Apart from the location being great the restaurant prices are well overpriced, the hotel charges you $50 a night for parking your car in the basement... even 5 star hotels provide free parking to their guests
My wife and I booked a short getaway out of the suburbs, and enjoyed the service and the stay here. While the room was a little older than what we expected it to be, it fufilled the basic needs.
Great location. Must have ocean view. Place getting bit dated but if not staying there for room then recommend
The rooms are a little dated but we had great views of the beach
The staff were great, the kids loved the games room.
We stayed with our 2 boys (4&8) and had a great time, the rooms were clean and with the balcony gave us as a family enough room.
The staff were very supportive, though would suggest more of a Child Friendly Menu in both the Restaurant and Room Service.
Just wished it was warm enough to have gone in the pool, which looked inviting though too cold for the boys to go in.
This is a Conference experience review.
- I run Marketing Department for a cybersecurity company and we organised our Kick-Off at Novotel. There were some issues from the beginning as we were quoted for the room that was too small to fit us in the set up we needed for the second part of Conference. At that stage we were dealt with just fine and they offered us a smaller room for the first part of the event and a bigger room for the second part where we needed the set up to be banquet style.
From the beginning I was enquiring why can't we just get into a bigger room. ( The girl called Isabel dealt with me and she wasn't capable to provide me with any reason). I assume it was the cost. They already lost money on having to offer us a bigger room for free. This is all fine but it was still delivered in a pretty confusing way especially...that the first part of our Conference was taking only 1 hour! It simply was making no sense to keep us in a small room for an hour and then in a bigger room for 6 hours!
Anyway, I agreed to it because I assumed money is the issue.
- 24 hours before the event their A/V team called me quite confused because for them it also wasn't making sense to hire the entire A/V set just for 1 hour and they couldn't quite work out was Isabel ( the Event Coordinator meant).
- On the day I arrived at the Conference just to see the big room was already set up for us and technically ready to have the entire Conference there...but Isabel did NOT want to allow us just to move to the big room to simply make it easier for everyone. A/V team and front of them house didn't mind.
Isabel was rude and arrogant also in front of my Conference guests.
Finally, I persuaded her that if the room is ready we just want to start and stay in the big room. Mind you I've never asked to get any money back but she just kept on repeating in a very rude manner that she will charge me anyway.
It was a really unpleasant and unprofessional.
Also a day after I tried to speak to Isabel's Manager to tell her/him about my experience. The Manager wasn't available so I spoke to another very nice lady. Unfortunately, it was on the 24th of January, I was promised to get a call from the Event Manager and no one has contacted me every since...That's why I'm sharing my experience here.
- The room itself was nice.
- For afternoon tea, you really need more food to be served
- Front of the house staff and A/V were nice and professional
- Wi-Fi worked well
I am staying at this hotel for an international study abroad program from the U.S. and I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay thus far. The staff are great and the location is amazing.
We visited the Manly Novotel for a two night stay in September. The location is great, our stay included daily breakfast which was very good & offered everything one could ask for.
Our room was on the side street but not everyone can have water views. The room size was okay but had only the one chair other than a desk chair. The TV was somewhat annoying in its operation but okay.
The hotel is quite dated but overall we had a great few days & we hope to return. We live in Sydney so the ferry trip there was very pleasant.
The hotel decor is getting tired but the staff were great, and the breakfast was great.
This was a greta place for a charity event to watch the Melbourne Cup

I had a great experience at the Novotel. Great location and really friendly staff especially a young girl called Cate she really took time to help me and check in every day of my stay.
I was booked to stay in an ocean room last Saturday night, I8 May. I was not allocated the room I paid for - booked through Travogo On 28/4, before the election was announced. The invoice was issued through a company called AMOMO. com. I paid $382.94 for a room at the back of the hotel. as I was so upset, I went home on Sat night. I hope this review makes it on to the website. I had a a dreadfully disappointing experience at this hotel.
Across the road from the beach, nice and close to the Corso. Staff are friendly, service is good and rooms are clean.

