Ridiculously fast and efficient. Issue with an older iMac resolved and good to go for less than $50. Quality service and upfront pricing. Highly recommended.

These people will stay in the business longer than the apple stores. The employees are professional and curteous but to me the most outstanding quality in determining the longevity of a business is customer service and honesty.
They have repaired my laptop twice. Twice they have found a repair program under apple to cover the vost of the repair. Superior knowledge , lack of being harrased and honest people is a rare find in a business. I will never purchase my computers from any other store than here in the future. They are the best and all their 5 star ratings are truly well deserved.
If you have an Apple product, keep the MacMedics number in your phone. Within my extended family, these people have worked on three Macs and two iPhones. Always expert, quick work. They service older gear that the Apple Store declines. They are simply the best!
They have been excellent for a long time. Now they are absolutely so.
Can not say enough positive things about this place. I work as a PTA and my computer is my lifeline for documentation and billing. I had a water incident with my 2006 1st gen MacBook (that's right, it was TWELVE years old) on Tuesday. The keyboard and track pad were completely unresponsive but the hard drive seemed to be working fine. After a recommendation made from a patient to seek out MacMedics, I went over and worked with Dana. He was super knowledgable, very down to earth, and "real" about what I was looking at in regards to replace vs. repair. Never once did I feel like the important thing was the sale being made but instead, my satisfaction with the service as well as the product. Also, I was in and out in under an hour and I had a TON of questions. Will be returning for any and all apple related issues. Thank you all so much!
Impeccable and speedy service. Dana was exceptionally helpful and polite. Would recommend to anyone.
What a relief! I was less than a week away from a major weekend DJing and my track pad went bad. I have always worked on my computer myself but the track pad was something I wasn't comfortable replacing. So I took my MacBook Pro in to Mac Medics and prayed! These guys did a fabulous job making all my worries go away. Turned it around fixed the next morning. Exceptional service, friendly people, and knowledgeable. So glad I found you guys! Definitely be bringing all my problems back to you! THANKS!
Whatever I need repaired on any of my house full of Apple devices Mac Medics is always the spot I go. They keep my older stuff running and advise on the new stuff. Great store!
I am an enormous fan of MacMedics, for decades. Yesterday I took my MacBook Pro from 2010 with a System Failure. In no time, I had a refurbished one, my daughter bought a refurbished one from them 2 years ago with no problems, and they set me up with a few clicks to open my new computer with my desktop completely intact. I cannot tell you how many times I have relied on them for their professional expertise. I love the peace of mind just knowing, if I have any problems, I can run to them and get my answers and the solution, and not be hosed in the process. Going to MacMedics, is like going to your local car mechanic instead of the dealer. My local mechanic is honest, trustworthy, the best mechanic I know, and never does anything I don t need. That is MacMedics. They give me options, know these Macs better than anyone, superior service and information. Not to mention all of your valuable time and money not spent in complete frustration. Always satisfied.
Mac Medics is the best! Always very professional and knowledgeable. Repairs done right the first time at a fair price. Great refurbished Mac's too.
Phone camera stopped working and I am leaving for vacation soon. They fixed my camera and called me to pick it up in less than 24 hours! I dropped it off right before closing and it was ready the next morning. I have dealt with them on several occasions regarding computers and iPads and chargers, and they are always polite and efficient. If you have ANY Apple product needs this should be your go to store!
My 7 year old Macbook Pro was beginning to fade and I took it in to figure out how to revive it. My consultant discussed the options, and there was no pressure. I felt comfortable in buying a refurbished Macbook and they walked me through how to migrate the data to the new computer. Very professional, knowledgeable, and I was treated with respect.
My 2015 MacBook Pro's screen was cracked all done on side making only half the screen visible. After getting a quote from another Mac repair service, I tried Mac Medics...I thought I was going to have to pay almost $500 to get it repaired, but Mac Medics repaired it for free using some kind of Apple coverage! Beyond happy with this repair! Will definitely continue using Mac Medics for any future repairs I might need!
A very well run operation. There are plenty of knowledgeable staff to help. They diagnosed and replaced my hard drive on a laptop within 12 hours. They are also willing to educate their customers for no fee. Thanks! I will be back.
