We go through Chicago's Midway airport quite a bit to visit relatives. The airport is well located -- we always take the train to downtown and walk a couple blocks to catch the train to South Bend airport. The connections are somewhat easy to make. The Midway terminal is easy to get through and most of the time we have flown in or out, the lines have not been long.

Such an easy airport to get through! Occasionally, in security areas and hallways, you'll think you're at the finest airport in Kazakhstan, but Southwest terminal is in fairly good shape.

I usually don't leave reviews because service is standard at most airports. Get on the plane, get off the plane nothing special. I'm not sure who was announcing the flights on Gates A4A and A4B today, but some retraining may be in order. The announcers kept giving the wrong flight information about which gate the passengers should be at. It almost caused my wife and I to miss our flight. If I can avoid it, I plan to never fly through this airport again.

Easy to navigate.

Easy to navigate.
Cheap parking with free shuttle service in the surrounding area.
Southwest only flies out of Midway in Chicago.

the employees are very aggressive and even rude that may incite violence with that behavior so out of place, good behavior and good manners is indispensable in these times where so much hate is being scattered everywhere we must act with kindness and patience. pity airport ... teach your employees to behave and smile with their customers, which in the end you ,without customers would be nothing.

Midway > O'hare

Midway > O'hare

Just more simple and easy to get through the airport and be on your way.

I always have a good experience going through security and is fast 85% of the time. I can't believe they got rid of all the good, better priced restaurants at Midway. They need to invest in a food court and bring back Potbelly's. The restaurants they have now are terrible. Too expensive, too slow and horrible food.

Fast paced airport. The restrooms are pretty small in comparison to other markets I guess. The workers are helpful and it's fairly clean and well kept. There are several eating and shopping options tho not quite my choices. As a stopover I don't have any actual complaints

Terrible airport. Gates A14-19 (Southwest) are jam packed and not enough seating. Staff is extremely rude. For being such a busy airport, it needs to be bigger with much more seating options. Especially when you have six gates crammed into one small area.

I thinking about asking my employer for a $100 premium for every time the plane bounces on landing. That should get them to spring for a plane with a decent place to land... It's scary here.

nnice

Ok... so I have been living in Chicago for a while for work and it has been ok. I always fly out of midway and it has always been just ok. But... they recently changed their security system. It is slow and it sucks. The workers were extremely rude and had to open up my family s bags which took about fifteen minutes. They are unorganized and next time, I might as well take a boat to Colorado!

Smaller scale, clean, more efficient and closer to the city center than O'hare. This airport is a very nice alternative for Chicago. Only 20 minutes from Downtown via the Orange Line. They have security lines divided into "casual travelers, families and expert travelers so I always go through it a lot quicker. It also has a decent selection of food and drink establishments

My biggest complaint is the little message on the walkways "caution: the moving walkway is ending" which if you're waiting in a gate next to it for a while, that can get stuck in your head for your entire vacation

Midway was an interesting experience. I only fly into Midway and never fly out so I have not had the full in and out experience yet. The airport seems a bit small with not a lot of places to go to. Restaurants seem alright.

I also was not the biggest fan of the Lyft code experience. Not sure if it is mandatory just at that airport or what. The lines for security check in seem outrageously long too.

The airport is good not great.

Tough to find a seat, always cramped and very stressful environment. They need to expand but not sure they have anymore square footage. Good luck if you need a plug add there's fierce competition for the few outlets they have.

TSA precheck lines close at 8:20 every night, but that information isn't listed anywhere on my boarding pass, itinerary, or receipt. Missed my flight because the precheck line was closed and took over an hour to get through security.

As of 9-13-2020 lots of resturants are still closed. Hard to keep distance. Most wear masks now but didn't see any enforcement of policy outside of lots of signage. Clean very clean. Will pass through again.

Clean, pretty airport with friendly staff. Small enough to navigate easily within it. Very impressive interactive display about the WWII Battle of Midway with an actual training fighter plane pulled from Lake Michigan, restored, and hanging from the ceiling. Lots of delicious restaurants with authentic Chicago food. Beautiful shops with so many gift selections. Free parking lot assistance for car trouble - we locked our keys in our car and a smiling attendant had us rescued in 10 minutes. I love this airport - it is one of Chicagos special gems.

Clean and modern. Excellent access to city via Orange Line. Security is usually not bad. Nice food court. Cons: Runway is short - landings can be rough. There is also no Starbucks. Seating limited at the gates.

I ve flown out of Midway so many times, really almost every time I fly somewhere. And every time I come back I spend a ridiculous amount of time waiting on bags at baggage claim. Midway has by far the slowest baggage claim I ve ever experienced. Most airports will have the bags going before you get down to baggage claim. Not midway though.

The black woman at the Southwest Airlines counter ...

The black woman at the Southwest Airlines counter is unqualified to work the check-in. She coerces unwitting passengers to carry and lift the heavy load to some distant location over a one hundred feet away without the assistance of a hand-truck. Southwest Airlines at Midway Chicago airport does not screen their counter workers to prevent this. That's the job of the counter worker to lift and carry the checked-baggages.

Why the HELL do they close all the bars and restaurants at 10pm???? There are still lots of people in here.....sitting on floors and being bored. People like me who's flight got delayed 3 hours.

New food vendor and restaurant options are horrible. Pricing is ridiculous, service terrible, and they're constantly out of things on the menus (multiple experiences with this). I fly through 4 times per month and food has gone waaaay downhill. Unfortunate. I'll start flying through o'hare when I can.
