Excellent centrally located Hilton property. Good spacious rooms (for Paris) and good breakfast. Easy to walk to various sights. The fitness room is just that a room with a rowing machine, a running machine and a bench. Not up to much if more than a few people are staining at the hotel.

I had the opportunity to visit the place thanks to the operation "Tous au restaurant" in September 2012 with my lover.
I had chosen it for its exceptional decor steeped in history, inspired by the 1950s and - it seems, the surrealists who would have known it for a while. This is all the satisfaction I was able to derive from this experience, and again, the room was too dark for us to distinguish all the aesthetic change of scenery.
Beyond that, an icy welcome, the impression of being considered as pessimistic (even though the service is not worthy of the place, or the essence of the ridiculous ...) and a dish that completes your recovery in your place: a simple piece of bland white fish (I don't remember the species) without any seasoning, placed on a puddle of ordinary mash. The starter, scrambled eggs with porcini mushrooms, however, testified to a real know-how. But the total absence of decoration gave the whole the impression of a minimum service for the customers of the operation, and reading the other opinions which mark out the web, I sincerely think that this establishment applies a service to the head from the customer, or in our case, to the wallet.
I would add that we were of course quite presentable, we were students and this operation was for us the opportunity to discover a place inaccessible in normal times. Today graduates, Parisians, and in the making - who are moreover still lovers of culinary refinement, we will never set foot in this restaurant again, cooled by this attitude bordering on rudeness and far removed from the initial aim of the operation. , namely sharing a passion for gastronomy and opening its doors to ALL.
King room 609 is TINY. We had luggage for a 15 day trip, and we were stumbling over our belongings in this room. We were able ro move to an accessible room (junior suite) after several days and it made all the difference in the world. Much more space in the bedroom, sitting area and bathroom. This renovated hotel is still in a soft opening, having reopened the doors only a few weeks ago (end of June 2018). There is a small inner courtyard that is pretty, which our king room overlooks (no balcony facing the city). The hallway to our room is only 4 feet wide, which is interesting. They have made the most out of the little bit of real estate that they have. One elevator states a capacity of 6, but only holds two Americans comfortably providing for personal space. The staff here are very helpful and seek feedback to help them improve. Thank you Nadege, Helena, Ricardo, Tarek, and Denis for your excellent service!!
Nice hotel, well situated in Paris 8th, seems have been recently renovated. Breakfast at eur 25 seems expensive for me. The room was nice and clean. Bed is good. Disappointed by the state of the closet and bathroom door. Walls are not well soundproof. Could hear easily the conversation of my neighbors. For me a bit expensive per room (see pictures). But I might come back. The staff is welcoming.
Another very nice surprise that this restaurant nestled in the heart of the Curio by Hilton hotel. The restaurant la maison astor has been given a facelift. Few tables, well thought out spaces. A beautiful and large glass roof and a slightly air-conditioned room. Welcome, quality of service, joviality of the staff, a big thank you to Mr Djamel and his team for this very pleasant moment. A minimalist but quality menu. The original, gourmet and tasty products. Try the smoked beef, a marvel, accompanied by a pomerol lalande (be careful, alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health).
Very nice home. It took a technician to put the heating on ... The control boxes are anything but reliable or intuitive. And the bathroom is not heated. But the room, otherwise, very nice, quiet, and in a typical little street.
The restaurant nestled in a very confidential hotel is an ideal place for a business lunch, with friends or for simple indulgence. Highly sought after dishes with refinement, service worthy of the Hilton reputation. Try, as specified on the menu - boarding, stopover and terminus - you are already on a journey of the senses.
We stayed here for 3 nights. As a Diamond Member you are actually expecting an upgrade or at least a slightly more preferred allocation of rooms with good location. In addition there was a price of 270 euros the night. Of course there was no upgrade. The first room did not correspond to the booked category, the light did not go out (switch defect), in the bathroom one walked directly into shards of broken tiles. After I complained, where you did not even want to respond to me and said it was the booked room, only smaller and without sofa, we were then reluctantly booked to another room, which was ok. The sports room is about 6 square meters in size - it's easy to call it a fitness center. The equipment was poor. The food was really good, morning and evening. The service staff could have been more attentive. Only after many questions we often received our drinks. The service was so if only sufficient. Price and performance in this hotel unfortunately not.