I cannot say enough great things about MacMedics. I was greeted with a smile and professional service. I was able to drop off my daughters phone for a much needed replacement battery at a very affordable price. It took under 2 hrs and I was called to pick it up. Thank you for your excellence! I will be sure to recommend you to others.
I cannot tell you how incredibly happy I am with the exemplary service at Mac Medics Severna Park! My entire livelihood and my client satisfaction of my own businesses depends upon having a working MacBook! The night before I was supposed to leave for the holidays, I spilled cocoa on my keyboard ....an entire mug. My MacBook was useless after. I thought that I was going to have to buy a new MacBook Pro when mine was only 13 months old. I also was anxious because I had not done a backup and my cloud was full so there was a risk of losing an extraordinary amount of data including books, articles, spreadsheets, and more. I called and visited multiple places...no one could get into the laptop right away because of the holidays or due to other limitations of certain service centers.
Finally, I called Mac Medics and got A REAL LIVE PERSON on the phone!! It was such a relief to be able to explain the urgency of my situation and review my options. I drove to severna park from Columbia and walked into Mac Medics where another REAL PERSON, Doug, greeted me and sat down with me discuss what could be done.
Doug made me feel at ease and gave me the confidence that I would not need to purchase a new laptop. He also explained that the data is typically retrievable and that they would get to it that day (mind you it was 4pm on December 23) or the next day. I felt confident leaving my entire business with Doug. I got a call that night saying that they opened up the laptop, cleaned it out, and were sending it to Apple care for parts. I literally had my laptop back within 72 hours and 24 of those were Christmas Day. Jeff worked on the computer and found that my hard drive was in tact which spared me hundreds of dollars. Keith sent an email that my computer was ready for pick up. These guys work like a well oiled machine yet add the human element with kindness and compassion...something that current businesses seem to be missing. They are honest, fast, and reliable. I would suggest Mac Medics Severna Park to anyone in need of repair, purchase, or anything MAC!!!
My iMac was running slowly after the last OS upgrade, and some of my apps would not load. MacMedics quickly diagnosed the issue as being a hard drive on its last legs. They recommended an upgrade to a solid-state drive, and MacMedics promptly installed the new drive and migrated my data for a very reasonable fee, giving new life to my machine and a ten-fold increase in speed. I'm thrilled, and am passing out MacMedics cards to my friends with Macs
In an effort to replace an old 2006 Macbook's hard drive, I disrupted a few parts and was unable to get the unit to power on. I took the thing to both Chesapeake Computing in Crofton and two Apple stores before going to MacMedics. I wish I had just gone there first! The consultant Ed made a few quick adjustments and had the thing fixed in a jiffy, at no charge (I paid Chesapeake Computing a $40 service fee for nothing - they held it for almost two weeks and then informed me it wouldn't turn on - duh!). MacMedics is what the Genius Bar should really be. Great customer service and truly knowledgeable staff. Thanks, Ed! You were awesome. Will definitely be back.
Last visit was worthless. Recently purchased laptop had a problem. The person told me to bring it in and they could fix it right away and that it was still covered. When I got there I was told that I had to leave and it would be billed. I took it home and after a two hour download and using my back up drive, I fixed it myself.
This is the second time that I have been to Mac Medics with my "older" computer. I don't feel like I am being ripped off like when i go to the mac store. They take walk ins. They are fast and its great!
I can't tell you how wonderful MacMedics has been! I am a photographer who has used Apple products for years. I end up taking hundreds of GB worth of photos and am very hard on my computer when it comes to editing and storing all of them. My Mac was a few years old and I wanted to upgrade my RAM and hard drive space. After speaking to MacMedics they helped me find the best solution- I ended up installing extra RAM, getting a solid state hard drive for my operating system, and getting separate hard drives to help store all of my photos. They fixed everything efficiently and were really patient and thorough when answering all of my questions! When I later had some issues with my disk permissions, they were able to walk me through what I needed to do to fix these and the problem was solved. Many people have no idea where to turn for Apple services, sales, or data recovery, so they just end up going to the Apple Store and paying too much for it, not getting an accurate diagnosis, or going elsewhere and ending up with terrible service. But that is not the case with MacMedics- they are great on all accounts. They also give you a 1 year warranty- a big plus in my book. Highly recommended!
