Overpriced, unorganized, rude employees everywhere. One of the worst airports I have been to. Will try to avoid it in the future.
This isn't about the airport, but True Burger (near concourse A5). As they aren't listed in Google Maps I can't leave them a review under their name.
Anyway, True Burger is a True Total ripoff. Expensive, gives people the wrong order, burgers are salty, an utter rubbish. Avoid.

Great airport, i used code above to get from airport to the city.
Just flew out of this airport yesterday, a Monday, at around 5 pm. Got to the airport early anticipating horrific security lines. The line was anything but that. I breezed through security within 15 minutes. Was able to sit and have a meal and have PLENTY of time left before boarding my flight. Definitely not like anything I expected from previous reviews. I enjoyed flying into and out of this airport much more than my previous experience at O'Hare. I will definitely fly through Midway the next time I visit Chicago.
Security lanes are terrible. Food at most restaurants isn't very good. Airport is mostly clean though.
Was great, no lines, no taking off shoes, didn't have to go in the xray machine either... took about 15 minutes from drop off to plane.
Had a 3 hour layover, Terrible food selection, nowhere to sit and order a meal. The places I did try to eat at had some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. Really a substandard airport in every conceivable way.
Very busy.southwest has the most flights and there services are fair.
Fast, friendly service. Much smaller and faster than O'Hare but still a good selection of flights.
Great Southwest Terminal at Midway. Very busy, lots of people, lots of food choices and other retail options.
From the time we left the gate until airborne was less than 15 minutes. Very efficient, very typical Southwest experience
Flew in a new 800 series aircraft today. Very nice.
Thanks again Southwest !
Bring back Potbelly, McDonald's and Manny's. So disappointed Manny's breakfast no longer an option. Outside of the overpriced food options currently available, it's a good airport.
This place is awesome , and the people who work here are even better . Great hospitality. I delivered a load here and the forklift they rented wasn't heavy enough to pick up the load. They thought I would have to come back the next day when another forklift would be there and was offering to put me up in a hotel and leave my truck inside their locked gate. They found a lift at or in another part of the airport and was able to unload me . They bought me lunch as well . All this happened at eagle flight services
Great place to catch a southwest flight! Small airport so it's easy to get there just an hour before flight!
I love midway. I always get through security quickly and efficiently. TSA is awesome at this airport. They get you through but also ensure that everyone is safe.
Quick airport if the timings right. Easy to
Navigate once you are finished security. Plenty of food options and moving sidewalks. It's cool when you land right in the middle of the city.
Great alternative transportation options however, staff is very rude and unhelpful. I travel the nation for a living and this is the worst airport I ve ever been to.
This is a very nice airport. Bathrooms and gates are kept clean. You have charging stations, outlets. The only thing that really annoys me is the new food selections. A lot of the old Family Friendly restaurants are gone, now. The Food options for kids is very limited. There are still good food places, though it's better for Adults. Parents, should pack food for the kids or eat before you come to the airport.
Very poor infrastructure for the amount of volume this airport receives.
This has to be one of the worst airports yet. The man looking through my stuff was taking his sweet time even though my plane was about to leave in 5 minutes and he threw away my perfume and lotion for no reason and didnt even checked my whole bag and I still missed my plane. I reccomend not choosing this airport.
One of the few airports that still charges for wifi
The place is clean and tight. Southwest flys from here which is great. Security lines are super long. Make sure to come early or you will miss your flight. The CTA train connects directly to it which is super convenient.
Lack of quick food options...almost everything is sit down. Plus the restrooms have a laughable number of stalls. Not sufficient for the amount of travelers.
this is nice airport. it is not bad to fly out of from. i recommend. it is an airport so there is not much craziness but it is nice for what it is. i like flying out of here. good food options. super busy but that's chicago for ya, what are ya gonna do? not much. you just have to live with it. sorry homies.
It's cute. Dining options are way to expensive. 16.25 for a drink?? Major fail White Sox Grill
After the recent renovation, Midway has lost a lot of extremely popular restaurants like McDonald's and Potbellys. Combined with the extremely long walk from the Orange line (which is not 24/7 like the Red) and worse amenities, this is quickly becoming a worse airport than O'Hare.
A lot of the reviewers have panned the employees at Midway for being rude, but I didn't experience that. The lady at the Hudson in Concourse A was very helpful, even letting me know that I could get a larger size of the item I was purchasing for the same price. We didn't patronize any of the restaurants during our brief layover, so I can't comment on that. The Battle of Midway exhibit was interesting and was a nice tribute to this important World War II battle. But why isn't this memorial listed on any of the terminal maps or directional signs? I knew that it was there beforehand and I wanted to see it, but I still had to go hunting for it. (It's at the entrance to Concourse A from the food court area.)
More convenient than O'hare, but this has to be the only airport in the world without a Starbucks. Very disappointing.
The airport itself is not the problem; especially considering they're expanding the security area so the lines will hopefully be shorter and flow much quicker than before. Efficiency has always been what Midway is known for. However, the food options and quality of staff here have both taken a HUGE downward dive recently. Workers here have historically been great, friendly, and caring to customers. Not the case anymore. Food here has always been average on the whole, but they used to have the iconic Potbelly location, which was always busy and was hands down the best restaurant at this airport (in my eyes one of the best fast food options at ANY airport). I'd always stop there pre-flight and grab a sandwich. Now, that location is gone, as are other classics like the McD's and are replaced by awful new restaurants, which are frequently empty. I understand wanting to update the place, but that doesn't mean you need to take away passenger favorites. Overall, this place is really only good for getting in and getting out of. It used to be a decent place to grab a bite and relax before your flight, but not anymore. Also please, work on hiring friendlier and competent staff.
