This airport is always in a quick schedule nothing...
This airport is always in a quick schedule nothing really stops your flight from being smooth. But if there was a rank to 1 through 10 I would choose 10.;-)

Not a bad airport. Easy to get around. Clean. Just enough space to not feel like a sardine.
Not that much variety in restaurants as there was before.
They need more seating for layovers and boarding area
From first to worst due to "new and un-improved" rental car situation. This airport used to have it hands down over O'Hare--not any longer. The once uber-convenient and efficient rental car operation is no more. You used to be able to grab your bag at baggage claim walk about 40 yards to an elevator to second floor of parking garage to get your car--all covered, never having to go out into the elements or having to catch a shuttle off terminal. Now ALL rental cars are off site and you must take a shuttle. Great job idiots. This is Chicago--remember weather?
No handicap assistance, or skycap to help you out front of Check in outside.
A piercing alarm rang out for (no exaggeration) over half the 3 hours we waited in B Concourse. It was practically unbearable. I will avoid Midway as much as possible. Unfortunately this requires avoiding Southwest, my favorite airline.
The Potbelly's at Midway is great! Easy to get to Midway - no traffic! :)
They replaced all of the quick food options near the gates with Dunkin' Donuts and the Sandwich places with pizza what was convenient is now disappointing. The lack of options is enough to make me reconsider flying southwest in the future.
This airport is very easy to drive into from any of the freeways. It's well signed and clean. Good variety and many options for food and retail. It's open and airy which makes it seem less crowded. There are several pit stops for the four legged travelers too
Not as nice as O'hare, but you can get through security much faster and the terminals are much easier to navigate. There's also access to the cit via the CTA orange line.
Would give it a 0 if I could. Long wait, terrible service
It's a smaller airport in Chicago with plenty of good connections. It is a major southwest hub with nonstop flights anywhere in the continental U.S.. The facilities are dated and there can be a really long wait at the single security checkpoint. Thus TSA Precheck is really useful here.
I smell a rat, and I will have my revenge! MDW used to be my favorite connecting airport - not because of the airport, which is overcrowded and prone to delays, but because I could stop at Potbelly's for a terrific sandwich for a non-airport price. I'd always get two, one to eat, one to take on my next flight.
Against their will, they got kicked out. They were probably the most successful airport restaurant in the country. McD's too. Basically, the airport wanted to raise revenue and other restaurants didn't want the competition, so they changed the terms to only allow grossly overpriced mediocre typical airport food.
Sorry, I now try to connect elsewhere. And when I do go to MDW, like this week, you'd better believe that I will be intentionally skipping all MDW dining options to protest.
I am as cheap as they come! If you are reading this review spend the extra couple of bucks and fly out of Ohare you will be happy you did!
Simple to get around. I wish staff would clean more. Most of the employees were standing around watching guest and not providing any assistance just watching. Employees are NOT friendly, helpful and don t smile. It cost nothing to smile.
TSA is incredibly inefficient and the least friendly of people to work with. It took 40 minutes to get through TSA whereas in Settle it took 5 minuets (with same level of folks). Parking is very expensive (but keep in mind it is rub by high-taxation city of Chicago).
TSA is horrible at this airport! The line for security seems to have been designed by a two year old. Add an extra hour to your expected security wait.
Seriously there are validated queing models that move passengers thru lines much more efficiently. TSA wake up!!!
The airport itself is great to fly into but it appauls me how Chicago Police treat the Homeless on the night shift .Recently i was on a flight delay from Dallas to columbus and had to spend the night CPD did their rounds and harassed everybody including my self thinking i was Homeless i was offended by this and began to let the officer know it early in the morning a heavy set short white shirt told a gentleman to " get the fk out of here take your ass back to the train" i was upset. And let her know about it...Midway talk too your Midnight Cops
Clean and easy to get around but woefully short on coffee/bfast spots. NO STARBUCKS or decent coffee places. Only DD and the coffee tastes pretty terrible.
Avoid this airport if you plan to eat before boarding your plane.
NEVER-ENDING Lines.
