It's a nice airport, the bathrooms are decent and kept up. There is a lot of restaurants and nice charging centers. I try to avoid this airport due to the size. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from terminal A to B and when you only have 20 minutes to walk to your connecting flight it can make travel stressful.

Thank you Karen C., a Southwest customer service employee, who helped get my boyfriends dad on a flight to Raleigh, North Carolina after his flight was canceled to Charlotte this evening. She went above and beyond by assisting him from the check in desk to his flight. As he was walking around in the airport lost, we could hear he was winded and out of breath. I asked him to hand the phone to an employee, Karen, and I explain his situation. He had wandered out of the security area accidentally. He needed to get back through security and across the airport to make a flight that she was also able to rebook him on. Without her this evening, we would have been a nervous wreck attempting to explain to him how navigate the airport by phone. She was a blessing and I m so happy she is an employee there! Thank you again

Changing planes is easier here then it is at OHare. The food in the two terminals is awful, the decent stuff is in the food court between the A & B terminals. For a real Chicago hot dog go-to Gold Coast Dogs in the food court.

Food service options went down hill a lot recently. Smells like bad politics. Brand names like Harry Carays, Potbellies, even McDonalds we're removed and replaced with no name copycats, bad service, bad food, and high prices. Seriously bad.

We were parked at red economy parking lot. The driver made a full bus load of us passengers all get off at bus stop# 5, he was only making one stop, no matter where you were parked! His reason he had to go somewhere else! Poorest service ever and we had to pay $$ a day for this!!

Midway needs to be cautious of who they hire. The people outside directing traffic are rediculous. A women came up to my drivers car who was already moving out the way, tapped on his window and said don t hold up my traffic anymore! When I told her that was uncalled for she said whatever ! Going through security the officers yell at you, and are rude telling you to move forward and around, like you are a problem as well. The food is too expensive, and not tasteful .

My parents arrived at 10:00 am from SATX. My parents needed assistance as we requested a wheelchair for my dad. The mindless rude inconsiderate attendant took my dad in the wheelchair and left my mom behind. She could not find my dad and when she FINNALLY did my dad was just left there alone and the attendant did not even get their baggage.

I told my mom "she's not in Texas anymore" - worse customer service ever!!! My mom can't even identify the jerk who did this because she took my dad in the wheelchair and practically "RAN"!!

Easy to get to and easy to leave, but security here is usually not fast. Every time I fly out of Midway, it always takes at least half an hour to get through security, unless you have TSA pre-check.

I love Midway! The security lines almost always fly by! There are tons of food an beverage options. Plenty of places to charge your devices, and usually everyone is the standard Chicago surly/happy/midwestern-polite/attitude to-a-tee!

No kosher food (which is a disappointment and hence the 4 stars), but the terminals are usually cleaned promptly, and the entire facility is going through a much needed upgrade. There are a fair number of coffee and food stations.

It would be amazing if the city actually put in some live music options, or got a sponsor to donate a piano, so passengers with looooong layovers, could make a little music :)

The CTA brings you almost right to the door, but be prepared to walk in the exposed elements for about 1/2 a mile to get from CTA to the main building.

I prefer Midway over O'Hare. It's smaller and easier to navigate. Your not as rushed going gate to gate. A good selection of shops and restaurants. Baggage is easy to find. I particularly like the sitting area which pays homage to it's namesake. It's not often you find a WWII plane hanging from the ceiling. You can take the train into town. Southwest flies there so always a win.

The absolute worst airport to fly through. The employees at each of the restaurants are incredibly rude and have no sense of class or customer service. There are no real coffee shops. This place is a joke avoid it if possible

Bad, REALLY BAD,I Was An Unaccompanied Minor And I got of the plane. My dad was confused of where I was... and then the lady at the gate called my dad an idiot behind his and my back, a truly AWFUL and DISRESPECTFUL employee, Horrible Experience, Worst Ever

Truly wonderful environment! I'm a frequent flyer, Midway is my preferred airport. Lines for security are usually quick and painless. Facilities are clean and employees are more helpful than some other airports (looking at you, ORD & ATL, the smaller guy just pwned you).

McDonalds near gate B14 has the most ill mannered staff I have yet to encounter in any public venue! The manager on duty is arrogant sarcastic and ill suited for promoting customer service skills. Frankly he acts like he is in heat. His primary concern appears to be hitting on or showing off for his young female cashiers!

Flew into/out of Chicago Midway via Porter. Checkin/baggage/customs/security were all very smooth processes. When travelling with an infant they make you go to a different area for security but the process was pretty efficient. Several different places to eat but most with long lines. Quite disappointed that there is no duty free store at this airport.

