Beautiful view but no A/c in the room and the room...
Beautiful view but no A/c in the room and the room was very hot. Also the bathroom had mold and dirty carpet in the room. Staff was very nice!

This place was just awful. Gave it one star because nothing leaked and the bed was pretty good. The experience, however, was just awful.
We booked hotel rooms here for several of my associates and myself during NRF. Most, upon seeing the state of the rooms, immediately booked somewhere else. Reasons? Sheets piled on the bed instead of it being made, obviously not cleaned and "smelled funny". I ended up staying. I got there Friday the 11th. My room wasn't cleaned until the morning of the 14th. During my entire stay, the housekeeping cart was parked in front of my door. I called down every day and every day I was assured that my room would be cleaned immediately and that the cart would be removed. I finally started pillaging the cart (with housekeeping's blessing) for fresh towels.
My travel coordinator finally called the manager on Tuesday the 15th - unbeknowst to me, she had tried to schedule a room there for training on the 12th but was told that they could get us a room but couldn't provide food (there is a restaurant on premises) and couldn't allow us to have any brought in. Not even coffee and soda. The manager apologized profusely and promised even to try to make my stay right by sending something nice to my room to make up for my stay.
Of course, nothing showed up... but they did finally remove the housekeeping cart.
Add to that little things like going to the front desk to schedule a wake up call and being told that I should just call down from my room instead (to the front desk, mind you... not an automated system).
In fact, the only thing that showed up promptly and when I expected it was my bill.
Last fun experience - Leaving to catch a plane on the 16th. Asked the bellman to get me a cab. He gave a heavy sigh, shrugged into his coat and walked out the door. He took the time to actually hug a guy parked at the curb, walked out onto 44th street for 15 seconds, then looked at me and said, "can't you just get an Uber?" He then hinted he wanted a tip. I pretended I didn't notice as I pulled out my phone to get an Uber.
This place is terrible. The entire staff feels like they want to do anything else than help you. I am guessing the other 5 star reviews are planted but I don't know. I can't see how anyone had that great an experience here.
UPDATE: Oh, now I get it... after I posted, all of a sudden there are a ton of 5 star reviews with no words or the same theme of "really convenient to Times Square". I guess it is easier to spam your reviews than to actually help the people staying there.
Notice that the longer reviews are also the lowest ones.
There are a lot of other choices in Times Square. Use any of them.
The beds are rock hard and I really wanted a soft cushy bed. Otherwise a wonderful place.
View was great, but the room and amenities were below average.
Location and the service is exceptional I'll definitely stay again
You're paying for the location so as long as you know that going in you'll be fine, room was clean, view was just ok(we were on the backside) and excess to Times Square & restaurants was good. Good place to be for tourist. Next time i would stay outside of Times Square nd catch Subway or Uber to Times Square to save a couple dollars
This hotel is located in a great location. Nice hotel and clean. In the heart of the theatre district near lots of restaurants. Reasonably priced. There are specials if you look on the Internet. Have fun.
Great hotel, will admit room showed some age and wear and tear. Rug under chair was a little worn, side table a little worn, gap between sink and counter, all MINOR issues. Still felt this was a great room and value. No fridge, no coffeemaker which was disappointing but perhaps Covid related.
Room 4010 good view of the ball.
A little outdated but ok No microwave, coffee pot or fridge...but very convenient spot for shopping!!
Worst hotel I stayed at that s under the HILTON. They did not make me feel like a diamond member they sent me to the wrong room first then to two dirty rooms after.
It's an old but nicely maintained hotel in the heart of Manhattan
A little run down...rooms needs refurbishing the hotel needs a total update...great location though...workers some gave great attitudes...some I find a little lazy.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff but needs rooms upgrading.
Nice hotel and great staff. Located in the heart of Times Square. Rooms were clean and both staff and guests were friendly.
Nice central location. I appreciate that it's a little off of Broadway.
Location was great and the staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious but in sad shape for the location and price. It really needs an update.
The staff, the rooms, the location, everything was beyond perfect.
