The Biltmore is a beautiful historic hotel even to just walk through. I haven't had the chance to stay here overnight, but just a look at the lobby makes me want to have an overnight stay here as a goal.
Good room and location. But check-in very poor and still have not had my deposited refunded or receipt emailed to me. Allow 20 minutes for check
and insist on all paperwork at check out.
I had friends staying here, so I spent a lot of time in the lobby and public areas, which were awesome. Stunning classic art deco decor, great photos of old Hollywood, very fun to visit. Nice bar. My friends were disappointed with the rooms, however. Perhaps they were built for an earlier era.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made checking in very quick and easy. Room was large with a double sofa bed with and en suite and also a large bedroom with separate en suite.
One of the most luxurious beautiful classic hotels in the world. Not to mention ghost busters was filmed here. Pricey but worthy
Great ballrooms. Stunning lighting and structural designs.
Historic decor, convenient location, small bathrooms and storage
A beautiful place in the middle of downtown Los Angeles
The hotel was amazing and beautiful. I was there for a work event, and their staff was great and very helpful.
Had drinks at the lounge. Service was top notch and the had a great selection of top shelf liquor. Pricey, but to be expected.
My experience was with their front desk. My friend left a package for me in their front desk but I can't pick it personally, so I called. Niek answered my call, found my package. With his advice, I arranged a fedex pickup and he put the package into a box, sealed it and attached the label i sent on it. Very helpful and professional crew. I will check in to experience their service one day for sure.
Very happy to be in this hotel for a conference. Neat setting, and as a Ghosbusters fan, neat to walk down the hall and yell "Anyone seen a ghost?" OK maybe did not yell it, but sure thought it. Feels more like old NYC hotel but lots of neat history. Location downtown is fantastic. Tons to visit in walking distance.
We booked two double rooms in this beautiful building. The entrance is really pretty. This is the only thing to say something good. The pool was out of order but the reception told us an other thing. The bar is dirty and the stuff didn t recognize it, when we have taken a seat and wanted to order something. So we left directly. The hotel is smelling bad in the rooms and near the rooms, like old and like in a basement. The climatic was switched of when we arrived and that s why the rooms were so hot. Everything is old and not acceptable for this kind of hotel. Only disgusting. We said all to the reception but nothing happened. And the No Go was, that somebody came into our room at night and wanted to clean the room. At this time we were already in bed. Never ever!!!
Booked room for three people for 5 days, but all 5 days kept on getting only two sets of towels and toiletries. We did mention on the very first day to the maid in the hallway that we needed an extra set and she just gave it to us - no big deal. That was the only time we've seen sets for all three of us.
The hotel and rooms are pretty old. I felt like I paid for the lobby as it was the prettiest I've ever seen, but the rooms were definitely low key. They also try to charge you for anything you can think of - the fridge in the room is an extra charge ($10/day i think?), the overnight parking is $40/night...
The staff were friendly, they would always open the doors for us - probably because all of us were female (but can't complain on this one).
Very cool old hotel. Room is comfortable and clean. Staff is very nice.
Nice. Very old. Nothing special. Kind of reminds me of the John Cusack movie, 1408.
Such an amazing experience. We would like to thank April for helping us make this happen and for being so cordial and supportive! She even recommended a great breakfast spot down the street that was icing on the cake of our stay.
The room has charm and character and the view was amazing. It really felt like we were apart of the city and experiencing Los Angeles.
Thank, April! You made our last night in LA one to remember! Happy New Year!!
Nice hotel, but the rooms are a little outdated, even the hallways to the rooms could use a remodeling.
Beautiful rooms with Salvatore Ferragamo soaps in the bathroom. Suites have a working fireplace in the room and all rooms have a full bathtub and separate standing shower.
Guests have access to the spa lounge, sauna, steam room, and whirlpool-- one of the top spas in the country. Gym is beautiful and kept up, Balsan restaurant is very upscale.
Best hotel I've stayed at in Los Angeles!
Really nice hotel that was nice to stay on the days I was in L A
We paid for a certain room and did not get that certain room sincerely suck it
Gorgeous hotel, food was amazing at one of the restaurants. Will be back!
With 29 years NO, I can Complain, very good place and quality is the Classic.
When I booked my room for two nights I was assured I'd have the same room for both nights. Again, when I checked in, I was assured I'd have the sane room for both nights. After the first night I was told I'd have to change rooms. When I refused, in an act of retaliation, my room was not cleaned.
The room we reserved wasn't avaible, so they gave us a free upgrade. Customer service was really nice, and the hotel is clean
Very nice hotel We stayed in a room one day and enjoyed it. We did not have much contact with employees other than to get in and out and they were very nice.
Very old hotel, rooms like a hostel, everything is old and unpleasant, nice service I did not enjoy the hotel.
Wonderfully beautiful hotel. Rich in Los Angeles and Hollywood history.
I stayed in this hotel for anime expo in 2018. There were several problems with this hotel I m struggling to figure out where to start. The first problem was we ordered a roll away bed for our room a week in advance and was told it would be in our room when we arrived. When we arrived it was not there so when we called down the hotel reported there were none left. When I went down to complain they magically found one for me although they reported they had none originally lying to a customer to avoid doing their job. This was the first problem but not the last. This week was a very hot one in downtown LA and our room refused to cool down. We talked to two separate women at the front desk twice who assured us they would send someone to look at it, however no one ever came. The housekeeping also continued to turn off the ac in the hotel room every time they cleaned it despite the 115 tempature outside. One day we returned to our room and it was 83. My friend called down to the desk furious that no one was willing to help us and it was miserable for what was listed as a 4 Star hotel. We finally had a maintenance man come and did confirm that the valve of the ac was not open resulting in hot air being blown out instead of the cool. He was the only helpful person we encountered during our entire stay and assured us that guests were not usually treated this way. My third problem was related to a memeber of the room suffering from a feather allergy and needing foam pillows. However, the house keeping staff provided the entire room with feather pillows on more than one occasion. It took three phone calls down to the front desk over the course of an hour and a half to even receive the correct pillows. The staff never apologized for the wait and continued to not take anything we said seriously. The only good person in this hotel is the maintenance man. There are plenty of hotels in downtown LA so I would recommend everyone avoid this one.