This is THE WORST airport I've ever flown into! The TSA here is the worst I've ever come across. Literally they checked almost every single persons bag buy hand and doing the tab that they rub inside the suitcase and run it through the little machine to see if it had any red flags. I literally watched them search this poor woman with her baby and they were scaring the baby by their not so friendly attitudes and literally took them 15 mins of the 30 that I was waiting to check her and her baby. A bunch of TSA agents standing around running their mouths doing nothing. It took me literally 30 mins for them to do their little search of not only my suitcase but my purse. After I stood there for 30 mins they didn't care about being efficient with time. I mean it's a AIRPORT TSA, people have flights to catch. You seriously are the worst airport ever and so rude. Once I and a couple other people were complaining they STILL didn't move faster. In fact they went slower like we're on their time and they have no respect for ours. One TSA agent intentionally picked up my bag after I asked her if someone can check my bag she intentionally went over there and picked it up looked at me and put it back down and walked off because she knew I was annoyed with how long I was standing there. Whoever runs this airport needs to be fired along with all the TSA employees and hire some compitant people. I will fly to O'hare over ever coming back to this dump of an airport. Just a little advice to who runs this airport, hire people that actually want to work instead of jaw jack and complain. Lazy, lazy, lazy. If I could give negative stats I would. I have been to a lot of airports and they have always been respectful of people and their time and very efficient.

Easy to navigate, but really dislike the food options for healthy eaters. I would like to see a larger variety of food choices. Apparently Dunkin Donuts won the contract, because there are no Starbucks in sight. Starbucks at least has egg bites....Dunkin has donuts and muffins

I witnessed multiple unprofessional guards not respect law abiding citizen's Rights. They seem to want to dictate and take the law into their own hands. Time for officer retraining, starting with De-Escalation.

I ve never met more rude workers at any other air port. Yellers, pushy, and down right rude. I had a knee injury that caused me to need to stop on the way out of security. Literally got yelled at to keep moving.. you could CLEARLY see i was in pain and needed to fix my brace i tried to move couldn t, no one offered help or assistance, asked if they could help get me somewhere quicker just kept yelling at me to move. Was RIDICULOUS. Even other workers just stared. Absolute unprofessional and down right rude. Horrible customer service

Lines are decent for TSA pre, but regular lines are usually long, the layout can lead to a lot of walking, seating isn't always the easiest to find, there could be many more outlets for charging, the drop-off area is small for the airport size, the restaurant selection is decent, its mostly clean

My flight was supposed to BOARD at 1010 and depart at 1040. I'm standing here at 1058 and they are now boarding but the monitor still says 1040 departing. Good job guys.
Edit: I don't actually care if it's delayed a bit, but you have all of this technology at your fingertips and you don't use it for the simple stuff.

Midway is the only airport that Southwest flies to plus it is closer to downtown then O'hare. However, the security line is always terrible here which is why I am giving such a low rating. Get it together Midway!

It's a lot faster to drop and pick up some one from here than O'Hare. If you do have to park checkout the the garage on 55th it has cheap daily rates and they have a shuttle to the airport.

Its small and easy to navigate. I found the general staff there quite rude on my last visit. Easy to get to on public transportation. Bad airport for a layover. Easy to get through security. Overall not a bad little airport

This airport hardly ever shuts down. MUCH better than O'Hare. These guys are bulldogs and get those planes in and out efficiently. Never run into issues here. Calm, relaxing and pleasurable experiences.

I lived in the Chicago area for nearly 10 years from 1998 through 2006. I used Midway many times during that period. It served my needs adequately. I am now retired and living on the east coast. I returned this weekend to attend an event. I am 69 years old. I am an engineer so I can generally figure things out. Nontheless, my wife and I walked around most of Midway airport with our bags looking for the shuttle to the rental car terminal. Signage is nearly non- existent and asking employees that we ran into was an exercise in dealing with rule clueless people. Chicago, you should be ashamed!

Awful customer service. The girl I talked to sounded aggravated to even answer the phone and when I asked if the flight would be leaving on time because the website was showing a later time, she put me on hold and then didn't return to the call.

One of the dirtiest and out of date airports in the country. Rude customer service, terrible security system, they are rude and speak very softly. I fly usually 2 times a week from this airport and if southwest was at o'hare I wouldntt come back to this dump

This is the worst airport I have been to. It is disorganized and inconsiderate. There wasn't any wheelchairs available when we off the plane. When an wheelchair was brought it was only brought for one of the people I was traveling with. One wheelchair was refused for the other person because they weren't on the list even though that had a handicap ticket. When we finally arrived to the terminal, the boarding time kept getting set back due to "air traffic control." Even when we landed, we were delayed to the terminal because another airplane was blocking the path. This airport doesnt know what it is doing and isnt able to function smoothly because of it. I would recomend any other airport but dont go to this one unless you want to play the waiting game

Security is unorganized and unnecessarily long. Pet relief areas are not functional at all. The indoor pet area is a patio pee pad they purchased out of Sky Mall magazine. The outdoor area is on a concrete pad. I think the airport spent more on signs reminding people to keep their pets in the carrier unless it s a service animal. Food selection is really the only decent thing. Not a fan of traveling through here.

I like this airport but they should teach their staff how to communicate with other people, I went to pick up my family and this person was rude. That s not how they should be talking to people.

Excellent facilities and very easy check in for departures. Upon arrival staff were very friendly

Well situated airport with easy access from various routes. Airport roadways are simple to navigate with excellent signage. Pick up and drop off are at various locations around the terminal, the free drop off is especially good, ample parking, suitcase trolleys available too, and just a five minute walk away from the terminal building.
