I have been coming here since I was a kid. We have never had a bad meal! Love the old American theme and the cozy, historic feel of this place. It's absolutely gorgeous and the food is always spot on. Favorite is the prime rib dinner. The squash side is amazing.
Also they bring out such an awesome bread assortment that you can fill up on just that so he careful!

My girlfriend and I decided to stop for dinner last night that the Wayside Inn Restaurant. We had an amazing time! The old timey ambiance mixed with the top notch service by our waitress Katie, really made for a great date night dinner. We both had the Prime Rib which was one of the best ones I have had yet! The drinks were excellent with her getting the Prosecco and I, the Manhattan. All around a great time!

Went for lunch, which was very tasty. All our table had great food, from fish to lamb to steak. Sides were tasty, and dessert, too. Good choice, warm service! Very picturesque surroundings and it was easy to find.

Food was fantastic. Setting was beautiful and site has a lot of history. Waitress was very hospitable and really provided great service. Great place to take your significant other for a night out or if you are celebrating something special.

Historic on beautiful property. Delicious meals. Gotta love a place that gives you crackers & cheese AND bread before the meal. Seafood casserole is one of my favorite staples. Indian pudding is my favorite dessert. Staying overnight is fun if you don t mind the old school style (i.e. no TVs). Try and get room #9 if you can! Great breakfast, too.

I had visited this historic Inn as a child on family vacation. I was magical then. I stayed again while on a college tour trip with one of my daughter's this last tuesday. It is still just as magical. Blanketed in snow the views as we arrived were breath taking. Once inside we found our room clean comfortable and historic. The staff was so kind and helpful and anticipated our ebery need. As the 3rd Noreaster of the year descended upon us we we chose to stay another night. It was an unexpected treat to be stranded in heavenly place. Warm cozy fires and snow draped views out every window. The food at the Inn is amazing. A wide variety of dishes to suit everyone's taste with fresh ingredients prepared by expert chefs and graciously served. The deserts are definitely worth saving room for. The Inn owner has a professional staff committed to keeping every guest happy. This place is a wonderful venue for a wedding or small conference. So peaceful and away from it all. We will definitely return.

Came through as a tourist, excellent poetry and giftshop with a beautiful view of glasslands with a cute Mill and church, excellent atmosphere, but other than that nothing of the facilities stood out

My Red Hat friends and I, about 10 of us, have made it a yearly event to have lunch at the Longfellow's Wayside Inn in Sudbury. We make the trip up from Lakeville, MA to go apple picking in Stow Ma and go to lunch from there. The food tastes homemade. I've had the pot roast and it was delicious. The chicken pie was a big hit. We are all very fussy about where we eat, the quality of the food and the service and ambiance. The Wayside Inn deserves a 5-star rating. We are looking forward to eating there again next month and I'm sure we will not be disappointed.

Love stepping back in history! Good food at affordable prices but the best part is the ambiance. Don't miss the tavern where you are likely to see the local dim and fife troop practicing for an upcoming scirmish.

We had an oddly over familiar, yet slightly inattentive server & recieved meals that were merely okay. I say "merely okay" because the quality of the cornbread and the deserts made up for the abysmal fish offerings.
This was a rather great disappointment because we had briefly considered hosting our wedding at this location, because many family members have hosted events at the inn & chapel in years past.

I love Wayside Inn for both the inn and the restaurant. The rooms in this historic Inn are charming and comfortable. Breakfast is included and served in the restaurant. They have a good variety on the menu, such as eggs, pancakes, and lighter fare. The corn muffins use cornmeal that they grind in the gristmill. Delicious! The restaurant can be busy at dinner. It's slightly pricey, but flavorful. The Indian pudding is an unusual dessert.

Attended a wedding here, was the perfect great size for the ~100 guests. The risotto was fantastic, and the portions I saw for the meat dishes were HUGE. The bartender was not very friendly which detracted from our experience somewhat, but all in all not too bad. I think the dance floor can be a bit bigger too.

This is an amazing piece of New England history. There has been food and beverage service at this location for 300 years, since the original home owner received a permit to operate a tavern attached to his home. The USA is just 241 years old! The food served includes many hearty dishes, such as beef stew. I cannot comment on anything except the prime rib, which both I and my companion both ate. We were at the Inn on Father's day, and the place was very busy. However busy it was, our waitress, Vickie, was very attentive. The food was delicious. The dark beamed ceilings of the dining room we were in certainly evoked the feeling of an old roadside inn. The outside country setting and nearby water wheel completed the the perfect picture.

We had the same Waiter we had three years ago. Excellent service, excellent food. But we we're a little surprised at the appearance of the desk associate. They were pleasant enough but really not put together in the best way to representative for the venue.

Historic colonial atmosphere. Grounds picturesque. Menu had decent selection. I had the lobster salad roll with fries. About 7.5 inch roll full of lobster, bite size chunks. Typical taste. Personally I prefer the warm buttered style served at 99 Restaurant. For a very tasty cold version, try the Coast Guard House, Narragansett, RI.

Not only lovely but has a great location. Next to many fine restaurants and shops an about eight blocks to the beach. The included breakfast is very good and the rooms are super comfortable and well appointed. Will recommend it any time and will stay here again for sure.

I had such a lovely experience here. The scenery is beautiful and makes the atmosphere so calming. There's plenty of rich history behind the Inn and you can read all about it and see what it looked like in the past. The service was pleasant. Our bartender was especially delightful. This is definitely a good place to go to get a taste of New England.

Having lived in New England all of my life, this was a place that I had never been before and now that I ve gone, I can t believe I hadn t been before! It s quintessential New England. Dozens of little rooms leading into other rooms, making it a great location for cozy and intimate small parties. Great to come here in the fall. Lovely gardens and barns and walking trails to entertain yourself. Live music in the yard. Amazing food as well, big portions! Highly suggest the Prime Rib!

You can never go wrong going to the Wayside Inn. It's the best place around to bring someone from out of state. They never fail to impress. I brought a friend from AZ there & believe Longfellow's Wayside Inn is 1 of the main reasons she may move here! She really thought it was awesome! Thank you!

The food was excellent; portions were huge! We got the 300th anniversary prix-fixe special hoping to try several small plates, but they were all huge, full servings. Definitely worth the visit!