I used to stay at the Millennium frequently in the early 2000s. Sadly it hasn't changed much in 20 years. We had an upgraded room with "times square view" using a boatload of Hilton points. It was my wife's 50th so in from Boston for dinner, Hamilton, etc. Nonetheless, the room was extremely disappointing for the cost. Horrible bathroom with many issues, overall extremely dated room with few current era amenities. The location is awesome. Hopefully the recent Hilton affiliation will help to provide a long over due and much needed update to the MTS.
Great staff, very friendly, check in was extremely easy and the guy was knowledgeable + he ended up being from Rhode Island where I live so we had a cool convo about Block Island. This place made me love Times Square even more, salute!
Very bad, only the position saves it. No minibar in the room, 70s bathroom, painful wifi.
To avoid.
Location is great. No issues with elevators. Clean beds, bathrooms are super outdated and thats ok but rustic cracks between wall and counter, rust on floor and just overall appears dingy. The water pressure in the sink was terrible. Did make a request for a mini fridge prior to arriving and of course was told yes and ok but never received the mini fridge. Stayed there for 2 nights and not even a follow up explaining why the fridge was never provided.. Also requested a room with a view (paid extra), but our view was covered with a concrete wall, was told because we booked a few days prior to visit therefore those rooms were no longer available.....again, thats fine, then why did I pay extra for a view....Regardless, nice location, beds are clean so gave my 3 starts, sadly, will not return back.
Wonderfully priced hotel for being just off of Times Square! Walking to shows was a breeze without the hassle of transit! Rooms are reasonably sized, but are somewhat dated. Concierge staff was courteous and polite and easily got me into my room before my scheduled check in time!
Great place to stay for convenience for everything close times square. Room was lovely, bathroom could have been cleaner.
We went here for a vacation before Christmas. We had 3 people in our room and were told in the morning that there would be a rollaway bed for one of us to sleep on. However it never came. Apparently there is a waiting list for the beds. We were told that there were 8 people on the list, and then that we were number 10?? I'm wondering if the waiting list is even real. The policy apparently states that rollaway beds were not guaranteed, despite being promised one on arrival. I'll have to endure 4 more nights of sleeping on the hard leather chair, then.
As a person who has been to several New York area hotels I was disappointed that the valet service this hotel employs would steal from the customers vehicle. Nothing of great value in the short term, a flash light and some scented candles More
So far so good, room is clean and tidy. Free WiFi which is old. Only disadvantage is it is old.
100 yards from Time Sq. Perfect for exploring midtown Manhattan.
Understaffed, kind of decrepit, and worst of all no coffee maker in room. There's also no water in the gym. We asked them to bring up a coffee maker, twice, and both times they said they would shortly, but never did. Probably worst Hilton I've ever stayed at.
STOP! I would have changed hotels if they would have refunded me. I changed rooms 3 times. First had water damage, wallpaper coming off the walls and hair in the old bathtub! No fridge, no microwave, no vending machines, no coffee pot. Staff was extremely nice but the hotel is dated, dirty and very few amenities.
The hotel needs updating and I expected better service, although the restraunt staff was very good
Great location, plenty nice rooms. The staff is great and nice.
Lovely front of house staff. Rooms were clean but extremely outdated and could really do with being freshened up.
Hotel is old and there is no lobby, only a few benches on the side of the hallway. Tub was not working and lights in room were flickering. But the worst is the elevator. There were total of 6 elevator, but only one or two were working, the result was 15-25 mins wait time every time you tried to get in (both up or down). I stayed on 18th floor, but have to jump in as soon as an elevator opens up, or else it will be filled and you could not get it. So I have to get in on 18th floor, went all the way up to 58 floor with almost a stop on every few floors(which added another 10 mins on top of the wait time). Worst time was in the morning when everyone tried to go for breakfast, office, etc. So plan for additional 30-35 mins if you don't want to be late.
Comfortable rooms but they bathrooms need a deep clean.
Will definately be staying here when I return! Affordable for being right off Time Square. Everything was a quick walk from the hotel. You can see Time Square from the rooms (if you get the chance go to the top floor for the view). The gym is really great and has a lot of machines and weights. The business side and conference rooms were beautiful and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were incredibly helpful. There is a deli/convenience type store a few doors down if you need something late at night/early a.m. Baggage check/hold seems like it would be nuts but they got their stuff together and drop off/pick up is a breeze! The comments say about the room quality...did you come to NY to stay in the hotel the whole time or explore? It has what you need and I didnt feel like it was outdated. All we used it for was to hold our bags, shower and sleep. FANTASTIC hotel.