You guys are the best. Your techs patiently answered several of our questions over a week's period, addressing upgrades we wanted done to both my wife's and my mac minis. Not only were things done flawlessly, and w/in 24 hrs, but your follow up calls and texts were spot on, both in content and tone. Even convinced one of our colleagues to come by and purchase a new MacBook Air. Thx again! David & Judy H. Annapolis
Great customer service. They are so knowledgeable about computers in general
Absolutely the best place I took my daughter s MacBook Pro, cracked screen. They literally fixed it in a day, they go the extra mile for their customers. Everyone so welcoming and friendly!!! If I could I would give them more than 5 stars! I recommend this place to everyone. We were helped out by Dana and he did everything possible so my daughter could have her computer asap.
Keith and staff are wonderful in supporting all issues with Apple devices.
I took my sick glitchy MacBook Pro to Mac Medics. They replaced the hard drive and worked for a few days on a bad software tangle and I got back a super fast, works better than new, laptop. Thank you, thank you the Mac Medics team! Wonderful customer service.
MacMedics service during my past two visits has been exceptional. To avoid accidentally writing an essay, below are a few bullets on what has made them so great to work with.
- They go out of their way for you. During my most recent visit, I went in for a screen repair and came out with that and a newly replaced keyboard/casing and battery at no extra cost. They recognized that the laptop was covered under a warranty for me and took the initiative to do the work.
- The service is timely. Both times I ve used MacMedics, I dropped my laptop off one day and picked it back up the next. No issues with their responsiveness!
I could honestly go on. I *never* write reviews, but I had to for these guys.
Thank you!
In and Out in no time. Friendly and knowledgeable folks. I have always had a good experience with Mac Medics and will return in the event of any future problem.
Just wanted to say thank you to Jeff at Mac Medics for his great customer service last year my daughter s Mac Book needed a new hard drive he did a great job replacing it and getting it back to her so she could finish a project for school. She was having some minor issues after her classes ended in May so I brought back in to have him look at it. He did a quick check and advised me on our option it s a 2009 model so it may be time for a new model. Jeff took time to go over new as well as some used models. It s customer service like that that keeps me coming back we bought my son s computer there and I ll be back to see Jeff when my daughter needs a new or used one. Thank You Jeff and all the great staff at Mac Medics.
John
Did a great fast job repairing my iPhone 8 and saving me the trouble of a Genius Bar appointment at the local Mall! Why go anywhere else when the Apple warranty applies here instead? Great job guys!
Disabled Fellow here and long-time customer. I set-up an appointment for service and requested assistance. I backed in out front and salesman saw me exit vehicle (leg-amputee) and he came out and offered assistance.
I love the new location, very convenient!
Nice bright showroom.
Had my work performed on my almost eight y/o MAC and was in and out in one day and damage was reasonable.
ZERO reason to go elsewhere!
My very old iMac video board died and Apple no longer supplies those parts. MacMedics helped get my old drives out of my previous system for restore and I purchased a new 2019 iMac. Very happy with the support, service and sales at Mac Medics in Severna Park!
My 5 year old Macbook Air decided to embark on a long winter nap so I took it to Mac Medics on a Saturday morning. Within 10 minutes of my arrival, Jeff had my machine up and running...good as new! And the price was perfect. Kudos to Jeff and his colleagues at Mac Medics. We're lucky to have such a great store in our neighborhood.
I've been thinking about this place since I've been there, and I just wouldn't recommend it. I went to have my memory upgraded, having been referred to them by the Mac Store in Annapolis. They upgraded my memory. And I appreciate them for that. But the things they did not do are why I won't go back. 1) When fixing my computer, they had to create a MacMedics account. When I picked it up, not only was the MacMedics account still on my computer, but my computer defaults to that account upon start up. They said it was because they forgot to get my password before I left. True indeed, I could have remembered to give it to them. But the fact that they didn't call or email to get it from me, and left the account on there costs me time and hassle every time I use my computer. I'd have to call that laziness. 2) when they upgraded the hard drive, they left it named untitled HD. Why couldn't they take the time to rename it what it was supposed to be named? I guess my biggest issue is this - why wouldn't they take the time to operate in excellence and make my computer as much as possible the same way it was when I dropped it off to them, with the only exception being the service that I paid for. 3) When I came to pick up my computer, the woman who gave it back to me didn't know anything about it. My documents were not where I left them, and she couldn't find them. "They should be...here...no...wait...." The last thing you want is someone giving you back your computer and not knowing where the stuff is that you left on it and need when you get it back. Last thing (and this is a conspiracy theory) when I dropped off my computer, the battery was operating fine. Now...it takes forever to charge and I MIGHT get 90 minutes without it being plugged in. That's a BIG might. Again, conspiracy theory. But it was fine when I dropped it off. Nevermind they sold me an external at a hyped up price, saying there was a shortage in Japan (or Taiwan.) I should have done my research, it's online for at LEAST $40 less. Many times much less. To the person that will defensively reply: all of these statements are true and fair.