Much of it was nice but they need to clear up the signs and organize arriving public.
Great littler airport on Chicago's South side. Although sooooo many people still don their cubs stuff it's still white Sox country. And the venue is not as hustle and bustle as ohare. So don't fret when you're diverted through midway, it's still a cool landing. Be well vacationsensei
Best way to get to and from the University of Chicago. Much shorter lines than O'Hare. Also, they often have live jazz.
Hard as hell to get to the Beer section but I love the airport never had a bad time there
I fly in and out of Midway every year, and like other people say, the security lines are unreasonably long. Overall a great experience.
Spent 4 hours on a lay over. time went by fast as there is alot to see and some good food
I always use Midway whenever possible, so much more convenient and easier to get around than O'Hare.
I loved this place, I discovered many things going to it
Delta me check my carry on bag for no reason. There was plenty of space overhead and my bag was not large. Employee was rude about it. Not even a thank you or enjoy your trip. Security was nice though. Very friendly guy.
Poor interactions with TSA and other flyers plus limited food options in the terminal at multiple price points led to a poor layover in Chicago Midway.
The wait for the remote garage shuttle bus is unacceptable.
This is a dump of a place and the employees are rude and obnoxious If Kim Yung Coo drops a nuclear firecracker on this hellhole,I will personally cheer that crazy SOB
I traveled to Chicago for the very first time. I flew into Chicago Midway Airport and had the most wonderful experience. It had great restaurants, the staff was very courteous and helpful.Everything was convenient and the process went very smoothly. I highly recommend this Airport.
I love flying out of Midway Airport! The flights are always on time and the TSA lines are much shorter! Shoutout to Southwest and Potbellys! :-)
Just had the best ever Midway experience. All agents were friendly, no yelling and barking commands at you. The lines were bascially nonexistent and lastly, I didn't have to take off my shoes, I just threw my scarf in my purse and was on my way. Keep this up!!!!
Understandably the airport is undergoing some construction. This is not an excuse for several of the restaurants being out of half of the items on their menu and not know this until you got to the front of the line. Also, several of the small markets had small selections and warm beverages and food in the coolers.
I could use some help you know the tourist can indanger themselves when interpol fines them.
I could find better food choices on any corner in Chicago. Then, to add insult to injury, there are NO seats anywhere to sit and eat outside the gates. I had to balance my food on top of a trash barrel to eat lunch.
This airport closes to my home. I like using this airport. I wish they can provide free wifi.
south west airlines and delta airlines aeromexico and united airlines
Great mid west hospitality by TSA staff, best I have ever experienced.
Good fast airport. No problems, the Starbucks was good and security was fast- kind of dirty around security tho- there are nice murals and art on the way from the terminal to the train station
Great airport to fly to because of Southwest but bad location. Takes much more time to get to the city of Northern suburbs of Chicago than ORD.
Overall love Midway (although I am writing this having just experienced Newark Airport ). However, I was disappointed to see the change in food/drink vendors. Really - no Harry Carry!! Why do you think everyone wants a donut before a flight??? Really, remove Cubs for Sox and expect it to be okay?
its an okay airport , but ohare still better then midway .
The midway food upgrade is a bust...less food, everything looks and taste the same....different variations of the same menu. Value for money is ridiculous out of whack now ....10.00 for a ham and cheese sandwich, please.
Lower your standards as low as possible and then dig a hole to the Center of the Earth and then that's where the airport is
Love this airport. Very comfortable to go from one gate to another one.
Can be hard to get to but quick and easy once there
Beautiful airport, hassle-free experience. Would recommend MDW over the dull and busy ORD anyday.
Security lines were garbage today. "Trying out a new scheme" the security guy said. He also said all airports would be doing it soon. If that's true they are about to lose a lot of business. Took more than a minute per person per line, no organization.
The airport's staff is very accomodating. They are always helpful. THe terminals are clean and very organized.
Rocking chairs at the terminals, in front of the large glass windows, are very relaxing.
If you're flying Southwest, this is your airport. Really easy to get to via the CTA, and only 20-something minutes to the Loop on the Orange Line.
80x better than Morelia's airport
Don't choose Volaris probably be the worst airline from Midway (Their food items are too expensive, no tv program, uncontrollable seats and short space) but Morelia is not a good idea to be there, they take all your stuff out of the luggage really...
dont fly out of midway. there are always cancellations. not enough flights to fix cancelled ones. BEWARE.
Airport is clean.
Today, we arrived 40 minutes early and to our surprise we were told we would need to wait for the wheel chair.
After 15 minutes with our ride on the way to go home ...my husband walked to baggage and then to our waiting car which took him 30 minutes.
We were told that the wheelchair ambassadors were out sourced and the company gives their workers a plane schedule and they must follow the assigned times for arrival.
They need to be informed that many arrivals are early to protect the airline's bottom line...passengers arrive early.
This is my preferred airport leaving or coming into the city. It is easy, less crowded than O'Hare and often times cheaper. There is discount parking across the street and it is easily accessible by the el, which is the most convenient option.
