The hotel is nice, has plenty of amenities, and is in a decent location. But one of my biggest hotel pet peeves is when hotels broadcast features and don't follow through. In my bathroom was a nice card about how much water they saved and encouraged me to hang my towels to reuse them. I hug them every day, then still got new towels every day. If you're going to offer something that helps the planet, follow through on it.
Rooms are a bit dated. Honestly expected better. Check-in and staff are great. Way too much smoke in casino (just an issue for me as a nonsmoker) and you have to pass through the casino area to get to everything so no way to avoid the smoke smell in your clothes. The venues and conference centers are great.
I went to Hakkasan. The club scene was overrated. No seating or a ledge to sit unless you're VIP. So I recommend going in huge groups only to pitch in for table service. The dance area is too small. The music was lit though and the lady in the women's restroom was awesome. I could not tip her enough.
Beautiful casino, friendly employee's. Lots of directional signage so you can find your way to the multiple theaters and showrooms. Really enjoyed the David Copperfield show.
Stayed over Thanksgiving and had a phenomenal time. The staff was great. Check in and check out were quick. Staff was helpful with directions and in assistance with booking shows. Easy access to the strip, monorail, and taxis. Would stay here again without question.
This was the last and by far the largest resort I stayed at. The stay well suites are amazing and very clean. The air quality in these rooms are great because of the purification systems they have installed. The only negative issue I had with this place is out of all three hotel and casinos I stayed at this one had a rude and unfriendly employee. I still would recommend this place if you are in Las Vegas to play casino games and party. The pool area was the coolest I saw while I was visiting Vegas however I will mention it is not as family friendly as the Bellagio. They had a great choice of restaurants and shops to choose from.
Pleasant gambling experience with a tad bit of older casino vibe. Not 70's style but more 90s. Still enjoyable but slots didn't pay put this time for me so they lose a star. Other than that, good times
Small room, broken blackout shade, horrible housekeeping, and the worst part NO HOT WATER!!! Worst hotel on the strip!!! Spend your money elsewhere!!!I wasn't going to give it any stars but couldn't post the review without at least one.
Nice hotel-casino. The food court have a lot of choices. Pool side cool place to hang out. Also there is a lazy river. If you get there early they will hold your laggages until you get your room.
I m still here so this could change. I called for a shower cap, she puts me on hold cause she needs to ask housekeeping. Your front desk can t handle this simple request? I called later cause water wasn t going down the shower. No one came... I guess they take calls then ignore it.
Discusting hotel. The heater of the room did not work and when we call the gust service at 6pm they said they would send someone right away. The guy showed up at 1am and was not able to fix it. We were freezing the whole night and they didn't even offer other room. We wanted to complaint and they said they did not have any forms. Very rude. Our room was 217 on december 30th
Management Zachary Earnest has poor customer service. Customer service messed up our reservations a few years back was promised a do over and as usual not Getting anywhere. Talked with management and he could care less. I figured they wanted to bring business in but apparently not. I wasn t asking for anything free... he could of just at least acted like he cared and tried to do something. Plenty of other nicer hotels along the strip!!!!
AC worked great and their Penthouses were great. Still don't understand what Orange is the New Black and or The Walking Dead have to do with gambling, but I enjoyed my stay.
Just checked in this morning. Took about 45 minutes to an hour just to get through the check in line. Multiple staff standing around just talking about anything except for customer service. One lady stood their talking with two others for 20 minutes. Only one without her name tag on so I cant say who she was besides the butcher hair cut she had. Looked like she took a cardboard cut out of a square and used that as a template to cut around where her face is. After that 20 minutes she finally decided to help out the customers in front of us in line with an attitude. I guess her conversation about who's as looks bigger with the other two women was more important.
Side note: Just sat down to eat and Angel who brought us our food was very pleasant and accommodating. I will update throughout our stay.
Went to pick up concert tickets. Parking was easy. Signs directed me to ticket office. Ticket office people were very nice and under standing. Easy getting to my car to go home. Yea!