For my academic endeavors I opted to purchased MacBook Pro, and since I was not familiar with the MacOS operating system, I didn't want to purchase new. I turned to MacMedics because they were highly recommended and local. In the summer of 2020, I purchased a refurbished 2015 MacBook Pro from Dana. This was a wonderful decision! The device was exactly as advertised. Dana spent quality time answering my million questions (and alleviating my fear of switching from a PC to Mac). Recently, I made a bad decision to download McAfee from the university IT, on the recommendation of the university IT advisor. BED DECISION. After attempting to rectify the uninstall myself, without success... I turned to Mac Medics. Dana was clear, honest and concise in his advice. I trust Mac Medics and will continue to support this business for years to come!
Great experience with MacMedics. Can t thank both Jeff and Doug enough for their help!
So disappointed. Dropped off my 2013 Macbook because the E & I keys didn't work so we could no longer type in the password. My battery was still original and lasted about 90 minutes unplugged so I also asked for a new battery. The plan was to prepare it to be passed down to my kid for homeschooling. I got a call that it doesn't work at all and would cost $950 to fix it. How???? It was working when I dropped it off. Tech says she's not surprised because "It's vintage". I'm so disappointed. It was then told I could pick it up and pay a $25 diagnostic fee or have them recycle it. Again, my computer was working fine and now I need a new computer.
Consistent terrific service and sales. Very knowledgable staff on all things Apple. They have more experience than anyone at the Apple store that I have ever met.
Would HIGHLY recommend..... Great, friendly, and MAC lifesavers
Great service. Friendly and honest. Highly recommended.
These guys have really helped me out a number of times. It is good to know they are close by in Severna Park. Would recommend you stop in if you have a slow or compromised Mac.
MacMedics did a wonderful job installing a new hard drive in my Mac Book Pro. I almost purchase a brand new Mac Book and so glad I contacted Mac Medics first. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Service was great and my laptop was ready when promised. If you need repair on any Apple product, I strongly recommend contacting MacMedics first.
There aren't many Apple Authorized Service Providers that aren't Apple Stores. This place is the best Apple service experience I have had. They did a major repair on my MacBook Pro and had back to me in less than 48hrs! I have recommended this location to several friends.
Wow! These guys are fantastic! Replaced the faulty keyboard on my 2017 MacBook Pro in a day and a half. Dropped it off at 9:00 on Monday and picked it up at 3:00 on Tuesday. Had previously taken it to the apple store and they were claiming 7-10 days for this repair! Who has 7-10 days to cope without a computer! Mac Medics had previously bought a couple of older Macs from my man and his experience was so good he thought I should give them a shot at my repair. This place has all the products of the apple store, plus the peripherals, plus good used products on sale, plus knowledgeable folks, WITHOUT the crowds and wait and other ridiculous stuff associated with apple stores. Highly recommend.
The team here is very knowledgeable and professional. Plus they provide fast service every time.
Super pleased with the service and repairs that I've received Mac Medics.
Mac Medics seems to have figured out how to operate safely and effectively during this time of social/professional distancing. I took my laptop to their store and followed their simple guidelines to drop it off for repairs. The process made me feel as though they take customers AND employees safety seriously. I really appreciated that. Since I hung on to this laptop for about four years after it initially broke before bringing it in, it unfortunately could not be fixed. I received notice of its obsolescence within a quick two days. Okay, no problem, I knew it was a long shot. So I called back to arrange payment for their time investigating my issue and to arrange picking up my dead MacBook. The person answering the phone was great and clear about the issue. Surprisingly, Mac Medics waived the diagnostic fee (which would have been more than fair), and they offered to dispose of it for me. I appreciate this so much because I would have needed to drive all the way to their location just to pick up a computer-turned-paperweight and bring it home. Now I don t have to worry about following up, and I m rid of a piece of non-working tech in home. The process was easy and painless. Obviously these guys know their stuff and care about serving people responsibly. Good employees and a good business. This was my second encounter with them, but my first review. They brought back some computers from the dead on the previous visit. I m a fan.