I stayed for 6 days with 3 family members. A compact but very clean hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. When I told the front person that my husband was a birthday, I prepared a cake in the room that day. Thank you very much!
The convenience of transportation was good and it was a little away from the downtown area, so it was an overnight stay on the lower floor, but the noise was not worrisome.
I had a very nice memory. I will use it again next time.
Convenient location, but beware - air conditioning may not be available (seasonal only). Standard rooms are quite small - not unusual for older European hotels, but may not be what Americans expect.
Beautiful hotel with a great and knowledgeable service. The rooms are very spacious and new since the hotel is opened one month ago. The Maison Astor has a perfect location to experience Paris. Interesting fact: it was a home of John Jacob Astor IV who died on Titanic. During the Belle Epoque period he was the richest person in the world.
It has the taste of Paris in rooms, reception Small, clean, tiny, tidy hotel, however the price was very high compared to breakfast available Bread, croissant, chocolate & cheese was perfect but overall break fast variety can be better Staff were helpful however, the bags was waiting to 20 min. To get it down, so I got it down by my self Location is not the nearest to metro / bus station but I have no problem to walk
The meals are served in a beautiful setting and offered by a very pleasant staff and very attentive towards customers. The problem is that the dishes contain a large amount of butter and that it does not suit all stomachs.
I ve stayed in several hotels around the world - from Brazil, Peru, Cape Town, Iceland, Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, California, Malaysia, Singapore, HK, Boston, NYC, Tokyo - and this was the first time in Europe that I stayed in a hotel that had NO AC (airconditioning). What s worse is that I was not informed by the front desk upon check-in. This was not also on the website. When I went to my room, it was hot. I thought the AC was busted. When I called the front desk, that s when they told me about the AC issue. Couldn t believe it.
Because of that issue, I had to leave the window open to let the breeze in. Unfortunately, by having it open, the street noise also could be heard - even the banging of the trash compactor every few hours (I was even wearing earplugs). I had lousy sleep throughout my stay, which I sorely needed since I was tired from my Iceland trip. Sigh.
When we came back at night one time, an envelope was on the desk for a Mr. Romero - who was not me. And because someone from the hotel staff entered the room to deliver that envelope, the Make Up Room signage fell and our room was not cleaned. Good job hotel staff (sarcastic).
I normally don t complain about things like the above but I couldn t help myself. I finally talked to the quality manager who thankfully was accommodating and apologetic. She was able to appease us so thanks to the manager. She was the lone bright spot in this hotel.
One other issue was with my request for 2 laundry bags. I called at 11 PM to request for them, and one hour later, still no bags. So I went down to the front desk only to be told that they had run out of bags and that I should call at 7 AM the next day (when someone from Housekeeping is available). Firstly, I have never encountered a hotel running out of laundry bags and secondly, I wish they had the courtesy to return my call to inform me that they had run out.
Eventually, the next day, I called housekeeping at 8:30 AM and asked for TWO (2) laundry bags. I only got ONE (1). Face palm moment there.
The icing on the cake? When we booked our taxi the night before checking out, we explicitly said that we were heading to Gare du Nord (train station North). The next day, the luggages were loaded in the taxi, and then the concierge asks me what terminal. I reply, No, we are going to Gare du Nord. So the driver then unloads our luggages since he was expecting that our destination was the airport. And the concierge calls for a new taxi. Good thing I had ample time prior to the departure of my train. Another face palm moment there.
There are lapses in this hotel. Maybe they should retrain their staff? In fact, during check-in, the front desk staff didn t guide us throughout the hotel. She did not show us where the restaurant was (or the breakfast times) or even just explain where the fitness center was (isn t that protocal?).
I ve stayed at the Marriott on Hausmann and at the Hilton Opera, and also in one hotel at the Montmartre area.
