Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort Review

We enjoyed our stay, convenient located, close to the beach, dining and shopping... clean and the pools were heated. We will definitely comeback again.

This was a lovely resort. The views were breathtaking and I absolutely loved the room.

Room was AMAZING, Hotel was beautiful and clean. I hope to stay again!!!

The resort is pretty good for a night out. It's also nice to walk down the beach during day or night.

After a cruise, We hung out here for a few hours, watched a football game and had lunch before heading to the airport. The bell hop Claude couldn't have been nicer about keeping our luggage. We definitely look forward to staying here to enjoy the rest of the resort on a future trip and appreciated the warm hospitality during our short visit.

The rooms are nice but the bar is boring, the bartenders are the worst

Things that are very important to us and that you did very well:
* The friendly upbeat vibe created by your staff
* The cleanliness of the resort
* Service, everywhere
* Location

Things that were slightly disappointing:
* Our room (King Ocean View) had no where to set room service when we decided to breakfast in, etc.
* Pretty awkward eating in the room.
* You allowed it to rain for about 20 minutes during our five day stay :-)

So fun! Exact place to serve all of your needs! Friendly staff, especially the woman who works at the towel desk on the boardwalk! She is such a joy!!! Fun place! Oh and the beach servers are the best!!!! Especially the one that served me on Sunday afternoon and the server I had today (Monday)! They were fantastic! Thanks ladies!

We celebrates our daughters 16th Birthday and we all had a amazing time. The staff was super nice they brought balloons to our room made her feel very special.

Walked through lobby with gorgeous decor and very friendly staff...

My friends and I really liked this place. It was pretty chill when we went and it was a weekend. Not too overly crowded which is great. There are lots of bars and restaurants along the beach. Also you could rent cabanas and there would be waiters that will come out and get your food or drink orders. It's very convenient and worth it!

MY FAMILY AND I HAD A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AT THE HOTEL AND WOULD NOT HESITATE TO SPEND ANOTHER VACATION ON PROPERTY.

Be it a cold drink or a hot app. Perfect place to chill and feel the Florida seabreeze.

It was a quick trip and I was disappointed with customer service and care.

Lunch - offer simple, light menu items...we arrived middle of the afternoon, had missed lunch due to flight, wanted a light meal to tide us over until dinner. every item on the menu was a meal.
The food was excellent...every meal...cudos to the chefs
Seaweed - do not know if it was the time of the year but is there not a way to scrape up the seaweed on the beach - by the afternoon, in the hot sun all day it began to smell
Internet and wi-fi need to be improved, not able to connect at times, dropped lines, had to go outside to get a connection.

Great place, to get ice cream and just relax and enjoy the beach and the water and look at the eclectic groups of people passing by! :)

Waited over an hour to get a table even though they had other tables available sat us by the door very windy and cold

I've been to Margaritaville Resort several times. The cleaning staff has definitely not the same staff when they first opened the bed was dirty look like food on the sheet found personal hygiene hair in the bed pillows were flat, ice bucket bag was shook out and put back to use again glasses were dirty to drink out of and the coffee shop girl overcharged me for two small bottles of chocolate milk $14. She was too busy with her boyfriend made me seem like I was inconveniencing her so instead of grabbing muffins there we went out to breakfast somewhere else. In the gift shop I had shirts they had limited sizes of and I actually caught the girl changing my size from large to small t-shirts just to make a sale. I was very disappointed because I love the hotel and the staff is friendly and the location is fabulous

Amazing layout! Great customer service at the bar and good drinks. Get the fruit platter also, comes with plenty and a slice of loaf/pound cake!

The resort is absolutely amazing. We had a 3 generational celebration for my husband and I's 40th wedding anniversary. We love water, the beach, great food and beverages. Margaretville did not disappoint in any of those categories! The staff exhibited wonderful customer service skills as well.

I always have a good experience there. The staff is alway on point and fit the brand and feel I go there for. The one thing is I have not yet been there while the airstream is serving food. That s always a bummer. I d also think it would good to be able to use/rent a branded cooler with beers to take to the beach. The buckets are nice but melt fast and feel exposed.

Did not stay or visit the Hotel or restaurant. Just used the parking lot there to walk the Broadwalk and had dinner at Newly renovated Nick's Restaurant which was very good.