We enjoyed the stay, as the kids enjoyed a dip in the pool, which has a beautiful view from the roof of the Hotel. The Hotel was clean & all staff were friendly & helpful. The buffet breakfast in the morning was fantastic, as there was a huge variety to choose from. Only issue was we requested a sofa bed for our child & that was not supplied, we even double checked at check in, but still nothing had arrived or was communicated to us. So our child had to sleep with us.

The best hotel in Manly easily, the Sebel is so old compared to the Novatel. The staff are brilliant here too and couldn't do enough to accommodate us with the babies.
We stay reasonably often at the Novatel in Manly as we love the location. This time we were attending a wedding in the area so we decided to make a long weekend of it. The staff were of great assistance even before we arrived in providing my wife with information so that she could book into hairdressers near the hotel on the morning of the wedding. When it came time to head off to the wedding, staff booked a cab for us - but presumably because to the short trip, no cabs turned up. Seeing our frustration, and with my wife getting very upset, the duty assistant manager, Chrissy, took action and drove us to the reception in her own car. This was well and truly beyond our expectations but was greatly appreciated, and our day and evening went very smoothly from there. Thank you so much Chrissy - you made it a special stay for us.
Food reasonably priced and reasonable quality. Go on one of their specials nights if it is food that you want.

Worst hotel I've ever been to.Dirty rooms and the shower floods if your in it for more than 2 minutes. Bed bugs in my bed and in carpet and don't waste you money on the extremely overpriced internet because it doesn't work and it was so not worth the amount I paid.worst experience ever.

Welcome staff fantastic. Daughters 12y birthday balloons in room, a choc. Box and birthday messages. Room quiet, mattresses firm but heavenly. Very clean room. Smorgasborg breakfast quality and quantity, even had take away coffee. Children loved dinner in Japanese restaurant in booth at rear, food was for all tastes. Fresh seafood, raw and other, but try cooked noodles steak, tender and flavoursome. Music a bit loud, however played our old 80s songs very enjoyable. Loved the location will be back again

A great stay all around. Location can't be beaten and the hotel is exactly what you expect from a Novotel - first rate. The staff could not do enough to help not matter what the request. Facilities are excellent. I traveled for business but am now planning a family holiday
Kristy Friend and the reception team were outstanding. From the moment of contact with the initial booking to check in and the little surprises during the afternoon, we were overwhelmed by how much Kristy did for us to make my daughters 13th birthday "slumber party" that bit more memorable. Balloons and streamers, a gorgeous afternoon tea and the happy birthday messages from the Novotel staff were thoughtful and special. My daughter was overwhelmed with love and attention - thank you so much!
Lovely and thoughtful. They provide free cold drinking water to everyone, plenty of activities for kids in the lobby. The area is always clean and the staff are always smiling.

We thought the room was average for what was paid. We ordered room service dessert one night, and it never arrived. The order went to reception as room service number didn't pick up, and it never arrived, we fell asleep waiting. This was disappointing. Also thought the car parking pricing was exorbitant.
Ending 2020 with possibly the worst table service I have ever seen. Waited over 2 hours for our food and I am currently writing this out of starvation.

The hotel is nice, but getting a bit dated. Service is good, staff are friendly, room service is very prompt. The ocean view rooms are great simply because of the view but some of the rear facing rooms have limited views and small windows.
Don t know why the reviews were so good here. Apart from the location, which was directly off Manly beach, and also them offering early check in, I thought this place was well and truly overpriced for what we paid for. $500 per night for a room that was very dirty and run down. Only good thing was fresh linen, but that is expected at any place you rent accomodation. It was clearly dirty from all the beach goers and parties there. The music was also so loud, it went on until about 3-4am from the bar downstairs. Carpet had stains and heading into the lobby on our floor there were marks and sand everywhere. It wasn t a bad stay, but not very good for $500 per night. We booked the ocean view room and would not recommend this place.
Check-in/check-out was quick and easy. Room was clesn and tidy. Concierge didnt order my taxi on time and I ended up hailing one down 30 mins later. Arrived at 10.20am for breakfast but they were hesitant to let me in and wouldnt make me a coffee. Chef made an excellent omlette and was extremely polite. Previous trips have been better.

