MacMedics did a great job saving my daughters MacBook files when another authorized service center said it was impossible. Very nice people too!

Extremely helpful and easy to set up repairs for my devices. I get multiple devices repaired at a time here and all I have e to do I drop them off and pick them up. I'm updated periodically if there is an issue or if anything needs payment. I would definitely recommend taking your devices here instead of the Apple store.

Customer service was excellent from start to finish. I went into the store needing to replace my display due to the anti-reflective coating on my MacBook Pro coming off. They 100% covered the cost under a defective repair warranty that Apple issued. I dropped my MacBook off on Friday and was done by noon on Monday. The staff are helpful and extremely nice. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who needs help or assistance in Mac or Apple product issues.

Got my cracked iPhone fixed here for $10 more than it costs at Apple- however Apple was booked for 2 weeks and they did it in 2 hours!

I was so pleased with Mac Medics. I was dreading going to one of the big Apple stores for a repair, so when I discovered this wonderful little store I was thrilled. It was raining when I arrived and a technician opened the door for me. They greeted me with friendly smiles and were immediately able to dianose the problem with my Macbook and they even looked up extended warranty information so the repair cost me nothing. Service was quick, professional, and friendly. I'm a fan.

I brought my iMac in so that they can restore the settings, make possibly minimal changes that might improve the speed of the device . My device wasn t slow at all. I tried to use my device today and To say that I m disappointed will be an understatement because it takes 20 minutes to just to load safari and it keeps restarting without even me doing it. What type of rubbish is this? Why would the device perform way worse than when I brought it in? I m so angry and disappointed.

I highly recommend Mac Medics. The staff is very professional and courteous. They exceeded my expectations and fixed my laptop within 24 hrs of it being broken. They also ensured that it was under warranty with Apple. It was truly refreshing to deal with a company that has the best interest of the customer at heart. I will definitely be coming back!

I had a great experience at MacMedics yesterday. My father was looking for a new desktop, and he's always had PCs, but I know that he has an iPhone and an iPad, so I suggested he check out MacMedics to see if they had something refurbished that could meet his needs. I follow them on IG and own a business down the road from them, so I've been aware of them for quite a while even though I had never been a customer.

Chris was knowledgeable and friendly and help my dad choose a refurbished iMac that met his needs and was well below his budget. I'm not an Apple guy myself, but I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Their service is top notch and the value for what you get is amazing.

Got my, under warranty, MBPr screen replaced in less than 24 hours. They truly compliments the quality of service you'd expect from apple authorized service centers.

It's okay. Was not super friendly. However they were very technical and knowledgeable in computer technology. All I'm saying is there is room for improvement. Pandemic or not, please say hello nicely. That goes a long way with a customer. Thank you.

I buy Apple products because of their design, features, and overall awesome service delivery. Having the opportunity to work with the MacMedics team feels like yet another extension of Apple's awesome service model. Actually, these guys are better than Apple employees in almost every way.

I first went to MacMedics about seven or eight years ago at the recommendation of an Apple advisor. While they were the quickest option available to fix my then dead MacBook screen, I didn't trust doing this because they were not Apple employees. I can honestly say that using these guys was the best recommendation EVER! They are the fastest at what they do, and can usually turn your repair around in 24 - 48 hours; not even Apple can do that. And they have the best attitudes of any service people I've encountered. They're just awesome to work with.

Most recently, I took my 2010 iMac in to have them upgrade the hard drive to a solid state from the traditional one. Not only did they turn the repair around the same day, but they also saved me lots of money. Simon was great in recommending that I could go to Amazon to find the parts for cheaper, and then bringing it all to them to install for just $150. Thanks, Simon. I later had the pleasure of working with both Chris and Sam. Sam was the best to work with even after I screwed up the work they had done with the new install of El Capitan. Because I couldn't get the download to work from my account, Sam offered to do the install again at no cost. Sam and Chris even took the iMac back in a few more times to troubleshoot a RAM issue, again at no additional cost to me.

I honestly, enjoy taking my Apple devices to MacMedics because they care about the work they do, and also the customers they're working with. They truly make tough electronic issues easier to deal with because they are honest people. I will never take a device to Apple again as long as the MacMedics team is around. THANKS, GUYS!

