same macys as in everywhere houston gallery is not impresive anymore

This place is huge by its self. I thought the place was a bit cluttered though since it's right when you walk in the mall.

Yesterday evening 09/25/19 at Macys Watertower, I went to exchange replacement earrings that was presented to me as new after the orignal pair could not be repaired, I spoke with the manger of fine jewelry, I showed the manger the earrings, he says that the present dents in the earrings was the logo. At this point I m tired and not looking to argue so I simply replied the originally earrings I purchased did not have dents in the studs in fact that was the selling point made when I originally purchase the earrings at Macys in Orland Mall. Also, the current Children's Crystal Ball Reversible Stud Earrings you have in the store now do not have different sized dents in them.
I have never felt so disparaged in my life, all I wanted to do was exchange the earrings and not be dismissed with lies that undermines my claim. I will attempt to exchange the earrings this evening at Macys State Street.
Overall, I really did not appreciate how I was spoken to, why just flat out lie and say that s how they are made, not cool at all, you don't get to treat customer like they're disposable.

This branch is next door and connected to the shopping. It is smaller than the other located in State. It has all the brands and similar disposition. In some sectors sometimes you have to look for a box with staff to pay. Discounts for tourists are not well promoted and depends on how friendly the employee is.

This Macy's spans 12 floors so it's easy to get lost in the sometimes chaotic store. Because it's on Michigan Ave in the Water Tower Shops, it attracts a lot of tourists so I only shop here on the weekdays or if there's a can't miss sale. I usually avoid the women's department and shoe section because of the crowds and overwhelming displays, and stick to the quieter home sections.

Macy's at Water Tower was a great store. Excellent customer service and great selection found deals out this world

Store inside the mall somewhat disorganized but with patience you find what you are looking for

i went to macys and used some of there purfume and it smelled fantastick it was so good it made me vomite. I love shopping and I ALWAYS vomit though. They just wanted my money I think but I showed them, with barf of course. but i do love macys

I had a great experience at this Macy's. A young man named Alex helped me out and did a wonderful job at it.

Ahhh what can i say about this place. Multiple floors with multiple surprises.

Unfortunately this location will be closing soon; however, this location has several sales by the time of this review. This Macy's has a very limited selection for men's clothing compared to the state and lake location. For a grandiose selection of women's fashion, this is the location between the two. I had a friendly time with the Hugo Boss salesmen Ned and plan to purchase a coat at the other location since the size I needed was not in stock. The 90 day refund incase something does not fit is also great. Just dont lose the price tag/receipt.

For the woman is a dream. If you are the husband is the nightmare

A must see if you are going to Chicago. Tons of shops and a nice place to eat inside.

Andres at BCBG was a big help . This guy went above and beyond to help me with my outfit for a night out . He went to to the shoe department to pair nice heels with my dress . Lauren at the shoe department took me for a walk to talk about shoes and listened to what I liked and gave me suggestions . Now I know exactly where to buy my clothes. Lauren and Andres are my people to go to now every time I need a makeover . Both have unique styles and visions . Thanks again guys . I really appreciated your time and effort .

I heard on the news that s it s planning to close the mag mile store!! Please don t close it s a landmark in Chicago. I love this store so much

There's so much to choose from. You'll find so many brands and variety of clothing. You will most probably find what you're looking for. Macy's does not sell poor quality products so you'll find good stuff for a decent price.

MACY'S IN THE WATER TOWER HAD A GREAT SALE.. 50 OR 60%... I RACK UP FOR MY NEPHEWS....

Needed a shirt 10 minutes before they closed, staff was kind & helpful.

Too large, too many options, too few staff to help, though the ones that were there, were very courteous and helpful.

This review is specifically for the ridiculously tragic shoe department. Was in Chicago on a long layover and realized I needed some comfy walking shoes. Knew which ones I wanted, and checked Macy's online to make sure they had them. Got to the store and it was 1. In total disarray. 2. Found my shoe, tried it on and it fit! 3. No salespeople were on the floor, only at the register. 4. Told them I wanted to purchase in size 8. Waited 5 minutes while they went to find the shoes. Meanwhile a huge group of women crowd the register to get shoes to try on because there's NO ONE on the floor. Understaffed/poorly managed. 5. They give me the box and it's empty! Said the last size 8 is the floor sample. I said, well there's nothing in the box. So they told me *I* would have to check the floor for the other sample. I said I would prefer to not buy a scuffed $95 shoe, and asked for a discount. They said the best they could do was 10% off. Never found the other sample shoe and left. Most ridiculous customer service experience I've ever had. This is one reason department stores are dying.

Excellent location on Water Tower, this branch of Mace's sprawling over several floors makes shopping in Downtown Chicago an excellent stop.

It's my home away from home when shopping downtown. The sales staff has always been outstanding and the sales are insane. The only reason I deducted a star is bc none of that review applies to the fragrance department and that bums me out bc I loooove perfume. It is however, the only thing that I will not buy there. The prices are awful and the sales staff is just not as friendly. There are exceptions of course, but I've been shopping there for a decade and that's still my overall opinion. But don't let it detract from the rest of the store which I could literally spend all day in. And have.

It will never be as special as when it was Marshallfields and Company...the magic is gone! Come back to us PLEASE!

Oh, I just go here out of nostalgia with my family, even though it's not Marshall Fields anymore. Such a great location.

I always find the best clothes for my kiddos here. They have cute and affordable clothes for both of my children. Sometimes, it's hard to find cute baby boy clothes, but this is my go to place to always find something.

I did not find what I needed but the store was nice and neat. Convenient to my hotel.

A great selection of shoes and boots...which is why I was there today...customer service was great too..

Gorgeous store with marble floors, well planned displays, impeccably clean. It is larger than most suburban Macy's stores and more like the NYC flagship. I have been looking for a dress for a formal fall wedding, and found one here in less than 30 minutes. I even got a discount.

I have been loyal a customer with macy's fro more than 7 years .and I never expected my self to be treated like I was some scumbag especially after i spent thousands of dollars from clothes,jewelry, shoes.....
I got put in hold for hours i couldn't reach any supervisors or managers i got hung up on several times .and whenever i asked someone how could you help me the answer was negative. where's the customer service where's the passion about doing your work if you don't wanna work have there's a lot of people out there looking for a job .
all i was asking is to get my coat i placed an order twice and i got canceled I;m pretty sure that it's not my fault ..and I"m asking whoever behind that desk for help I wanna be satisfied .

I tried to return the same items on two separate occasions. Both times, I was sent away as they said they could not return items without a manager there or with their computer not online. I understand that at times these things are true. However, I was assured by their staff that I would not receive a late fee on my credit card as they had made a note in my account and that I could return them the next week when I was back in town. I did receive a late fee and in addition, Macy's would not remove it from my card. This company has awful customer service and I will no longer shop there again for any goods.

Terrible costumer service at the mk and coach purses area. There is a lady Breanna is so rude.

This was one of the few times that I had a pleasant visit at Macy's , the associates are rude and they don't speak to you.,, And then you can't tell who works there and who doesn't

Love Macys but standing in their shoe department for 30 min waiting for service...I've counted 5 sales associates but still cant get help. My local store in Ohio much more friendly for service!

Huge Macy s compared to any other I ve ever been before.

This one even has a cafeteria with good selection.

This store is always chaotic. It is huge but often messy displays and it is impossible to find someone to help you. Forget personal service, you won't find it here but they do have great sales if you are willing to search for what you are looking for. They shoe department does not stock large sizes, so don't waste your time searching for large sizes here.
