Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort Review

Best Kind Of Hotel me and my Family loved it i really don't want to give any my name or anything so just call me Corey this Hotel gets my 5 Stars because of the view and the pool and we were on the list really quickly although i wasn't paying much attention but all around it was fun!

I stayed at this hotel a week ago and my expectations were very high and my disappointment was even bigger. The customer service of the hotel is really bad, there is not customer service what so ever. The restaurants are always empty and they make you wait an hour just to sit, the servers are lost, food is awful, drinks sucks, i am not exaggerating this has been my worst experience so far in a resort in my life. Valet parking is super expensive, and in the rooms you can barely sleep because you can hear everything on the hallway an other rooms. I gave 2 stars for a courtesy because they really deserve 1.

When used this for parking. They have very beautiful interior, e.g. slipper statue. They have direct access to the beach. Its $4 per hour for the first 3 hours.

Drinks are really good, they need a little more food, but what they have is really good too

Friendly staff. Just remember you re on Margaritaville time - don t expect anything to be quick, especially room cleaning. (Still waiting staff 5 PM on a Sunday.)

The Margaritaville resort is beautiful. The restaurant in the lobby was fabulous. The housekeeping was poor. I was there four nites and my room was cleaned once. That was very disappointing. Everything else was actually very nice, but it would not help you get better if I weren't completely honest.

The only complaint is that someone from the hotel stopped my husband when he was getting me coffee early in the morning and took his room key away because his name wasn't on the reservation. Why would they stop him, coffees in hand, he had a room key, to look him up in the system? I didn't add his name to the reservation, as all of the billing info was in my name. Besides this one incident, the hotel was amazing. We didn't have to eat out at any other venue, since the hotel had so many restaurant options. We spent our days on the beach, which was a few steps away. And loved the fun Margaritaville decor. We will definitely be back!

This resort is amazing! The pools are gorgeous and perfectly maintained. Rooms are your own piece of paradise. Bars/restaurants are delicious, drinks are dangerously smooth. All staff were really friendly, cheerful and super accommodating. Loved every minute!

I purchased a room that you advertised as ocean view and paid extra for an ocean view. When I checked in my room 1156 -- it is NOT an ocean view, rather a pool view. I went back downstairs to complain that I paid for an ocean view, Bernadette (registration) stated that THAT is the ocean view and that there are different categories of ocean view such as partial ocean view, etc. I did not pay for a PARTIAL ocean view. If I wanted a pool view I would have stayed in my condo which has a pool view. Additionally, she went on to say that they do have a lot of complaints of the same issue.... and nothing is being done about it?

Comfortable, clean, everything within reach.
The room was nice and spacious and aligned with my reservation. Comfy beds, very clean and the balcony is nice. There is a small fridge that is also handy for keeping things cold.
The pools are nice and while might look small, we didn t bump into anyone and I had my kids (9 and 3-y-old) at sight almost every time.
Valet parking service I used was aligned with expectations, as well as cleanliness of room and all common areas.
Wifi works very well in almost every location and even at the beach, where the chairs and umbrella were spot on.
Everyone from staff was nice to us especially the security guy at the pool that helped opening an umbrella at the pool (didn t get the name but he called Wilson on Tuesday despite it was not his job, he made us feel very welcomed and comfortable!).
Dinner at the restaurants were nice yet a bit expensive for the quality of food, except the breakfast which was awesome. I didn t experience the JWB. The terrace at Landshark is great although it took as a while (10 minutes) to have someone to get our orders.
I also used the fitness center which is huge and nice!
On the downside: food is pricey in every location; it s so cold at common areas up to freezing! I know outside is super hot but seems too much of a waste of energy plus feeling really cold at the lobby and the rooms hallways; Employees do their job well and can t complaint, but except the already mentioned security person, the receptionist at check-in and check-out, plus Savannah at the coffee place and Rim from Cali at the poolside bar (have been outstanding!) everyone seem not too enthusiastic as you normally expect in a resort.
Overall: good experience and recommendable for families with kids.

Margaritaville is really nice. Fun beach decor. Food and beverages are reasonably priced. Beware of the Hollywood Boardwalk. My tote bag, containing a pair of prescription glasses was stolen. No security was to be found. Checked back multiple times, but was just SOL. The following week police were everywhere, so I'm certain I wasn't the only one. Still losing an expensive pair of glasses left me not wanting to come back to this beach.

Excellent hotel! It will not disappoint in providing relaxation and good times.

Right by the beach, full of great entertainment such as restaurants, shows and even surfing wich are available to you even if you don't actually stay at the hotel overnight.

Bathroom sliding door broke/came apart and fell on my wife.
Weather/ Lightning policy seriously needs to be evaluated. Lightning could be striking 10 miles away and with sunny skies out and no rain and the hotel pool will be closed. This is unacceptable when you have guest paying high Rates to not enjoy the pools. Never again !!!!!

It was pretty good food, live music was nice and the boardwalk was very nice!

Bad location (lots of run down buildings) and too many local bums . Rooms are also very rubbed down and not clean .