Personally, the service received from them was bad. They didn't solve my phone problem even after I had it with them for 5 days.

Very polite, responsive, and got my phone set to ship out for repairs within a half hour, let me know it was ready as soon as it came back.

Recently brought in a pair of Powerbeats3. Ear wing had broken off. Noticed some reviews mentioned "rude" customer service at this place. Definitely not my experience. I interacted with three different men while visiting and they were all extremely friendly and personable.

Service: I was told that there was a small chance the ear wing wouldn't be covered under warranty, but he (don't remember his name) reassured me he would do his best to figure out the specifics. Projected turn around was about 2-4 days. I got a phone call 2 days later that my earbuds were ready to be picked up.

Came in about 3 days later and picked them up, no charge. Covered by warranty. The gentleman at the desk was super nice and had a warm personality.

The business is very clean and organized. I walked around to check out their products. Really great deals, especially on their refurbished items. They definitely have an "Apple Store" feel.

If I ever need any further assistance with repair or purchasing Apple Products, there's a strong chance I'll be coming here.

There is a cat that chills out on a chair by the exit. Very pretty cat. He was asleep both of the times I visited. Wanted to pet him, but didn't want to disturb his slumber, lol.

I was referred by the Apple store for service the store doesn't perform. After explaining my issue to the tech at Mac Medics he said Apple had been wrong and their suggestion wouldn't solve my problem. He ran some tests the Apple store didn't and recommended some work. It was done the same day and it's like I have a new machine. The tech who helped me when I picked it up even offered to carry things to my car since my hands were full. Very professional and would absolutely recommend them.

My 2012 MacBook Pro was running super slow and lead to the hard drive completely dying. I m someone who uses it for hours everyday for work, so I was completely crushed and overwhelmed. I called Apple to have them help me troubleshoot. After being on the phone with them for over an hour they told me my computer is a vintage and they don t carry parts anymore, which was heartbreaking. They recommend Mac Medics and I m so thankful they did. After 3 minutes in the store they had my computer turned on and diagnosed. They recommend a new hard drive and data transfer. The whole process checking in and having them diagnose it took maybe 10 minutes. I left the store feeling excited and trusted them completely because they really care and it shows. My old hard drive was so sick it took a week to complete the process. My computer is running like new now and I m one happy customer. I will definitely be a customer for life.

I came In for a simple Battery replacement for an Iphone 7. My screen has a slight crack in the bottom right hand corner which made making the replacement for the battery a little trickier due to the fact that the screen crack could have gotten bigger. This was all explained to me before the repair was completed and I agreed to go ahead knowing the risk. Repair was done within 1 hour of a walk in with no appt. required! And came back to find my screen intact and with a fresh Apple OE Battery installed. Everyone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable definitely beats the cheap mall places!

I brought my Mac in to get checked out when it finally started giving problems after 5.5 years of daily use. They ran a diagnostic and pin pointed the problems within 10 minutes of me walking through the door. Two days later my Mac was ready to be picked up and has been running smoothly ever since.

The customer service and overall service was excellent. In spite of being semi stressed that my beloved computer was broken, the expertise and superb service of the staff at MacMedics helped to make it a much more pleasant experience. I'd highly recommend them.

Most helpful and when my phone had a catastrophic failure they sent it off to Apple and had my new phone in 2 days. 30 minutes after I picked it up everything was restored to normal. Great service and knowledgeable staff.

Honestly, I don't know what we would do without these guys! Our household uses Macs--iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, etc...we got it all. And we areas dumb as can be when it comes to figuring out problems. Yes, the Apple store is a few miles away, but these guys are much more knowledgeable than the kids at the Genius Bar. Don't go anywhere else! Trust me.

Fast and friendly service. I took my iPhone 6S for a battery replacement with an appointment on a weekday morning. It took only 30 minutes. I waited at the Mutt and Joe coffee shop next door and they came to get me when they were finished. Highly recommended!

Quoted me $450 on a $200 battery replacement at a normal mac store (which Annapolis Apple performed in store.) This price is even listed online via Apple, so I had an idea of what the minimum would be going to Mac Medics.

I had to ask specifically if there was a diagnostic fee and what the estimated repair price was since they basically just shoved the agreement at me without explaining anything, and only got the information after they scoffed at me for asking. In fact, it was a different employee than the one talking to me that even bothered to give me the minimum price in the first place.

