests. You can see the sunset from the restaurant) Master classes are also held.

The staff is utterly disrespectful. This is a shame since the owner obviously has a very interesting philosophy, but the waiters and the cook are only interested in working as little as possible. It took a miracle the waiters to look at our table and see whether we needed something. As soon as it started to rain they asked us whether we wanted to sit nearer to the kitchen, but as we were perfectly sheltered from the rain from where we were it became obvious they didn't want to go through the rain (with the gigantic umbrella they are provided with) and wanted to save themselves some work. The simple brown rice had sand in it. When I complained, the waitress asked if I wanted more brown rice. She asked if we liked spicy and we said no. She suggested the noodle soup. After some minutes (2 minutes) she brought a very spicy red chili soup. I asked her to change it, and 1 minute later she brought the same soup. I tried the sauce, which now was just coconut milk, but it WAS THE SAME SOUP with still the same vegetables, still spicy from the previous sauce. It was obvious that the cook had just let the sauce flow with the same food and put coconut milk instead in the hope the problem would disappear. As the dish was still very spicy obviously, after 10 minutes the waiter brought me a second soup that only had vegetables and coconut milk and tasted like nothing. The waitress and the staff manager were full of excuses. Very unprofessional.

Fine dining food in a authentic Bali restaurant. Best place I have been too and so so cheap. The chef was so passionate and you could tell in the masterpieces he has created. I will definitely go back to Bali just for this restaurant. Thanks again.

This is the best vegan restaurant I ve visited so far. The experience was great from appetizers to the main dish and dessert. Moreover, the ambient is phenomenal and the staff very friendly and hospitable. I want one of these back home!

For me personally this is the best vegan food I ever tried so far. They have very different menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast I would say is more soft and simple, lunch is comfort food and dinner is more complex food. After having eaten there many times, I can say that Moksa is the best vegan food in Bali. I will update my review if I find a better vegan restaurant in Bali (I've tried almost all of them). Thank you Chef Made Runatha and team for the amazing food

This place is a hidden gem

This place is a hidden gem

I have never tasted such intriguing an sophisticated mix of flavors and textures for raw foods, and any foods in general.

The presentation is also refined.

The seats are overlooking their own garden where they grow most of their fruits, veggies and greens.

There are 2 big swings and lots of spots of taking fancy pictures

Their service is amazing. So detail oriented and the first restaurant I went in Bali where servers took the time to professionally explain you their menu.

First restaurant in Bali where the server asked about allergies right after he finished writing down my order.

They were so good with suggestions and with managing expectations, and their hospitality is so good!

I've been staying pretty far from the place, and it didn't stop me from eating at moksa over and over again

My most favorite dishes here are the Caprese Raviolo, the Lasagna and the purple pumpkin cake.

Thank you guys for being so awesome!
Keep up the great work!

Not food for everyone. If you really don't like vegan food, it doesn't work. But if you like unique food and taste different. Suits you In my own opinion the meaning is okay and steady. The atmosphere is delicious. But the road is not big enough so that the vehicle is difficult to enter

We loved the food! (Raw and heated) Ayu, our waitress was impressive in explaining to us the menu. All staff were all smiles. Me and my wife had the chance to talk to the owner, Janur. He went out of his way and let us have a tour on their garden and plant cultivating process. Cutleries are elegant. Stomachs were nourished. Souls were aligned.

It was a wonderful experience! I had never thought that plant-based dishes could be that tasty. The place was a bit hard to locate (especially if you are driving cars), but the view was worth the effort.

Everyone needs to visit. I loved it as a gardener and as a foodie. My GF mate was having a struggle in Bali and was dragging her feet through the door. The night ended with her happy as and skipping back the next night for a second go at the menu.
Me I wish was sitting on the deck right now.

One of the best and most authentic vegan dining experiences in Ubud. Surrounded by their own permaculture garden, Chef Made and his team focus on locally grown ingredients to create magical, inventive plant-based dishes. Each day was a new surprise (yes, went back multiple times!). The hospitality shown by their staff was also fantastic. Drop by before 6pm to watch the sunset over the garden and enjoy fresh jamu or a "maca-cinno". Altogether, one of the most memorable and unique food experiences I've had in Bali!

Just left moksa highly disappointed... Came in right at sunset (around 6:30 pm). Didn't have a reservation, but were seated right away. The server went over the menu and brought us water. Until 7 pm we didn't get anyone to come and take our order. They did have a large party that was almost done eating when we came in. But servers didn't seem too busy and were standing around checking their phones. Our server didn't even see us leave after we waited for 30 min.

The salad really blow my mind! Love the balance of the salad appetizer. Also, we ordered two main dishes are all really tasty. But personally love their appetizer collection. Next to the restaurant is a farmer market that open every Saturday. Both highly recommended.

If you're a vegetarian or vegan, 5/5 for sure.

I'm a meatetarian, and still enjoyed every dish we had. The chef is extremely hospitable and attends to the smallest details.

Excellent customer service, delicious food for my body and my soul - surprising for me as I am a carnivore - and inspiring company in the presence of Made Janur, one of the two Balanese co-founders. I definetly learned a few things today and am seriously considering buying a plant-based cook book!

Moksa is an organic vegan restaurant, and it's great. The dishes were really tasteful and original. The staff is very helpful providing information about the dishes and products used. A little expensive by Bali standards, but definitely worth it.

Only some of the best food I've ever had in one of the nicest settings I've ever been in....entirely vegan and plant-based foods, but when it tastes as good as this, you don't even notice. I loved every aspect. Local foods, nice options, beautiful presentation.

Not too expensive, has a set menu if preferred (appetizer, main dish, dessert), no alcohol served!

This place is a vegan heaven

They cook from their own gardens and offer cooking classes! The prices are worth to pay! No inside seating, so check the weather first.
I can recommend the farmers market on Tuesdays and Saturdays! Great organic stuff.

Food - Amazing

Food - Amazing
Service - Nice and Friendly
Difficult to find this gem but worth the drive

A little pretentious.

A little pretentious.
Food was a bit underwhelming but ok.
Service a bit sluggish and lacking the gentle, happy Ubud feel.
We found Zest Ubud to be a better vegan option in the area, with an exciting and original menu.
