We chose Manic Monsters for my brothers first ever...

We chose Manic Monsters for my brothers first ever birthday party (8yrs) and all was fine when we turned up. All friendly, not too busy. Throughout the afternoon, there were a few hiccups, but we just put it down to kids being kids! They all had dinner, and went back into the play pen. It was at this stage it turned sour... a child came running out with blood quite literally pouring from its nose / mouth, and screaming. He'd been beaten quite savagely. But THEN two 'mums', if you can call them that, started throwing each other over the floor, knocking kids over, screaming foul abuse. They were out of control. The staff did nothing except stand there and watch. We had already complained about their kids twice! They did nothing. One of our mum's had to get in the middle of the two 'mums' to stop them knocking kids over. The police were called and the two 'mums' took things outside, but their screaming, shaking terrified kids were left inside for US to deal with. The staff did not bat an eyelid. We had to ask them to comfort the children because we wanted to leave before things escalated further. This place needs capable staff, compassionate staff because this is a place for CHILDREN and they showed no capability of being responsible for kids in their care. I'm disgusted. I am 20 and honestly I was terrified, so can you imagine how those little kids felt?! The worst experience I've ever had anywhere, not because there was an altercation, but because the staff did nothing to appease the situation / make us feel safe. I will never let my little brother go back there.

If you live a 30 minute drive away, call ahead to see if the place is at full capacity, and check to see if there is parking available. Make sure your drive to the place isn't in vain.

The last two or three times I have taken my daughter here, the place truly has been "manic". The tables, if you can even get one, are often sticky, and the chairs have food smudged on them.

Today the place was full to the brim with people, and hordes of parents and children continued to swarm in. Not enough tables and seating.

And of course there's the non surprising rule about only consuming food that's purchased on the premise. I ordered a sandwich and chips, and it arrived 30 minutes later. Huge queue of customers and one young woman taking orders and working the till. No wonder I usually stash snacks in my bag for my ravenous child when going there.

The benefit to visiting Manic Monsters is it seems to have a larger capacity than Crawley's Treasure Chest. And I like the way toddlers and 5-year-olds have different areas in which to play (unlike Treasure Chest). And it's cheaper, minus the pretty drive in the countryside to get there.

Manic Monsters always seems understaffed. It look us 5 minutes to be able to leave, since the poor woman booking people in seemed inundated and couldn't turn around to let us out.

I've made a decision not to go back, ever. Life is just too short.

Attended a party here today..Far too many people already inside dispite a party booking of 29 turning up. No where to park.
Party area not ready as party before still using it and continued to use the space for a further 1 hour dispite our party waiting for the area . Food was ok although the cake and biscuit came out far too late after the hot food so kids had either gone back to play or left already. Really disappointed today as feel it was all about how much money could be made on the day. Been to loads of previous parties here and never encountered these issues before.

Kids loved it but it was pretty grubby. Inches of dirt and dust in corners etc. Makes you worry about kitchen cleanliness (even though they have 5 stars) when there is so much dirt. The red pillars next to where I sat were filthy. Needs a deep clean.

I think its great for the kids, I have a 7 year old and a 2 year old. They both have plenty of play time together and by themselves, naturally I stay with my 2year old all the time but she has shed loads of fun as does my 7yr old. Plenty of stuff to do, this place is pretty big. Ive been to a few othet places and I think this is the best of them. Its entry fee is very reasonable the toilets have always been clean when I've gone and they have a good food selection if you decide to have a snack with the little ones. I travel about 15miles to get here as I love the drive there and I think its better value and cleaner than the ones in my area.
Have fun! :)

I don't know if I will ever understand why adults have to pay to get in here, it's not like I'm going to get on the equipment. I am, however, going to pay extortionate prices for mediocre food and drink. Don't think you can get away with More

Good place to take children when weather is bad. Large areas for both older kids and younger kids. Our 2 year old had a good time. Some rides cost additional money. Surprisingly large menu for cafe with various options. Very full car park.

Entry and food are very expensive compared to other soft plays we've been to, although the food selection is better. The car park was packed when we arrived so had to wait a while for a space. The soft play itself is fine - not the best or the worst I've seen. They have a child's toilet in the ladies, which is a nice touch (although the toilets could do with a decent clean).

My daughter had her birthday party here on a Sunday and it was great fun. The adults had refreshments whilst the children went of and played. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was pleasant and the place was very clean. Will return and reccomend!

Very clean compared to other places we've been, good variety of food available, good coffee, very friendly manager, and plenty of staff to help out and answer questions. Loyalty scheme available, and more than enough to keep little ones engaged. Our young twins played for nearly the full two-hour stay, and slept like logs after their lunch. Great time had by all. Highly recommended.