Unbelievable service. Best I could hope for. Fast, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable. Completely on the ball. I run a business and what I experienced with Mac Medics in Severna Park is a benchmark for what I would like my customers to experience. I'm never going anywhere else for my Mac repairs/service.

Friendly, Knowledgeable and Honest staff that works accurately and fast.
My family has had multiple MacBooks and iPhones serviced at Mac Medics as well as a recent purchase of a new MacBook Air. I can't say enough good things about their service. Every employee I met or spoke with on the phone was super friendly, helpful and patient with my lack of tech skills and went above and beyond to answer my numerous questions. They have kept our devices running smoothly and like new. We are very fortunate to have this store in our area!
All around great.... went to Apple first in Annapolis, for phone power cycling, Apple does whatever they do reset phone etc it s fixed... no it s not so I went to Mac medics because they where local, dropped phone off within 2 hours I was notified what was wrong and was given a day to come back to pick up phone and they stuck to it... communication was by far awesome..... try them out
I was very happy with the service from Mac medics. I recommend everyone to go here, very nice, friendly and fast service!
In 2011, I bought a refurbished desktop computer on a shoestring budget from Mac Medics. It was the cheapest one they had, it was already five years old, a pre-Intel G5 PowerMac. It came with a free CRT monitor, and a six month warranty. It died today, in March 2015, after 4 years of problem-free service. If a company's bottom-of-the-barrel offerings work that well, it's a good sign of the high quality of the establishment. I will be going back to Mac Medics for my next computer purchase!
My MacBook Pro was running slow. Given that it is 7 years old, I thought it was time to replace it. Mac Medics to the rescue! A cleanup and new hard drive later and it's running like new. Mac Medics is my go to for all my Apple product needs!
Last fall I took my "vintage" MacBook Air in for a diagnosis when it seemed to be dying. The cost of bringing it back to life would have been almost as much as purchasing a newly refurbished MacBook Pro that Mac Medics had for sale. I trusted these guys based on their stellar reviews and the fact that their computers come with a 1 year warrantee. My Mac has performed flawlessly! Now, months later, I had a problem with the charger failing to charge. It turns out that it, too, was covered in the warrantee. The guys at Mac Medics are friendly, professional, and brilliant!
My family has been using Mac Medics for many years and the service continues to be excellent; turn around time is very quick and the entire group extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
This is the second time in a month I have used MacMedics in Severna Park. Both experiences were top flight, friendly and professional. All the work completed on time and as advertised. Great place. Use it for your Mac needs! I think you will like it.
They performed a miracle, I thought my IMac was dead after I replaced the hard drive. They brought it back to life and loaded a new OS all for just 49 dollars. I will never visit the Apple store again ! This place is the best.
I had a dream that I walked in and spoke to a live, knowledgeable person who helped me immediately, solved the problem in 2 hours, was on time and for exactly the price quoted. I m kind of floored it was so easy. It was a simple fix (battery) but I was dreading the experience. Skip the mall, shop local, you ll be glad you did. (Kudos to Apple for opening up authorized repair places too).
While they were not able to repair my iPhone they clearly explained why and what my options were. They helped me sort through my options and I had a new iPhone in under two hours. They also helped me clean up my Mac Book Air. Great experts, Great service in a friendly helpful atmosphere.
Always a pleasure working with Mac Medics. Great support and Customer Service. Will continue to recommend these guys when it comes to apple repairs or new purchases.
Fast service, great work, very easy to do business with. Thank you for getting my Mac back up and running.
Terrible experience. Stear clear of this place. I m sure the shop will respond with false accusations like they did on Facebook but that won t stop me from telling my story. Also putting in a BBB complaint.
I walked in with 2 phones (Apple 6S) that Apple told me were eligible for free battery replacements. MacMedics verified that they were eligible and took the 2 working phones.
When I returned 2 hours later, they told me 1 phone was 6 days out of a three year warranty and was not eligible. Apple told me all it took was a phone call and they would have authorized. I went back after the call to Apple and got that battery replaced.
