I got there at 17:20 on a Friday (advertised closing time is 18:00) and all the cashier desks were in the process of closing for the day. The only person I spoke to was the girl at the reception desk who told me the tills were closing for the day. When I told her all I wanted was to change my address so I just needed to complete a form and have them process it she said she didn't know if they had any copies of the form already printed and that I should just download it from their website myself and come back the next day.
Used to use it to get change for my shop but have stopped going there. There's usually people on the door asking you how you are and directing you to self-service machines etc but few actually doing any work at the desks, resulting in long queues and people getting ratty. Staff in my experience are at best off-hand and at worst quite rude. For such a busy location it's incredible how bad this branch is. Sad.
Branch manager Anthony was fantastic with solving my issues. Kudos and much appreciated!
Very rude staff the manager is very arrogant and can t help me, send me away from the store.
This has to be the worst run bank ever after very bad experiences about 10 years ago I hadn't been here since thought might have improved but clearly not massive queues quite a few staff standing around chatting but only a handful doing anything, Lloyd's head office must really sort this branch out as does the brand zero favours!
Worst bank ever! Rude personal and stupid policies! Avoid Lloyods bank! Lottie Cook said to me that she doesn t care about what I need(to change a note and pay into someone s account) because I don t bank with them and they don t care for my needs! I find this attitude extremely upsetting as her income is based on the branch function and not only, any person is a potential client. Well I m never going to bank with Lloyods, I m preferred client on different bank that respects everyone!
Don t be fooled, cashiers close at normal time which is 17.00hrs and only provide advice like come back tomorrow thereafter.
Simply a joke. Bank opens until 6pm - in couple mins after 5:30. What it was planned to be an easy can I put some money into my account, please? situation was interrupted by an outrageous we cannot make any cash transactions after 5pm ?!
It s the very first ever time a bank denies their clients (who trust their moneys to mr Lloyds) to do business with them?!
We can only laugh at this, indeed - but please, save yourself some time and think twice before believing you can actually do any banking at this branch. I think it s more of a boutique venue or something?
Somebody find the logic, please!
Really irritating and disappointing experience, tried to make a cash deposit and couldn't because despite the bank closing at 6, apparently their services stop at 5, which is absolutely useless. Conveniently, no manager was in to speak to.
I went 4 times to this branch and each time got different versions of what they accept as proof of address to open an account with them. 4 times, 4 different versions, so each time they ended up refusing to accept my documents and asked for alterations because they were not able to clearly communicate what is acceptable or not. Complete waste of time and poorly trained and careless employees.
Woefully understaffed at lunchtimes. When there are long queues. Told that a staff member couldn't help as they were taking a lunch break. At lunchtime. At peak busy time. Sigh.
DISAPPOINTED!!!
Absolutely awful customer service and wrong attitude from Nalini Bharadia in Victoria street branch!!
I was about to let it go but it bothers me too much that I have been a client to Lloyds for more than 12 years, for both personal and business accounts, I don't deserve that such rude and total wrong attitude!
Nalini Bharadia is a Cashier, but I noticed her first time in the branch when she was shouting at a client, Lloyds bank can check the video, I am sure there was a record.
Today was my turn. I was in the queue to be served and she rudely said that they only serve to the client, in front of me, even though I was in the queue.
I was politely trying to talk to her but she completely 100% ignored me as if I didn't exist on earth, but then turned to the guy who right behind me if she could help him??? Seriously??
Maybe my skin does not look the same to the client who right after me? Is that the issue??
I should get a mask to get her attention next time I come???
The Cashier next to her today was really nice and helpful, though, she got the service done to me that I really appreciate, she did say sorry for her colleague, Nalini Bharadia's attitude.
Terrible experience and don't feel like I would return to the Victoria street branch!!!
Inefficient. The other Lloyds branches are much better.
Before venturing out this morning to Lloyds Bank Victoria, I read through some of the reviews posted here and couldn't believe that a bank branch could be rated so badly. I arrived at 9am as I had a very important transaction to make today. When the doors opened I was greeted by a bank associate, who seemed plesent enough, but immediately went on to tell me that I couldn't withdraw any cash (I do not have a card with this bank, only savings) and that all the teller positions were all closed. She said it was a software update, so rather than me getting upset I told her I would just wait. She then told me they had been waiting on it since yesterday and that it could be all day, and that if I needed cash I should go to another branch. I find it unacceptable that I cannot get to my funds because their IT department is inept. A bit worrying really, so I will be moving all my savings out of Lloyds in the near future.
The people who work here are probably some of the dumbest people I have ever come across in customer service. I would say your average checkout operator has more intelligence and personality. Avoid this branch and go to a different one.
