I had the opportunity to visit the place thanks to the operation "Tous au restaurant" in September 2012 with my lover.

I had chosen it for its exceptional decor steeped in history, inspired by the 1950s and - it seems, the surrealists who would have known it for a while. This is all the satisfaction I was able to derive from this experience, and again, the room was too dark for us to distinguish all the aesthetic change of scenery.

Beyond that, an icy welcome, the impression of being considered as pessimistic (even though the service is not worthy of the place, or the essence of the ridiculous ...) and a dish that completes your recovery in your place: a simple piece of bland white fish (I don't remember the species) without any seasoning, placed on a puddle of ordinary mash. The starter, scrambled eggs with porcini mushrooms, however, testified to a real know-how. But the total absence of decoration gave the whole the impression of a minimum service for the customers of the operation, and reading the other opinions which mark out the web, I sincerely think that this establishment applies a service to the head from the customer, or in our case, to the wallet.

I would add that we were of course quite presentable, we were students and this operation was for us the opportunity to discover a place inaccessible in normal times. Today graduates, Parisians, and in the making - who are moreover still lovers of culinary refinement, we will never set foot in this restaurant again, cooled by this attitude bordering on rudeness and far removed from the initial aim of the operation. , namely sharing a passion for gastronomy and opening its doors to ALL.
