In houston the JWs are fantastic but if your budget doesn t allow either of them. You can t go wrong here!

I attended the Houston Marriott west loop by the galleria because I was attending a professional event and I was absolutely amazed by the quality of the place! We were served dinner and the quality of service was great and the food was excellent. The location was great too, next to the galleria for all your shopping purposes. I would definitely come again.

Fantastic, friendly, and attentive staff. While there are several things that you might get free at other hotels, the cost of the hotel per night easily makes up for these things.

Staff were nice and the room was adequate. It was quiet so I was able to get a good night's sleep.

You have to purchase WiFi while staying there... It's already expensive, then having to pay for that... Oh and a long island is almost $20 A pop...

This was the worse experience I and my company have ever had at a Marriott property period. For example, the conference rooms were not set in time for our meeting to start. The gentlemen who was setting up the room on Friday was by himself and we were starting our event however he was in and out trying to get everything set. We finally asked him to please leave because of the noise and being a distraction. Things that we talked about to our event person for the conference was not even set up at all during the conference. In fact when I personally raised that point she just simply said, oh sorry and kept doing what she was doing. The conference room was actually very cold. In fact a lot of our guest was just bring blankets from their rooms to stay warm. We asked several times to please make the room warmer but nothing changed the entire event. This was to most complaints we have ever had as a 14 year old company about the quality of the hotel and guest rooms. The front desk held $1,000 on cards from different guest. When that was brought to the front desk attention they realized it was several mistakes however our guest was stuck with out $1,000 on their card for several days. We had a very very special guests who flew into town from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and London. Their room actually smelled like mildew and they had to keep the door open during their stay. This hotel was more worried about getting their payment when I arrived on Thursday then actually getting the event right and the guest rooms right. This was the worse Marriott experience in 14 years we have done event. I WOULD NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL AND PROBABLY NEVER A MARRIOTT EVER AND WILL SHARE MY EXPERIENCE WITH ALL OF MY PEERS AROUND THE WORLD. THIS WAS AWFUL AND NOT THE MARRIOTT EXPERIENCE I HAVE BECAME ACCUSTOM TO OVER THE YEARS. WE DO 3 TO 4 EVENT A YEAR. THIS HAS EXPERIENCE HAS MOVED US TO A DIFFERENT CHAIN. Our company would like a FULL REFUND. At best this was Awful if not ABYSMAL AND APPALLING

Nice location close to everything in the Galleria area.

Outdated rooms need redecorating and they need more amenities and some free amenities!

Loved staying here, was glad that I didn't keep the truck there at all. Because it would have been expensive. But the parking lot is very small to begin with.

Do not Book this hotel if you think the cost of WIFI and parking should be included. Parking is an additional $25.00 a night. WIFi is an additional $15.00 per day.

Sounded like construction work in the next room both mornings of my stay. Could hear room service attendants in and out of all the rooms. The walk from the garage to the main lobby was kinda a pain. Ordered on priceline for a 4 star hotel, and this is far from it. The shower curtain was stained, the caulking on the tub needed replaced. The windows were super dirty. The toilet was so loud and ran forever it seemed like before it was filled.

The place is a nice hotel, don't expect too much luxury is not a 5 stars, but it does has nice staff, and it makes you feel welcoming. The break fast is the same twice in a row, so let's see if they change options. M

I use this location for monthly meetings for my company and they are fantastic. The conference room is always set up in a timely manner and very clean. The service is excellent. This is why I will continue to use them unless I have a reason not to.

Very good service and attention. The problem is the mattresses on the beds! Too soft! It seems that you are in a water bed !.
Not recommended for those of us who take care of our back.

I had a friend leave my black rain coat at the front desk. I came to pick it up, and they lost it. Said they never had record of anyone leaving it. If you go to this hotel make sure you don't leave anything you'll never get it back!

Supposed to be newly remodeled but could use an update. Using the business center come with a cost, It's in a weird place but has plenty of restaurants around it.

Arrived and was met by a friendly valet. All the staff seems to be really helpful and caring. I did not stay, I was only at the location for a professional event.