NO SIT DOWN Restaurants.
I'm really liking my experience at Midway Airport. Airlines seem to classify travelers when they check-in. You may be selected to go through the normal TSA check-in or one that is a little less taxing--you will not have to take off your shoes. The airport offers the normal fare of Chicago themed food, reading materials, historical exhibits, and souvenirs. I really appreciate the charging room provided by the Chicago Department of Aviation. It is quite and the charging stations worked. The room is great compared to what you find in other airports. Charging stations in the middle of the isles or along walls where they are hard to find.
I fly from here and I land from here. That's all that matters IF that's all that matters to you.
I am a Southwest die hard and so I have spent quite a bit of time at Midway. Midway flights are on time for the most part and it is 100% better than OHare except when it comes to food choices. Midway revamped their food choices a little over a year ago and not in a good way. Lately I've been thoroughly dissatisfied with their parking shuttle services. (Hint: Take the rental car shuttle back to the economy garage) I find it very frustrating that I watch 3 rental car shuttles pass as I wait for the 1 economy garage shuttle to the airport.
TSA precheck line moves quickly. Unfortunately, no Delta Sky Club.
This airport is not safe! The police inside the airport only sent us back to the Southwest employee who sent us to them. I don't feel safe and cannot find any assistance. Officer Covington with the Chicago Police and Irene with Southwest.
It was very attractive you got to just read and ask questions, ask people at the desk , follow signs. It was very nice the restroom is very clean, good atmosphere, children friendly elderly people gets good attention, nice place. You can see when the plane land and came in for the passengers, you could purchase food and other items. Very nice place and nice customer service. Nice place.
I would give a 0 if possible. Have flown thru midway frequently this last year and decided they do not listen to passengers, and need to send a message by connecting elsewhere. Their options for healthy dining is abhor able. Flying thru Baltimore you have healthy smoothies, Chipotle, healthy sandwich options and all day Breakfast. In Midway there is only fried food, processed food, rude waitresses and a dirty old terminal. Will speak with my travel dollars.
This is a great airport to go to places.
not to bad.
i bring my own food. you should too.
AMAZING! The service was superb as well as there dominent carrier (Southwest) while they also have Delta and Airtran. They have the Orange line that connects to down town and O'Hare. Well the worst thing was the prices of the food chains there its expensive but other then that in my opinion its perfect.
The departure & arrival attendants are extremely incompetent compared to other airports. The vendors are terrible, long lines, with people working who don't care about customer service. As the gateway to and from the city you need to staff it with people who are trained in ambassadorship!
Flight to was nice, Love flying to see Mom.
This airport is very clean with lots of dinning choices.
Very cramped, few merchant options.
This is particularly bad during COVID
Nice airport. They've recently redone the food options. Many seem like an upgrade though they got rid of Harry Carey's... So sad about that. Always looked forward to spending time in there before my flight.
Before the food changes, this was a 4 out of 5 star airport. Now, it's a 2 out of 5 at best. Still convenient during non-busy times, but once you're inside it's one of the worst places to be in the world. Awful dining options and amenities here, nothing to do. Things were a lot better when McD's and Potbelly were here to at least get a decent bite at a fair price; especially for early morning flights. Not anymore. Everything is generic, overpriced, and horrible renditions of a few local restaurants (Home Run Inn and Porkchop). If they re-opened Potbelly's and put in a McD's or Chick Fil A, this place would be a lot better.
TLDR- It's convenient but dining and amenities are terrible. Eat before you go through security if you come here.
The name says it. Necessary stop-over between towns not directly connected by flights. The airport is more lighted and has more food choices than before. No real coffee place. The walk between B2 gate to gate A4B was brutal. Midway would need to do a lot more passenger-friendly upgrades to become an airport of desire!
Great airport other than there being glass in the TSA line so when you take your shoes off you get glass in your feet. Learn how to vacuum.
The airport was quite middle of the road and offered nothing new or unique, but was not a hindrance to our travel.
Is easy access and you can pass through security in less time than o hare!