They said the other phone (still in the period to get battery replacement) had water damage and a cracked screen so it could not be serviced (fair enough). However the phone would turn on but the screen was inoperable. So it was not usable...a brick. This phone worked perfectly (besides a fast draining battery) when dropped off.
The owner told me there was nothing he could do and would not take responsibility. So I m just supposed to walk out of there down hundreds and hundreds of dollars with a brick when I went in for a free battery replacement. This is like walking in for a cleaning at the dentist and walking out with hillbilly dentures and a surgical bill. Seriously!!
Still no apology from the owner even when I asked for one. What kind of empathy is that?
He kept stating that i should have disclosed that the screen was cracked (open your eyes, you re the expert!) and he couldn t fix the screen or battery due to Apple s policy on water damage. He says it trumps everything for his ability to fix anything.
All I wanted was the working phone that I walked in with and got zero cooperation. Give me a phone that works! The owner told me that Apple would handle it the same way. I left feeling totally ripped off.
I got to thinking if Apple would actually handle it the same so I called and asked them. They were APPALLED by MacMedics service. Apple sent me a brand new phone at no charge and said they would contact the authorized dealer to discuss.
In response to MacMedics. Check your records. Your #1 is completely false. 1 phone was out of the timeframe. The damaged was not. My point with the phone that was 6 days out of warranty was that it took me a 5 minute phone call with Apple to get them to authorize the service. All I got from you was complaining how your company loses money on these transactions for Apple. Real professional.
Your comment on the time is also false. My appt was at 11am. When I returned in the afternoon, I made sure to call and also made sure to arrive BEFORE your cut off. Again, a false statement.
Concerning the cracked screen and water damage. The screen was clearly cracked, I had no idea that was an issue with getting the repair. You didn t tell me that was an issue when you took the phone and plugged in the password ON THE CRACKED SCREEN.
I wasn t aware there was water damage and wouldn t expect you to fix the phone once you saw it. Just give me my phone back working like it did when I gave it to you. This is what Apple was confused about, if you weren t supposed to take it apart with the cracked screen, why did you take it apart? It s a simple visual inspection.
It was clear that they were not telling the truth when they said the phone worked when it was put back together. They would not let me talk to the tech that worked on the phone and got very uncomfortable to the point I had to walk away because I had my six-year-old son with me. It was honestly the most unprofessional experience I ve ever seen in a place of business.
As you can see, this business has twisted around every situation that they commented about. That says a lot.
I dropped my phone off for a battery replacement. Everything was explained to me in a way that I could easily understand. In less than 15 minutes I received an email stating that my repair was already underway. Two hours later, I received a phone call to let me know that it was all done. The price was exactly as quoted. It is so refreshing to be treated with respect & in such a professional & friendly manner. I now know where we will be going to buy my wife the iPad that she has been wanting!
Friendly and fast service! Needed my iPhone 6s battery replaced and they were able to do it same day
I had a cracked screen on my iPhone. Quick, friendly, knowledgeable service and reasonable prices. This was my first time needing anything repaired on my phone, but it ll be my go-to place!
I knew I was overdue for an upgrade to my MacBook Pro. The local Apple store referred me to Mac Medics. When I arrived, Keith walked me through the options and helped me find the right hardware upgrade for my situation. Got it back the same day! Friendly and professional staff and reasonable price for the service I received. Definitely coming back!
Took my Mac air in because the trackpad was not working. They replaced the track pad and my laptop was ready the next day. Great service , simple and easy.
Excellent, quick service, each time I have needed a fix
Service with a smile!
My 13 year old dropped our family MacBook Air in such a way as to destroy the monitor in the wee hours of the morning on Saturday. We dropped it off to MacMedics by lunchtime, and have it back now, before supper on Tuesday. These folks couldn't be nicer or easier to do business with. They have treated us like family for over 25 years, and we couldn't be happier!
MacMedics was fantastic. Such reliable and wonderful service. I won't take my mac anywhere else.
These people are awesome. They really know the Apple products and they offer great value. Don't stand in line at the Apple store -- go to Mac Medics!
Mac Medics is a good place to take your computers and devices for repairs. My husband and I have had them add more ram to at least 3 of our computers/laptops. They were helpful and courteous. I also like that they are reasonably priced. I am happy with my experience with them.
