Close to the convention center. Staff is overly nice and helpful. No room service or any extras. No place to buy little things like aspirin or gum. Just bare bones. One restaurant for breakfast, one small bar.

Fabulous for first New Orleans experience. Near Superdome and French Quarters, walking. Super friendly, helpful staff and a uniquely inspired interest in who you are. Seeing a celebrity is not uncommon. We'll be back and thanks Le Meridien for your warm and beautiful hospitality!

Outstanding experience. Every staff member and employee has been so courteous and helpful, even while I m traveling with my dog. This service really exceeds my expectations as a Gold Elite Marriott member. The room is spacious and very clean; I feel right at home. Carry on!!!

Rooms are decorated very modern, and for that reason, very uncomfortable! They give us a beautiful view of the side of a building though we asked for city view. They bleed you for parking at a rate of $50 per day even though their website says a lower price. They were basically charging is for something everytime we walked through the door

Bar staff seemed miserable and non-responsive. Breakfast server didn't provide an itimized reciept for the large party I paid for. If I hadn't asked I would have double tipped. Rooms were just OK. Not what I expect from this brand.

Probably the nicest hotel I stayed at while in New Orleans. Excellent bar staff with a bar that stays open late. The hotel is immaculate, always someone cleaning something. Everyone very friendly and unintrusive. Will definitely stay there on my next trip. It's also across the street from the Casino, up the block from Mothers (restaurant ) and close to the Ruby Slipper (restaurant ) and Ernst Cafe (restaurant and bar).

No free WiFi, paid wifi is for only 5 devices per room, this is stupid and outrageous and I WOULD NOT recommend going here just for this reason. The ethernet in my room is not working and I don't think anyones room does, the bar is nice and so is the staff but the lack of wifi makes this place worthless, will never come back.

We've stayed at the Meridien in San Francisco a number of times and enjoyed our experience. The Meridien in New Orleans was quite a different experience and they really missed the mark. First of all, Le Meridien took over the old W Hotel and has invested nothing in upgrading the rooms. In our 1st room, the bathroom was so small that you couldn't be at the sink without the door closed all the way and this was suppose to be a superior king with a view. We moved to a regular superior king and the bathroom was better, but still marginal. There was no tub, the toiletries were a poor quality, no robe in the room, a dirty towel was left on the back of the door, there were only 2 towels and no refresh/turn-down service, so we used damp towels every other shower, the towels were cheap, there were no drawers in the bathroom, the sink was leaking, the ironing board was broken, no mini-bar, no in-room coffee, the walls are paper thin (be prepared to hear whole conversations of your neighbors), there was no sheet on the bed, just a comforter, the AC wasn't working properly and even the pen didn't work. The gym was sufficient, but the pool was extremely lame and tired - rundown furniture, zero style, boring rectangular pool. And when you get on the elevators, be prepared to stop on at least half the floors. We were extremely disappointed in the quality of the hotel in New Orleans especially for the price tag. We could have easily stayed at the Roosevelt, Ritz or Windsor Court for the price. The owners really need to invest some money into fixing this old hotel up or adjust the price for its current quality.

Great hotel stay, we had such a good time. Everyone is so nice and friendly. We couldn't ask for a better mini vacation. Shout out to the employees at Le Meridien for going above and beyond to make us feel like family. Hayward, Wendy, Tristan, Danny, Lawrence and many more make this hotel a 5 star stay. We will be back for many more visits!! Love from Philly!

No sure why there are so many negative reviews! Our experience has been awesome!! From the time we walked into the Huge Automatic doors ...to the excellent service we received from concierge ... and walking into our gorgeous room ... it's all been great! My advice stay here and form your own opinion!!

The room was very elegant, well stocked mini bar, and several amenities. I was only there for one night to party on bourbon street and retire to a luxorious accommodations. Once I settled in with my wife a noise from the AC unit started happening sporadically. It was not subtle either. It was very loud metal on metal bang that happened between every 30 minutes to hour. It sounded like someone was breaking through the wall from the room next door. I alerted one of the bell boys that night but nothing was done, and so we got as best as sleep as we could. I was somewhat dissapointed in the response from the hotel and would have enjoyed staying again.

