Where do I begin? When we came to Honda my wife and I and my sister-in-law we had just come back from another dealership and decided to stop by Honda just to get some fresh air and see if you could talk to someone. A Salesman approached us and asked us if we needed help, and we spoke with him for a little. After looking at the CR-V we decided to take a test drive and talked about being able to work with the price a little bit to which he said he would try and work with us on the price. During the test drive he was already changing his tone about how rigid the price would be. I expected this much, but everybody who goes to a dealership knows that you never pay MSRP you always work with the price a little bit.

Upon sitting down, we negotiated it what we were willing to put down and what we were willing to pay a month towards those payments. The first time he went to go speak with his manager I guess it was, he came back with a price that was double but we had negotiated to begin with. After telling him again that this was all we were going to put down and pay per month he said okay, put your initials here and another initial here with your debit card right next to it. To which I replied excuse me? He said initial here and put your debit card down, and I said why? He said it was to show his manager how serious we were about the purchase? My sister-in-law just happened to blurt out how insulting that was to which I agreed. I told them I'm not signing some paper and handing over my debit card for you to take in the back. I said If your manager wants to know we're serious he can come out here and ask us. Somebody did come from the back to talk with us that person worked with us a tiny bit but it just was not what we agreed on.

I am also in the field of sales, and I have never seen a tactic that was used to the point where I told a potential customer or client to initial something and slap down their debit card. As a matter of fact, this was the first time I have ever experienced that at any dealership. That night we left and went back to the other dealership which we felt really comfortable at. Worked out a good deal and left home with the car we wanted. I'm not going to mention the salesman's name from Honda because I don't like to plaster people's names all over the internet. However, if the owner would like to know the name you can send me your email and I'll be glad to email you.

We recently had the most amazing experience at Mahwah Honda! Steve Chin is an excellent salesman who you can tell cares about the customer's experience. He went above and beyond to assist us with all of our needs while purchasing our new Honda Pilot. Steve was thorough in showing us all of the features of our new car and answered all of our questions. I've never had a better experience in a typically overwhelming situation. We have already told friends where to go next time they need a new car. Hats off to Steve!

Easiest car buying experience ever! My friend had just bought a car the week before from JC. I wasn't even looking to get a new car (i was financing another) after reaching out to 3 different dealers I ended up contacting JC & he made the best deal. Have you in mind I live one hour away from Mahwah. We did the whole deal over the phone super easy! JC took the time to help me set up the vehicle settings. I highly recommend Mahwah Honda & JC they care about their clients.

I have leased four cars from Mahwah Honda and couldn't have been happier with the experience. All the employees at the dealership are friendly, knowledgeable and go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. Everything from picking a new car to picking up the new car was quick and easy.

The new dealership on Route 17 is beautiful. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a new or used car to visit Mahwah Honda, you won't be disappointed.

I came into the dealership looking for a 2018 Hr-v Lx and left with just that without any additives being push on me to purchase. Very poor experience buying a first car with my son. Did not explain the paperwork that we signed well. We did all the paperwork Saturday 3 October 2020 and were ready to pay and pick up the vehicle on Monday 5 October 2020. Ready to pay with personal check, credit card, or debit card and then they asked for the cashiers check. If we were told this was a requirement - they probably should have told us the balance so we could have come more prepared. All of this and not one apology - just blame to us as a first time car buyer.

My wife and I checked out Honda of Nanuet for a new Honda and were so turned off, we actually thought of not getting a new vehicle at all. We decided to check out Mahwah Honda and we were greeted by Dave DeSimone who helped us without any pressure to buy. He understood our needs and that we were weighing our options between new and pre-owned. He took us for a drive and sat with us explaining models. After going to lunch to discuss it, my wife and I felt comfortable enough with Dave and our experience that we decided to get a new Odyssey. Dave patiently worked with us to find the model and color that we wanted and was able to work as we changed colors and models. WHen our 2008 Pilot is ready for an upgrade, Mahwah Honda will be our first stop to meet with Dave to discuss a replacement. Everyone that we worked with was great!

I was greeted right away and treated with courtesy throughout my appointment. The representative, Jeff Carver, explained what would be involved along with the associated costs. When the technicians recommended an extra service, he checked with me before proceeding. He also applied a coupon code that lowered the final bill and the work was completed within the estimated time frame (while I waited). Thank you Mahwah Honda for taking care of my car, and ensuring that the service appointment was painless!

Insulted DCH Nanuet and said their price was fake. Sure enough it was not since we bought our car there. Would not even give a real price without a deposit which took 3 phone calls and 30 days to refund. "Just need 30 minutes more, oh just an hour more." The games are such a waste of our time.

Whole time insulted the other dealers and wouldn't even attempt to beat them on price. Said how they play mind games but that's all they did.

