Nice hotel, good location. Rooms are comfortable but very dated.
Nice hotel, good location. Rooms are comfortable but very dated.
Hospitality is great, rooms are gorgeous and clean. But the valet service is not worth 45 a night.
Historic and beautiful property. Rooms were very nice, club lounge was enjoyable, although why only have available snacks and drinks at specific hours? Would be better if available 24/7. Sheraton and Marriott do it so can you. Staff are nice and helpful.
It's a beautiful hotel. The staff is great & helpful. And the room service is great!
Awesome historic hotel in the middle of downtown LA financial district. Only con, the bar doesn't open until 4pm. Great service. Smaller updated rooms but expected from a hotel built in the 1920s.
A hotel with a classic and warm atmosphere, the people who work are kind and frank.
Grand lobby. Massive ballroom. Can't say much else. Didn't seem to be much staff around...my guess is an old, grand hotel that has average service?
Amazingly beautiful, comfortable, hospitable. Would definitely come again!
Great stay, high quality of rooms with a deep history of the hotel (most notably for me a filming location of Ghostbusters)
Beautiful hotel, friendly personel, excellent service.
Come here at least once a year for the annual professional events I attend. The food at the events is mediocre and not the best quality. The vegetables are usually good. The bar however is a beautiful place to visit if you re in Los Angeles, it is worth a stop to have at least one cocktail as it is a historical building. Keep returning there because they can handle large crowds.
Greates hall. Breakfast ha Lota of chicks. Room was l'argento. The bathroom was a bit of a disappointment. Overal a very good hotel.
Very friendly staff. Breakfast and excellent cleaning.
Front staff had horrible customer service. No directions to room or how to access WiFi. Was greeted with a frown. Room had a horrible oder and dirt was smeared all over the windows.
The rooms are solid for what they are but a little outdated and slightly musty. The hotel interior could be renovated to look more modern and clean. Service was fine and attentive.
A beautifully maintaned treasure worth a visit whether you plan on staying as a guest or not. The staff complete the meticulous detail with their professional appearance and service.
Beautiful older style hotel. Rooms are a little on the plain side and the bathrooms could be refreshed but then are comfortable and clean. The buffet breakfast at Smeraldis is well worth it for US$22 plus tax and tip. Location is great, walking distance to the Broad and other museums, and right next to Peshing Square station.
More like a motel than a hotel.
Don't let the 1st floor trick you. Rooms are old, TVs hardly even function, and rooms are too small for its price. There is no safe measures being taken at all.
The front desk said that the food delivery man will not be going to the room and yet the delivery man past through the front desk.
We had afternoon tea at the Rendezvous Court. We had a lovely time. Great staff and service.
The hotel was extremely haunted I really did not like that something kept touching me and screaming in my room and whispering things will turn on by itself sometimes. Our room was in the second floor and the elevators wouldn t go up when we pressed 2 so we had to use the stairs which was really strange? OTGER than that it was good service and the rooms were really clean!
I only just popped in, but the hotel was gorgeous and very clean. Staff was meticulous and professional. Very impressed
What a BEAUTIFUL place! The lobby, hallways, and lounge are exquisite. Service could not be better, and the lounge has an excellent selection of scotches. You really feel like royalty staying here. Rooms are vintage and have their own charm to them. Perfect for a weeklong stay in downtown LA.
Historic hotel, monumental and very beautiful lobby and entrance, very comfortable bedrooms, central location and well served by bus and metro. Tiny bathrooms.
Oof, this place is haunted for sure. The gym is all old and creepy. On the way there you see all these old black and white photos of galas and you just think you're gonna find yourself in one of them and then a creepy guy will tell you you've always been there.
Strolled into this hotel in the morning to check out with my kids during our adventure exploring downtown LA.. Ordered muffins. Kids loved them a you can tell. Super nice architecture and ambiance. The barista was nice enough to give us ideas on what and where to go during our visit.
Good looking hotel overall but bathrooms could be better. Housekeeping did not come till late afternoon. Soundproofing could be better as well. Decent price given location.
Old venerable hotel with charming and luxurious furnishings. Excellent service. A hotel with history and pride. Not old fashioned, but stylish in all modernity in LA. An impressive hotel that should be experienced. We stayed there for 4 days and would love to return.
We stayed at this traditional hotel on our honeymoon a few days ago. A Elderly, thin cleaning man that had blue eyes said a racist word to me through the passageway on the 7th floor. I felt so bad.
Historic hotel in downtown LA. Cozy rooms. Amazing bartender and happy hour from 4 to 6.
It is a very nice hotel.. beautiful. Downtown LA has awesome night life!
Beautiful architecture, and magical during Christmas.
What a wonderful and historic hotel. Centrally located in DTLA, it's close proximity to museums and other popular spots. I highly recommend booking at this grand dame!
