Had surgery done last summer here at C4. The doctors and nurses were pretty supportive with my recovery, shoutout to RN Ellie for being a sweet nurse when I stayed overnight. in general I don t like hospitals but at least I got through it. I hope everyone s staying healthy & safe from Covid now.

MY FATHER WAS HERE AND THEY DID WRONG DIGNOSTIC AND WRONG MEDICAL PRESCRIPTION..MY GRANDMOTHER CAME HERE AND THEY AND ALSO SEND HER HOME AS SHE SUPPOSED TO STAY IN FOR ISSUES WITH HER HEALTH. I SUGGEST TO GO TO NORTH YORK GENERAL HOSPITAL.THEY ARE MUCH BETTER

Arrived at emergency at 1:30 am with wife passing a kidney stone. She threw up because of the pain. 6:30 am and still no doctor. Two nurses giggling loudly over the cell phone. Should have driven to Buffalo. Absolutely disgusted !

As an Employment Specialist for York Region and Toronto, I came into Mackenzie Health Hospital for some testing to be done and I was very happy to see how amazing the staff are in the facility. The doctors are very wise and friendly, the administration staff are very welcoming, the security are nice, the nurses are very confident and pleasurable to work with. I have to share my experience. Brought in my mom yesterday. Although the wait was long - the staff is absolutely amazing! They go out of their way to accommodate you. The doctor, the nurses, even the security - everybody - seem to do their best to understand and help you! True, the wait is long, but what can you do - too many sick people, too little money :o). A BIG thank you to the personnel!!!

Horrible wait time. Automated check in to be triaged. Lots of people wasting tax dollars filling this emergency room with sniffles and things they should be seeing their doctor or walk in clinic about. Lots of abuse of staff by most of who are waiting to get a Kleenex for their sniffles.

Where do I begin. I thought I was the only one that left the hospital with a sour taste.

First visit was a few years ago where I walked in with partial Achilles tears. triaged all that jazz and patiently waited my turn. Lots of hours go by until a nurse walks me into the other waiting room, where she asked 'did you walk in? You should be in a wheel chair, you might need surgery' sat down in the other waiting room when I was seen by a doctor eventually who suggested I go in a cast for the next few weeks to get the tendons to attach naturally(ended up getting tears again). Nurse cast me up, gives me some crutches and then says doctor will come in and see you. I wait, all casted up, doc comes in and says we'll get you a wheel chair. But then I was told I was good to go, part of me will forever be waiting for that wheel chair lol

Next visit was for mental health regarding mental stability. Waited less then 7 hours to be a assessed a few times by a few nurses. Cool. I was scheduled to see a doctor. 2 or so weeks pass, I go in for the doctors assessment. I was told that the hospital would get back to me in regards to some sort of therapy. Never got that call for therapy.

The wheel chair was all fun and games, but the mental health for me is a problem. What really irked me was I just got a letter in the mail asking for a donation, but I haven't even got a call for therapy or a direction for therapy. I reach out for help and/or direction for mental health and I get nothing, makes me think and feel like asking for mental help isn't worth it since I have jump through so many hoops to get it.

The labor department needs to improve and also the staff mostly Sue is one of the staff she s horrible and very rude to patients! She should not be working with new mothers or new born! Mona and Sarah are really good nurse and very patients with baby s and mother!

CT scan staff are extremely careless and unprofess...

CT scan staff are extremely careless and unprofessional with zero compassion. My 86 year old father with a severe spinal condition went in for a CT scan of his spine yesterday. I brought him to the appointment in a wheelchair as he is in a lot of pain and unable to walk. I was shocked to see a CT staff member quickly force him into a horizontal position on the scanning bed while two others rushed in with lightning speed to lift his legs to put a cushion under his knees. My father screamed in agony. There was absolutely no attempt to be gentle or to move him slowly to minimize his pain. As a result of the sudden forceful movements, my father's spine condition has worsened and he is now in constant agony.