Every one was so helpful it was a great experience for my 40th birthday

Upon Check In the man behind the counter was very nice. We wanted to see about upgrading our two rooms to one suite. The person behind the counter stated he would be happy to but the first night was not available, but he we could move the next nights of our stay. We were staying a total of five nights.

He went to speak to a manager in the back and came out and apologized stating the manager said we would not be able to upgrade since it is a busy weekend and mostly likely someone will want the suite.

New Years Eve night we paid for five tickets to your pool party. We were very disappointed at the party. We ended up going around back to the stage and listed to the band and ate at the pizza place. For the cost we paid to have have no seating, no food and over priced drinks was just disappointing. However the atmosphere out on the board walk was terrific and we ended up having a great time.

All the other amenities and staff were fantastic however and we will very much recommend your property and stay in the future. However if we ever come back to celebrate New Years we will know to just head to the boardwalk.

Very clean, friendly staff, spacious room. Nice pool and beach! Spa was great. The food could be better but.

Food was just ok but too pricey for what we ate and drank. The service was good, but wouldn't eat the again for that price.

Housekeeping was horrible. Had to call to request service. Had to call fo rcoffee or water several days. Cleaning was poor.

The Beach and the Music were awesome
However the dinner at the Shark was Horrible.

Service and rooms were fantastic. Bar outside closed a little early in my opinion for a Saturday night.

Check in with Juan was amazing he deliver exceptional service and first impression was amazing due to his services. However it rained the entire day that we were not able to enjoy any of the resorts amenity which kind of defeated the whole purpose of our visit for the one day.

Very clean, beautiful property, amazing location. It was nice to visit there without big crowds but I would be worried if the hotel was a lot busier, particularly at the pool areas.
Disappointed the spa was closed on the days I was there (Mon-Wed).
Good security at pool.
Decent enough food with great options for kids, great drinks.
Lovely beach!
The property is starting to show some wear and tear on hard surfaces and needs a little TLC to keep those details looking fresh.

Great location right on the boardwalk, within a few seconds walking distance to the shore. Incredibly beautiful and clean, at least from what I observed in the lobby and shopping areas. Plenty of fun stuff to do with the kids outside near the pool area as well.

Great food and atmosphere. The server was a bit slow, but was still a great experience.

1st off THE SLOWEST SERVICE EVER. The staff working there look like they don't wanna be there. They're wearing whatever they want. I don't wanna get served by a scruffy dude wearing a beanie.. like cmon?
2nd. THE STAFF IS SO RUDE. If you don't wanna work there L E A V E. Simple as that..
3rd THE FOOD ISN'T UP TO THE STANDARD THAT I'M PAYING.. $20 for 3 small coconut shrimp? No..
I AM NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN. THEY NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THEIR STAFF.

The Spa is nothing special and the steam room and "extras" aren't great. The services, however, were good. The Coffee Shop has great beverages and perhaps some of the best service at the resort! Daniel and Ariel are the nicest and most accompdating people and we appreciated them going above and beyond for us during our stay! :) The Margaritaville restaurant has a long wait to be seated and to get food at all hours, even when not busy! The food is AWFUL anyway. Highly disappointed. And the service is one of the worst dining experiences I've ever encountered. The hostess did not even speak to us upon arrival. The employee Nimfa(?) was the rudest, most unprofessional person in the hospitality industry. She put off many people in our party and we left immediately. We explicitly told the rest of our colleagues not to go here during our stay, mostly because of HER. She singlehandedly ruined our night and we will be sure to spread the word and follow up with management. Which is very sad because the resort itself, rooms, location and all other staff have been polite and very helpful.

Poor management. Went to the Landshark bar while listening to the band on the boardwalk, the bartender was very rude first off. We took a seat in the Adirondack chairs to enjoy our drink. Not one server came over and asked if we wanted or needed anything. There were several empty tables so they were not that busy. As for the restrooms, very inconvenient. 1 person bathrooms with 1 toilet. Very surprised about that, especially for the amount of people that frequent the bar. Afterwards we decided to go inside into the Margaritaville restaurant for a bite to eat and listen to the band that was suppose to start at 9. There were at least 20 empty tables. The hostess proceeds to tell us there's a 20 minute wait. I said to her but the place is nearly empty. At this point my boyfriend was ready to leave. I stopped a little waitress who was very nice and she seated us in her area. When I asked her why the hostess said it was a 20 minute wait, she replied she had no idea, but they do it pretty regularly. We ordered a drink and appetizer. Took nearly 30 minutes to get a quesadilla. By now it's 940 and the band that was suppose to have started at 9 has not shown up. It's a Sunday night. The waitress tells us a different band that was booked Friday night was a no show as well. Needless to say, after our 1 drink and quesadilla we left. The place is poorly managed. Will not go back out next visit.

