My wife and I took a two day getaway and had an amazing time! As a boy I played bass drum in a fife and drum Corp from CT and we came up once a year in September for the muster/colonial fair. I always wanted to spend the night at the inn but we always camped out in the back field. Finally at 45 I got my chance! We slept in room 9 and it was incredible.staying at the inn is like being transported back in time,you really feel like you are in the colonial times. The staff was amazingly knowledgeable about history and artifacts at the inn.the food was delicious and there was a wide variety. Our favorite thing was to sit in the tavern next to the fire and just relax....we will be back again for sure!