Obviously if you're nearby you don't have a much of a choice, but I don't have a good deal of confidence with the physicians in the ER, nor with the nursing staff.

There appears to be a lot of disorganization and mismanagement.

The biggest issue would be with communication. As a patient I never knew what was happening or what the status was. Tests were scheduled and re-scheduled and it really felt like my nurse didn't really know what was going on, nor was she willing to take a moment to find out (is this test still happening?)

Having consulted with a secondary physician it also appears the Doctor on staff made a wrong call regarding treatment and had zero interest in chatting with patients nor correcting it. I felt a very strong need to be my own advocate and had very little trust in what I was being told.

This hospital desperately needs more funding and better organizational skills - it starts at the top but what I saw was a train wreck of ineptitude and lack of empathy.

If I could summarize it truly felt like no one genuinely cared.

Awful awful hospital!!!! Please don't go! Take the extra 10 minutes and go to another hospital. They don't care about the patients. Nurses laugh at patients in pain! I've never been so disgusted in my life. Takes forever to speak to a doctor! So your left dealing with rude and aggressive nurses! Don't go if you want good care!

Worst hospital ever. Would never come back there! Came with my husband cuz he was very sick and lots of pain.. While waiting in the waiting area planty of people who came after us were already inside and we were still waiting. Not recommended at all! People if you can make a claim on that hospital please do. Very unorganized stuff and environment!

The worst . I arrived with chest pain and I wish the people that works in the hospital would be as nice as the paramedics, but no . I arrived at 8:30 am 2 girls that were trying to make me take a blood test were rude and condescending she got mad at me that I asked to change the paper on the bed and smashed it and the other girl said they don t have time for me and to go sit down they will not take my blood , no one asked me how I feel or if I m going through something. They did test and after 6 hours they sent me home just like that with the horrible pain and no treatment. NO ONE CARES THERE . the 2 girls that are taking blood in the entrance looked like they want to get out of there to go to a party and the doctors are robots !! I rather die on the way to a different hospital then going back there

So Mackenzie Health wants to charge me $30 to print off / email a few sheets of paper to me containing MY medical records. They also said they won't release it unless my doctor agrees that it's okay for me to see it.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Firstly, I'm not a minor. I don't need anyone's permission to see my OWN medical records. Note that this is not something unique to Mackenzie Health. Like many of Canada's ridiculous laws and regulations, this really makes you wonder about the nature of the country you live in.

Secondly, I cannot afford $30. Therefore I am barred from accessing my own medical record that I need for special accommodations.

I tried really hard to not insult anyone or use any curse words but it took a lot of self control. Once again, this is absolutely ridiculous.

A five star rating isn't ENOUGH, from the time I walked through the C wing main doors for my Septorhinoplasty surgery I was very very impressed with the exceptional quality and outstanding care I received as an out-patient. I arrived at 6am and realized that when I got to Mackenzie Health Hospital I had misplaced my health card, (I had dropped it in my driveway) I started to panic, however, the Out-patient representative there made a simple phone call and had my information within minutes, putting my mind at ease. Just down the hall second door on the left I was greeted by a gentleman named Chris. His cheerful attitude and constant reassurance that he will be right with us(my husband & I) made me feel that he really kind. I didn't feel as though I was invisible like all the other institutions I've been in for surgery. The easy in which he conversed with me and my husband put all fear and anxiety to rest. Chris made sure that I was comfortable while waiting to see the nurse Grace. My experience with Grace was pleasant as well. Another worker in the department made sure that I had another warm blanket before I went across the hall, which I thought was a really nice jester. When my surgery nurse as well as the anaesthesialogist came to talked with me cause of some stomach problems I was having my anaesthesialogist assured me that he would give me something to help my stomach. Just the fact that they both came and introduced themselves to me and listened to my concerns, was something that I wasn't expecting, the human contact from the professional to patient made me feel that they genuinely cared about my concerns. While waiting for my surgeon my nurse check on my several times and brought me another warm blanket, at this point I felt all this attention was to good to be true, but it continued in the recovery room. My nurse Tamiss was so very kind and listened to me as I was blabbering to her about my up bringing while the anaesthesia was wearing off. When I was more coherent my wonderful experience didn't stop. The staff in the recovery room was exceptional, very caring and kind and concerned of how I was feeling, making sure that I had more warm blankets, and offering me a choice of beverage, cookies, and even a popsicle, something that wouldn't happen else. Upon leaving the all the nurses wished me well which I thought was also a very nice. My favorite person Chris came with a wheelchair and stood there graciously and chatter with me while my husband went to get the car (which took forever.) Finding out later that the ticket person was having trouble with the ticket machine. My overall experience with Mackenzie Health is definitely a 100% out of 100% and more.

