The basin was a awesome pace to visit on my list you have to hike here it s about 2 hours the hike and the parking lot is 10 min from town but it is worth it to visit!

Margot basin is my favorite place to snowboard, it has it's difficult parts, or at least for me they can be, I'm not saying if you are a thrill seeker extraordinaire that you'll fall in love with this mountain but if you enjoy hitting the slopes and having a good time, this is the place I'd recommend 10/10
Escape cards are so worth it! I love this mountain. So much terrain, and friendly crowds!
Amazing of course. Beautiful. Lots of ski hills and places to hike. Ski lift was expensive, $107 a day. But besides that we had an amazing time.
Great hills and amazing views, the chairlifts also move very fast :)
Great place to ski. Varied and interesting runs. Friendly staff running the place.
Great ski hill with amazing view. Snow isnt the best but marmots terrain makes up for that. You can go from the steep, double black diamonds on eagle ridge, the nice, fluffy powder near the knob chair, or the beginner section at the bottom. Oh yeah, if you head up the road to the ski hill, make sure to have nice winter tires, a decent engine.
Great mountain. Learned to ski here with my family a long time ago. Always come back at some point.
Loved the place, great skiing/boarding. *so seke m8's*
Amazing trees, great variety of slopes. Perfect intermediate hill
The new Tres Hombres is awesome. The hill has a great mix of beginner, intermediate, and expert runs.
Had a great couple trips this year, phenomenal spring ski season. Helpful friendly staff esspecially in group bookings, thanks!
I am giving the Marmot resort five stars even though the power went out today(Jan4) and the day was ruined. The powder was amazing. The services were amazing( when they worked) and the people were amazing. They gave a full refund, took responsibility for things they were NOT in control over. No guarantee in life for anything, But Marmot did their best. I will be back skiing with my family and hopefully they have better luck with their power provider. Man... The powder was nuts. Why does the universe hate me?
Nice mix of runs. Parking is very convenient located up on the side of the hill. This allows you to ski in and ski out from the parking lot. Is also convenient if you want to bring your own lunch. Lift lines move quickly though you need to keep moving as there is not really a set line but people just funnel in.
Runs are well maintained and this is one of my favourite ski hills to date. However, for what is being charged for a hotdog, fries and a pop at the concession areas, the checkout staff could do with a little customer relations training!!
This is my backyard so I'm biased. All types of terrain for all abilities. Rare to have long lift lines
Hands down one of my favorite resorts in the Canadian Rockies.
I go here every year and it's always fantastic! It's a comfortable level for everyone and the view is good!
Weather was beautiful, and the people were very nice. I had a very good snowboard instructor that was patient and took the time to teach well.
Top ski area in the middle of the forest. Wide slopes that can be easily changed in the difficulty grades, since they often cross. Great lift system, there are only chair lifts. You can drive almost to the slopes by car, no music, no drunks, just skiing.
I'm here skibiking and I must say the terrain is great for skibikes. Varied options and quick runs. Friendly staff. I'll be coming here again and again.
What a great christmas trip. Even with covid restrictions everything was easy and we had no issues. Pre purchase your tickets the lines in the am were long.
Awesome skiing. So close to Jasper. Wonderful people and a beautiful facility. We went with a group of 15, all abilities. The lessons and instructors were fantastic. They even offered to stay with the students longer if needed.
We unfortunately had one crash that we needed the ski patrol to help with. Spencer and his team were fantastic with the injury.
Even with the twisted knee, there were some great memories made. We will be back
Not a huge resort and they usually don't have fantastic amounts of snow (ice and rocks poking out are not uncommon) but it tends to be a quieter place with less people on the hill and in the lift lines. Nevertheless it's always a fun place to ride with a fresh dump of snow.
The lifts are very quick, the mountain is a great size for beginners and for experienced skiers. All of the runs were well groomed and maintained, the staff was cheerful and the road going up was plowed and sanded. The parking sucks unless you get there early, but honestly people parked like complete idiots so what can you do. The mid-mountain chalet had some good deals on beer but the food was expensive and was not great quality. $20~ for nacho chips with convenience store cheese drizzle and it came out on the cooler side of warm. The service was excellent though!
Fantastic resort with a wide variety of runs and some fantastic advanced areas. Also has THE most beautiful sunrises!
Since 1999, I've been fortunate to have lived in Jasper, North Vancouver, and New Zealand, and I've been able to travel the US and Europe. Being in these places gave me the opportunity to ride dozens of resort around the world. There are lots of great places to ski and snowboard. I've had deep, powdery days in all of them (especially during the NZ winter of 04 -- wow); but for me it always seems to come back to Marmot Basin. I love the terrain, I love the speed of the place, I love the people, and I love that it's just far enough away from any major city that it never sees the traffic that typically ruins places like Lake Louise and Sunshine Village.
Marmot Basin is one of Canada's best kept secrets. Don't tell your friends.
This place is a great mountain. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to get a large volume of power- averaging around 200cm/ year. It can get a little icy after its all skied out.