Beautiful place; central to Times Square. Check in staff didn't assist with use of Hilton Honors Points and we're a bit grumpy.
A 3 star for the accessibility and location, and view. But when we get there, a seal of cleanliness and disinfection was on the door before we entered our room. My duvet however, black stains on all sides with hair strands.
hotel is little bit run down. basic amnesties but good view from top floor
Dirty carpet in our room, beds hard, and front desk was not friendly to us. Don t turn on the AC when they see fit. They told us open a window it s breezy outside. You can t even control your own temperature in the room. Called front desk to complain and placed me on hold. Called again and hung up on me. Called a third time and when they picked up I reminded them that I could just go downstairs and let them know how I felt face to face, they wouldn t want that, so they didn t hang up a third time. Very bad experience.
The hotel was very clean, staff very professional, polite and helpful. No issues at all. Being right in Times Square was the highlight. Not to mention the water pressure. If I could I would have stayed one more night. The water pressure was therapeutic after a long tiring day. Definitely recommend and will come back.
Slightly dated, but the location was fantastic! Price-performance rather unfair, it would book due to the location but again.
I was really pleased with this hotel. They accommodated a really early check-in (I just planned to ask them to hold our luggage but they checked us right in) and the whole hotel is nicely furnished. Friendly staff, security at night and entrances on both 44th and 45th. Will stay again!
Rooms were very nice but couldn't be ventilated. No fans in the bathrooms either so smells tended to linger in the room. The shower we had also drained alot of water into the carpet outside, leaving the outside carpet really wet and soggy. View was beautiful
Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Good first expeience of New York
Probably could have done better for the money the room looks nothing like the picture.
Perfect location for a visit to NY. If anything negative I would say the lifts take a while to come.
It has some negative reviews. They put a broken sheet on me. There were no towels in the bathroom and I had to wait for them to reach me. the floor of the bathroom behind the toilet was filthy. I kept a wet towel and when I lifted it full of dirt. It's worth it for its location but not for what they offer. IM NOT COMING BACK ANYMORE. For the same price there are better. Also 4 star category today low to three.
Incredible location and sizable room for being in Times Square. Just know that depending on your room location, you can hear every siren and car horn from the busy streets below... along with the bright lights of Time Square outside of your window!
This is a nice basic hotel. The location is GREAT and the front desk people were excellent. The rooms are good but the beds are not as comfortable as some of the "name brand" hotels. Also they don't provide a coffee maker, but we asked and they gave us one. Over all a good selection but not amazing.
Very bad service, they stole our money !! They made us pay for 3 adults and we finally end up, 3 ppl in one room with 2 beds ! One of us will sleep on the floor.
The answer from Mr Tomo Iwata supposedly to be the manager, is:
I will provide u 2 blankets to sleep on the floor !!!! What a service !!!
Worst hotel I have ever seen !!
Hotel was nice and clean and in the perfect location. Staff could have been friendlier
Checking in took over half hour, sooo many people in line at midnight, ice machines were out on every floor, guests were complaining since we showed up, no refrigerator in rooms, no parking, but the view was great of the empire state building 1 star for me
Nice location and welcoming accommodations. Walls seem a bit thin, but no complaints otherwise. Great staff!
Very large hotel, in the best location in New York: on the Times Square. Fine rooms with American-size beds. Sleeping on a high floor with window for Times Square experience. There are enough lifts, speed, so there is no load. Ideal for visiting or staying in Manhattan.
You want to be in a hotel where rooms are kept at 90F and the front desk says "we don't have AC"?
Stay here.
They literally told me to "open the windows".
Of course no recognition as a Hilton Honors member at the front desk, but the AC thing takes the cake as one of the most bizarre things I've heard from a hotel of this category.
The hotel was convenient to where my meetings were located however everything is dated and in disrepair. They have a very dated heating and cooling system and in the winter they only have heat. In the event it heats up, every room in the More
Service is really great people are friendly here best hotel I've been too so far
Stayed there in late january. Cold time of year, but rooms were very clean and employees were great to work with
I'll keep this to the point. Don't stay here, keep looking.