We have a 5 week old infant and I m lucky enough to be working through this pandemic, so the extra effort by MacMedics to get my phone back together is greatly appreciated. They went above and beyond working with me and my forgotten passwords... to repair my 11 Pro Max that was run over by a few dozen cars. They saved me almost $300 over the replacement cost. Its also great to work with a local shop as apposed to national shipping and worrying about package thieves too.
Terrific service! Took my 2015 macbook air in because it was acting funky. Dana spent about half an hour with me running diagnostics on it which didn't show any internal issues, then cleaned up suspected malware which seems to have resolved all issues. Best part, no fee! This is our second experience with MacMedics - my husband had Apple send him there with his ipad air and also had excellent service and results. Highly recommend them!
Took care of my apple warranty issue under the promised 2hr window.
These guys helped us out and preserved years worth of data while giving our Mac a new lease on life. Super professional, courteous, and Mac EXPERTS! Highly recommend them!
Mac Medics is our go to for all of our computer needs. My daughter just had a phone battery put in her iPhone 6S and works like new. My son is getting his new computer for college there too. Dana is always happy to help and answer my 700 questions!
Fast professional service! I was so pleased to find an Apple authorized dealer/service provider so close to home.
Dana and the entire team have possibly saved my daughter's college semester. A (closer to home) repair shop determined that her MacBook Air had a power issue preventing it from turning on and they were unable to recover her final English term paper - which was due. I took it across the state to MacMedics (on that other repair shop's recommendation) and they determined that it wasn't a power issue at all but a failed hard drive. Even though they were very, very busy and operating under COVID-19 restrictions, they were still able to recover the term paper in time for her to turn it in on time. They definitely have my computer repair business going forward! Thank you MacMedics!
Very friendly and professional!
I was originally going to the Apple Store in Annapolis but, was recommended this location for my dilema. Service was fast and efficient! Found my new go to location for any Apple need!
If I could give it less than one star I would. My husband works in NYC during the week but works around the clock due to the sensitivity of his position/information. He has one computer with the necessary software. He needs a 1-step update. I have called asking about a same-day (meet you are the door @8:30am) turn-around for a simple computer update (10.75) and basically was told 'too bad' with zero desire to work with us or brainstorm a solution. The inability to forecast workload and the lack of customer service was so discouraging. I would have paid a "rush" charge for same day...
Great place to get your mac stuff fixed. They were able to get my laptop's failing hard drive working and also fix my desktop to be good as new. Plus the price was unbeatable. Highly recommended.
I truly enjoyed my experience at Mac Medics. They repaired my battery and worked with me on the time frame I needed to get the phone fixed. Very friendly and knowledgeable
Do not go here for a liquid spill. I spent over $200 on the initial repair at Macmedics because of the high minimum diagnostic fee to get it in working order after the spill. Three months later my daughter was having trouble with the computer again due to corrosion. When I questioned Macmedics they said that they aren't allowed to clean corrosion as they are an Apple Authorized retailer. So, I now have to pay hundreds more to clean the corrosion and fix the computer so that her computer is in working order. Since a liquid spill makes AppleCare void for the duration, there is no need to go to an Apple Authorized service center. The place servicing the computer now couldn't believe that Mac medics didn't spend any time at all cleaning the corrosion from the areas of the computer known to cause problems down the line.
The Severna Park (Baltimore) office of Mac Medics has always met my needs each time I've called on them for assistance. This last time they gave me clear alternatives without pressuring me into making a decision either way. When I decided the work was done quickly and efficiently. I'll keep going there as the need arises.
It has been many years since I have been to any business with this kind of customer service. From the moment I brought my Mac in and discussed the issues we were having with it, to when I went to pick it up EVERYONE was very friendly and professional. I went to pick it up today, I got to the store to find the door locked , I had not realized the store closed at 1 pm on Saturday. I was looking at the closed door wondering how I would get my work done this weekend without my Mac, and the one employee left in the store, Dana, opened the door and asked if he could help me. A little bit later, I left with my computer, very grateful. THAT is service! Thank you!
I came into mac medics with a problem with the Mac OS software update for my computer. The people there where not nice and talking like I made it an inconvience to them because the Macs new update had a problem. They wanted money for it and all you need to do is take it to an actual Apple Store that you see in the malls. My advice is never go into these stores if you have any problems because they are not useful and only care about the money. Go to the actual Apple Store!