Excellent customer service. Our room was not ready yet at 5pm, but excellent customer service was provided to help us feel welcome. Rooms are spacious and beautiful.

Even the cold couldnt stop the warmth of this place!

We had Jorge serve us drinks and he was fantastic. Quick and kind, all you can ask for in a waiter.

Nothing to improve, very good treatment at the dinner, very good welcoming by the front desk manager.

Fun, but a bit pricy for everything including the shops and the restaurants. Read the parking instructions carefully so your car doesn't get booted!

Edit: my car didn't get booted. In fact, I wasn't driving. I witnessed a lady express her deep displeasure at the the discovery of a boot on her car as she mercilessly berated a gentleman who was accompanying her. I totally understand her frustration, but the verbal onslaught was a bit much.

Too loud !! Kinda of like Loud Music & People screaming at each other !! Yikes !!

Band Shell is awsome Havoc 305 is the best local band in South Florida. See you New Years Eve

Very nice place for a family to call home for a few days.
Cost efficient for what they offer, prompt staff and extremely needy.

Whenever I'm in town I'm always there. Favorite margarita is here, favorite burger and beautiful area.

This place was okay. Beautiful layout very good drinks. The service does need some improvement. We were sitting right by the stage which made it almost impossible to have a conversation while the band was playing. We asked for another table and were told that was the only one they had despite their being multiple open tables on the balcony.

We would have preferred one of the seats at the balcony but they were staying it was closed at the time despite being open for several hours after that. The food was good but it took a very long time to come and it came out in a strange fashion as I ordered the entree with the sides. The entree came out and the sides came out 10 minutes later.

The live music was nice but for us sitting right by the stage it became annoying.

Top notch and absolutely gorgeous hotel! My beautiful bride and I spent a couple of days in Fort Lauderdale fresh off our Caribbean cruise. What a fun and 1st class place. They took thought and detail into putting this property together, to give it the Jimmy Buffet Key West feel. From the friendly front desk staff to the beach attendants helping you get your complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas. What a beautiful setting, nestled right on the beach and boardwalk and across the street from GG s restaurant ( which is a definite MUST TRY for happy hour! You ll find my review on that delicious find on google maps too!) Margaritaville has music playing nightly and your given the schedule on check in. The rooms are extraordinarily clean and beds are soft. Room service is served 24/7 and bar service is served everywhere including the beach! And after a cruise how can my liver keep up? Who knows? Our days were spent relaxing and taking every second of our time in a beautiful hotel. Don t miss Margaritaville if you plan on staying in beautiful Fort Lauderdale

nice place..pricey and i didn't see jimmy buffett anywhere...

I love coming to this place every weekend and hanging out with all of my friends and getting some drinks at the bar. I'm a huge Jimmy Buffett fan and when I found out Margaritaville was coming my dreams of boring weekends were laid to rest. Fins to the left, fins to the right, Margaritaville is the only place in town for me.

Great resort! Staff is excellent in making you feel welcome, and grounds are pristine. 3 pools, many bar/restaurant options, and drink service around the pool and on the beach. Highly recommend!

Love the establishment! What I do not love is that both times I've eaten there my food has been quite salty. The chicken quesadilla tasted good until the salt hits you. I loved fried chicken and Margaritavilles fried chicken with mashed potato's and greenbeans is delicious! We ordered it to go once 3 wks ago and had no problem. We ate at the restaurant/bar 5/19/17 and had the fried chicken again and it was salty.

The resort is beautiful! Everything looks very up to date and clean. Staff is very friendly and willing to help. Our room was ready when we arrived hours early, on a holiday weekend nonetheless! The atmosphere is fun and energetic and there is entertainment going on in multiple places at night. The room is amazing and holds true to the theme of Margaritaville.

Great vibe as you walk into a beautiful decorated resort lobby. Always greeted by Sandra at the door with a big smile and friendly disposition. Checking in was smooth and fast. Juan was very helpful and professional.
Our kids had many activities to do and had a great time. We will definitely be back
