TSA should sincerely consider hiring more staff and look into development of proper procedures for expediting passengers more efficiently. So, when a passenger informs you that their flight is leaving in 15 minutes and they're already standing in line for hour and 20 minutes, then there should be someway to accommodate the passengers.

Great airport and was easy to navigate through! I highly recommend traveling through this airport. I have not flown into the others so I cannot say it is actually better then the others however if you want a great choice then I can say traveling through this one is a great option. No issues and lines weren't long through security or anything.

Whenever I return home to visit relatives, this is the airport to come to. It's not too big, not too small and the food is great! It's also more easily accessible for pickup and quicker way to travel to the South Side.

Tuesday morning we were to fly out my mom is in a wheelchair and I sent her with the wheelchair attendants to go through security while I returned the rental car. my mom was in line with all other wheelchair patrons for almost 2 hours; another wheelchair patron had been there a total of three hours, we all missed our flight Due to the fact that there weren t enough people to actually handle the wheelchairs through security. I initially drop my mom off at curbside with an attendant and they were supposed to meet me at our flight gate. However, when I got to the gate she was not there I even checked the plane as other wheelchair patrons had loaded and she was not there as well. I started to panic as she had been dropped off along time ago and it should have been at the gate. She also had not called me so I did not know where she was. It was upsetting to find out when I did call her that she was still sitting at security, waiting to be screened. I saw many Tsi people meandering around talking in groups and not actually working with the patrons who are trying to get through the airport, when I passed thru. Had I known that my mom had been set to the side of the security line, nowhere near where the rest of the the passengers were passing through, I would ve been able to collect her and take her through myself. Due to the lackadaisical nature of the Attendants my mom and I missed our flight and had to be redirected. There were also two other patrons in wheelchairs that missed the flight as well. This is not acceptable you can t just place will chair patrons to the side they have to be attended to it s inappropriate to have due to the lackadaisical nature of the attendance my mom and I missed her flight and had to be redirected. There were also two other patrons in wheelchairs that missed the flight as well. This is not acceptable you can t just place wheelchair patrons to the side they have to be attended to it s inappropriate to have their missed their flights. them miss their flights. i was told that the wheelchair attendants are not concerned with whether the wheelchair patrons make their flight or not. unfortunately the company that provides services to the wheelchair patrons is not maintained by the airlines directly.

Got stuck here for a couple of hours due to missing a flight. My uncle and I tried the pizza and it was very subpar. The tacos were not that great at all either. It's an airport so I expect to pay more money than usual, but at least serve me top notch food for what I'm paying. The ice cream was probably the best out of everything. Also TSA were long sure to ppl moving slow and trying to bring their house on the plane lbvvs. I prefer O'Hare airport, the food is much better.

I'm extremely offended (and also disappointed that I didn't catch it earlier) that the check-in security wrote my ethnicity on my boarding ticket. I have never once felt discriminated against. This was the first time I've ever had ANYONE write my ethnicity blatantly on my ticket without an explanation. Was this necessary?

Perhaps I'm just ignorant on my airline etiquette. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I highly doubt there is any policy regarding writing someone's racial background on their boarding ticket.

So the airport isn t bad, it actually clean and easy to get around. If you plan on lunch or buying something to eat at ANY one of the restaraints or news stations then i strongly recommend bringing your own or buy it in the first airport your in. The customer service is horrid! Not one of the people I had contact with today could step away from their friend long enough to provide even one little bit of customer service. I finally had to chase one of the ladies down to buy a yogert and force her to stop talking to her friend long enough to take my money. At one of the concessions at A4A I actually heard this. Now I hope you can follow. I will do my best to recreate the conversation and spell it the way they said it. Oh gril da party gonna be off da hook! I don no wer da afta party be at but i gonna be der. Yo wan me drive? To sayin you gonna drive....... ok I m sick of the idiots that hire people like this and allow it. Let alone the fact I m actually less intelligent just listening to these things talk. How an international airport allows this I do not know. Is this all there is to hire in Chicago? If this is it than our country has bigger problems than what fox or cnn report. Time to create some homelessness in Chicago and deman a better worker!

Great airport to fly quickly in and out of. Huge hub for Southwest with feeder flights for other airlines. Some decent food options after security and plenty of plugs and seating. Less delays than ORD with a much shorter taxi time to take off. The landings are always fun with a very short takeoff field.

Not as crowded as O'Hare. Less stress and the Orange Line in to the city is nice break from the hassle of a cab. Inside, the airport is nicely laid out and shows a good bit of history of the airport and the area.
TSA is simply what it is. I haven't found it worse or better here than anywhere else.

Midway is one of two airports in the City of Chicago. Where time is nothing, Midway is a airport where you will never need to rush. Security time being so short youll breeze through in a matter of seconds with no problms at all.

Why are airport employees calling the police on citizens taking pictures in the public lobby of the airport? What exactly are you doing that you don't want the public to know about? Here's a tip... photography isn't a crime!

