It is a nice hotel. I heard from the locals though that you'll want to stay in the addition, which is where I stayed. It's newer and very clean. The staff is nice and courteous. You do have to walk through a bridgeway to go between buildings, but it isn't bad. The restaurant is in the main building. The place overlooks a cool plaza. There are public bikes and scooters all around. There are plenty of restaurants.

The only thing wrong with my stay at this hotel was that there were no black out curtains in my room. That's one of my favorite things about staying in hotels, waking up and not knowing what time it is because I can't see the light from outside! Other than that, I enjoyed my stay. I enjoyed the food and the drinks.

The hotel was fantastic. Staff was hospitable and helpful, bed was comfortable, breakfast in the hotel restaurant was delicious, and the pool and fitness center was the best I've ever seen. The room was a bit dated, but that didn't take away from a great experience, not to mention the amazing location for all the downtown fun.

The hotel overbooked rooms by at least 20. All of us without rooms were taken to a Sheraton hotel 15 minutes away, which was very inconvenient. I am also a Gold Elite member which made it even more frustrating.

The hotel was nice for marriott standards, but they are nickle and diming theee guests. I called down to the front desk for a spoon and bowl so my kid could have a bowl of cereal and they advised me the charge a dollar per item and 5.00 to bring it to me.we always stay at Marriott's and I feel there guest care is going to shit at this one

Room not made up and then major attitude from front desk staff after bringing it to their attention. I was told to call back later if I wanted to discuss it with a manager... Customer 0 service..

This place is always clean, and staffed by friendly and informative personal. The rooms are very clean, and came with everything (tv, fridge, coffee maker) the wife and I needed for the weekend. Love staying at this place.

Stayed there with A friend A few weeks ago, and it was a slow night from what I saw. Went up to the front desk to ask a question, and the assistant manager Katie, and I guess the other girl was named Kat were just talking away about other employees, and gave me a look like if I was bothering them. Then asked me what I wanted.
That's not how you speak to guests at all!
We are paying you for a service, and the whole talking about other employees was just unacceptable, and quite frankly unprofessional.
I will never ever stay there again, and will be writing to the general manager when I have more time!

The rooms are nicely sized, and there is a mini fridge in each room. Even numbered rooms overlook the plaza and convention center, which is nice. The staff are very friendly and attentive. A great place to stay!

Room I had was well kept and clean, and staff was friendly and hooked me up with shaving cream that I ran out of, but I was in the 2nd building which was a walk from the enterence and they don't validate parking.

Hotel was great. Lots of large comfy lounge spaces. Room was clean with nice beds and pillows. Staff was friendly. Finding parking was difficult Friday evening, and I cannot believe they charge for self park. Was attending a dance competition, otherwise wouldn't stay here. We have stayed at several hotels in the KC metro area that are just as nice for half as much. Not a fan of their incidental charge hold either.

So I am very displeased with this hotel as I write this I am in my room and there is construction going on right above me. When we checked in we were not made aware that construction would be going on from 8AM to 4PM. I work in the room *all day*, so I am having to put up with all this noise. I get that the rooms need to be updated, they REALLY do. (my room looks like it was decorated in the 70s, its very clean but only has 4 usable outlets, 3 if you want to turn off the hall light, I had to buy an extension cord to plug in my CPAP machine so I could sleep because the outlets weren't close enough to the bed.)

Anyway we didn't find out until we'd already been in the room for a night that there was going to be this constant banging and whatnot overhead, we complained and they offered to switch us rooms but at this point I have all my gear from work set up so I don't want to move it. However good customer service would have been advising the guest that there is construction going on and asking them if they are planning on being in the room during the day and if so, placing them in a different room. I'm here for 4 days putting up with this noise.

I will never stay at a Mariott if it is my choice again, only way I'm staying with this chain is if it's a conference or a work booking. This was sub-par service. Bad planning. Oh, and charging $8 for 32oz of bad coffee? Laughable.

This is a nice enough hotel. The rooms are a bit dated, especially on the lower floors. There are almost no power outlets near the bed for a phone to charge, they are all at the desk. The bed is very comfortable. The lounge was really large and had decent food. The fresh fruit here was particularly good. The hotel staff were friendly.

The beds were so comfy. Great service from checkin to checkout. They are in great location if you're hanging out at P&L or going to Sprint Center. There is plenty of things to do around the Marriott.