Brilliant service! I walked in to have my passport certified as I was applying for an international account. Before I had even made it to the counter, I was approached by a member of staff who not only certified my passport but also helped me with the entire International application process and offered to send the documents via internal mail, which meant that it reached the international branch faster. This was the type of personal, and adaptable customer service that really made a difference.
I rarely go into a bank but am always happy with this Lloyd s branch. Good service by pleasant people.
It looks like a Lloyds Bank but actually it is a waiting room; a good place to get out of the crowds or rain as it is nearly impossible to carry out a financial transaction here unless you have been gifted with psychic powers to know which piece of equipment is going to be broken today.
If you are seeking to pay in a cheque (the most unlikely transaction in the modern age) then you may be in luck but want to work with cash (either in or out)? Very unlikely. As a justification why we should go completely digital and do away with physical branches, Lloyds make a very compelling case with this one.
Very disappointing experience, would not recommend this branch .
If I could I would give 0 star.
the Staff are not prepared to deal with people. they don't even listen what We have to say before refusing to do what We ask.
They seem like robot.
Terrible customes service, across the street there is HALIFAX, staff great and ready to dealing with people.
Apalling service, if you could call it service. Never stepping in that place again and moving all my accounts away from Lloyds
I'm moving to London from Ireland. I made an appointment to open an account. When making that appointment I showed my proof of address to the lady (Louise in Oxford street branch) who told me it was okay.
When I went to the appointment a week later I was refused and told another form of proof was needed from my University. Then having a ran across London to get it on time I was told on my return that this wasn't enough either because it had the address written without the post code at the bottom.
*** People who aren't from your country don't automatically know how everything works... Simple communication of what was actually needed would have avoided this and not wasted two days for me! Horrible customer service.
Unbelievably unprofessional and rude people! 10 minutes to closure and they weren't letting me in to make an ATM deposit that would only take a minute! They even told me to get out because I was blocking the door sensor!
As this is my local bank I visit it at least once a month. Yes, sometimes only one person is working at the desk and waiting for long can be frustrating when we are in a rush. But what made me write a review is a very positive experience. I had two personal meetings with Haseeb Khan. I live in the UK and using bank services more than 10 years ago. I never ever had so positive experience like this with Haseeb Khan. He is a genuine, really helpful, informative person. I felt really cared for it was like when you asking advice from a close family member, who wants you the best. He is a real credit for your company. Unfortunately, soon he is moving to another branch. Thank you and good luck in Kent, Haseeb!
already attended this terminal two weeks ago to id myself and thought I unblocked my card after 40minutes on the phone.
still kept locked which gave me multiple issues when aboard next days. through the phone they communicated to me that notes werent updated from the termunal so couldnt I still use my card.
attended again the same terminal to id myself again after 2 very difficult weeks without being able to use my card and came at 17.22 to again id myself.
once in the place itself, one of the girls let me know their task is currently taking them 10' and after that will check if this can be sorted.
waited 15' and been told its taking them longer. decided to wait even it was late already because of the urgency.
5.55 the other girl asks are you still waiting?
i expressed how much i needed this to be sorted but didnt seem to worry them.
didint hear and apology from them at ANY TIME, instead received a poor customer service and treat.
Appalling bank, appalling branch. Dangerously inefficient. Low-grade personnel. Impossible to contact by phone. Do not bank with Lloyds!
Very unprofessional staff, not for customer service for sure. Went to change name after marriage. I have been there 3 times already, still did not manage, once no passport enough, once technical problems in their system not able to help, 3rd time 10 minutes before they closed so the guy said they can't do it as probably would take longer. Ohh dear, HMRC name changing was quicker and easier then would be at this particular Victoria Street Lloyds bank.
CHANGE OF PERSPECTIVE CHANGE OF BANK
I would like to inform all the customers or to be customer of Lloyd s bank Victoria street branch. Never expect anything from humans working there, machines are much better in service. One of the worst service of my life
Kept me waiting for 30minutes without reason. Lack of knowledge about the product and services with blank face to all the questions. After long wait assisted by Emma who s I think shouldn t be working in service industry. Such rude and I don t care attitude I haven t experienced in my life. Don t even want to waste time and energy even to write a single word about them.
Please avoid as much as you can.
One cashier, your stand in the queue for ten minutes, staff feel they are above every one. Looking down on you... Dieing is quicker
This is a kinda branch where everyone seems to be in hurry(Staff and Customers)... lol.
Located on very busy victoria street, it is quite small and narrow.
Ive been here lot of times and the receptionist has always been helpful.
Cashier tills are not great but rest of the staff are really good.
I cant remember the name but a staff(young lad) was super helpful to go out of his way to apply for my successful credit card application.