Excellent iPhone battery replacement - fast efficient

There is just something so comforting about taking your beloved computer to someone you trust. I knew my old girl was past her prime, and I hauled her in for a check up. Good thing I did. She was on her last leg. She has been put out to pasture now, but all my data was safely relocated to a slightly newer version! Plugged her in and there everything was, just like before! Trustworthy, reasonable and they have a store cat!

Recently I had to have my iPhone 6 battery replaced quickly. I dropped it off and about 2 hrs later,I picked it up and everything is fine. This was my 2nd experience with MacMedics(years ago I had to have my ibook 2001 fixed so it has been a long time!)and I would highly recommend them. Great service!

Service was done as expected and completed quicker than anticipated.

My 7-year-old iMac 21.5" was not keeping up with my demands for speed and multi tasking. No amount of cleaning or self installations would safely produce the results I needed. Dreading an expensive overhaul, both tech guys (good cop vs bad cop) explained in clear mechanics ($$$) the threshold for a new machine. I understood my choices and keep my computer, but upgraded RAM, swapped for a solid state drive, and a tune up. They promise lightning speed. They delivered quickly and with a smile. Cost a pretty penny, but you gotta pay to play.

OMG! I CANNOT SHOUT LOUD ENOUGH ABOUT THIS TEAMS' PROFESSIONALISM AND SPEED! I STUPIDLY UPDATED MY 2012 MACBOOK PRO TO MOJAVE AND MY HARD DRIVE FAILED, NOT TO MENTION THAT I NEVER BACKED UP ANYTHING ON MY MACBOOK BEFORE! MY ENTIRE LIFE AND MY CLIENT'S PHOTO SHOOT & WEDDING PICTURES WERE ON MY 6 YRS OLD LAPTOP.

AFTER A 4 HOUR ORDEAL WITH APPLE SUPPORT TRYING TO HELP ME ON THE PHONE, I TOOK IT TO THE ACTUAL APPLE STORE AND THEY COULDN'T HELP ME, ALL THEY COULD DO WAS SHRUG AND SEND ME TO ONE OF THEIR AUTHORIZED REPAIR SHOPS (AS A LAST RESORT). I ASKED THE APPLE REPRESENTATIVE WHICH ONE HE TRUSTED AND WITHOUT A BLINK HE SAID MAC MEDICS IN SEVERNA PARK MD, AT THAT POINT I HAD NOTHING TO LOOSE SO I DROVE TO MACMEDICS THINKING IF APPLE COULD NOT HELP ME, I DOUBT ANY OTHER PLACE WOULD. THEY CALLED ME EVERY STEP OF THE WAY AND RECOMMENDED THAT I GET A NEW SSD HARD DRIVE BECAUSE THE ONE I HAVE IS A BAD HARD DRIVE, HENCE THE 2HRS BOOT UP TIME AND THE UNRECOGNIZED PORTS AND INTERNAL HARDWARE.

I ORDERED A NEW HARD DRIVE AND SHIPPED IT TO THEM ON TUESDAY, I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW ON THURSDAY ON MY FIXED MACBOOK! MY MACBOOK ACTUALLY OPERATES FASTER THAN IT EVER DID. THIS TEAM IS LITERALLY HEAVEN SENT! THEY RETRIEVED EVERY SIGNLE FILE INCLUDING THE IMPORTANT ONES AND ALL MY LIGHTROOM EDITS THAT I HAD NOT EXPORTED YET! Exceptional customer service and seemed to have performed a miracle to restore and back up my iPhone. These guys are technology wizards, and have been incredibly helpful to my whole family in repairing our Apple products. Highly recommend.

The people there are very friendly and helpful and they went the extra mile to get my issue warrantied by Apple. I originally brought my laptop in because of a known issue with this model. They did a great job keeping me informed of the repair status. However, that is not why I am writing this review. After getting the laptop back, it sat on the shelf for about a month as I had switched to a different laptop. When I went to re-image the laptop and get it ready for a user, I noticed the Thunderbolt ports did not work. I had always used the Thunderbolt ports before getting it repaired, so I knew they worked before hand. I took the laptop back for diagnostics. Jeff at Mac Medics spent an hour talking with Apple and persuaded them to cover the repair. I couldn't be happier and I appreciate all they did.