I WILL NEVER stay here again. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
A shame though because the location of the hotel is good. Near to the shopping of Rue Saint-Honore, and maybe 20 mins walking to the Louvre on one side, and then 30 mins walk to Eiffel. 10 mins to Champs Elysees.
On a side note, the concierge staff was accommodating.
We chose Maison Astor primarily because it was a Hilton property but overall due to its boutique qualities. The staff here was amazing and hospitable. The room, while small (they are in Paris!!), was chic and modern. The bar area was a lovely spot to grab coffee during the day and a cocktail in the evening before heading out to dinner. My favorite detail was the ice cold, fruit-infused water that was available all day in the lobby. This was key in hydrating after a long flight (bring a resuable water bottle to fill up before you wander the streets). The location was near great cafes and readily walkable to all many attractions. We look forward to our next Paris trip and staying here again!
Great hotel to start your work, of course, everything is on the level and you can see what is still going on for improvements, responsible friendly and friendly staff, the rooms are small as well as large, the breakfast is for every taste, the rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable I don t want to go out of it , the curtains cool the lights to drown in sleep, super for going to Paris both for work and rest, thanks to all the staff, and I wish you good luck in the future work of the hotel
Friendly staff and great location. This hotel is on a quiet street but central to the Saint Honore shopping area and walking distance to a ton of landmarks. It's close to a few government buildings and residences so they close off some of the streets now that riots are a concern. The wainscoting is beautiful and it has a nice story as being one of John J Astor's residence before he perished on the Titanic. I would rate this as 4.5 stars if I could because the rooms are very small, unsurprising for Paris.
We rest. As promised, there will be little time for rest in the hotel. Great light breakfast. Service and room cleaning at a good level. Quality free wi-fi. I would say, well, quite a small room. And this is the only small one against the background of the rest minus. The very center is near. Taxi in the center about 10 euros + ask for each passenger from the second to 1 euro, which is basically normal. By the way - centralized air conditioning and absolutely no sound from the air exchanger - I put 5+. The windows face the inner street, quite quiet, open and very clean balconies with flowers, although the balconies are French, i.e. decorative. So, if not confused by the area of the room - come. Recommend.
Great location within walking distance from anywhere in Paris, yet very quiet street. Well appointed but smallish rooms, but that's to be expected for such a prime location. I'd give 5 stars if the gym was slightly better equipped, as they didn't even have a mat for my exercises on the floor.
I had stayed at this hotel a little over a year ago when Hilton first bought it. It was run down at the time but since it was peak season, Hilton kept it open to service the end of the season. They shut it for almost an entire year to do a full remodel, and the results are fantastic. It's really a beautiful boutique hotel, you'd never suspect it even was a Hilton as it has all the charm of a small French boutique. The staff is fantastic and it seems every one of them knows my name as I come and go.
Nice stay in the heart of the shopping district. The lobby is quiet and cool, the receptionists are very friendly but the restaurant lacks a little. The hotel is non-smoking and comes with a winter garden. The style is continental a little heavy but sounds are absorbed in the thick carpets.
We stayed at the Maison Astor for 4 nights. Rooms are decent size, not large but not too small. They recently remodeled, so everything was new but they had a few kinks with the building. The bright spot was the staff. They were the friendliest and most helpful staff of any hotel I've ever stayed in. I never felt so welcome at any hotel. Once they get the remodel completed and everything fixed, this will be a wonderful hotel that I'd recommend to anyone.
A hotel where respect for history and luxury come together. Staff caring, attentive and respectful (small gifts, before bedtime, much appreciated). Beautiful suite, quality bed, breakfast, a lot of choice. Fantastic stay, to redo! Congratulations to the team!
Sadly, this hotel failed to exceed expectations. I had high hopes being that it is a Curio. Staff did not greet us properly upon entering the hotel which set the tone. Perhaps we did not look the part as it s Paris Fashion Week. As a diamond member, I ve been spoiled by exceptional service. This hotel unfortunately does not care about loyalty. Bathrooms weren t cleaned properly which led us to cut our stay short by 2 days.