Rooms and small beds. More level is required for a hotel with these characteristics and history
Save yourself the hassle and stay somewhere else. Amongst all the cons this hotel offers, here's my highlight: lube all over the tv remote. Oh eww right? Which makes you question about everything else... Ghostbusters!
The rooms were a disappointment but the valet provided great service and the bar was nice.
Had tea here. It was quite nice and the server was great!
Magical, elegant, historically charming! Clean rooms and the nicest, sweetest staff!
Parking experience was poorly designed. No matter how much we told them we loved them, they didn't fix it. Great location and friendly staff. Enjoyed the water bottles and shaving kit. Management should reconsider having people call a phone and have a conversation every time we want to exit the parking garage.
Rooms and beds comfortable and clean
gated assess for car entry felt safe during the night.
I would certainly choose this hotel for my next visit
Everything from the service to decor to the atmosphere was amazing. The only thing that I could see improving is better access to a map haha. I got turned around a few times but staff were usually nearby to point out the way
The hotel is gorgeous and so historical! There is so much to see and explore! Here on business and could not ask for a nicer place to enjoy my trip to LA!!
Gorgous hotel, exceptional service. Multiple eateries. Loved our room. So clean, spacious and quite reasonable. Would highly recommend. Valet service was impressive.
Friendly staff at a beautiful downtown LA hotel. I love it there near the holidays as the whole place is wonderfully decorated for the season. There tends to be a little traffic around the area, but if you know LA then it's not very bad. The architecture of the ballrooms is simply beautiful so it's a great place to host events.
Stood here for the Weekend, got a GREAT PACKAGE DEAL because I attended the AALA: FREEDOM FROM BONDAGE CONVENTION.....The HOTEL is MAGNIFICENT
Absolutely beautiful hotel that appears to be recently renovated. Room was spacious enough and in great condition. The public space show the beauty of the original hotel built in 1923. Check out the historic photos in the halls off the lobby. Service was very good, particularly the concierge Derrick.
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are a great size and clean. The surrounding area is questionable depending on which way you go, but generally a good spot I think.
It is ok. The lobby is very grand, but the interior is pretty old. Still a comfortable stay.
Housed for 2 nights prenotatomi from eden travel (agency not recommend it) I found to pay for parking at $ 45 a day because not included ... no free wifi, it costs $ 10 a day ... luxurious entrance, but regular rooms .. .comfortable to move because it is located in an area that is too busy ... if you want advice, avoid it
Great customer service from the front desk to the banquet service. One of my favorite hotels!
Amazing location if you have business downtown. We had a lovely suite. The room was large and clean. Service was attentive. I would return.
Stayed for two nights and enjoyed every bit of the stay.
Good food for the event I attended. Servers were attentive and helpful!
Fantastically located in the heart of LA. The history of the Biltmore is celebrated throughout the hotel. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Guests rooms are louder than modern accommodation but it adds to the atmosphere of the old hotel.
This hotel classifies as "fine". It looks great and has a great atmosphere, and it's very clean. The staff are nice, though sometimes it seems they don't have quite enough people on shift. The rooms themselves are pretty standard. Bathroom is a bit wonky; it's cramped and the toilet's style (handle, seat) is like a public toilet. They provide a safe and hair dryer that work just fine. Overall, a good experience, but definitely not the Ritz.
This place is old. The whole building is hot except for the room after the a/c is turned down. Parking is a far walk from the actual building. When traveling in and out of the parking garage, you are required to call the front desk with your name and room number so that the gate can be let up. Inconvenient. I also saw a roach crawling up the curtain at 3am. If you've never been anywhere and are easily impressed by old structures and "back-in-the-day" designs then this place may fit for you. But for my standards in 2020, this place is not a five star at all and I will NEVER stay here again. Yuck!
I got a heaven like experience with love. Till we meet each other again.
Up class hotel. Brisk 20 minute walk to Staples center and The Convention Center. Surrounded by a plethora of restaurants and small businesses.
Beautiful historical hotel in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. A definite must-see even if you don't stay the night.
Love this hotel. It's one of the most beautiful buildings in DTLA. Rich in history and nostalgia.
wonderful room service, clean utilities. hotel has a nice castle aesthetic
Hotel is lovely, staff is friendly and accommodating. Bloody Mary's at the bar were to die for.
An incredible hotel, the building is brutal and the area unbeatable, shops, restaurants, places to visit, subway ... the room was not very big, but it is more than enough and more counting on you just step on it to sleep. .. and not much! It looks a little old, but as has happened in other hotels in the US, the carpet is largely to blame, it's disgusting, the spa is average, but to take a bath when you arrive in the afternoon, busted All day goes great, then a shower and by the noxe of Los Angeles, which is incredible.
No lock on the bathroom door in our suite. Key to concierge lounge did not work.
Their services were nonsense. I had trouble with WIFI at the room so I asked them to fix it. No one showed up until I checked out. It was such a terrible stay from my hotel experiences.
I like the office elevators. Super old style and great wood motif