The customer service was good. They are doing what they need to during this pandemic to keep everyone safe. Although the diagnostics of my macbook air was quite confusing and I dont believe my warranty was applied. When I asked about it they seemed to cut corners instead of giving me a direct answer. To fix my device was going to cost me over $600. I do not believe there was any water damage or any real damage at all. I dont know how my computer broke. I thought at least some of it would be covered. I took it to an Apple Store at Annapolis Mall this past Saturday and they fixed it for free. It is Tuesday and they are already shipping it back to my house by tonight. I dont know how you go from close to $700 to free??? Anyways, besides that misunderstanding, the workers seemed like they are focused on getting the job done at Mac Medics. Although if you only have the regular Apple warranty on your Mac book air and not Apple care+ you are screwed at one of these stores. That is my only hang up about this store.

I was having a problem with the camera on my phone. I went to the Apple store in Annapolis and waited a total of three hours just for them to tell me they couldn't fix it. I found Mac Medics and was in and out of their store in less than an hour. They were friendly, knowledgable, and great to work with. They also had some pretty cool products in their store. Would highly recommend!

They replaced the keyboard on my MacBook Pro and had it back to me within days. Great service and no appointment needed!! Will certainly go back again.

These guys are terrific! The REALLY know what they're doing. I spilled coffee on my Macbook yesterday (Sunday) morning and screwed up the keyboard.
I took the computer to them when they opened at 8:30 this morning, and by noon they called to tell me that the keyboard was replaced and they had also corrected some other items and had not charged me for the extras. Their prices are very reasonable. I've used them a few times over the past two years.

MacMedics has been my choice over the nearby Apple store for years. I have twice had emergency repairs that were handled quickly, on short notice, with direct access to expert technicians for questions. Owner Dana makes himself available to customers personally. Their advice has been straightforward and without any sales hustle too.

I was having trouble with my iPhone not charging. I brought my phone in and they pulled a sizable amount of lint out of the charging port. I was out in 5 minutes and they didn't even charge me! I will definitely be back with any other issues I have.

I found the store online.. I made an appointment online for the same day. They were courteous and professional. My unit was repaired and ready before the two hour promised timeframe. I would highly recommend this team for all your Apple repair and retail needs! The store was very clean and the staff very pleasant.

I have to tell you about the wonderful experience I had with MacMedics, namely Dana Stibolt. It was Memorial Day weekend (Friday) and one of our Macs at THE LAND of KUSH vegan restaurant in Baltimore went haywire. The software wouldn't launch. We kept seeing a spinning circle but no progress. After running HD diag and determining that there was possibly something wrong with the HD, we debated between going to the Apple store and purchasing a new one or seeking out other alternatives. We recalled one of our customers, Dana Stibolt, working for this company MacMedics so we reached out to him to get some direction. The million dollar question..."Is your data worth $200?" The answer, "YES!" Dana came out the same day to diagnose the problem. The hard drive needed to be replaced but most importantly HE SAVED OUR DATA!!!!! Everything was back to normal by Tuesday afternoon! Thanks a million, Dana!!!

UPDATE:

I've had my 17" Macbook Pro for close to 9 years. As of 12/2/19, this will be my third time working with Mac Medics on different issues. On this visit, it was diagnosed as dead. I was able to get a replacement, ready to go within three hours. They're easy to work with, reasonable prices and service is quick. I, especially, like working with Dana.

Very helpful with discussions revolving around repairs and reconditioned MBPs.

Friendly and fast service. I was told service would take 2hrs but it was concluded in 1 and a half hours.

Excellent, timely, friendly, and reliable service on each of the occasions I have been here highly recommended.

I brought in an iPhone 7 Plus for a cracked screen repair. They told me they'd have it done in 2-4 business days because they have to ship it out. I was hesitant because of the duration, but they ensured me that I wouldn't be longer than 4 business days. It took 9 days to get my phone back, and I personally had to call to find out. They got the fixed phone back from apple and then never called to tell me, the customer, it was done. If they would have been upfront about the wait I would be cool with it, but they lied right to my face. If you're getting your screen repaired I would avoid this place at all costs. I've attached an image with proof of the lengthy wait, as well as proof I had to call THEM to get an update on.