Thank you for a most rememorable experience.

Crappy service wait time was great but I was made to feel like my problem wasn t important I went to get treated for a bowel and bladder issue they did blood work and an x ray to see what was giving me the constipation didn t bother to tell me the cause of it on the print out they gave me.all the sheet said was a uti and constipation that s not helpful not knowing weather it s cancer or what it s cause is I s stressful lousy care if they can t be bothered to tell i the cause hospital shouldn t even exsist.

Terrible experience. It took me forever to get a hold of someone on the phone while my father was at the hospital. Even the circumstances that we are currently in, you would think that the staff would ve would a little more compassionate. Staff have been nothing but rude, with the exception of one nurse who was very helpful. Nonetheless, I do not
recommend going to this hospital.

I just wanted to make a complain about the staff at Mackenzie Health Hospital. Located by Yonge and Major Mackenzie.

2 weeks ago I collapsed on Wednesday and I went there in agonizing pain from my right kidney. The paramedics and ambulance girls were AWESOME! i was in ER and after a bunch of tests they had found NOTHING but a 3mm shadowing in my right kidney wich is calcification. Gave me Perks and Some antibiotics.

Last Wednesday same issue, AGONIZING PAIN, I couldnt breath, I was throwing up, BUUTTT this time the ambulance girls were more worried about asking me FILLER questions such as "which hospital did you go to last time?" .. "How long were you there for?" --- MIND YOU at this point I am passing in and out due to the pain.
The triage nurse decided I wasnt serious enough for the ER, after I BEGGED THEM about the pain and TOLD THEM SOMETHING IS SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH MY KIDNEY...told them Ive been missing school and such cuz of the pain...they send me to fast track, where i sat from 10pm-2am, with an inflated RIGHT SIDE. SO after throwing up infront of everyone for those 5 hours I decided to ask the nurse to let me lay down on a bed so I dont keep passing out on the chair. She said "No, all beds are taken"- meanwhile a guy with a broken finger was sitting on a bed.
After getting attitude from EVERY SINGLE NURSE WHO WORKED THE NIGHTSHIFT IN FAST TRACK ON SEPTEMBER 18/2013. along side of ALOT OF NOT NEEDED MORPHINE, DR. FU DECIDED IT WAS NOTHING and gave me more morphine to keep me queit.. My brother, fiance and I decided I am going to check myself in to another hospital.

ST. MICHAELS HOSPITAL found a 7mm KIDNEY STONE that has damaged my kidney and Urinary tube WHILE IT WAS TRYING TO PASS ON SEPT 18/2013...the same day when DR FU and the HORRIBLE staff at MACKENZIE HEALTH decided it was nothing and I was just complaining. DR POLEY AND DR KINGSLEY ARE AMAZING AT ST MICHAELS HOSPITAL !!!!!! THEY SAVED ME !!!

I JUST WANT TO SAY MACKENZIE HEALTH HELPED THIS STONE RUIN MY KIDNEY. I am also happy the nurses you hire dont want to be there, and dont take patients seriously.
THANK GOD FOR ST. MICHAELS HOSPITAL AND THEIR AMMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING AND FRIENDLY STAFF !!!! never have i recieved such care and love from nurses. they all have BIG SMILES and dont mind getting you an extra blanket !!! NO ATTITUDE AT ALL... everyone apologized to me for being in pain !!!! HATTTTS OFF TO YOU St. MICHAELS !!!!