Helpful staff, nice facilities, both for overnight stay and business meeting.

Was there for a conference. Microphones were not the best quality. Very muffled sound. Also they can do without the Starbucks since the menu is extremely limited and the machine wasn't quite working right and I don't believe they had any extra chai to give me the 7 pumps of chai I asked for.

I visited the Marriott West Loop today. The location is great and so is the staff. Especially Alice and Mimi, they pay great attention to detail and are super friendly and make every one of my visits truly special.

I went to the hotel for a reception of a school program. This reception had some drinks and buffet style meals. They always added more meals to keep the buffet. The meals were more or less hot. I drank a red wine of sufficient quality for the event (not the maximum quality, but enough). In total, all of good quality and I would return for another event if you invite me again.

Conference room was very cold but clean and beautiful.

Nice hotel. But what made it 5 stars instead of 4 was Amber in the lounge. Very friendly and welcoming.

The location is prime, 15-20 mins from everything. Rooms are nice up to date, and get really cold which is a plus. You have to pay for parking but that's pretty common anywhere you stay in Houston.

Recommended hotel, shopping areas are very close as Target, Dicks and the largest mall in Houston.

My husband recently retired from the Canadian military and will be returning to school in Houston. Over the past year, he has worked two jobs and studied very hard for his entrance exam into a very competitive program.
This past weekend we celebrated this new chapter in our lives and stayed at your West Loop by the Galleria location on our house hunting trip.
Before going out to dinner we enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine and appetizers in the hotel lobby where we met Ellery a Loss Prevention Officer at the location.
Ellery gave us suggestions of things to do in the area; he was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming.
His hospitality did not stop there, he brought up a bottle of wine and chocolate dipped strawberries to our room after we returned from dinner.
Southern hospitality is world renowned and everyone likes gifts, but this act of kindness went well beyond that. Ellery is not only an incredible ambassador for your company but also for your community. Moving to a new country is intimidating and it gave me comfort knowing how friendly the people are here.
Over the next six years I am sure we will have friends and family visiting us and I will recommend to all of them to stay at the Marriott West Loop. The rooms were very nice, reasonably priced but it is their staff that sets them apart from the competition.

By far my favorite place to stay in Houston, great location downtown, plenty to walk to. There food is good but a bit on the pricey side, staff is amazing, good bar scene during the week when it is mostly a business crowd, good conversations. Gym could be better for this size of a hotel.

This was a great place to stay. The service here was very accommodating. The rooms were clean and the shower was good. Their training room and pool was inside which is nice when the weather isn't the best.

Restaurant service was excellent. We were asked multiple times how our dinner was and if there was anything else needed.

Attended a women's conference and the breakfast was good. The staff picked up our plates as soon as you took your last bite. They kept the drinks filled and were very courteous.

Nice location. It's a Marriott (Poorer Cousin to the JW Marriott on Westheimer but Ok). Nice ambience and nice crowd. Business hotel not much of a social life.

Nice but beware you have to pay 26.00 a night for parking and wifi is 14.95. Little old but nice and nice location.

Great amenities with an excellent and courteous staff

For how expensive this hotel is, the rooms should be way more updated. Our room was dirty, small, and the bathroom was a joke. I felt like I was staying in a motel. Not to mention, the front staff was incredibly rude. We will never stay here again. What a waste of money.

We go to the bar for drinks. The bartender is the best. Great liquor selection. Plenty of seating and tables. Food is delicious. We gorged ourselves on the brisket mac and cheese.

Nice hotel that was renovated recently. Bathroom toilets are rather loud and noise from outside can be bothersome when trying to sleep. Executive lounge staff is very nice and helpful.

Thanks again and I look like I'm punished by far my favorite part is the ultimate dad and mom is gonna leave here in the next couple days to get it to work and then I can walk somewhere in a while but you have no tank is full and the reason why would they have to do is stay home with him and I don't want it in my life.

Good customer service. Mediocre room. No shower curtain, used mouthwash, and dirty floor in room. Sketchy hallway stairs to exit straight outside.