Soft play is good. The service however leaves a lot to be desired, a few real gems in the staff, however most of them are simply there to tick a box. They will all walk past a table that is dirty and not think to clean it. They seem more More

Great play area for kids. Separate area for babies and toddlers. VERY fast slide. Football area and also trikes. Plenty of seating. Cafe. Fairly big car park. And the main thing- safe and secure....no escape for the little ones.

Absolutely brilliant fun for my 2 year old son. He was allowed in both sections and tried everything out. The food was much better than many other soft play centres. We will be back even though it s a bit of a drive for us.

Fabulous soft play, easy parking- good food (we had hummus and avocado wrap with sweet potato fries- divine!!) Coffee was not amazing but enough caffeine to keep you going. Our little one was 8 months and enjoyed the under 5 section, albeit I think she will enjoy it more when she is older.

Great time with the little ones. Very chilled vibe, no over management, the staff let the kids do their thing. Food options are surprisingly good! We had an avocado and hummus wrap and the kids had boxed lunches. Lots of healthy options. Not crowded. Our little ones generally hate soft play so we took a risk and went here and they had a great time. Noise level was good. Not a lot of screaming or manic children.

Came here on the way back from dropping my sister at Gatwick. It's s great place. I have a (small) 4 year old and 1 year old so the toddler area was perfect for them. We did the bigger area a few times but the small one did struggle (rightly!). Ball and car areas are brilliant. Cafe was good too for a second breakfast. We will definitely come back (we live in Tunbridge Wells)

Fantastic place for kids to play and party. We were at a 5 year olds party including laser shooting and my daughter loved it . A great way to tire your kids out. We then moved into a small room for food and cake etc. Food was basic nuggets/fishfingers/pizza/sausages with chips plus a few carrot/cucumber sticks. This was where Manic Monsters lost a star. The chips were cold and a bit raw and I had to ask for the blackcurrant or orange squash as the kids were gasping for a drink having been charging about for 90 mins !! Still a great way to have a kids party, but maybe just brush up on the obvious things. Recommended venue.

used to get into some great scraps down here back in my day, everything was chill till you had someone's older brother chasing you through the ball pit because you stole their little sisters go kart. I left manic monsters having 23 fights and my record was 22-0-1 lost to sams older brother but gave sam a good hiding on the slides.

I went with my 1.75 year old the other day and had a great couple of hours. He loved it, and even though there's a small kids area he enjoyed exploring the bigger kids areas too.

We were there at a particularly off peak time so it wasn't too busy and there was plenty of space. During peak times however I can imagine it's total chaos!

One thing I would like to see is some more staff presence. Other than at the entry gate I essentially didn't see any. Yes there are all the usual disclaimers around saying your kids are your responsibility, which they are and I totally accept that. However, when you're in the small kids area (which is recommended for under fives) and there are clearly some much bigger and very excitable 10 year olds smashing around, it would be nice for an official to be there to remove them. There were a few close calls between toddlers and much larger kids which surely is why there are two separate areas to start with...

Overall tough it was great fun and we'll definitely go back.

Been here twice this year and was great on both occasions. The second visit which was today was for my 5 year olds birthday party. The service was very good and the kids all enjoyed it. They got an hour and a half play and then they eat for half an hour in the party room. There was a total of 10 kids and they all really had a good time. The staff are friendly and helpful, unfortunately we did not spot the girl who was assisting with our party on the way out to thank her but hopefully if this review is read she will know that myself and my wife really appreciated her help. The kids had a choice for the food, just the usual nuggets, sausages and pizza combinations with chips. This is all the kids really wanted anyway. We also ordered some sandwiches for the adults too. The food overall from the menu is also very good surprisingly for a soft play with a wide variety of choice and also of fairly good quality. The soft play is big and with lots of places for the kids to go, a large 4 lane slide and multiple other slides too. The adults are also allowed on too, I did have a lot of fun as other places I have visited dont allow the adults so pretty great to actually play with my daughter on here. Had a real laugh and was pretty tired at the end. Overall it's a really great place for the kids to have a good time with food also to choose from off the menu at a reasonable price. Just go.

I ve been to this place once.
I took my son to attend his friend s birthday party, it was a Laser Tag game.
I d not seen something like this since I was a child, it was great.
The young staff were very well trained and kept the kids attention and happy.
The food was good and the drinks a plenty.
After a few goes, they asked if any parents wanted to have a go we of course said YES!
Great fun with loads to do.
The Laser Tag was held in part of the soft play multi floored area.
They also had other things to do in the warehouse and plenty of seating with tables.
The seating is well spaced so as not to have kids banging into you while running around.

They do nice coffee and I believe they offer free Wifi.

There is plenty of parking and it s pretty easy to find.

I d recommend this place.

Wonderful soft play place to take the grandchildren. We paid for 3 hours wondering if we would stay that long but actually stopped for 4. Food is very acceptable, but be warned there are plenty of other things to entice children to want more money spending.