Mackenzie health you should learn a thing or two. people come to you guys in pain to be comforted. GIVING PATINETS ATTITUDE ISNT WHAT WILL KEEP YOUR REPUTATION CLEAN!

Went in for a eye injury at emergency. There were two doctors and 12 rooms and even when you were seated in a room it was still over an hour wait. Two people got so fed up they yelled and left while waiting for results. Got my eye finally checked, never cleaned it, let iodine run down all over me and ushered me out the door. Worst hospital I've ever been to, dirty to as the stereo I was at had old used medical stuff laying around. Horrible.

Had an MRI at Mackenzie Health earlier in the year and had a great experience. The appointment was on time and the staff were very hepful. I was impressed with the modern equipment, and they sent the results promptly to my family doc. Really great all around.

Brought my wife to the Emergency Department on Jan...

Brought my wife to the Emergency Department on Jan 07 at 10pm with acute abdominal pain.
After waiting for 4hrs Doctor who did the first assessment touched her abdomen with one finger through the fleece jacket she was wearing and sent us for Lung X-Ray ?!
We insisted on Appendix Ultrasound and it was ordered but we had to wait for it till 12pm next day!!! What kind of Emergency department is that?
Finally US found gallstones.
Its very disappointing that out huge tax money go to pay for such pure and unprofessional health care. Will try to avoid Mackenzie Hospital for future needs.

I went into the hospital on a Friday, hardly able to breathe, and by Saturday morning I had a visit from a respirologist (wonderful Dr. Abdelshaheed). He came and drained 1.5L of fluid from my right lung and I was so relieved I could finally breathe again. I also saw Dr. Wu (a great cardiologist) who had amazing bedside manners, and he was able to diagnose afib and prescribed medications to assist me with this condition. I was in the hospital until the following Friday and during that time, I told my friends I was staying at the Mackenzie Health spa (the food was better than anticipated - Cesar salad with chicken, pork chops with Apple and cranberry sauce, and the list goes on). My whole experience was memorable in a positive way for a situation that could've been quite serious.

Very unprofessional setting staff don't really understand their responsibilities within their department. A close friend of mine had his grandmother treated there with a hip surgery. While she was in recovery, and had virtually no mobility, she ended up going to the bathroom and requested assistance to help change her. She kept buzzing for over two hours, sitting in her own filth and being on an angle where it came very close to her surgical site. Finally, an individual came and said he didn't have time to help her, but would be back shortly and never came. It was only until after my friend and his family arrived, was something done. THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT A HUMAN! Slaves got better treatment.

Most Ridiculous hospital.!! Doctors are rude so rude, they handle you harshly. The triage nurse hit my shoulder saying pull the sleeve up, that shoulder was injured. I told her it s injured she didn t apologize or anything she hit the other one saying ok pull this sleeve up. And she was so harsh and rough that she gave me thrombophlebitis.!! Now i was already injured on right shoulder and now i cant use my left its even worse. Its worsening my injury on shoulder as well. So ridiculous freaking animals. Had severe vomoting anf dirrhea, i couldnt move the pain was that bad, my house mate called the ambulance Waited for 4 hours even after getting there on ambulance l. The nurses yelling at patients. I couldnt even say anything or react or respond bcz i was ill and they took advantage. Ridiculous. That nurse is in trouble will be suing the nurse and hospital both.!! These animals need some lesson.

I have been a patient at Mackenzie Health on four...

I have been a patient at Mackenzie Health on four separate occasions.(2000, 2007,2011.2016). All of my experiences have been very positive. The staff have all been extremely caring and compassionate. My family and I are so thankful and grateful for the exceptional quality patient care available in our community and so close to home. Three of my hospital stays were cancer related and most recently had surgery for a total knee replacement.

