I highly recommend the Better Back Store. I work at a desk all day and was starting to get back pain. Hoping a new chair would help, I went to the Better Back Store and they helped me pick a chair that worked for me. They also gave me a lot of extremely helpful tips and pointers on how to adjust the chair to achieve better posture. My back pain is now gone!

Spend the time you need to make the right decision, and compare them to what you see online and in Boulder. I took a week for this important decision and my life is changed - I've spent the last 15 years in the wrong chairs, and will never go back to those awful chairs! I have had lower back pain for years I have tried all kinds of medical treatments, avoiding surgery and nothing but yoga seemed to help. Recently my husband began having the same if not worse pain due to Disc Degeneration in his lower back . Unable to sit and lie down without pain and weeks of little to no sleep we went to the Better Back store to find a cushion that may help when sitting and driving. While there he sat in a Zero Gravity chair leaned it all the way back and fell in LOVE. The pain was gone!!!! We took that chair home that day and ordered a second for me. Yes they are expensive, but way less than the money I have spent on me trying to find relief it is well worth it. He is not pain free except when in this chair. He has had to sleep in this chair and get a full night sleep, absolutely amazing results for him. The staff at the better Back Store was wonderful, knowledgeable and very helpful. If you have Back Pain go by and see what they can do to help your situation. They even allow you to check out merchandise for a few days before buying it.

I found the staff to be extremely knowledgeable, and helpful while i searched for the perfect office chair. They have super adjustable LifeForm chairs worth checking out over Herman Miller & SteelCase much more adjustable.
I once met the CEO of Whole Foods. He explained to me that most people shop there for the experience. I do just that at the Better Back Store. We went in yesterday just to see if they have anything new and walked out with about 2-3 new things. Cynthia is amazing and we are so happy that this place exists. It's always a wonderful experience!

Went to old location at 30th and Walnut, and they were not there. So glad to find out they moved a while ago to 30th and Arapahoe, about 2 blocks south of where they used to be. Found them in the same parking lot as the King Soopers store. Just got a new car and the seats hurt my back. Found the perfect lumbar cushion and seat cushion, they have a bunch to choose from, so a little confusing, but they let me take some out to my car to see what would work for me. Just amazed at what a difference it has made for me. Love this place.
Great knowledge helping me find my first ergonomic desk chair and instruction in adjusting it for the desk I have. Willing to exchange the piston in my purchased LifeForm desk chair so I could adjust chair further downward. Wonderful customer service!

Quality ergonomic chairs can be expensive but the Lifeforms chair I purchased from Better Back Store is significantly more comfortable than other chairs in the same price range. This chair has many adjustable features and can be ordered with a headrest. Store owner Cynthia also recommended a fabric that works well with my young cats. Their service is amazing: when I needed a taller piston after purchasing a new desk there was no charge for the part swap and labor.

With notable compassion, Cynthia fixed me up with sleep aids that worked instantly. I came back for a very cool and therapeutic recliner. We bought our chairs a couple years ago when I was having terrible pain in my neck and shoulder area. We are tax preparers and I was dreading having to sit in my current chair for hours on end in the months of our busy season coming up. I was desperate for a solution.
We worked with a male associate there who was super knowledgeable in ergonomics (which I knew nothing about). He really helped me! Especially the part about when your head is forward you are adding pounds of pressure to your neck! He helped me pick a chair and taught me how to sit ergonomically. He really took time with me and I appreciated that. We didn't buy that day because it was such a commitment financially. But in the end we decided to get two chairs, one for me and one for my husband. It was the best decision and money we ever spent on a chair. We have used them for two tax seasons (going on our third) and don't have the fatigue we use to have. I also taped the ergonomic position card on my computer screen to remind me of how to sit better.
I also want to point out their warranty program, it is awesome! Last year my piston wasn't working correctly. They told me to bring in the chair and they would fix it while I waited. I didn't have to produce proof of purchase or anything they just took care of me because they remembered me! Yesterday I brought in my arms because the fabric was cracking. I thought it was leather but actually it was vinyl. The owner replaced them while I waited with beautiful leather arm covers and they did it while I waited! I love their product AND their customer service!
I have now purchased 2 lifeform chairs and foot-rests from the Better Back Store. I couldn't be happier with the product and the service! The chairs are well worth the money, and have helped my back and arm problems significantly. The staff is always knowledgeable courteous and respectful. I was blown away by the full customer service treatment and the patience Steve had with me at Better Back in Boulder. We spent an hour trying out different chairs, making adjustments and pricing out options. At the end there was no hard sales approach - just good customer service that, in my opinion, sells itself. I asked to borrow a chair to test it out for the night and they even let me leave with it as a tester (after giving them my credit card info of course). I'll be back tomorrow to return the chair and place an order for one of my own.

