We always enjoy our anniversary dinner at The Wayside Inn. The service is never bad, food is wonderful, and the scenery is amazing, especially in the fall. The ice cream puff is reason enough to go there!

went there with my mom, sister, nana and pepe. It was amazing the meals were to die for, the theme of the restaurant is rustic and very comfortable. The man who served us was very polite and respectful. The wait was not very long at all and quite fast.

Wayside Inn has a special place in my heart. This Inn is so cozy and quaint and I love stopping for a drink or having Thanksgiving dinner here with my family. The dining area is rustic with a fireplace and you truly feel like you have stepped away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The property and outskirts have a gorgeous country feel. I haven t stayed overnight here but it s on my list! Do yourself a favor and have a drink at the bar. You ll feel like your back in the olden days, it s very cool.

Place reminds me of a Disney World restaurant. A selection of items on the menu, but each item is done to perfection. The server was friendly and very informative. The Indian Pudding is something to try.

Longfellow's Wayside Inn is a beautiful and pleasant colonial-style inn. Their menu is quite varied and we have never had a bad meal there. The staff are friendly and courteous, and the service is high quality. In the winter months there are warm and welcoming fires throughout the Inn adding to the colonial ambiance. Highly recommended!

This historical landmark in Sudbury features Colonial dining at a still functioning Inn featuring Old English food in New England Style . I'm giving it Five Stars based on the food though service tends to be a bit slow especially during the holidays but the people are very friendly and it's not the type of experience you would want rushed. In winter time there's a fireplace in each dining room festively decorated for the holidays. The salmon Dijonnaise is to die for served with seasonal butternut squash and whipped mashed potatoes. Spend some time upstairs and visit the original rooms roped off to show how life was back in the 1600s or browse the hallways to view artwork by local artists.

My friend and I arrived ahead of our reservation and they will happy to let us in. We had the nicest waitress. She was smiling and helpful and she did not keep coming back to ask how is everything. Everything was great.

The food was excellent and the atmosphere was historic and unique. The food was expensive but worth it for the total experience.

I had clam chowder that was creamy and loaded with clams. My son had lobster pie that was filled with large chunks of lobster. Everything was delicious.

Found this hidden gem and were very glad we did! Delicious food and great service! Thier seafood and meats are both amazing. Medium priced but quality far exceeded many more expensive joints we've been to recently. So good we had to come back a couple days later to try more!

My wife and I took a two day getaway and had an amazing time! As a boy I played bass drum in a fife and drum Corp from CT and we came up once a year in September for the muster/colonial fair. I always wanted to spend the night at the inn but we always camped out in the back field. Finally at 45 I got my chance! We slept in room 9 and it was incredible.staying at the inn is like being transported back in time, you really feel like you are in the colonial times. The staff was amazingly knowledgeable about history and artifacts at the inn.the food was delicious and there was a wide variety. Our favorite thing was to sit in the tavern next to the fire and just relax....we will be back again for sure!

Wonderful atmosphere, great service and prime rib. Other meals, broiled scrod and filet mignon, were very good and dessert great. Only wish we were there during daylight hours to enjoy the surrounding area.

I love this place and you will too if you like olde Americana, wooden tables and dim lighting with a few fireplaces lit up to give you that old time feeling like you stepped back into the 1675 Year to 1765.

Great service and welcoming. The menu is basic and New England traditional food. Nothing hot and spicy here. Meat, fish, potatoes, salads, excellent bar for a hot toddy or your favorite mixed-drink.

This place shines in the fall, winter and spring. Have a nice time and don t forget to make reservations. It will be a memorable time.

I had dinner at The Wayside Inn 5 yrs ago with friends and I insisted on going back there when a good friend and I vacationed in New England last week. Our experience was very good the first time & even better this time. The food was extraordinary, the service was exemplary, and the surroundings are so special. Our Wayside Inn visit really topped off our vacation with a wonderful memory. We'll definitely go back there again someday.

I love the Wayside Inn. I recently stayed there for one night and I experienced the warmth and charm that exudes from that place. On the property, there is a fairytale-like grist mill, two ponds, hiking trails, an old church, a beautiful garden, outside dining space, and a one room school house. There's also an ice house and a big field, perfect for playing and picnicking. My girlfriend and I woke up early and went on a walk around the property. The mill was so beautiful and quiet. In the inn, there is so much beauty and history. We stayed in room nine, which is totally haunted, as it is one of the original rooms from the 1700s. Everything in our room was clean and so quaint and old. The dark wood throughout the inn will make you feel transported to colonial times. The hospitality of the employees is unreal. They are so nice. We had a slight issue with our meal (fatty prime rib) and they refunded us. But don't worry, the food is great. Will be back very soon!

Great food. Great service. I had the lamb and my wife had the pot roast. Both were authentic New England dinners. Didn't love the deserts, but I believe them to be authentic 200 year old recipes. I think I have become too used to too much sugar. The windows are running. You get a feeling that John Adams or George Washington may be in the next room.

As a visitor, I found the people friendly and the location beautiful. The employees have an obvious dedication to preserving the history and keeping it alive for guests and visitors. I plan to return.