I am so fortunate to have received such excellent physical and emotional support from doctors and staff that I have agreed to become a volunteer ambassador for the hospital.

My husband is spinal cord injured from an accident...

My husband is spinal cord injured from an accident 27 years ago that left him paralyzed from the shoulders down. Do to some issues that come from this, we have had to rely on the care of the emergency and ICU staff and have had excellent care over the years. Thank you and please continue to support our local hospital so we all can keep receiving great care from competent caring doctors, nurses and all the staff that keeps this hospital one that we can be proud of.

Came in there last night with chest pains. It did not look too busy. The pregnant lady at the triage was very rude and snappy. They took my blood work and did another test. While the test was being done, one of the nurses was sitting on a table chatting with her co workers. Anyways I waited for several hours in the waiting area. Nobody came to update me on anything. As for the nurses there, your job is to help people whereas from what I saw last night you treat them like garbage.

I was in the resuscitation room on July 8th and Jasmine was my nurse. She is amazing. She made me feel comfortable and actually listened to what I had to say about my health issues. I adore her and I could not have asked for a better nurse. Jasmine, if you read this I want you to know that you're a gem!

It's simply a waste of your time....go to Bayview or drive all the way to trillium mississauga much quicker and efficient.....this hospital as never had reasonable wait times.... I try to avoid like a plague but every time I'm stuck coming here, it is a minimum of an 8 hours wait.....I understand that Richmond Hill has great schools but their hospitals are really really bad!

EMS was great. Staff friendly and polite but place was disgustingly dirty and crowded. Four hours in and still waiting to find out if I had a heart attack. Washrooms were gross and area for taking blood had blood on the needle receptacle bin and the wall. I would think a hospital would be more sanitary. Very disappointing.

Had baby last week; staff were great in all departments from doctors and nurses to lab techs and those who deliver meals. Only 1 thing missing that is pretty important and that was having a lactation consultant visit to ensure breastfeeding is done properly.

Second time I come for an appointment with Dr Marchee and it s the same wait time...over 1 hour sitting and waiting. Ridiculous! What s the point of setting up a time if you re going to wait this long. This is worse than a walk-in clinic!

We came at 9am for xray on my mom's wrist that took 2.5 hrs until done. Then we were told to go to fracture clinic for casting since the doctor in the minor injuries won't arrive till 2pm. So we went to fracture clinic and was told to wait since we came from emerg and people with appointments will go first. That was 11:45am. The helpdesk nurse did not even gave us any ticket no. and did not take my mom's name saying they already know about her. To make story short we waited until we are the last patient and that was 4:30pm. What a disappointment! We even asked her if we can just do an appointment but was told just to wait??? Will not even tell us when my mom timewise will be served! What added the insult to injury is that other emerg patients that came after us about 8 of them were served before us. What a mismanaged clinic! So disappointed especially this is my 1st time coming to these hospital. Like there was only the 2 of us left in the waiting room and no one came to us telli g us its our turn as they all went home except for the casters/doctors inside. This is actually 0 as in zero star but i cant do it here. WORST hospital in GTA in service!

I had previously bad experience with this hospital...

I had previously bad experience with this hospital. For the previous years I've been there few times myself and with my mom. The cleanliness and wait time was terrible.The mammogram test had to be repeated, because it wasn't properly done first time.
This year I had an x-ray test and this visit was very pleasant, especially comparing to the previous experience. No appointment had to be booked in advance, I came in and registered, the staff was very helpful, everything was very fast. That's why I would give probably 3 starts now. Don't know so far if there are any improvements in Emergency room. Hopefully, the management will continue working on improving the service.

2019 update. Had a surgery scheduled at 9:30AM. The surgery was moved to the end of the day without any reasonable explanation. I had to be fasting for the surgery, so I didn't eat or DRINK for almost 24hrs and at the end my body was fully dehydrated, so when nurse tried to put IV for me she couldn't find veins while normally it was never a problem for me. I felt so bad, so I fainted. Then they had to call for the anesthesiologist to do it and after they manage it, they informed me that my surgery CANCELLED! So I has starved for whole day, poked with needles multiple times in VAIN! Looks like previous improvement was just a temporal, unfortunately.

