We have stayed here a few times and this time was good except that we found water all over the bathroom floor soon after we arrived.. The leak was fixed promptly but took an hour which meant we could not get into the bathroom before going out for the evening.
The rest of the time was fine and up to our expectations.
I do not like having to pay the full price prior to our stay. Surely a credit card number is sufficient to ensure we will pay as we are accor members.

A very comfortable pleasant stay in a lovely room. As An Accor Club member I appreciated the upgraded room. The staff were most accommodating even though we had a couple of misunderstandings regarding booking the second evening and overcharging for carparking. All was resolvevd pleasantly.

As said above, overall the stay for 10 days was excellent with delightful staff and conditions. The only problem experienced is the old fashioned bathroom with the shower over the bath, both slippery and awkward particularly as one ages and especially after major back surgery. The lighting in the bathroom was quite dull making shaving and makeup tasks somewhat a matter of guesswork. Otherwise, delightful.

The Hotel is of a good standard and ambience yet what really makes it stand out the most are the staff, it's obvious there is a great friendly culture here representative of Sydney's northern beaches. The views and location are also fantastic, a much more recommended stay than any city hotel, catching the ferry to Sydney was great and so much more to see and do around Manly with a great selection of dining quite close. 5 stars for this hotel right on the beach frontage! Thanks

The mattress was so uncomfortable, the springs made noises whenever I moved and I ended up with a very sore back. The pillows were also terrible. I had hardly no sleep and considering it was $309 for 1 night and most of the time was spent lying on the bed I was extremely unhappy. The wait to get in the lift was also ridiculous. Also, had trouble turning on the lights in the bathroom in the middle of the night without turning on entire room and waking my husband. I used the touch on my phone when I went to the bathroom. Parking extremely over priced aswell. Reception staff nice.

Very tired hotel. Was given a room in the 'courtyard' area. Lots of overnight noise from what must have been function or night club nearby. Room did not have balcony like I could see on most other rooms and zero view. I am sure I paid the full amount for a normal room and feel was given the 'overflow' room. Parking $50 per night for overpacked self park carpark. Amenities missing in the room and dirty bath towel. Really hard to say a good word about the place apart from convenient location. I am sure there is better value elsewhere.

Nice hotel good room efficient check in staff great location.
Could do with an upgrade.
Good food in the restaurant but unproffessional service from what seemed to be untrained backpakers working there.
Orders forgotten, and have to remind staff on numerous occasions.

Great location being that's it directly opposite Manly beach. We had lunch at Zalis which was nice. I would rate my meal a 3 out of 5. We are an Accor Club member which entitles us to concessions for our meals. We plan to have an overnight stay here one day in the future as the rooms look like they'd have an amazing view to the beach

Beautiful spot good staff. It's just the little things u need to improve u arranged flowers it was done very well. We asked for a vase it didn't come we asked 4 milk it didn't come
when passing reception asked again it was then done but the paper was just left on the bed I was horrified at 360 dollars per night this is no good
For me ur competition is hotels in Asia I know you can't compete on price but service is something u can compete on this is were the difference should be

it's all about the guest leaving your hotel and say that was a good experience will come and stay again in my case maybe

A decent hotel, overall. The staff are exceptional in looking after guests; however, the halls (especially wall paper and carpeting) could use a renovation. Four stars, though, for the rooftop pool and the stellar location, right across from Manly Beach.

This economical hotel is in fabulous location overlooking Manly Beach. Great views from the upper floors. It's within close walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants, the ferries, transport and of course the beach. It's great for a weekend away in Sydney.

Excellent location opposite Manly beach and close ...

Excellent location opposite Manly beach and close to the ferry. Surrounded by many restaurants. Very nice and clean. The staff were all so polite and welcoming. The only down side was that it was 40 plus degrees and the air-con in the room couldn t keep up, went for a swim anyway. Apart from that, everything else was top shelf!

On Manly Beach, close to shops and cafes/eateries, secure underground parking. Friendly staff and service, all the usual amenities. rooms are a bit dated and could use some minor upkeep here and there. All in all a overall positive experience 4.5 out of 5!

