Disgraceful service. Somehow managed to mess up all of my contracts. Provided suppliers with the wrong emails and supply addresses. Cant get through to anyone in their customer service department. Wouldn't bother you'll spend more time on the phone than you could ever save.

Cut me off twice when trying to get a quote, then asked me too many questions before even trying to put me through to the right person, only to find that they can't even offer the cover I need.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!!! These are an unscrupulous company who are hell bent on stitching you up. Their form of high pressure selling should be illegal and they don t care about you when they have you. I feel I've been mugged.
We signed up with them and the first time they gave us excellent rates for our business for both gas and electricity. They mentioned that they promise to get us the best rates in the future. The second time, we did not check (our fault), as we trusted them, but they signed us up on an expensive deal with the supplier and when I contacted the same supplier, they were offering us cheaper rates. I called them and they said nothing can be done as you are already locked in for 3 years. I have given them notice for not dealing with any of our future contracts. So Everyone beware with these Energy companies offering middleman services. Best is to talk direct to the companies. They offer cheaper rates.

They should be called 'make it more expensive'. My compliant was also brushed aside, saying 'you agreed to it', full stop. Rather than accepting that their advice was bad.
Avoid this company like the plague. I do not usually do reviews however, feel I must on this occasion. They pressure sell. Harass with multiple phone calls. When you block their number, they ring from another. I requested the recordings of the calls as a subject access request and they sent me someone else's telephone conversations. A complete data breech. AVOID. Protect yourself. Save yourself the hassle.
They took my bank details when I was collecting quotes, which I really didn't want to give but felt pressurised. They said they wouldn't do anything with them, it would just save time if I went back to them. I then wrote them an email to say I had gone elsewhere. A few days later I got an "email welcome" from the finance company and when I logged onto my bank I saw that 2 payments had been taken from my account on the same day. Make It Cheaper acknowledged 1 of them but said they didn't believe there were 2. I passed the matter to my bank. I have just had both payments recredited. Do not give this company your bank details when you are asking them to quote.
Very unpleasant experience that caused a lot of stress, I had to go direct to the energy supplier after MIC refused to answer my calls and renewed my contract without my permission and then lied about the prices. Thank you EDF for getting me out of it!!

Terrible company - certainly the worst I have ever dealt with. If it was just one thing that would be fine, but it's not... It's everything. Their sales assistants are unprofessional, pushy and uncaring. They act with impunity, having transferred us to a deal without our authorisation. They're totally unable or unwilling to resolve complaints comprehensively. And they're not even "the cheapest". Add to that the fact that, despite telling them years ago to leave me alone they continue to pester me come "renewal time" - I can honestly say beware ever contacting them, even if it's just to check your rates... No doubt they'll end up tying you in to something you never requested. #buyerbeware!!!
The best thing is the continual tracking of prices at end of contract....no more worries about price hike by existing supplier.
I have used a few switching services for my business before and have seen the benefit but Make It Cheaper have definitely raised the bar in terms of customer service and ease of switching. I signed up for the do it for you service so I won't ever have to worry about it again (although I wouldn't mind with Make It Cheaper). Hats off to Lee who was a pleasure to deal with.

Very poor price comparisons you can do much better yourself. I was also signed up for a three year agreement which I had refused in writing when it was originally offered. I am now having trouble getting them to cancel the contract. Phone calls not returned etc etc
AVOID AT ALL COST! they moved my account without telling me even managed to do this after I had revoked their power as my broker - not only that they've made it MORE EXPENSIVE... I can see they are now also trading as 'Bionic' so avoid them as well ... you're much better off negotiating your own rate, or just choosing a standard tariff it'll be cheaper!

Make It Cheaper have always been very helpful, with very knowledgeable advisors who talk you through the best deals and the whole process with much clarity. Great to have a team like this watching our backs to secure better utility bills!
We were signed onto multi-year broadband and phone contracts at 2 sites with false promises of minimum guaranteed speeds. Actual broadband speeds were not even close to what was promised to us. We hadn t had computers installed by that time so didn t notice broadband issues until after we were locked into multi-year contracts. Upon realizing the problem, I contacted the Make It Cheaper team. I was advised to work with the provider technical team to resolve the issues, but even the provider confirmed that Make It Cheaper had signed us up with false information. After a lot of back and forth with Make It Cheaper, one site was sorted, but 2nd one still without proper broadband speed. Sever months later with over 30 emails and 20 calls, no resolution in sight . Each time a new excuse and same suggestion that it is still being looked into by Make It Cheaper telecoms team. This fiasco has already spanned several months: First Make It Cheaper said that there was no other broadband offering such as fiber to improve speeds and that they would look into it once fiber became available in the area. In May 2019, I followed up and I was told that fiber was still not available in that area, I submitted evidence that fiber was available and that BT was offering fiber broadband I was sent confirmation End of May that an upgrade was being setup, but no progress at all I followed-up again and after multiple-calls, now Make It Cheaper is asking me to sign-up a new contract for another 2 years or 3 years at a much higher price now. At the same time they wouldn t commit to taking care of the price difference. There is no escalation process, I have requested to speak to a supervisor and management team multiple times, but same first line customer service team with standard answer that it is being looked into by the telecoms team. I don t doubt the sincerity of the customer service team members, but it seems that it is the company culture and attitude towards not taking the ownership and helping their customers! Make it cheaper ...... more like Make it more Expensive ! Stay well clear of these guys unless you meticulously absorb the contract. We had an initial contract through these guys at a very good rate with Gazprom for 2 years. 2 months before the end of the contract I got some quotes and had better quotes elsewhere so went to give notice on my contract. I was then told I could not because Make it Cheaper had locked me in 6 months before termination date for a further 3 year contract at a much worse rate than I had previously and out there in the market ! I still have not had this issue resolved after 2 months........

