If you enjoy sleeping on a lumpy bed next to a roaring highway, this is the hotel for you! You'll get to enjoy the sounds of various cars, trucks, motorcycles, and heavy machinery at all hours of the night. When you're not sleeping, you can relax in tiny room complete with outdated decor, no view and a crammed bathroom. This place is priced way above the amenities... Pay a tiny bit more to stay at the JW or save money and stay at the Courtyard. Both are nicer.

Attended a social event and the PA system didn't work right, the food was mediocre, the margarita machine was broken, and they ran out of beer. The vendor booths had so little room you could hardly move around the steps and have someone looking at vendor merchandise. To end the evening we got lost in the garage with everyone else trying to exit. A garage attended should have been placed at the exit to swiftly handle the traffic cluster. Backing up from an exit arm with 10 cars packed in right behind you is a nightmare.

Decent hotel. Amenities and services was stellar, but $20 a night just for self parking seemed ridiculous. We usually stay with either the Westin or Omni, and will likely return to those hotels in the future.

OK hotel in the Galleria area of Houston, but the entry was a little hard to get to. The hotel itself was very nice and new in the lobby, but when you got to the rooms they were definitely small and dated. I've been into the Galleria lots of times, and the hotels can be a little old, so I was super surprised, but the rooms were starkly different from the lobby.

Will not recommend this hotel at all. When arrive stated that they was book, had us setting in the lobby for about an hour and then when we ask about a room again after 30 min they stated we have one. Don t serve food or alcohol. Toilet nasty . Lobby is nice but rooms are old fashion rooms.

There some very good things about this hotel and some very bad things. Upon arrival, the horseshoe driveway is only long enough for four or five cars so if you are self parking and alone, you will be holding up the cars until you get checked in and good luck finding a luggage dolly. I had four pieces of luggage. I had to carry two up to my room, again holding up traffic, then I was going to just drive around into the parking garage and unload the rest at the rear entrance but was met with a "No loading or unloading" sign. The self parking is overpriced at $28. The average price for self parking in downtown is $20. There is plenty of parking in the garage and it is connected to the hotel although it is a long walk down a long hallway then across the entire hotel lobby. I had heard about the views of brick walls so I asked for the highest room available. They gave me one on the 9th and I thought that was high enough. Wrong!! I got the brick wall too! Absolutely no view! I think you would have to ask them for an inside room, (an even number) to get any kind of view. Those rooms would face the atrium and lobby. Then the problem hooking up to the internet. I am a member of the Marriott family and I did book through a third party so you have to do the song and dance to get the $12 internet charges off of your bill. Now the good. The room was very nice, clean, and quiet. The beds were very comfortable. The TV was large, fast, easy to use and had plenty of hotel information on it. The lobby is by far, the best thing about the hotel. The a/c really cooled down the room. The lower speed internet was adequate. There is a cozy spot for every person in any mood. An open area bar with sports, a cozy area with news on the TV, quiet nooks with comfy chairs and sofas. Nice artwork throughout. The exercise room was fantastic as well as a beautiful pool on the second floor. Every public area is covered by a glass ceiling that is beautiful during a sunny day. Everything considered, it's a draw. If I got another room with the "wall" view, I'd be disappointed. Any other room and I think I could live with the other inconveniences.

Clearly an older hotel. The lobby is fantastic. The rooms are average. Just doesn't seem like a true Marriott. The bathroom door is like 5 inches away from the toilet, which stinks if you are a larger person. Another thing, let's step up the breakfast game. The concierge food is the same as the lobby food. The eggs. Well, they are edible, just not flavorful and definitely not worth the $21 they charge guests. The saving grace is that this property is walking distance to my office. So yes, I will stay there again. Not a terrible Marriott. Just not to Marriott standard.

Lobby is very nice. Room was kind of small, but comfortable beds. But charging $24-32 for parking, and $10.95-$16.95 for internet?!?!? That's outrageous. I was told each room had a fridge... you can't even fit a half gallon of milk in this so called "fridge".

I really enjoyed this place. One of the nicer hotels I've been to even only being a 3 star hotel. The room was big. Loved having the king bed and the soft pillows were awesome. I noticed they also leave you a couple of little bottles of water so that was a nice touch. TV was great despite me not being much of a TV watcher. The thing that put me off a little but I understand it's a business. The cost of the wifi and or the Ethernet line is silly, especially the "business" center. If little cost here and there for some of the amenities doesn't bother you, this is a great hotel to stay at being just down the street from tons of stores and restaurants. Great place, just know you'll spend some money

This hotels staff was amazing from the phone call we made before we left to Mr. Keit who checked us in. Mr. Keit was the first face we saw and definitely made us feel welcomed. I also ran into Mrs. Rachel Earl one morning and she made sure I was greeted with a Good Morning and a smile. This same morning I ran into Mrs. Coquisee in the elevator and it was like I knew her for the last 10 years..this is what your stay should feel like. We travel a lot and we have seen a lot of hotels but this one definitely at the top of the list. The customer service and friendliness was so above and beyond I didn t even realize the hotel was going through some renovations. Great job and continue the great work. We will definitely be back.

Stayed here at least 15 times this year, might be just an adequate hotel but staff always made fill welcome. Something changed in last two month. Staff are jumpy, like scared to be nice. No longer have coffee until 6. Management makes you feel like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to stay. I travel extensively and in Houston once a week. Too many other hotels in area to be disrespected.

The hotel staff is amazing, and the hotel itself is comfortable and clean. The only issue is the decor being a bit dated. It appears that may only be a temporary issue as they've began renovating the lobby.

COVID/Coronavirus is not being taken seriously at this hotel. Wasn t a nice experience here. The hotel is very old. Room was not cleaned properly. There was food on the room s floor (beef bone!) and a plate behind the sofa. The carpet was dirty. Drawers were not wiped. My toddler, as a kid, was all over this dirty place. Here are some pictures. Disgusting!
The front desk offered a chocolate bar or a chips from their market to make up for this miss. Then they told me to contact the third party company (like Booking, Hotwire...etc) through which I made my reservation to complain. Seriously! They did not even take my concerns serious.

This hasn't been the best experience. The water pressure in the shower was low, our sink was leaking around the fixtures, the room feels small and $20 dollars for daily self parking.... I will not ever stay here considering the other options in the area.

While I wasn't there for an extended stay, the West Loop Marriott certainly left a positive impression. Their on-site parking garage was very convenient, the hotel grounds were very well kept and visually pleasing, and the building/conference room was impeccably tidy. My single, very small complaint is that the conference room was absolutely frigid.

Excellent place to stay. Staff superbly maintains Marriott's high standards of excellence. From the moment I arrived to when I checkes out to leave, I was treated with courtesy and respect by every member of the staff I met. The valet was quick and attentive, even though I wasn't using valet. The front desk staff was professional and greeted me every time I walked by. Even housekeeping greeted me and thanked me for staying when I left. The room I stayed I was quiet and comfortable. I was even able to sign in to my own Netflix account on the TV and easily sign out before I left. I will absolutely stay here in the future.
