Basil's Pizza and Deli Review

First time I try the pizzas of this place, my cousin brought them to my house. Simply delicious !!!

Love their pizza ordered multiple times and always on point. The lasagna is out of this world. Better than my mother-in-laws and hers is amazing. Definitely will continue to be our our Friday pizza night favorite and some Sundays when we have guest over. If you haven't tried it you don't know what your missing.

I have not reviewed a restaurant in over 4 years and this one happened on me by accident. I found their menu in my mailbox and after a long day at the office I thought we would give it a try. Excellent fast delivery during peak hours and the pizza, Stromboli, wings, meatballs and mozzarella sticks were just what we needed for a cheat day. I will absolutely order here again and plan on recommending it in my local circles.

Today was my first time trying this place, and it's already my new favorite! Very reasonable prices for huge servings of delicious food. Very fast service and long menu that has something for everyone, highly recommended.

If you can get the attention of the non-owner employee to acknowledge your physical presence, the place is excellent.

The problem is when you have employees that don't care and being a customer interrupts their "cruising time."

This place "Pizza Deli" is an all around 5 star place. The neighborhood where this establishment is located is absolutely gorgeous (West Miami / Coral Gables). The moment you walk in the door you're greeted with a warm smile and they kindly explain the menu to you. The food is very very good and it's prepared with love by the owner himself who happens to be a very nice guy named Carlos, his sister Jeanne is super sweet and welcoming ,she's there to accommodate your experience with great attention. I recommend this place for lunch during the week, a nice Sunday lunch destination with the family or even a cozy date with a special someone. I give this place 5 stars because it's AMAZING.

First i must add that pizza is different things to different people. I personally was not pleased with the cheese to sauce ratio. In this case little to no sauce and tons of cheese. crust was crunchy and well made. Service was excellent. I will return and make sure to be more explicit on how i wish my pie to be assembled. Thank you for investing in our community. I think i speak for the majority when i say that a mom and pop establishment beets any chain any day.

Great crispy and large pizza. Ingredients are fresh and tasty. Garlic knots are very good as well, with real olive oil, not an oil blend. Price is on the high end, but worth it. Your taste buds will thank you. You get what you pay for. Enjoy!!

I love this place usually but this is disappointing my pizza is mangled

We were there at the last power outtage and the owners let us eat in the dark using our cell phone lights. It was a cool experience and the food was the best.

New york style pizza? Yes please. Their pizza is great, I usually ask for it extra crispy and double cut, if I don't ask for it extra crispy it is a little soggy but come on which pizza isn't when it's full of cheese and greasy pepperoni LOL. I usually have the pizza here, I've also eaten the lasagna which is OK, the ground beef is turned into the consistency of a meatball/meatloaf, it's not just ground beef. The meatball sub has too much sauce and makes the bread extra soggy, it's huge but I don't like soggy bread. The garlic rolls are delish but if you want pizza this is the place to go. The owners are always there and are very kind and try to accommodate any special requests.

I would definitely come here again, let me just start off by saying that this restaurant is a must-visit restaurant in town. I've never been to Italy but this place seems to be authentic.

The chorizo and pepperoni is some of the best I've ever had! All fresh ingredients make this the pizza place to go to in West Miami!

Young lady was not good at taking orders. Our food had to go back and be remade.

Pizza arrived almost 2 hours after ordered . Was told over and over again that it would be just another 20 minutes . Pizza had BLACK BURNED CRUST and it was inedible. Quality has gone down in this pizza place , I will never order again from this place . Horrible pizza night .

Edit : Owner was understanding and very helpful in dealing with our bad order , turned my frown upside down . Any establishment can have a bad order and I'm happy they made up for it. I will order again .

AMAZING! My experience from the moment I walked in was incredible. The way the staff treats the customers is something you don t find often in restaurants. Jeanne was our server and she was the sweetest, I asked for help on what to order because everything looked so good! Ordered the Philly cheesesteak and the bread was honestly the best I ve had with a philly! Had to get the Nutella dessert WOW the picture doesn t do justice. Definitely have to try this place out if you haven t already!

Awesome pizza and subs with fresh ingredients. Soft bread, high quality cheese, and even entire whole strips of bacon on the chicken and bacon pizza instead of little bits. These people aren't messing around.

In Miami, it s very rare to walk into a restaurant and get that family owned feeling. But walking into Pizza Deli was like walking into my Italian grandmother s kitchen. If you re looking for a cozy spot with delicious food and friendly service, Pizza Deli is the place for you.

I was very happy that the owner reached out to me after what had happened it's an excellent family owned business with excellent food , I would highly recommend you go and enjoy the food.

Take a pass on the chain restaurants and order from Pizza Deli! The food quality is on point and they have very large portion sizes. We're pretty picky pizza eaters and have ordered from Pizza Deli several times and it's always been consistent. (Salads as well as pizza!) It may seem pricey, but not out of the norm for Miami and the portions make up for it.

A Gem on the edge of Coral gables.
I just tried their cheese pizza and their vegetable pizza too.
The crust was perfect, crispier than a NY pizza, real Italian style.
Made here, with fresh ingredients.
They have beers and wine which is a plus to enjoy a meal.
In the light side you could have salads.
Pastas are also in the menu, but I'll try them next time.
They get non stop delivery orders over the phone.
I am very happy I found it.

Best pizza ever had!!! I love the fact that they do slices and you can customize your own slice or pizza pie. They thin dough is amazing full of flavor. I don't order any chain pizza brand anymore since I moved to the Gables. The owner is back in the kitchen making pizza so you can imagine how much love is out in your food :-)

Very good, quick & convenient pizza. They serve slices even in the evening, which is hard to find, so definitely on my list to frequent often. Good selection of bottled beer.

Authentic great tasting pizza. We had the Margherita with a touch of tomato sauce and it was perfect. Closest you can get to New York pizza in this town. Gotta try the garlic knots as well. Just the right amount of oil and garlic.