My stay at Novotel, Manly was amazing. The employees were all incredibly friendly and helpful. I was able to extend my check out time and also indulge in a gourmet buffet breakfast which was extremely yummy. I have no complaints about my stay at Novotel.

Quite a bit of confusion around our multiple rooms booking and breakfast. Multiple phone calls between restaurant and front desk most days.
Also having the restaurant close early whilst we had a table of 15 with significant credit to be used up was inconvenient especially as there were still several tables in the restaurant enjoying post meal beverages.

Worst experience ever.the very first thing is that staff is extremely rude. We booked room which costed us 16K-18K ( which was the 2nd top room available there) per night and out of 4 nights, 3 nights AC was not working. On the 2nd night we requested finally to look into it and when we stared blasting over them then only they took the decision to change our room. The changed room had a broken tap with continuously running water.
Not a single change on the breakfast menu for 4 days it was same. Also there were flees on the food( I captured the picture too)
The waiters were so irresponsible that when I asked to add sugar/milk on coffee they felt offended and told me to add by my own.
NEVER EVER GO THERE.

Great hotel-the staff are AMAZING, rooms are so modern and clean, and that view!
We upgraded our stay with the family movie and room service option, which meant we didn't have to worry about taking kids out on Saturday night, which was so relaxing!
The breakfast in Zali's was delicious with so many options to choose from, and great coffee too.
The lovely girls at reception even gave us a late check-out so that the kids could have some extra time after their surf lesson with Manly Surf School to shower and get ready before driving home. We will definitely be coming back to The Novotel Manly (I've made it pretty clear to the hubby what to get me for my birthday)!!

A little dated but in a great location. A short 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal, and just around the corner from the Corso. Great views over to the beach if you are lucky enough to get a room facing that way.

The staff & the Resort is fantastic. My wifes friend had organised a girls weekend but booked other accommodation in Manly which was terrible. I rang Novotel and they couldn't be more helpful in making rooms available. Even had a Birthday pack made up for my wifes friend. Highly recommend them

Old and shabby and dirty/ the sitting chair in our room looked like it had been picked up from the junk yard /the breakfast buffet was good and location is fine /very noisy though/ most staff are unfriendly/ your just not appreciated as a guest and given the price of staying there you really should be treated a bit nicer

I like to stay in Manly when visiting Sydney as it...

I like to stay in Manly when visiting Sydney as it is so easy to get the Airport Train to Circuiar Quay, walk a few meters to get on either of the two Manly Ferry Services and it so relaxing to start the trip with a boat ride on Sydney Harbour. when you disembark it is literally just a 5 to 7min walk to Novotel. This is the first time I have stayed at the Novotel as normally I stay in serviced apartments. This is the only full service Hotel in Manly so offers room service. It has great free wifi for guests and check in is 24 hours. It has a gym albeit a public gym with free access for Hotel guests. It also has a coin operated laundry which is a bonus when staying >3days. The breakfast buffet was very good and kids under 16, eat free when with a paying adult. Only ate in the restaurant for dinner once and was a bit underwhelmed but at least they had a restaurant as the weather was awful outside. There is another restaurant annexed to the hotel, Daniel San. I did not eat there but it seemed popular. The rooms and sliding glass doors are well soundproofed which was good as the surf was up when we were there and the surf noise when ranch-slider was open, was very very loud. It was a delight to "quietly" sit in the room and watch some of the amazing surfing action happening at the time. The bathroom is a generous dimension so you can easily get dressed in there, if you need the extra privacy. I had to buy coffee bags, as they only provide Nescafe instant coffee. Jess on reception did a great job of helping me get my sons shoes back that he forgot to pack. However rating them a 2 star as I was bitten on the 2nd night. I should have bought it to their attention as if I look at photos and symptom descriptions the match those for a bed bug bite. My son, did not get bitten , he slept in the other bed. I stayed in room 320. View of the Ocean. I stayed 5 nights. ..I did not get any cost recognition for the extended period and they did not change my sheets once, which I didn't notice till too late. No slippers or Robes are provided. There was a bit of mould on the bathroom floor tiles and a few patches in the shower over bath. They don't provide complimentary water . The bar staff in the foyer were not very attentive so I had to always go to the bar to order. So my overall experience was well below par for a hotel which cost me an average of $AUD390/night.