The rooms were a little outdated. There were not a lot of outlets, the blinds didn't work without a struggle. The carpet seemed old. Everything else was good, the rooms were cleaned well, the bed was comfy, the hotel service was good, the housekeeping was polite and did a good job.
Had a great time here for my birthday and they really made me and my friends feel like a superstars . The nice and friendly staff and unbelievable accommodations seemed totally unparalleled, unlike anything I ve ever had before. This was a very special time and one I hope to forever be etched in my memory. This hotel is ran in an exclusive fashion, truly outstanding.
This is a very active, happening spot on the strip - a lot of energy, good shopping, some nice eateries, and good shows. The venue is very clean, well laid out, and doesn't feel as dark and cramped as some of the other places along the boulevard. I co sider this one of the nicer casinos to hang out at.
We stayed here for 3 nights. We stayed in a Stay Well Room. It has some really nice features such as Vitamin C Shower, room purifier, and great pillows. The best feature is the memory foam bed. It is really nice. The room has a good view and great beds. That is the best part.
If you want to stay here and be in a pretty good hotel and environment this is a good choice, but DO NOT play slots here. The slots here are horrible. Everyone should not put another dime in them due to how they have them so locked down. When you stay in the hotel, you want to go down be able to play; however, I would stay elsewhere. The slots here take your money, never pay out, and frustrate everyone around. I put in over $1000 in the .25, .50, $1, $5 machines. I did newer machines and older machines and they are all the same. I even asked others around me playing. They all had the same experience. No one is winning and people are just frustrated. I would even second guess they are even legal how horrible they are paying out.
Parts of Vegas still doesn t get it. The reason why Indian Casinos have created and maintained a following is because they understand what people want. We aren't that impressed you have million-dollar tile or the tallest sign in the world. We want to come in play some and win some. If I put in $1k then I want to win $300-$400 back at different times. MGM would rather take your money and put in a new Top Golf. If I wanted to do that I would have stayed home. I want to come to Vegas to play and win not leave this hotel with such a bad experience.
I won't ever be back here. I won t play here again. It has proven to me that this place is built on losers and not winners. Come see a show or have a meal, just don't play a dime in this place. I think until people stop playing in greedy, build it better places like this, the hotels won't change. If you wanna win some and lose some... Play at the Indian Casinos. They take of the customers and could care less about having the largest waterfall or huge shark tanks. It's just gaming the way it should be.
Very easy to get lost, keep track of where you are going and ask if you feel lost right away, it's a big place. Very nice hotel and casino. Didn't stay too long at MGM. Was mostly exploring and walking through. Definitely worth a Look.
My kids and I stayed at the MGM Grand on July 4 in the grand tower. We had an amazing time. We had so much fun at the pool with great water temp amazing atmosphere. The music was awesome 80s and 90s jams. The food at the buffet was great. Online and mobile check-in was fast and convenient. The staff was really polite and very helpful when searching for pool.
If you re going with a group of people or even with your significant other only and you re not playing, don t go here. I went to Fremont with my husband last night and even with the distance going on, they still let me hang out next to him. All these high roller places don t. Be prepared to get kicked out/moved out of the area.
We went for a show and it was cancelled due to all thats going on and most of the staff we questioned were rude. We stayed at another facility that had hand cleaning stations in SEVERAL places and I couldn't find ONE in this place
Our room smelled like marijuana and cigarettes both nights. My girlfriend has asthma and the best they could do is bring an air purifier for 30 mins which did absolutely nothing. We re all booked for the weekend. Also, the check in line took 1.5 hours with our room not being ready so they upgraded us to 2 queens instead of a king which was ready, just better location and I had to pay for it. Pizza in the food court was great.
This is a huge Casino. A lot to offer but can be overwhelming. Easy to find Uber location but also very busy. Not uncommon for hotel guests to walk through in skimpy swimsuits only on way to pool.