Great customer service from Make it Cheaper. As a buisness customer they have saved me thousands cumulatively. My sales rep Kianni Brown has been outstanding, he is cheery and explains the whole process perfectly and took all the effort out of me as the customer. 5 stars would highly recommend.

The worst service I ever got. "Make It Cheaper" just made my electricity bill "Make it Expensive". They provided me with an electricity provider and my electricity bill went up by 35%. After calling all they can say it "You have signed a contract that cannot be cancelled so we can't help you".
They helped me switching my business energy and it really made a difference in my monthly electricity bills. I'm happy to recommend them.
Make it cheaper/Bionic keep renewing my energy contracts against my wishes. I have been very clear in writing and over the phone that I do not wish to sign up to another electricity contract via their broker service. They have ignored my wishes and signed me up with EDF. Their sales team are also very pushy; they repeatedly call and will not take no for an answer.
Really pleasant experience working with them for the last few years. Extremely straight forward process which removed all the chore from utility contracts that I used to have.
Did an antomatic renewal from a document I signed back in 2018. I have been furloughed and I have also not received any emails from them telling me prices etc. Have switched me to a 2 year contract and now I am paying more. Really unhappy and now report to the regulator and the Martin Lewis money programme.

Avoid this company and website at all costs... They get you on an auto sign up after your contract ends called "Do it for you" contract, which i didn't notice at the time, (my fault, always check carefully). I got a renewal notice from Opus giving me details of my new three year contract, the rates were atrocious and would have cost us thousands over the three year period as we have quite high usage. Luckily I got the contract rescinded as I hadn't received any email or contact from Make it Cheaper / also known as Bionic. I went direct and got for a fraction of the price but everywhere I'd looked was cheaper than the contract I was unaware I'd signed up for. A very lucky escape. Clearly reading the reviews and talking to providers this is something they are well known for..
Total scam. Avoid there auto renew feature like the plague. Will renew on a much longer and more expensive contract than originally arranged without even asking.
One of the best customer service received. Very polite and professional service. Best price and easy to switch,everything done on the spot, signing the contract, does exactly what they say. My advisor was Berry oben he was so friendly did not make me feel i was just a customer, it was like Iam talking to my friend.

An absolute pushy pest of a salesman/company. They keep cold calling despite me having firmly said if I want to use them I will call them. They have all the details wrong and basically don t have a clue how to run a professional company. Will definitely not be giving them my business for this reason as well as having seen all the other abysmal reviews online.

Absolutely disgusting service - have tied me into another 3 year contract i have not agreed to 6 months before its due in july- spoke to a very unhelpful lady on the phone asked to be put onto a manager to escalate and discuss just outright refused to put me through. What kind of service is this??? Avoid this company like the plaque i will advise and warn everyone. Terrible terrible service and sneaking into a contract that they do this and not make it clear to you. And they send by an email apparently before hand to give you notice if you do not respond by the end of the month you are tied in - which i did not even recieve. then its tough. Awful!!!!

Was not made aware at the time of signing up that they "auto-renew" your contract and do so 5 MONTHS before your current contract even expires. Despite the alluring name they actually "MAKE IT MORE EXPENSIVE" on the renewal. Tried to call the number on the e-mail they sent outlining the expensive renewal rates and the line rings twice , goes to music for 5 seconds and then drops the call! Finally got through by calling in a different "sales" number and asking to be transferred to customer services 3 days later and was informed that I've missed the cooling off period!! Asked to speak to a manager to express my frustration with the under-hand procedures and the fact the phone system conveniently drops the calls and was informed that "speaking to a manager is not possible, it's not part of our system" which is reassuring! To be fair the managers are probably all nervous wrecks having to account for the dodgy practises employed by these jokers. And please don't respond as per the other complaints here , saying your "going to look into it and contact me about it etc" that counts for nothing after the fact. Basic customer service is all that is required in the first instance.

Cold calling is an outdated marketing practice, and not removing people's details from your system after they request so is just plain illegal under new GDPR laws.
*Beware* of the hidden automatic renewal service under "agree new prices" within the letter of authority to deal with your energy suppliers, which I assumed as per previous letters of authority elsewhere would require my permission on each contract. Only discovered this when I tried to pursue a new contract in excess of 2 months before renewal to find I'd been locked in at a more expensive and longer contract some 5 months before renewal. Will see how I get on referring to the ombudsmen after receiving complete dismissal of my complaint from makeitcheaper. *EDIT* The response is that of confirming "you're stuck in the automatic renewal exactly FIVE MONTHS before renewal and that it is enforceable. I shall pursue with the ombudsmen and update accordingly for those in the same situation"
This company is the worst under the sun. Very unreliable and unethical. They signed me into a dubious company called BRITISH GAS LITE which bill me exorbitantly. Far more than my previous supplier. PLEASE DON'T BE DECEIVED LIKE ME, British Gas Lite is not BRITISH GAS, they used their emblem to deceive you. Please lets us all report BIONIC and BRITISH GAS LITE to regulators.
