Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort Review

Update July 2019: one year later, the staff that the spaces are still beautiful. The hotel needs to start refreshing carpets and design elements that have gotten worn over the past two years. The towels had holes and the armchair in our room was torn. The carpet was stained. Other than that, everything about our previous review stands. The value for your resort fee in terms of getting free beach chairs, great service, and even free kids balloon animals still stands. July 2018: The grounds and room decor were absolutely stunning. Check in and out were both excellently managed with no waits. Juan was very kind. The staff, particularly those working with the kids and on the water slide were fun and made the kids happy. Bianca was a hit. The pool chairs were torn, and need to be replaced before someone falls through, and the fact that the beach was foul made it hard to get a chair at the pool. We appreciated that the chairs and umbrella for the beach, along with the bikes, were included in our resort fee. The staff at the paddleboard/kayak shop are amazing. The restaurant staff are kind. You need a kids menu at breakfast. It's just silly not to have an offering of a small plate or cereal. You lose money because kids end up just eating off adult plates instead of ordering a big plate for themselves. You also need a kids menu at the restaurant near the paddleboard shop for lunch service. The rooms are lovely. The doors to the bathrooms are starting to come off their hinges (room 1252 at least). Overall we loved our stay and will return.

We spent 5 days and enjoyed it very much. Very relaxing and inviting. Entire staff was great with lone exception of the concierge. We felt she was in the wrong profession.
Kudos to staff at 11th floor pool.

Better breakfast options. Maybe continental breakfast or Buffett. We had breakfast sandwiches twice and they were really unsatisfying other then that our experience was top notch!!!!

The resort seems nice. Food and drinks were pretty good and had a good view of the beach.

We ask for a ground floor room thought we were getting one. we had handicap wheelchair 26 yr old with us. The fire alarm sounded at 1:30 am we had difficulties getting him down the stairs during the alarm we were on the 14th floor. Thank God it was false alarm and thank another guest for carrying him down 14 floors while I carried the wheel chair.

Nice atmospehere. Good drinks. No daytime entertainment on saturday afternoon.

AMAZING food and AMAZING service! Family of 5 including an infant, waiters/waitresses were kind and courteous. Food was more than delicious.

What a fun family place. The food was good and fairly priced and the kids enjoyed the mermaid balloon designers on stilts.

I had a great stay and will most likely be back in the future.

Beautiful and clean. Parking is good considering the area. Kind of pricey.

I hope Margaritaville pushes the powers that be to clean up the ocean..heartbreaking to see the dulled colors of the Florida coastline paradise is being buried

Not bad at all considering it's location and closeness to the beach. If I could ask for one thing... it would be colder ac. At 50 bucks a night, stones throw from the beach, literally 40 feet. I would stay here again. Free use of chairs and beach towels from the front desk. My room came with a fridge, microwave and a hotplate. Coffee maker and coffee was included. Direct TV and a flatscreen tv was also included. Was a nice thing laying on the kingsize bed.

Good food and environment. Very thorough on protecting patrons during Covid Pandemic

I love the hotel. Sits right on a prime piece of beach.

Food is good. Drinks are good. Concierge service is spectacular. Laina and Justin are excellent concierge pros.

Went to see the outdoor Reggae concert which was amazing. The production was great and entertaining.

Nice resort, lots of food and things to view and do, Sits right on Hollywood Boardwalk with so much entertainment and fun at the beach. plus the hotel has the wave pool for surfing which is amazing. kids love it. great food to select on Hollywood Boardwalk. Shops as well.

A big plus for the area and Hotel.

Staff is always extremely friendly and helpful, and the beautiful views and calm atmosphere make this resort a great vacation spot!

Went to Restaurant had a overpriced meal. The food was cold and the server had no clue on what to do. The management there is terrible. They are like temporary style management . Went to the pool to walk around the wave machine guy was very rude and was more interested in talking to his girlfriend than answering my question. Never again.

Our waiter was great too bad the food was not I wasn't impressed and the prices are high. My husband fish was fried over well done, the wings are awful, and the tuna melt is the worst I've ever had. They only thing that was good was the ice cream.