Stayed here last July 2019 - cute hotel, newly renovated rooms, okay staff but for some reason I was not impressed. I believe it has something to do with the way staff communicates and make you feel welcome, that aspect is missing. Felt everything is transactional.
Location is good, close to local shops and restaurants.
Amazing experience! Peaceful and luxurious ambiance, courteous and friendly staff. Location: walking distance to Opra Garnier and Galeries Lafayette, amazing! Room is great, comfortable bed and super quiet at night. Breakfast is delicious and night bar is super cute and comfy! I would not stay anywhere else! When we come back we definitely stay here again.
This tucked away hotel in the heart of the popular sites gave us a quiet 2 night reprieve from our busy days of tourism. Our balcony king suite had a LR w/fold out sofa bed and separate bedroom with king bed. The terrace was large - both rooms opened onto it. Decor nicely done and updated modern bathroom. Extremely clean. Comfy beds and pillows. High ceilings. Enjoyed the 2 TVs. Great strategy on putting 2 USB charging slots on both sides of the bed. Staff helpful and has connections - got us same day dinner reservations at Le Grande Colbert. Our suite was street side and we had no noise at night, affording us a restful sleep to prepare for the sites to be visited next day. European breakfast buffet was tasty with plenty of hot and cold food options, juice, bakeries, etc. The dining room glass ceiling was unexpected and simply wonderful, allowing sunshine (or precipitation) to be seen and not felt.
Our 27 yr old daughter was traveling with us, totaling 3. When taking that into account, the suite is simply too small for 3 people dragging luggage for a month in Europe. I advise only 2 people for any room at the hotel. At least in our suite, the bathroom sink takes the entire counter space so ladies prepare to keep your toiletries in the closet or bag. The rooms have indirect lighting with none overhead.
I reccomend this hotel for the solo or couple traveler(s) with little luggage and excellent vision. While it wasn't absolutely perfect for us, it should work well for others. I do recommend.
I would like to thank the indoor teams for their welcome, their smile and their kindness. I also thank the kitchen teams who paid special attention to mom for her birthday. I highly recommend this restaurant for the quality of its services, its majestic setting with the crystal chandelier that overlooks the room and its competent and generous teams. Many thanks to Maison Astor Paris A client from the 60's and her mom
Pathetic, the airconditioning was not working, hotel staff charged me the breakfast although i did'nt do it, I stayed in 602 whuch is suite room but the services are not up to the mark.
Newly renovated. Our room is small, but cozy and everything is clean. Breakfast was pretty good. Nothing like fresh/warm croissants and espresso to start the day. Staff is very friendly as well.
King room 609 is TINY. We had luggage for a 15 day trip, and we were stumbling over our belongings in this room. We were able ro move to an accessible room (junior suite) after several days and it made all the difference in the world. Much more space in the bedroom, sitting area and bathroom. Very nice boutique hotel in the heart of the city. The street is quiet, so you are sure to sleep well. Despite a small size, the rooms are pretty and comfortable. The breakfast is very complete and of good quality. The great plus of this hotel is the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, especially the conciergerie.
Very nice experience We took the rooftop suite, amazing view, huge terrace!
The bedding was perfect, as was the whole room from decoration to comfort. Private parking available, and top concierge! Price therefore obviously but do like me save it is worth it! (lifelong memories) I highly recommend this hotel
My review only refers to the restaurant, because I have not stayed at the hotel yet: The restaurant impresses with its ambience, excellent cuisine, excellent, very prudent staff and a pleasant atmosphere. Wine and food are excellent and the value for money is balanced. It should be reserved and can also be good with larger groups. Due to its central location, the restaurant is easily accessible by public transport or on foot. Parking is not available ...
A one star hotel with four star prices.
Do not stay here. This hotel provides no comfort, no privacy, and poor service. I would rather be at a Motel 6. I have stayed in dozens of hotels around the world, and this hotel is the worst.