Mac Medics provided me with excellent service when my logic board went bad. They replaced the board, helped me with finding a new hard drive when I requested the upgrade, and they then transferred all my data from my old drive to my new drive. The had it all done within a couple days and were very helpful when checking out. Excellent service and super helpful through the whole process. They made it nearly seamless getting my system up and running again. Saving me countless hours reinstalling my data.

Polite, efficient, friendly, gave me updates regularly by phone and email.

The only place to go to buy or get your Mac serviced or fixed. They do great work!

MacMedics in Severna Park is the BEST!!! Friendly, helpful, amazing customer service. They fixed my iPhone screen same day on a Saturday!! I work across from the Annapolis Mall, but I will always drive up to see Dana and staff rather than deal with the Apple store in the mall!!

I went too the genius bar for an emergency, of course because christmas is right around the corner they were PACKED! I was looking online for my next closest Apple Store when I seen a link for MacMedics. I was nervous at first because, well I've been conditioned to only go to Apple, but I was put a ease to see that they work directly with Apple. So the next morning I went before work, the store was easy to find, and easy to access. I went in and was highly impressed with how beautiful and clean the store was, I was greeted by a very friendly staff, they immediately went in to action to solve me dilemma. The staff did everything within their means to help me and ultimately resolved my issue above my own expectations. I left the store with a huge smile on my face and my mind at ease, I have since told multiple friends, family members, and clients about Mac Medics and vowed this will now be my go to for my apple devices.

I have purchased multiple Macs and iPods and gotten service from MacMedics in Severna Park. We also have a corporate account for our office machines. Friendly, competent, timely, efficient and honest service. And they have a cat in the office. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Jeff was great to work with. He diagnosed my problem over the phone and was very knowledgeable! When I arrived to the store, he greeted me right away and got started working. I used Mac Medics to have my daughter's computer fixed. They fixed it while I waited so that I could take it back right away to Salisbury University. They informed me that it was under warranty and fixed it for no-charge. It was done in 20 minutes. I highly recommend Mac Medics.

I found MacMedics at the height of COVID. They had great customer service during some challenging times. They have twice taken great care of a MacBook Pro problem I've had. While appreciate their technical expertise, I appreciate the outstanding customer service more. The limited hours store hours is the only issue but it's well worth dealing with the hours they are open given their efficiency.

Wouldn't take my Mac anywhere else. Forget the hassle of the Apple store, go to MacMedics. They are top notch and don't waste your time like the Apple store does. I highly recommend them as I have used them on multiple occasions.

Great response. Product was available for us to pick up when we needed it.

IPhone became inoperable during the April COVID-19 shutdown. All the Apple stores are closed. I had to find a authorized Apple repair dealer. The closest one to me was MicroCenter and I went there and was rudely told they didn t do phone repairs, despite what Apple says. The next option was MacMedics in Severna Park. I drove down and first noticed how serious they were about social distancing and keeping employees and guests infection free. I had to call them from the parking lot, and they quickly started my repair order despite how obviously swamped they were with repairs. They couldn t promise me when my phone would be back, I assumed it would be a few days. To my surprise they emailed me about 4 hours later to tell me the repair was complete . Great, quick and sterile service, highly recommended!!!

did not return my calls. After 5 days of repeatedly calling I got some one who was very rude to me. They said i was supposed to give them my credit card information before they could speak with me. when I refused they said 'then we cannot serve you' and hung up the phone.

I used to be a big fan of this company but no longer. Maybe they are too busy, maybe it's Covid stress, I don't know, but whatever magic they used to have is gone. In June 2020 I bought a refurbished iPad Pro from them. It included a 90-day warranty. Of course on the 93rd day the iPad died. For this I paid $1000, now I have an expensive brick. Maybe that's just bad luck but when I called them this morning to get some advice on how to repair, they could not even find the iPad because they had recorded the wrong serial number (or maybe they sold me someone else's iPad?). Really frustrating and expensive experience, nothing like being told the item you are holding in your hand does not exist in their system. Bottom line is they can probably still repair your broken phone screen but don't buy a refurbished item from them if you want it to last beyond the (short) warranty period and definitely don't expect them to actually keep track of what they sold you and be willing to help in the future.