The staff at Margaritaville in Hollywood Florida made you feel welcome from the time you drive up to the time that you drive away. The staff in the morning coffee bar very helpful very friendly attention to detail detail is phenomenal. The staff by the pool deck also very helpful very friendly very welcome made you feel warm and fuzzy inside everyone at Margaritaville that works there is very helpful

Margaritaville In Hollywood Beach was awesome, by the pool tho gentleman by the name of Angel was very accommodating and helpful. He made our day and based off our conversations with him we would be back.

horrible concierge staff. Hugo & Adam were just horrible. we approached the concierge desk for info about "deep sea fishing" we are a family on a budge. they gave us a brochure for "sport fishing" charters, remind you like I said before we are a family on a budge. I did not want to much hundreds of dollars but Hugo & Adam instant we call this boat "lady Pamela" ,so we took a drive down to the boats, where we were greeted by this hyper gentleman named Mark, and a "tobacco" chewing crew member named Sean. We were told that there wasn't enough people to go fishing, & we should book a fishing trip right NOW for $500.00. please remember we did not want to go "sport fishing" we wanted to go "deep sea fishing" trust me I know the difference! As my wife and I spoke about the fishing trip & cost, we were hesitate about booking this fishing trip. So we declined, as I was standing there with my wife and family, there was a boat leaving the dock next door and my children wanted to know why we weren't on that boat. The boat had at least 25 people on board. my family and I were so disgusted. We got in the car and drove back to the hotel, as soon as we got back to the hotel, I approached the concierge desk where I once meant Hugo & Adam, and I explained the situation and all Hugo could say to me is.. "well you have to understand sir, I was contracted by lady Pamela, Mr. David Ide (who owns the business) told me to only send the "fishing " business to them. and that he (Hugo & Adam) really don't know anything about the business.
let's continue here, the next day I drove back down to the fishing boat (lady Pamela) and no one was in the office, so I walked next door (super sea legs) where I was greeted by a lovely lady name Amy, she gave us a brochure about "deep sea fishing" (in which we wanted to do in the first place) she explained to me what they offer, so I went back to the hotel, spoke to my wife, we discussed the prices & options. so now we are booked for tomorrow (10/2/15) on the Super Sea Legs. My kids are SUPER excited to go fishing. I will definitely post pictures of the fish and boat after our trip. so stay tuned :)

p.s. I honestly think here, and this is my only opinion here, Hugo made a deal with the "devil" I personally think we was handed cash (in a envelope) to make people go to this horrible fishing/tobacco chewing place.
I will never ask the concierge for any services again. Hugo is scary looking, not a friendly person.
I will be calling corporate in the morning.

The resort was a little outdated, and housekeeping was OK - for the amount of money we spent on rooms etc, it was just OK. It didn't knock my socks off.
They also have "online" checkout but that does not produce a copy of "billed charges" - I had to call three times to get an itemized bill sent to me.

We had a good time but the experience was not really worth the expense due to all of the covid changes. I would go back later when things are up and running better.

My husband and I have come several times in the past from Texas. We have always enjoyed our time there. I brought my daughter(her first time to spend my birthday). Plus I'm going in for knee replacement. Everything was great except for check in. We were flying in early. At the time of reservation I had asked about early check in. I was told they would do there best. We checked back a few times only to be told , not quite ready. We ate lunch, walked around checked back. Nothing. We ended up waiting 5 hours to get in our room while others were walking up checking in and getting room keys. Didnt understand but oh well. What do you do? Over all good time.

Good food and hospitality. Neat and clean rooms and environment.

Just wish the swimming pool was available after 6pm. We were busy at the Conference the whole day and when we want to go for a swim the staff, chased us out the pool before 6 pm.
That is my only complaint. I did not have time to enjoy the hot pool at all due to this arrangement.

The property was great, they still need to work on customer service, I mentioned our anniversary and not event a chocolate or any details to us, we used the spa and then wanted to use the facility for changing the following day and they wanted to charge us, unheard

It's nice but understaffed and overpriced. We didn't get any maid service on our first day, new towels, or bottled water. Beach was littered a bit which was surprising again considering the price...

This resort was truly amazing. My family and I were welcomed and accommodated greatly by the valet, bell service, front desk, pool attendants, waitstaff, house keeping, and day care services. I want to give some some special shout outs to George, Sergio, and Tony in the bel and guest services for being so friendly. Bianca in the day care activities area. She was so patient and caring. The entire pool staff were so nice. And most notably our house keeping services attendant Winston. He was so amazing to my wife, and two kids. My two kids were sick and he brought us some honey and medicine without even us asking. He went above and beyond. My family will never forget his respect and kindness. This 5 night trip was amazing and definitely will have us returning. It s in a best location of Hollywood on the broadwalk with lots of attractions within walking distance. Also, the food was delicious and they had a wide selection of restaurants to choose from.