My wife and I had an excellent stay here in early August! The resort is beautiful, with plenty of things to do, and it is in an excellent location in Hollywood Beach. The room was perfect, very clean and spacious. The restaurants onsite were all wonderful! Every staff person we interacted with went above and beyond to serve us. We will stay here again or at another Margaritaville location very soon!

They wouldn't seat our party of 20 because it was too inconvenient to move tables around. They lost our business.

Staff were excellent. Food was wonderful. Room was clean and bright. No issues to report. A wonderful travel experience from beginning to end.

My hometown place to go. Great entertainment good food and great margaritas. Beautiful view of the ocean. Weekends are busy.

My husband was first there for a professional meeting on the 9th floor, some months back, and we decided we wanted to stay for a weekend at some point. Originally planned for last October, I had to reschedule due to an illness. The whole process was flawless and we were even upgraded when we got there. The staff is so wonderful. The food in the restaurants is delicious. We live in near by but it's still a wonderful getaway. Will definitely be back!

Took 1.5 hours from our arrival to get our room. Granted this was before check-in time but they knew we had to get ready for a wedding at 5 pm. But we were assigned a beautiful suite and we were very thankful for that. Two room complaints:. One sink did not drain. One bedside lamp did not work.

Everything was great. We felt safe and the staff was very professional.

i went there for a second time with family for another 9 day stay. It seams like all is the same but its not and it might be due to the recent sell of the hotel to new entity. If you come for the first time its still ok but we know it was better. I hope its just temporary commotion because of the process of making it after purchase. Anyway we will probably look at the other options for next stay but we will still consider this one. The location is perfect for family fun, swimming pools, beach concerts rentals a lot of restaurants on the boardwalk.

Just booked visit #4 for this upcoming March to show our adult kids/Jimmy Buffet fans how awesome the resort is. Counting the days!!!

When a place is called "Margaritaville", you'd expect them to serve superb margaritas! This was not the case. Way over-priced, especially when they're served in a common PLASTIC CUP with a PAPER straw and one measley lime garnish. This was on the patio of the Landshark bar on a Thursday evening (July 11th) Our male server was slow-to-average. I paid $14 for my margarita (a "well" tequila floater on the side). Never again, unless it's served in a more "touristy" style GLASS. You are basically paying for the name and location when you go here.

Everything closes way too early. The pool, poolside bar, upstairs deck, etc. Guess what time it all opens up again? One hour before check out. So if your only staying one night this is so not worth almost 400 a night after fees and taxes.

Definitely stop in if your in the area, do not need to have a room there. You can go into the store, use the restrooms and check out the beautiful bottom floor.

It must be nice for the people who stay at the hotel because it is a front ocean place but for the locals, not really :/ The parking is overpriced and the food or drinks nor that great.

Hollywood beach is awesome! Margaritaville looked cool and had music(not live) but they said they used to have live bands all the time pre covid. Tons of places to eat food and lots of pretty people.

5 O'clock Somewhere, has the best view for the sunset. Great happy hour drink and Erick the bartender is the best on the beach!

Great hotel. We were there for the superbowl. Loved how it's right on the water. Beautiful pools including one on the roof top for adults only. Kids are welcome in the hotel. Great restaurants. Just needs to have something that offers late night snacks. Great place

Really nice resort, super clean rooms, and friendly staff. I love that it's so easy to go from the pool to the beach with very little hassle. The food is a little overpriced but overall not bad. Fun and relaxing place to be!

Stayed here during covid, and not impressed. Some things you could blame on covid, but some you can't. There is no refrigerator in the room. Theres no microwave, theres no lock on the bathroom door, and no door on the shower (not a very good combo with little kids). Also food and drinks were overpriced and not very good. The only thing that was reasonable was the flowrider thing.

Had a great stay. The Anniversary deal was very good.

Had a great time at Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort for some much needed R&R. Only a few steps away from the beach and places to eat. Located this place on my last visit to Florida and wanted to check it out. Due to Covid-19 many places were not open but definitely a place to check out and for me to visit again.

Negatives: Beach was covered in seaweed and never cleaned up. Cost of beach chairs was high and you lose them if you leave them for 30 mins even though you paid for the day. Pool had a sewage smell coming from a drain but the north gate. Most guests were from northeast and we re pushy, rude, played their own loud music from portable devices by the pool, and even stole our umbrella when we walked away to grab a bite to eat. I think most of these people were not staying at the resort - probably not good allowing outsiders in with day passes.
Positives: staff were very nice. Food was great. Resort was clean and laid out very well.

Great service and fun atmosphere. All should try their wave machine if you have a chance. Fun for kids and adults.

It was awesome. The resort is beautiful. The atmosphere and laid back vibe is just fantastic. Our room was always clean. The food and service was beyond our expectations and everyone is always friendly and cheerful. It really is like paradise.

Bernadette checked me in and was amazing! She explained all her pins and all the features of the hotel. She had a smile that just made you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Clement was slick. He walked up to me with those passed crabcakes and asked oh so politely "Teresa, would you care for a crabcake?" He had read my nametag and then personalized the interaction, very smooth...I loved it and told him so. So many people stood out, what an amazing team, everyone was over the top helpful and always smiling. I will be back for a true vacation and tell lots of people about Margaritaville Hollywood Beach.