I can't say enough good things about the team at MacMedics. They are phenomenal to work with.
My son tipped a cup of coffee on to my brand new MacBook Air last weekend and I took it to the folks at MacMedics. They were quick to diagnose the laptop and tell me there was coffee under the keyboard and that it was recommended to have the computer sent to Apple for repair.
Within three days, I had my computer back and as good as new. They ran a few system checks before they called me to come pick up and I am confident that all is well. What a great group of professionals to work with! I will definitely be back for any future repairs.
I stopped by MacMedics for help with my MacBook Air expecting to leave it for a few days. Dana and the team asked me for a few minutes during which time they diagnosed the problem and repaired the MacBook Air and I was back on my way in 10 minutes. I will definitely continue to bring all my family's Apple products to MacMedics for service and help.
Decent computers to chose from however it smells like cat piss in the store and it is very dirty all over the shelves it s just nasty and the guy that always wears the black hat so low over his eyes is extremely rude and unproffesional to deal with. If you re going to be in the customer service field you should have a better attitude and let your customers be able to look you in the eye. Definitely deal with someone else because they are helpful just not the one guy in general. Oh and if you re allergic to cats probably not the best idea either
I came in today after my iPhone crapped the bed last night. They took me before my appointment (something an apple store will never do). They were then friendly, professional, quick and helpful. They explained to me exactly what was wrong and what they would do for me. I was then out the door within 40 minute, loaner phone in hand. Super experience will definitely recommend and go back!
These guys are the best. I bought a Mac back in 2009 and they recommended an external automatic hard drive back up. The Mac and the hard drive have been running great until I downloaded an update that the Mac definitely did not like. In a panic I called Chris at Mac Medic and he assured me it could be fixed. I dropped the Mac and external hard drive off at their office in Millersville. Two days and $99 later the machine is working perfect. They never try to sell you a product or a service you don t need. In fact, I gave them a credit card to buy some software and they said rather than buying a program they found a trial offer to see if it worked the way I wanted. Once I was satisfied with the product I could charge it on my own. They are an authorized Apple dealer for both sales and service. Pricing is very competitive and service turnaround is extremely quick. Ask about some of the older models and refurbished units they have in stock at really great prices.
Mac Medics has been a great addition to my business and home. Between the office and home we have at least two dozen Apple devices. Several of them have been into Mac Medics for service and my experience has been nothing less than first class, speedy and believe it or not; fixed!!! Getting things fixed the first time around sometimes is a rarity but not with Mac Medics. The ones that could not be fixed have been replaced by Mac Medics. The owner is always on the premisis and hands on. I have not been to the Mall since Mac Medics opened!! Jeff H. will meet you at the front desk and will expedite the service you need.
Thank you,

Everyone is so helpful in this store and answered all my questions. I have now bought 3 macs from here and every time I have gotten great knowledgable service. When i picked up my computer this morning on my way to work I got there before opening time and the tech recognized me and let me in early so that I could get to work. Highly recommend them!
This is clearly a place with a great reputation and I doubt by review will matter but it is worth a shot....
I went to Mac Medics on a Friday afternoon with my 3 year old son. I do not have the luxury of a nanny or drop in daycare service at my whim, so I had to take him with me. My son has special needs, and the owner of Mac Medics was not at all tolerant of this. Doug was the one that assisted me. Very nice gentleman. He was running the free counter service and my son and I were QUIETLY waiting. Doug asked me to provide my apple id password. There was a mix up, my husband's apple ID kept coming up, but finally i was able to enter mine. I entered mine and it asked for a code from one of my devices. It had been sent to my phone. well, my son had my phone and he exited out of it. i asked to please send it again. the owner came over and was clearly irritated with Doug and me. He lectured me that I was taking too much of his time and that they couldn't keep requesting codes from apple and the phone needed to be in my hand. I was really taken back. I didn't know the request for the ID was coming through. He then was clearly irritated with my special needs son.
I left my Mac Book there because my classes start soon and I need my computer fixed, but I would not recommend this place based off principle. I cannot believe this place exists especially with the way the owner treated me and my son. I felt discriminated against because my son does require special attention.