Had dinner at landlubbers bar & grill. Fast service, food was ok. Would not go to again.

Just got here and so far the resort is amazing! The room is extremely clean and room service is 24 hours. Had a quick bite and drink at the bar and the food was amazing. I had a key west quesadilla and some sweet potato fries. And finished it off with a tropical strawberry margarita. 1st night and I m in love. The front desk Joshua and Nick were extremely accommodating. They answered all
My questions and even suggested some top notch places to go. 1st day was amazing. I will be updating as the week goes on, they are off to an excellent start!
-Day 2, amazing start to the day, headed to Margaritaville for a little breakfast pancakes, excellent service. Amazing OJ. Next stop headed to beach, where we had complimentary chairs and umbrellas. The beach view was surreal, our own tropical paradise with a Panoramic view.
After the beach we headed back to the pool for tropical kew west view getaway. The resort is set like we are own our own remote island in the keys.. lunch was amazing at pool side from the Landshark bar & grill . Service was top notch. And then the margaritas, couldn t get enough.
-Day 3 we ordered cabana service. Our staff, Noah , Haley, Alejandro were on point! They catered to our every need, they dedicated servers and hostess were extremely impressive. Worth every penny. I had the Cuban sandwich for lunch, I felt like I was in Miami. The sandwich was amazing. And the code of the pool and waterfall just complimented everything, with a wall of palm trees and a continues waterfall we were all in heaven. Headed to the infamous JWB next.
Omg! When I tell you this was the best steak I ever had I mean it! First off, the service was top notch, our waiter Patrick put on an amazing show. The appetizers where all amazing. Each one better then the previous, since we had such a big group we were able to sample each appetizer. The steak selections were amazing all cooked to perfection. Don t get me started on the deserts. Just look at the pictures for below for proof. JWB was worth every penny!

Nice hotel, clean and modern with lots of dining and drinking options. JWB restaurant was well appointed with fresh catch of the day.

We first encountered this hotel when visiting the beach and dining at Landshark. We liked the vibe, it was end of January, so not many kids. We decided to return here based on the Lobby and Landshark experience, but returning in summer meant waaay more kids. If I return it will be at a time when kids are in school. Still, a very nice property with intercoastal bar across the street and some nice boardwalk restaurants as well.

Only complaint about the room was that there is no tub, shower only.

Over all it was a nice stay. A huge problems was that there was a charge on our bill at checkout for the New Years Eve event that I had canceled in person, WITH OVER $500 GRATUITY added to the event that I did not attend. Attempted theft plain and simple. Luckily I had a photo of the hand written note that the man at the hosts desk had written because I didn't trust that it would be done. Your front desk was great, once I showed my "proof" and removed the charge. I have an extremely bitter taste in my mouth over it still.

It is truly paradise..everyone I so nice and food is fabulous. .had a great girls weekend away.something for everyone they even have a kids club

This resort was amazing!!! I wanted to stay forever! The rooms are amazingly huge with a beach feel,, the pools are stunning & refreshing! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Nice location and lovely design. The stream in the shower weak but everything else perfect.

Landshark restaurant did not provide the best service. We waited 45 minutes for our food. The waitress came to us and asked "did they being your food yet?" I looked at the table and said "no?" I guess the manager noticed and comp the appetizer because they brought everything together to us the app and entree. The drinks were disgusting, I ordered a Mojito, all I tasted was club soda and lime. Never eating there again

Great atmosphere. Great place to take the family but also party with friends.

I've stayed in the Hollywood area a few times. I think this resort has been he best so far. Worth every penny. My kids had a blast.

Great place to catch a bite. Enjoy watching the surfing instruction. Prices are what you'd expect. Tasty and good size portions.

Was a long overdue vacation for my husband and myself. Overall our experience was excellent. The 11th floor pool for 21 and over guests was amazing and the service at this pool was outstanding. The only negative during our stay was the service at the margarita restaurant. We had to find a server each time we went there. The server we found, never knew who was taking care of the section we were in, but took our and others orders that were seated in the section.

Great Vacation, great food, great resort. Will be back!