Lovely room with a perfect view. Balcony was a plus. Comfortable bed although the bath was quite tiny.
Originally booked for one night but we enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed for a second. Room was comfortable and sunny with plenty of room. Reception was fantastic and our room was ready early.
We shared the fisherman's basket for lunch but could not eat it all. We returned for dinner but was still full from lunch and chose something light but still nice. Breakfast on both days was also fantastic.
This is our second visit to the Novotel at Manly and it was as good as the first.
All good but annoyed when I couldn't get cricket on 507 and my mini bar wasn't restocked each day. Staff lovely.
You can t beat the location but Novotel Manly definitely needs some updating.
Novotel is my preffered Hotel as the service is always off the meter, above and beyond.
After the loss of a family member recently all the hotel staff went above the call of duty to make me feel welcome, actually I would go as far as to say Novotel Sydney Manly Pacific is my 2nd home.
The beachside location is beautiful, hearing the waves crashing on the beach every day is an experience to be had.
Food was excellent and fresh everyday, housekeeping was immaculate, the beds were as comfortable as my Sealy Posturepedic
This hotel is a great place to stay and it's just in front of the manly beach. We were expecting bit more modern look to the room, compared other novotel hotels we visited.
The lady that signed us in was lovely. The decor was looking a bit drab and dated, although everything seemed clean. Finding our room was really confusing, it was like a rabbit warren and although it didn't bother us too much it was just a really, really weird. Unfortunately at 1am in the morning there seemed to be a group of drunks singing and shouting just outside our window... but I suppose that's Manly. Maybe complimentary earplugs or a white noise machine next time!
The location of this hotel is really good. Unfortunately that's the only plus. We checked in at 2pm on the dot on a Saturday, and was told there was no more parking available. We had to park about a 5 minute walk away and it cost $68 from 2pm till 10am the next morning. The room was dated and loud at night from street noise. There was minimum effort taken with covid safety. Room need a paint job. Would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel was in a fantastic position with great views of Manly. It is a little dated and the paint in our room was peeling. The concierge desk was often unmanned which was disappointing, however the staff in reception were great. A mixed bag all in all,but the location is superb

Love this hotel! Excellent service and great accessibility. Such a pretty ocean view! Love the pancake machine at breakfast!! The hotel is amply located at the centre of Manly Beach life! The restaurants nearby are all amazing and with a wide variety, you will not go hungry! An ideal holiday spot!
I am so disappointed in what I arrived to!! I booked a deluxe room with a view!! What I got was a deluxe room with a view of the school yard with teachers on loud speakers. Wow 5 days of bliss NOT!!! Never again a total waste of nearly $1600 dollars.
We were in on Friday and out on Sunday. very efficient check in, the young man at the bar was really good, giving us time to read the menu but keeping an eye on us so we did not have to wait to order. The room was lovely, room 703, but there is some mechanical noise, sounded like a bearing needed replacing on a piece of equipment above. We had breakfast, lovely food and great staff, my wife's omelette was delicious. Dinner was the taste of Sri Lanka, fantastic, well done to all, a great night. Check out was a breeze, parked the car, the guys were VERY busy but I was on my way in minutes. My next Novotel stay will probably be back in Manly. :).
The hotel is a great venue .. the facilities are in excelent condition . The location is the best ( water front ) . Staff is professional and friendly , even when u are not a guess .

Great location. I wish I could say I enjoyed my stay. But paying 300+ per night for outdated accommodation with a window that wouldn't close and bathroom door broken. Everything was damp, can't change air con temp and 3rd floor smells like urine when you get out of the elevator. Ridiculous parking at 50 bucks per night. Pillows were outstanding though. Having said that, Manly beach was amazing as ever.
Great location but is in serious need of a refurbishment. Rooms are not very well acoustically sealed and corridor noise can be quite loud so would suggest getting room as far from lifts as possible. Like I say great location, great helpful staff but owners need to seriously invest in upgrading the property and inclusions.