I stay at many hotels around the country/world. I visit New Orleans about once a quarter. I am not a super picky person, but do expect great customer service at the very least. Upon check in, though the girl was very sweet, we could not understand a single word she said due to the language barrier. Our rooms were acceptable, but we found the beds to be extremely uncomfortable and the bathroom tiny (very oddly shaped rooms). We ordered room service twice. The first time the woman literally dropped the tray on our bed and clearly did not want to be there. The food left so much to be desired - $100 for 2 cheese quesadillas that were disgusting! How hard is it to make cheese quesadillas?
The second room service attendant was very sweet, but forgot half the order.
Upon checkout, I addressed my concern about being charged for food I didn't receive and the woman told me that "she's out delivering food, so I can't get your receipt to see what you were charged for. I'll just email you." (this has yet to happen). I then commented how both our room service experiences were quite underwhelming and her response was "okay".

Overall, the customer service is the #1 reason I will not be returning to this hotel. Nearly every other hotel in the quarter in the price range of $300/night has much superior customer service (and, frankly, more comfortable accommodations).
We ran into another couple (strangers) also staying at this hotel who expressed the same sentiment. It's unfortunate, but we will not be returning to this hotel.

It was fine. Front desk service, and the bar, we're better than my last visit. My room, however, was less clean. I found a used bandaid and a deodorant cap in the room, and the bed's comforter was not well made. Probably won't stay again

I really wanted to like this hotel, but it is overpriced and service is lacking. I spent one night here, and was charged about $300. Valet took over half an hour to retrieve my car, my room was TINY, I was never given a receipt, my window faced a brick wall, and the hotel's rooftop pool" is kind of a joke. Lastly, the layout of the room is super awkward. Two stars because of the quick check-in process and relative cleanliness.

I travel quite a bit (stayed at over 15 hotels in the last 3 months), and I would have rather stayed at a Days Inn.

Stayed here twice. I was impressed the first time because it's got a very contemporary, modern feel which I like. Nice shower, good views, prime location.

The most recent stay will be my last stay. Problems with the heater, no TV guide, rooms are extremely close to each other, WiFi was $6.95 for 3 hours. Really? It's 2015...get your act together. I booked with Orbitz, but I put my credit card on file for any extra charges to the room. I checked out at about 6:30 in the morning and the woman told me I had no additional charges. I checked my account today and had a charge, so I called to inquire about it. At first, the girl on the phone told me it was an unresolved tax....? Excuse me? Then after holding she informed me that I had made a local phone call at 12:47 PM...the day that I had checked out at 6:30 in the morning.

One final thought... during the first stay, we used the valet parking (> $40/night WHAT) and waited for a solid half hour. The guy drives up and smiles at us...he had picked up the wrong car. So we waited another solid half hour.

The hotel was very clean and the front desk personnel was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were cute... but a bit awkward when you first open the dirt as your greeted by a wall. A corner wall from the restroom leading to the bedroom. The decor was nice all the way around. The gym was well equipped and runs 24 hours a day.

I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans. It's a prime location and can walk easily to French quarters, the river or bourbon street. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Three star place at five star prices. Everything is far over priced for what you get. I don't mind paying for quality, but I do not like paying more just to say I paid more. Breakfast $30 a plate. Parking $50 per night. It gets worse from there. Staff are polite and courteous, but the good time ends there. Go to a Hilton or a real Wyndam instead. Even a Holliday Inn may not have as many amenities, but at least you get what you pay for.

If I could give Le Meridien Hotel a -1 star rating I would. The most disgusting hotel I have ever visited. A complete waste of my money and time. We just checked into our rooms and to our surprise the mattress are completely filled with numerous of blood, urine, and feces stains all over the place including bed bugs. Supervisors are no help and refuse to take responsibility nor ownership and made it out to be our fault like we did something wrong. The manager on duty walked into the room and looked at the beds and said "wow this is really bad." The other supervisor stated it was not her job to check after housekeeping to ensure the cleanliness of the room, or else our rooms would not be ready. This is the most HORRIFIC THING I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. This hotel is by fare a 4 star rating and an absolute EMBARRASSMENT TO BE AFFILIATED WITH THE MARRIOTT HOTEL.