Watch out for connections going through Chicago - could leave you stranded!
A lot of food choices are gone. Prices are higher and food quality is poor. Sad i will be waiting to get to another airport to eat and on next trips i will plan not to be expecting to eat. Im sure so rent changes must have happened. Greed. Sad one year later i see they have a new food area this is another sad attempt to fix a problem they created when they threw out local food establishments. whoever is putting food decisions together needs help you have fixed nothing. still sad .
Midway is a decent airport but it is small. It has decent access to public transportation but it is not as good as ohare.
Pleasant airport with plenty of food options and a variety small shops. Can easily grab a quick snack before departing.
Gates are easy to navigate. Food court sucks now. All the good restaurant's are gone no family friendly places. Too expensive and not good except for the Greek place and hot dog place.
An ordinary airport, wish they had a better food/restaurant selection. Could use more charging outlets. Not sure how it compares to the other airport in Chicago
I give chacago Midway International Airport 5 stars. Why? because of all the amazing and friendly staff. It's great how you can be in the city and take one train directly to the airport. Always be prepared because public transportation can be a bit interesting.
Not a good time. No fast cheap food options. Bring your own food and drink if you can.
I was surprised how big the airport is. From the outside it doesn't look that big, but once your inside you can get lost. Midway TSA lines are short and focused of getting customers to thier bordering gates as fast as possible. Southwest airlines are probably one of the best airlines that operate from Midway, and probably should remain there. Plenty of room in waiting areas and decent selection of food vendors. If the flights wouldn't be expensive so much at time, I would definitely use midway to fly domestically.
Social distancing at its worst. Bars were jammed and food lines for the only two open places were ridiculous.
Plenty of dining and shopping options. Staff has always been friendly to me. The only issue is the drop-off and pick-up areas... Always a hassle.
Horrible service. Paid $23 to wait over 10 minutes for a quesadilla that was thrown into the container. The woman who made it had a horrible attitude. Would never eat here again.
Seemingly under construction for the last four years, still pretty good. For the most part, they have good signage and several shops to get last minute items.
Nice airport. Obviously smaller than O'hare. But being smaller makes it easier to get from one gate to the next to catch your connecting flight.
How this airport has not figured out that we need some better food choices is beyond me. We often have short layovers with no quick options. How about a Starbucks? How about a Chik Filet? How about some subs? Walking all the way to the food court to then stand in a long line is not feasible. Since we are flying on SW, we don't have food available on the planes. Terrible service.
Nice Airport!!!! Easy to navigate . only let down is food (expensive) .Or Else really clean and decent.
Need more help at Dunkin donuts. 60 people on line 3 people working. Need to open restaurants earlier
A4 is a long walk
Great access to Chicago
Just flew out of Midway last week. We were quite shocked to find Potbelly and McDonald's gone. No where reasonable to grab a sandwich to go. We did purchase a vendor sandwich and a bottle of water at the price of $15. for one of our friends with health issues. The sandwich consisted of 2 slices of dried bread, lettuce and a very thin slice of turkey. Never again. We will eat before we come or pack something to go. How unfair not only to customers but also to employees. How can they buy lunches at that price? Please bring back the other fast food places. Perhaps your management should visit St. Louis airport?
Pros: it s not O Hare. New restaurants offer more eating variety. Nuts on Clark on hand.
Cons: The rideshare lines are a nightmare. It really needs a decor update.
Overall: at least it s not OHare
Southwest ticket counter and curbside check in open at 330a.
Expensive food but lots of choices. Not as busy as OHare but would rather fly through there.
There is almost no options for food here if you have a Celiac Disease
Changed all the restaurants. Could not have done worst on either quality, service, price or choice. Very disappointed but in a way not surprised. No more Potbelly, really?
This airport is much smaller and easier to get around.
Nice airport, but disappointed that in 2017 I only get 30 minutes of WiFi for free, then I have to pay. Never flown through an airport that doesn t provide WiFi. #thumbsdown
Always delay! There is a 5 min walk in a closed tunnel to get to the metro (cta) station from the terminal