While sitting had a lady fighting with a manager over the lemon they sold her. Can't confirm any details but unsettling. That manager handled it as well as he could have.

Went to several Honda dealers and they wanted to sell only what they had with 4 to choose from, and had some crazy numbers for there leftover 2020 CR-V but not Mahwah Handa. My dad dealt with Joe Donegan and he had no problem answering our questions over the phone, we went over there inventory online and gave the model he want. They went back and forth and my dad feels Joe went above and beyond, especially seeing we had an emergency the day we were going to look at and get the 2020 Honda CR-V AWD touring model. I have a friend that bought a CR-V from Mahwah Honda last year and she recommended her salesman to me. That was Steve Chin and he was very friendly when I came in to do my preliminary tire kicking so to speak. I'm over 6 feet tall so the first thing I need to do is try out the head and leg room. He also helped me with picking the trim level that was best for me. Steve was very informative on my test ride as there were many new features since my wife got her Civic 4 years ago and I drove a CR-V 3 years ago. All in all this was not only painless but fun. When it came to delivery, Howard took care of most of the paperwork ahead of time so actually picking up the new CR-V was quick and easy.

This review is for the pre-owned department. They're really well mannered- hence the 1 star. But when you're looking to buy a car there's a lot more needed than being pleasant. Liked a car on their website and submitted an inquiry online to check on availability. Got an e-mail shortly later asking to contact them to set up an appointment for test-drive. Logically this means the car is available and free to be sold. Responded to them (the day before and the day of going to see the car) and drove an hour and half to see the car. All to be pleasantly told by Ely that the car had a deposit on it. There was no other car on the lot in the price range. Dealt with Theresa Rosen over the e-mail and phone and Ely was the salesman. Disappointing, unprofessional and a complete waste of our time and gas!

Easy to make service appointments online. Car drop-offs are in the covered garage, which is especially appreciated during bad weather. The waiting area has comfortable chairs, free WiFi, coffee and donuts. They also have an option to drive you home/work, but I didn't take advantage of that, so I'm not sure if there are any restrictions. Service reps are friendly and informative. I also understand the oil change prices are very reasonable. I had warranty work done, so I can't comment on pricing.

Got a good deal on a new 2016 Civic EX-T Blue Coupe Aug 2017. Highly recommend Dennis Brugger. No pressure, nice person, no bs, and patient. Dennis was excellent, best new car buying experience I ever had. He also knows the product well.

Some other intent sales person "Joe", claims I spoke w him and made an appointment with him. I never spoke to any salesperson except Dennis. Joe stole more than half the commission from Dennis. If I come back for another vehicle its Dennis Brugger or another dealer. I hope Mahwah Honda Management is reading this review. Im real, I need another car. Treat your sales people better.

I own multiple Honda s purchased from there and never had such a terrible experience. My lease is expiring so i came shopping to upgrade but not any more. No one approached me to assist me and when I approached a Maher Honda employee for assistance he stood there and just stared at me. I was inquiring about a vehicle. He did not even think it was important to speak to me or even treat like a human let alone a customer. Absolutely disgusted!

I hate to be that one guy who leaves a 1 star review, but after our company's experience the last month and a half, I have to.

My 2015 CRV that was purchased from this location blew its transmission at only 60,400 miles. I had to get it towed from where it broke down, to my mechanic, to Honda so they could make the repair. The warranty was for 60,000 miles, and this dealership refused to pay a dime. We battled with the dealer's "corporate" department for a month, playing phone tag with them and an adjuster, while I was without my car and had to use a separate loaner from my mechanic. Finally after a month and a half, Honda said they couldn't make the repair, so we finally gave up and had it towed back to my mechanic so the transmission company they use can make the repair.

Terrible experience. Broken drown transmission at only 60k miles. Honda wouldn't honor the warranty because of a measly 400 miles. We will never be buying a Honda from here again.

I am giving Mahwah Honda a 5 star because it's well deserve.. After several months trying to fix my car with a recall, I had gone to DCH Honda of Nanuet and I will never go to that dealership ever gain. They gave me the run around with the recall and there was never a spot for me. The customer service was terrible, the ladies that answer the phones have attitudes and they don't like to accommodate your schedule. I called Mahwah Honda and the same day, problem solved. I didn't have to wait and my car was done in no time. A big THANK YOU TO Mark who took care of the situation and for his excellent customer service.

Walked in with the goal of buying a new Honda and trading in my existing car. The Sales People did not communicate with the Sales Manager, which was a massive time waste. Then when the Sales Manager came over he was jerk. Their offer on the trade in was lower by 80% the lowest possible value from Kelly Blue Book. They wouldn't move a single dollar off of the MSRP.

There are so many other places that will value your business.