I am a Hilton Gold Honors Member, and I have spent three nights here so far. There have been many issues with my stay here.
1. Comfort. It has been unseasonably hot. The staff refuses to turn on the air conditioner, and they will not even provide a fan. There IS air conditioning, but they refuse to activate it to save money. They recommend opening a window. My room remains more than 26C (80F) until nearly midnight. I am unable to even sleep under the covers. Instead, I sleep above covers, nearly naked, with the windows open, and I still sweat. It feels disgusting, and this is no way to spend a vacation. I am not even able to spend time in the hotel during the day due to the heat. At breakfast, I have heard several other guests complain about the temperature.
2. Privacy. Everyone's windows are open due to the heat, and the central courtyard that most rooms connect to echoes a lot. You will hear every crying baby, every child playing, every barking dog, everytime another guest has sex, flushes a toilet, snores at night, coughs up phlegm, etc. And you will be kept awake all night by loud guests partying all night. Furthermore, other guests will be able to see into your room at night through the thin white curtain. This has made my wife and I very uncomfortable.
3. Service. I brought all these concerns up to management the first day here, and the third night. They have not done anything and refuse to do anything. They claim that they are unable, even to bring it up to their bosses.
UPDATE: I spoke with the hotel manager, Jaklin. She tried, but was not able to find another Hilton hotel in Paris for my wife and I. I have heard even more guests complain -- it seems like all the guests in the hotel are very unhappy.
UPDATE 2: Half the hotel has lost its mind. Last night, there was a shouting match at nearly 2AM between guests due to noisiness. I called Hilton, and they have heavily discounted my stay. However, I wouldn't even pay 100 Euro to stay at a place like this.
I only tested the restaurant. The service is impeccable. Nothing to say about food and wine. The card may lack a bit of originality, but everything was delicious.
Beautiful boutique hotel. The views from the 7th floor was amazing. Lots of Cafes and stores within walking distance. Route Royal about 5mins away has all the high end, brand name stores.
Also easy to catch the Paris tour buses around, if you would like to see all the magic of Paris.
The staff is very nice and the decor is great. A lovely boutique hotel in close proximity to a lot of the Paris must-sees. Although we read other reviews about lack of AC and managements response stating that it was present, be aware that there is no AC. It wasn t hot, as it s the winter, but not having any sort of air flow is rather annoying. The windows open all of three inches so it can get stuffy. The noise from one room/floor to another is easily transferred and hearing people walking around all night isn t the best way to spend your Christmas Eve. It s a nice place with a great location and staff, but I wouldn t stay here again.
Great location. Good service and nice breakfast. The fitness center was junk, basically nothing in it and few items were 20 years old and barely functional. Recently acquired by Hilton brands so should improve soon.
Very nice experience in a cozy setting for the best value for money for lunch. The dishes are excellent but a little stingy all the same (I say that probably because they are excellent). They are fresh, seasonal and tasty! The staff are lovely, helpful and helpful. We would stay there all day! The decor is nice and bright.
We weren't planning in staying in the area (originally looking at La Marais), but looking for hotels in Paris is all consuming. I ended up booking at Maison because its Hilton, I was able to use some points for one night and it was a boutique hotel. Service was exceptional. The concierge was super helpful; we never used concierge services at hotels until Paris, and they made its super easy with many options and helped us book reservations for dinners so we didn't have to wait. There really isn't much bad about this place, save that the rooms/bathrooms are small (but excepted in Paris) and they have funky carpeting/decor. But nothing that wouldn't make me not stay here again.
We are currently on site. Today is our third day, for a total of five days. The hotel is housed in a wonderful historic building, as is customary at Hilton's Curio division. We feel very comfortable in our room, which offers a lot of space and comfort! Especially the bathroom is a real eye candy. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The rich breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired! Once again, many thanks for the great time in a beautiful hotel! We would like to come again!
Very welcoming. Staff are very professional and rooms were clean...... I never had a great experience where the food was concerned but I can also put that down to personal preference. I would return in the future as everything else ran very smoothly......