I tagged along on this trip with husband simply to relax in the room! Our room was very nice. Perfect for two of us. Great shower. I do wish that they had a coffee machine. I have to walk 5 minutes to the coffee shop We are in the the west tower. Relaxing is not an option where we are. Beginning in the early hours, 6:30-7am, is nothing but machinery and banging. The shopping is nice, plenty of places to eat. The lobby is very large, however there is a lot of open space. No seating. I assume that is cause they want to you to find a seat in the casino!
Is beautiful hotel. Witnessed a man won jackpot! Gotta admit we were alittle jealous that we didn't win close as much as he did but we were so thrilled for him!!!
Loved the pool - good water quality - variety- great service! Quality blackjack play and friendly dealers. Loved the view from my room - Ka show was outstanding... so many things to love
Valet lost a very important binder with some receipts and other information that I need. However, no one seems to really care and go look for it they just said it's disappeared? This Will be my last stay ever bin this place. Security vwas not much help at all. Along with my company will not stay here.
I always have fun at the Grand. The scale of the place is incredible. It's enormous. Seems like every time I go there's something new to do. I'm still a little sad that the lion enclosure is no longer there, but it's still a fun place.
Great iconic casino on the south end of the strip. Staff is friendly and helpful and the sports book is a great place to watch the games. Can t wait till the new stadium is built near here. The Grand is iconic so you have to visit this place is if you re in Vegas and if there s a boxing match it s a must! The energy is electric on fight night.
Was here for a conference and it was nice venue. I just wish there was a shorter way to the conference center because felt like a whole 5 miles to get through the front of casino, pass the hotel lobby, through all of the restaurants, shops, and further until you reach the conference center. Fantastic restaurants and the beginning of the Monorail stops. If you are in the hotel lobby use the Underground to get to the Monorail and Ride Share (Lyft or Uber) location because they won't pick you up in front of the lobby only can get a taxi there or shuttle.
Vegas needs new carpet met a billionaire who paid just for my betting advice $$$ on the high stakes Black Jack table. Hi T.J. "2020" Of course I asked for i.d and did google him. Commercial Hotel Builder.
Very fancy hotel! From my room, we had a very good view of the whole city. The best place to view the city is during the nights, and from the rooms, you can take excellent photos. Breakfast service was excellent and you could customize a lot of your meals. This hotel has to be one of my recommended hotels to go to in Las Vegas.
One of my favorite casinos to stay at while in Vegas! The Monorail is located here so the convenience is there and the shows are amazing good!!! Be sure to check out Copperfield while he's still doing magic shows. Checking in and out was a breeze with all the friendly staff and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
I have been a frequent visitor of MGM for years and this is the first time I've left disappointed on multiple facets. The rooms are showing their age. We didn't have running water for 4 hours. The little placards that tell housekeeping to not disturb you go missing daily and you find this out every morning when housekeeping wakes you up. I will never understand why the default is to be disturbed when you are on vacation. I am happy to press the housekeeping button on my phone when my room is in need of service. The bell desk provided good service, but every other aspect of service was sadly lacking. For example I wanted to break a bill for tipping and asked 3 cashiers who were visiting with each other in the gift shop if they could help me out. I was told to go use a machine, which also meant waiting in line. I had late checkout, but my room key was deactivated before my late checkout was up so I had to wait in line for 20 minutes to get my card activated. The pool complex is impressive, but you are constantly reminded that this is a family resort as all of the pools and the lazy river are over run with children, so set your pool expectations accordingly.
Interesting set up pay attention to where you are and how to get back to the strip! Very easy to get lost in this place as I'm sure that was part of their goal to keep you in their facilities
It was an okay experience. At first our room wasn't clean and the AC didn't work so it was burning up for the first half of the day. After several hours they finally upgraded our room. Other than that it was a nice hotel.