Well. well. I. feel. it. helps. me. with. different. questions. and. so. forth
The Biltmore never disappoints. It s like going back in time. If you want a classic LA experience you have to stay at the Biltmore.
A beautiful hotel with a lot of clean, located in a strategic place and close to the metro where you can move around easily and visit all of Los Angeles
Taylor Swift, Jay Low, Hamptons, can t be wrong this is the place to make it happen!
We had dinner one night also and the food was delicious. Hotel was clean and comfortable, very classy.
It's a grand ole hotel, lots of nostalgia & granduer. I've wanted to experience the hotel and thanks to the covid 19 lockdown, I finally did and the price wad right. I enjoyed my stay & would do it again in a heart beat.
Wonderful architecture, wish the AC worked a bit better. Staff is great, very nice.
Parking is a little pricy at $45 a night. However, the valet staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and were happy to walk us to our car when we needed to retreive a forgotten item.
This an old historic building, but the rooms could be in better shape/updated. Our air conditioner in the room did not work and we eventually had to open the windows and turn it off just to get the temperature tollerable.
The toilet did not flush properly. The toilet only flushed if you held the handle until enough water flowed through to complete a flush. Staff did discount room a little for the inconvenience but these type of items should be caught in routine maintenance, not at 2 am when the guest wakes up sweating with the AC set 65 or 70.
One plus was the small business center. It was very clean and organized and offers free boarding pass printing which came in very handy.
Historic Los Angeles hotel. Here, the first editions of the Oscars were performed and moreover scenes from many famous films were shot ... good quality room, service and catering. room perhaps to refresh ...
Awesome hotel. Great location. The pool is really cool
The Hotel was very nice looking, the interior was very intricately designed
clean room, equippament, something old, small and expensive parking, I think I will not repeat accommodation in this hotel
Hotel located in downtown Los Angeles, allows easy access to the areas of interest by public transport. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, impeccable cleanliness. Free WiFi for limited time.
Great location with parking across the way if you don't feel like parking at the hotel. But if you do you can park in the hotel. Great services from the front lobby staff to the bell hop.
Not only were we treated as if we were low lives, we were given no hospitable service. In addition, a pair of my $150 blue jeans were stolen from my room. This place has a nice pool but we paid for a 4star stay and would give it a 1star. I was told no one would steal jeans because it's too risky, well someone did and I'm out. :-( There were also many drunks wandering the hotel because of the weddings. Stay across the street at Hilton Checkers, there none of my possessions disappeared.
The hotel room was clean and nice. The lavage was just super loud. That was pretty disturbing otherwise a good, nice hotel.
Beautiful hotel. Attentive service. Convenient location. Highly recommended.
Our short staycation at this hotel to celebrate our 10th anniversary was wonderful! The hotel location, a very comfortable room with superb breakfast at their restaurant. The kids enjoy the rooftop pool so much despite the weather and the staff at the rooftop are very friendly and very helpful. We had an enjoyable stay as always. We will surely recommend this hotel to all our family members and friends to experience the wonderful stay!
Love the architecture. Very old age classy feel. Staff there were very accomodating.
The room is wide and clean. However, the front employees were the most unfriendly I've ever seen. She didn't even tell me how much it was when she paid the deposit with my card.
How thankful I am to you, guys! Your staves were so kind, and I thanked them for treating me nicely. All of your services were so incredible. I thanked your staves for helping me every time I had some concerns. You deserve to be known by many! I should highly recommend you to my friends! Cheers!
Beautiful hotel with great facilities and some incredible history. The communal areas are breathtaking but the rooms are somewhat dated. However that adds to the charm.
One of of the only few still standing historical monuments in downtown Los Angeles California
Very nice hotel. Bit expensive, but the room is amazing. 4 stars only because my apartment at 5th floor was very noisy (but this is not hotel fault). The problem was the room service knocking at 08:30am to clean my room.
The hotel is beautiful, however that is only overshadowed by the rude staff, poorly decorated rooms, DRMed TVs, half working phones and slow wifibwith no network Jack.
An older hotel, the windows are very old and keep almost none of the weather or sound out. Could use an update.
Great hotel, design, friendly staff, best location in Los Angeles. Quiet and very clean.
The room is clean and spacious, but the security around the hotel is too bad and you must use a taxi from the evening. Japanese people should bring their own slippers. Amenities include shampoo and hairdryer.
I got vetigo looking down from the top of the stairwell. 5/7
Beautiful old hotel. Amazing architecture, and history of Hollywood stuff. Walking around the grounds, looking at the pool, etc is a step back in time. Loved our stay here. Perfect location for us when we do E3.
Great customer service. Clean amazing hotel. Friendly and helpful staff and valet.
Very classic historical hotel. The rooms are large and nice considering the age of the property. Time for an HVAC upgrade (no thermostat for cooling). The lobby bar was very expensive and the staff was not friendly. Good variety of fitness equipment and a very historic pool/sauna. Overall a great hotel.