There are great views from the top of the mountain and the runs are amazing. If you live on Edmonton it is great to go for a day trip or stay the night. There are many blacks and greens so they have runs for everybody.
An integral part of what makes Jasper a world class ski town.
Awesome mountain, fantastic view. Rocky early season in areas
Great place, no gondola only chairlift so keep in mind if you struggle with dismount. Green runs are gentle and great for beginners learning to snowboard. I had forgotten my Costco ticket back in Edmonton thinking Costco had only sold me one ticket instead of two for my partner and I. The admin on staff was very accommodating and sold me another ticket at cost pricing only. Really appreciated it!
I say this to those who ask me why I go to this place so often: I don't personally believe in an afterlife but if there a heaven, this is it.
Came here 10 times for the 2018/2019 season and not once did I regret my stay
There's some absolutely stunning views to enjoy while snowboarding/skying/relaxing in the lounge.
Pro tip: Try the Bison burger with added Bacon and mushrooms, and a beer of your choosing, simply amazing.
Parking part way up the hill is the best. Never waited in any tow lines. Friendly staff. Excellent hill to learn on.
Marmot is so much fun to snowboard. Way better than Lake Louise or Sunshine in my opinion.
My first time skiing in the mountains. Beautiful views and no lineups at the lifts.
Three parking lots offer ski out and ski back to the car trails. The rental process was quick and efficient and the quality of the equipment was great. The instructor for my lesson patiently helped me gain confidence in my ability and offered insight on what to work on to improve my skill level
I have always loved this Hill and I will always come back.
Awesome spot with steep runs and great atmosphere. Stay in Jasper.
Marmot Basin has something for all skiers and boarders. The lifts are fast and the staff are always helpful! They have delicious food and it's always fun to grab a beer at the mid-mountain chalet. The lessons are high quality because the instructors are very knowledgeable. Overall, I am always impressed by Marmot and recommend travelling here for a great ski experience!
Very nice place with friendly staff my kids had a lot of fun skiing there
Awesome hill with plenty of great view! If it is a clear day you are able to see the town of Jasper as well as the many mountains that surround it. Not too busy which made our experience a great one.
They have a birthday promotion. Free for birthday person without any question.
Not that crowd and lots of runs. Lovely ski resort...
A great skiing experience in the Rockies. No lift lines, good snow and enough terrain to keep you busy for the day.
Great hill to take your family. Never any line ups and lots of great runs for all skill sets.
One of my favorite ski resorts. While not as big as Louise or Revelstoke, it has excellent quality snow and some great terrain. The new run Tres Hombres is very good. It's never too busy and it's nice and close to home.
Best experience ever. The whole family did lessons and my youngest just wasn't getting it. They made accommodations and got him in with Sophie for some extra lessons. She was beyond amazing with him and he was so confident after his lesson with her. Lunch was fantastic and the hill was so much fun. Great people and come on skiing in Jasper is freaking beautiful.
Fabulous skiing. Great and helpful staff on the mountain and lessons were wonderful. Thanks matt from ninja academy snowboarding!!!!
Really great place for those that loves skiing or snowboarding. Definitely have a lot of runs that cater to all levels of skiiers and snowboarders.
Me and my family had to extend our stay by 1 day because parking lot was full by 8am. They dont take reservations for parking or do they limit the tickets sold so the day we planned to go was a no go. We went the following day and had a blast.
The snow was very fresh and the runs were very fun! I highly recommend taking a trip to Marmot.
It s a small resort, but you find everything you need for a great day in the snow. The snowschool is up to date and you get great lesson with awesome instructor. I loved to ski with Paul and Jess!
My favorite hill in the world. They have my heart. So many great family trips, a truly authentic Alberta experience.
Awesome powder with great variety and no lines at the lifts!
The ski instruction was AWESOME. Smaller groups allowed for more personalized instruction and that made all the difference in the world to my enjoyment of the experience and all of what is to come now that i know how to handle myself on the runs.
Just keep having great ski adventures at Marmot with our family and friends! Our 3rd visit this year and again the conditions and weather were perfect! Jasper in January had some great festivities in town that evening as well!
I went on a very cold day so the lifts were a little chilly. Nice that the chalet has open cubbies for storage and reasonable food. Not study or ostentatious.
One of the employees Shawn stopped to help a young girl in our party and gave an impromptu lesson. Very kind and helpful. Thanks Shawn!! You re the best.
It was a great Mountain to ski, a great place to get your Mountain Fix with great terrain and friendly staff.
My favorite skin resort. Parking on the hill, mid mountain dining, rarely crowded.
I've been coming to this mountain since I was a little kid. As a snowboarder, I think it's the best place to ride in Alberta.
Good skiing for the short distance I have to travel, although prices have gone up.
My dad starting taking us here when we were young and throughout the years I have come back many times. It is a great place to learn how to ski/snowboard. Even when it's really busy it doesn't take long to get on a lift. Lots of easy runs and challenging terrain as well. Staff are friendly. All around great place here!