See photo for the view from my room. Looks like a dark alley from a horror movie. That's somewhat understandable, however, since this was a cheaper room in an old part of the hotel.
The real reason for only three stars? ... The toilet paper! Do you like smearing poop around in your crack until it's raw? Then stay here! If you respect your wrinkle gate, however, then stay at the Aria; I can confirm that they treat you like a human and give you the decent stuff.
Top Golf is a great place to go with friends or family. There are a number of games to play, great food and drinks and luxury bays to hit some balls. It can get a little competitive - but fun! Staff and servers are helpful and knowledgeable. Thankfully they have lefty and kids clubs.
In my first visit to Las Vegas I stayed in MGM GRAND . Probably the cheaper of the lot but everyone goes after booking deals from " booking.com " or " hotels.com ". I took a double queen bed room . Room was good , beds were comfortable but not that clean . Bathroom was royal . The best part of the room was the view overlooking Vegas airport .
Average cost per night should be around 130 dollars including the resort fee . The resort fee which is around 50 dollars is to be paid extra once you are checking in. There is also an extra 15 dollar parking fee for every resident . Gambling area for other hotels are much better . Not sure of food from here . Recommended only when you get a proper deal in some travel website .
Came to Vegas for my birthday and this hotel was highly recommended. Housekeeper walked into room unannounced. Front desk didn t care from the response that I received. They advised that she must have forgotten something. Room shouldn t have been vacant ready if something was forgotten. Room ran down. Dark, grey, long hallway for west wing. Definitely like something out of horror movie.
Beds are not comfortable, bathroom are old has only one sink, the toilet has no pravicy and you can't locked either. The housekeeping leave bags of trash on all the hallway and it doesn't look good/ nice. This was my first stay at MGM Grand and I am not satisfied . There are more to comment but I think you will leave it like that.
6 months prior i stayed at the trump hotel in vegas. it was a comparable experience with the added bonus (for me) of having a casino on the ground floor and a more central location. rooms were clean and nice jacuzzi tubs. beyond that what i would call standard hotel experience. nothing noteworthy to mind aside from "IT'S VEGAS" but also nothing negative to say about this stay.
Stayed there for few nights.. it seriously needs and upgrade, quite old in terms of rooms and amenities, has lots of good restaurants and venues though so added bonus on that
I am going to start with Kudos for the housekeeping staff. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of my room. The bed was very comfortable, the room temperature was easily adjusted and the AC unit was not overly loud. The water in the shower got hot fast and the water pressure was good. There's not a lot of variety for TV channels, but who goes to Vegas to watch TV? The view from my room on the 9th floor wasn't wonderful, but I declined the upgrade that included a view of the Strip, so I got what I paid for. Check in/out was fast. The elevators worked well with only minimal wait times. I subtracted 1 star due to some of the embedded fees. For example, if you put a personal item in the mini-bar fridge, there will be a $50 fee (per a card posted inside the fridge). If you have personal items that you want to keep cold, you can request an additional fridge for $35 per day. Overall, I enjoyed the accommodations and would recommend the MGM Grand as a good place to stay while in Vegas.
Service was more than disappointing. If I found a cocktail waitress, she d take my order and never come back. Never once in 2 days got a drink at a slot, the only time I was able to get a drink was going to the bar myself. The dinner buffet was disgusting! All the food was lukewarm at best. Won t waste my money staying, or playing there on future trips...
Loved it! Right off the strip. Hooked us up with our Grand Canyon Canyon trip and an awesome show. Gotta watch out for the last day bill, though. The room cost wasnt what was quoted on the phone.
Love this place, one of my favorite places in Vegas. Rooms are always clean, comfortable and quiet. Enough stuff under ice roof you might not ever leave. The pool complex is exceptional
Plenty of options to eat, drink and gamble. Love Whiskey Down and just about every restaurant in the hotel. Pool and lazy river are great places to drinks done people watch. Hakassan and Wet Republic host the best DJs in Vegas. Great place to stay, eat and party!
