good place for doing community service if your on probation lol

Good attention is good. To the public.very friendly

We planted some fruit threes so that they can be harvested for the people in need.

The food bank is awesome! You would never imagine how big it is on the inside by looking at the outside. It does wonderful work for many many people. I'm just and I wasn't aware of that. My hats off to the dedicated people who work there for the benefit of other people!

The blessings that our given to the people is very much appreciated. Thank you all fr for your generosity.

Here for the School Tools program with my wife. This program helps some Elementary Schools. If yours one? I'm a High School Teacher. I can't use this program, so I recommend Donors Choose

They are now only giving food once per year per household. But they give you a referral to another food pantry. Lots of really good items. Stuff we really needed.

The Food Bank provides many services to the needy of the Rio Grande Valley. The staff is dedicated and goes the extra mile to serve those in need.

Amanda the coordinator of the program was very rude to me. She only gave me a can of baby formula for my son only because I wasnt on WIC. She told me I couldn't go back . That this was the only can I was gonna get.

It's an amazing place that helps the community. EDR picks the orders to help the community of McAllen as well.

Not a place to go regularly but for an emergency it is a great place to get help with food.

It is a place to go when you don't make ends meet and don't have enough groceries. They provide you with some food essentials for free. Good food not spoiled. The attendants treat you with respect they don't look down at you. They are always looking for volunteers! Great way to help the community especially those in need!

You tell them you have herniated disc and they still want you to go to your nearest church. I was told to get someone also living in the home to go in our place why should they go

This is a very good place if you need to do hours for NJHS or NHS or even for court assigned hours.

Very helpful and courteous employees. I came here with a friend who was in need of food and help.

FOR DELIVERIES ONLY: Upon arrival, don t just sign the sign-in sheet and go sit in your truck. Instead, ask them to check your PO number and APPT TIME to make sure you re on their deliveries list - or you ll be surprised to find out that you didn t accomplish anything in that time you spent waiting for someone to come get you. They just write the arrival time on your BOL and don t verify anything else. They don t even have a place to write your PO number on the check-in sheet so that alone should tell you where you stand. Don t just go by what dispatch/broker told you. Verify your appt time upon arrival, yourself.

My review is for the Shipping and Receiving dept. only. The food bank in general was a clean and friendly place. It is also a great place to volunteer and make a difference in your community by helping the less fortunate. I highly recommend you stop by to learn how you can help. You shouldn t wait until it s a court order.

Great place. Ive been here needing food. And I've been here to volunteer. Volunteers are ALWAYS needed.

Monday - Friday 8a to noon & 1p to 5p

Volunteered for the Wounded Warrior Project. The Food Bank personnel were awesome! Very professional and run an amazing program for the Valley!

We had a group of about 50 kids volunteer here and compared to 2 yrs ago, it is SO MUCH cleaner! Everything is so orderly, and extremely well kept. I am looking forward to our next volunteer day!!

Great people helping everybody with what they can to improve the