I went in for Day Surgery. Was super nervous since the last time I went under the knife was 26 years ago. All I can say was that the experience was fantastic. The staff were super friendly from start to finish. They eased all my worries. I felt like a million bucks after my procedure. Would definitely choose this hospital again. Keep up the good work.

What a horrific experience with this hospital. My Mother would be alive right now if it weren't for the careless and unattentive staff at this hospital. The mistakes they made and neglect caused my mother to lose her life. She went in with an obstructed bowel which should have and could have been fixed however, because of the mistakes and neglect, I no longer have my mother. I will NEVER return to this hospital nor will I allow my family to go there no matter how far we have to go to get the treatment we deserve as human beings.

Horrible hospital. Go to Newmarket if you have to. I spent an entire day in a bed of my own blood because a nurse didn't know how to take blood. Another nurse didn't know how to do an IV and after a hysterectomy, they gave my mother only Tylenol for the pain. No morphine, nothing while she was there. I've seen garbage on the floor with meds and needles on the floor. Unsanitary hospital with horrible nurses who should not be nurses. The doctors we've dealt with are good.

Badly run hospital..went to emerg the other night with my mom having a heart issue.....nurses with attitude......was told by my Dr. they would phone ahead and rush her in,,,didn't matter... .the lady doing triage had the classic "I will get to you when I am good and ready attitude"... .a couple of the emerg nurses were okay but most of them give you attitude if you ask simple questions like "when is the DR coming"...one was a beaut "he has 30 other patients to see, he will get to you when he is ready".....and when I asked about being discharged because it was clear their work was done..."whenever he gets here is when you leave"....they have people sleeping in the hallways and no beds left to give yet they kept us in a bed in emerg for probably 1 1.5 hours longer than they needed to simply because we had to wait for the Dr to say "ok". I have experience with other local hospitals...this is the worst..

I use to live in Richmond hill but moved to the city so it has been some time since I have been back to Mackenzie health and I have to admit I read the reviews prior to coming and was hesitant , my mother broke her wrist and we were dreading the overall hospital emergency wait time but my experience was absolutely outstanding that I have to make the effort to write something outstanding . The staff were kind the doctors especially doctor Eduart Kokalari was very pleasant, knowledgeable, made my mom feel comfortable and added to The entire positive experience. The wait for emergency was outstanding , quicker than a walk-in clinic. I am so impressed and so happy with the overall experience that I will make every effort to bring my family or myself to this hospital because the care provided was above average. The renovation in the emergency was also very nice. I also never write reviews but this really meant a lot and I believe good people and great service deserves recognition. Thank you .

This place has zero service policy. Best to show up 2 hours late for your appointment as they will let you jump the line. I counted 5 people who showed up late (per their words) and reception puts them in next. They have a policy of sorts where they say you get in within 80 minutes of your appointment but that s not true given the jump the line first class service given to those who show up late.

You wait long hours just so the doctor barely checks you out and gives you a quick, unreliable diagnosis, just so that he can discharge you as quickly as possible and be done with you. Makes his job easier, but your life more miserable.

I came to the hospital to retrieve some medical documents. I idled outside the main entrance, with my 4-ways on, away from any cars and leaving plenty of room for anyone to pass. I returned to find a parking ticket. After coming in, being handed the documents and leaving, I'm pretty sure it was less than 3 minutes. THAT'S WHY I IDLED. I received a parking fine of $150. For a hospital, a place where people are already experiencing pain and grief, this is disgusting. The parking officer, M. Burt, described in his ticket statement that he waited a few minutes before giving the ticket. I know you lied. I'm sure you make a fine living, better than most of the people around you, working for the government and preying on the vulnerable. Government dollars well at work. Pathetic

I did the blood test and called the next week for the appointment, the doctor was on vacation and still after more than 6 months haven't heard back from them for the next appointment. And I was the patient of the anthology part, any cancer can grow terrible after 6 months! Now that I called the receptionist says that they have no records available!