Great to fly but the food options have gone WAY downhill. They had decent food before and basically threw that away for terrible options. Wonder who's pocket is getting greased on that change. The new establishments don't appear to be doing that well either. Eat at home.

This airport can definitely be a bit confusing to get around at first, which is odd since it is not that big. After you figure out the layout is not a problem. The main problem with this airport is that there are too many flights. It is over capacity when any little thing goes wrong with schedules there can be big delays, since most of the gates are full. The number of people also make it very difficult to get transportation out of the airport - free shuttles fill up, taxi lines get long, the traffic can be bad.
The security lines were not very long compared to the lines to get checked in. It seems the TSA here is equipped to handle the people.
The "Orange Line" train runs right next to the airport. It is a pretty long walk, but the first 1/2 is all inside.

You know its bad when I would prefer to fly out of JFK. Airport is rinky dink and ran as such. We are currently sitting here at 11pm and they have decided that they are going to strip and refinish the floors in the ONLY open terminal. Not to mention they have the entire airport funneling passengers through a TSA checkpoint with 3 running lines, utter chaos. I've been to regional airports that are ran better!

Nice airport as people say clean and plenty of places to eat. You still need at least 70 minutes coming internationally to get to a domestic flight but much better than east coast hubs. There are places for power but not as extensive as other airports and the seats are not as comfortable as other hubs. Generally they keep the place clean and the announcements are not as overbearing as other airports.

Needs some airport lounges. However, I did just have a great experience at True Burger. Got a bunless chicken sandwich on lettuce. Very happy with that. It's right by gate A5. Didn't have it's own google listing as of 8/8/17 so I'm just putting this under the airport.

Laid over here for 7 hours at no fault of this particular airport. Pro tips: Concourse C is amazing place to hang out while waiting on your flight. Cleanest bathrooms too in case you need to drop heat . Harry Caray's Restaurant won't allow you to bring your stroller inside and makes you leave it outside. I didn't chance it. Ice cream spot in the food court is stupid delicious.

The worst airport I have ever seen. It does not have enough facilities, restrooms, gates or seating space. If you try to eat here forget it. The floor is covered with people because there is no place to sit... And this is in good weather....

They should be ashamed to land planes here.

Worst airport I've ever been to.

Worst airport I've ever been to.
No facilities. Had a flight at 5am can't even pass the security gates the night before. Restrooms are ENTIRELY CLOSED during the cleaning, for 2 hours, are you kidding me ? The only other restroom not even indicated by signals.

A great airport. Compact and accessible to the south side and the loop via public transit. The single security checkpoint assures a more reliable flow rate since it is impossible to have a bottleneck at one point while another sits idle as often happens at O'hare. I particularly enjoy the ceiling-mounted relief map of lake Michigan just past the security checkpoint.

Kicking out Potbelly's and Lalocs and McDonald's -- seriously??? Midway went from having great food options to really having nothing authentic. Try getting an iced coffee anywhere in the airport. What a mistake

It was really busy. Clean for the most part. I was disappointed in the food selection and it was very expensive. I understand it's an airport. I've been in a bunch of airports and trust me the prices are high.

This airport has always worked for me. It is quick to get through security there, and is not too large to get around in. The staff were professional. The food choices are fine. All in all, an easy place to fly through. I find it less hectic then O'Hare.

Nothing stood out as great or terrible but i made the mistake of eating at king wah in the food court. Seems to me that the airport ought to revoke the lease of any place with 2 stars and consistently bad reviews.

I have visited three times since the changes they implemented in June 2017 and all were horrible experiences. I typically fly early mornings and late afternoons and the restaurant selection is horrible with little options for breakfast or coffee. The options that were available were out of stock on half their menu. And while TSA still had a separate Pre-Check security checkpoint, Midway removed the separate line for Pre-Check that was tucked to the right of general boarding and directed all passengers to general boarding. The line wrapped to the garage and back. I love Southwest but unfortunately their great service doesn't compensate for the poor changes to Midway. Going forward I will defer to an airline that flys out of O'Hare.

Chicago Midway is much smaller and far less busy than its sister airport O'Hare International, and for that, I have always been grateful. As of this writing in December 2019 the airport is still currently undergoing a lot of construction, but I found next to no delays in terms of check-in and security. There are several nice restaurants for guests to relax and enjoy a drink or bite to eat, and there is also a yoga room and a room for mothers to breastfeed. Overall, always a great experience.

Go into a restaurant and eat. The snack food that is sold along the side of the airport terminals are older...can tell by eating it and they are way overpriced. I just spent $17 on a small salad and chips. Go to a restaurant instead well worth it

Their food choices are terrible. When I am laying over through Midway I make it a point to buy and keep food with me from the previous airport. The lines long, prices are not managed properly (I m not buying a sandwich for $15...) and options are very limited.