Great store. I came in with back and tailbone pain, and the owner, Cynthia, set me up with a chair that helped a great deal. She is really knowledgeable and helpful. Plus they have a 2-week, no-questions-asked return policy which allows you to try it out and make sure it works. Good chairs cost more money than the standard office chair, and so that's a good thing.
Got a 2.5 hr education on ergonomics in addition to a (quite expensive) great quality chair. Went from headaches / pain every day to one bad day in the month I've owned the chair. Thanks Frank!

The exact custom chair that I ordered came in a few weeks. As somebody who works on a computer all day I learned the importance of ergonomics early in my career. I also learned the hard way that cheaping out on office chairs that cost a few hundred bucks a great way to screw up your back, and you've only got one spine. I spent a long time looking for a decent office chair that's comfortable for long periods of programming and since I'd found a great zero-g recliner at Relax the Back I tried a few of their office chairs, purchasing and reluctantly returning two $1k+ chairs because I just couldn't get comfortable in either.
I stayed with a comfortable-enough Steelcase chair I had until it broke three years ago, and that's when I found the Better Back Store. They spent a lot of time showing me different chair options, going over the pros and cons of the most well-known brands versus the ones they recommended, and I decided to try a nice Lifeform office chair. I'm sitting in it now, and I couldn't recommend it higher. I actually purchased an identical one last year, same options with the headrest, memory foam, high back, adjustable lumbar, etc., and I can keep one at the office and one for working from home.
I recently pulled a tendon and read that Lifeform sells a pivoting arm for the chair that adds extra support. I took my existing chair arm into the store and they were able to upgrade it with the swivel part and charged me a fraction of what it listed for on the website! I also liked that so much that I purchased a second one, and might actually upgrade the other sides because the swivel is so comfortable.
I highly recommend this place, both for the quality of their chair and the amount of expertise they have in ergonomics, posture, and familiarity with their products.
I have been to better back for years, and never had a bad experience. I bought several lumbar cushions as old ones wore out. The staff was always extremely patient and made sure I got exactly what I needed. I recently bought a desk chair there, and was very happy with the service. They made sure I got the right chair, delivered and set it up. I dfinitely recommend Better Back to all my friends.
I had a chair that I thought was on hold for me for my husbands birthday. When I called, the owner said there was someone in the chair at that moment and that they may want to buy it. I was horribly upset because I thought is was on hold for me. I said she knew I wanted to buy it and I have the credit card to pay right now over the phone. She asked the person while we were on the phone telling this customer that "this was the person I was telling you" about and rudely told me this other person wanted to buy it and sold it out from under me. I felt it was very wrong and I am now scrambling to find this gift for my husband now last min. BAD customer service is very sad to me!!!!
Due to bad ergonomics while using my computer I had terrible pain in my neck and shoulder. My physical therapist advised me to go to the Better Back Store for a better chair and pillow. The customer service was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and fit me into the perfect chair. I love the chair and the pillow I bought! It has greatly helped my symptoms and makes working at my computer for hours on end enjoyable not painful.
I have owned a Lifeform Ultimate Executive office chair for about 6 years. Due to its' incredible comfort, I desired to create a custom Lifeform chair for use at my piano.