Good service but $6 for WiFi is terrible. Especially since you will be waiting for possibly a long time. Customers would be much more patient if WiFi was open so they could get work done while waiting instead of growing more and more angry with the wait.

Worst hospital ever. I live across the street from the hospital and I avoid calling 911 as I know that is where I land. I personally have many health problems and the healthcare I have received on numerous occasions at Mackenzie Health has literally put my health at grave risk. I will travel down to St Michaels whenever possible as they provide a consistent far superior level of care. What a shame, and waste of a local Richmond Hill hospital. Do yourself and loved ones a favour, and head to any other GTA hospital over MacKenzie Health. And I most definitely recommend St. Michaels Hospital if you can handle the drive.

I am currently recovering from a minor operation here, and am horrified of lack of professionalism by the nursing staff. Since being in my room from 12:30pm, I have NEVER been checked on by nurse or given any updates on my status. I have had to probe for the information I've got and request a nurse visit multiple times by intercom system just to get water.

Wife had surgery 1 week ago and had to call ambulance to bring her to emergency. Have been here for over 7 hours and they still havent addressed her issues. All theyve done is take her blood pressure and give her a ct scan. When I try to politely ask questions of the staff, they are rude and treat you like you are a bother to them. If you are in any industry where you have to interact with people, especially in healthcare, you should learn patience and respect!!

As a 35 year RegN I am totally appalled with the way this hospital is managed .. the staff outright LIES about meds, hides them from you when asked about what is being given .. our Dad was lucid from Mon to Frday .. Sat & Sun he was sedated with ?something? and he was out to lunch !!! Again, the nurses, AND the doctor were not forthcoming with an explanation.
He has been shifted to 4 floors .. in 7 weeks, and is now going to Palliative Care ..
I am from out of town and like to call my Dad .. HAHAHa .. the phones on all 4 units have NOT worked !! OR, they were hidden and unable to be found, asinine !!
How can this Hospital be accredited ??
Our hospital way up North is a dream !!!! Never have I not been able to have an intelligent UNDERSTANDABLE with a nurse .. unreal .. SHAME ON YOU !!!!!!!

I am thankful to the staff of Mackenzie Health. I spent a couple of hours in Emerge and although the doctors could not determine what the problem was it does not mean that they did not investigate. I did not feel like I was just a number even though they were quite busy. I appreciated the extra blankets being placed on me that I did not have to ask for.

Chasing Doctors and nurses for days to get info about a very sick person and no one talks to you while we are not allowed to get inside .this hospital is extremely nasty and very unsafe to even walk in . Patient finally released with no proper report on the conditions and sent home with no info on what is or was wrong . This place is not to standard

The hospital is pretty good and the staff are pleasant. Patient volumes are overwhelming though, be prepared to spend a whole day waiting in the ER before you are seen. For most medical situations you're better off going to an urgent care clinic. I've had two experiences coming to the ER here over the past few years. One time we just gave up and left after spending the entire afternoon waiting, another time it took us a good 8-9 hours before we were finally able to leave the hospital after seeing someone.

My daughter is there right now with my grandson....he had a fever of 106 F and nobody would even look at him until they were able to get $700 to the hospital, and they are still waiting! My beautiful grandson is two years old! What kind of medical care is this!!! All I can do is pray right now that this place will take better care when he is finally seen by a doctor.

The staff of the Centre were extremely attentive, efficient and thorough and the Pediatrician we had seen was an absolute doll. This all helped to calm our nerves and to put my son at ease. I don't know how to say,I had an appointment on October 6th,8:30am, and I try to cancel it on October 5th and I call 3 times to the department said I have an appointment need to cancel but the co-worker said to me I don't have any appointment with them, I got a phone call from this hospital few days ago and I called the number back but they cannot find me.I hope them can work on this.Please at least give a confirm call that I cancelled.
