It's 2016, stop charging for wifi. No coffee maker in the rooms. Hand soap for the sink but no body wash. Things were clean, and rooms were quiet, although oddly shaped. The transparent glass shower door is pretty but the only people who can come into the bathroom when you're showering are those you're comfortable seeing you naked. Was very excited about the rooftop pool, but only a roughly 4x4ft area gets any sun so that was a bummer. Didn't learn about the free museum passed until 2 hrs before I left. So it gets 3 stars for being attractive, clean, quiet, with friendly staff.

I stayed here April 15-17, 2017. It's a fantastic location easy walking distance to the French Quarter, the park along the mighty Mississippi, the stunning new WW II museum and many other places.

The rooms are all on the outer walls of the tall tower and when I opened my door, you have to swing it way back to get into the room. It's the oddest hotel door I've ever seen.

This is the first time I've ever been in a hotel where the bed had no top sheet. All that was there was a heavy comforter that made you too warm. I slept with the narrow decorative duvet over me so I wouldn't roast. I'm sure I could have called downstairs and had them send up a top sheet. The point is I just expected the bed to have one.

The overall decorating theme is modern. The bathroom had a spacious shower for water sports. The toilet paper holder was broken which I thought was odd as I'd expect the housekeepers who maintain the rooms to report that to the maintenance crew.

The hot-water handle on the sink faucet was also out of adjustment. Neither bath defect stopped you from using the room.

The price of the food in the downstairs restaurant may make your eyelids get stuck in the open position. I had breakfast there and it was above average. But I feel the food was way overpriced. I get it as they need to make a profit.

All in all, I'd absolutely stay here again.

Room was super hot and humid, not getting below 75 degrees. The front desk staff was very rude on check in. They had us in king bed rooms, even though we had reserved two queens; they refused to move us even though they had plenty of two queen rooms available and got mad when we went over their heads to get the correct rooms. Elevators went out too and had to take the service elevator to my room, which is at least better than having to climb the stairs to the 23rd floor.. Horrible experience all around.

Stayed this weekend and paid 800 for 2 rooms. I love NOLA and this was the worst experience I have ever had. In record NOLA heat the hotel shut off electricity from 11 pm Saturday to 5 am Sunday (this was not a city wide issue).

Such an expensive hotel had no backup generators or plan for 6 hours.

After 5 am for the rest of Sunday and most of Monday the AC continued to NOT work. Front desk staff were patronizing and rude - saying "if it bothers you - you can move out and find another hotel" and "we can give you 50 dollars credit on your room" and "sorry there are no executives here over the weekend - if you bring your concern in the weekday someone can help".

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The location is good but there are a dozen other hotels in that area. I have stayed at the Sheraton and Hilton in NOLA and would return to them in the future.

Worst costumer service ever. Not worth the money. The valet was horrible. The manager was never available to help us. If you're looking for a night away where you are being cared for-- do nor stay here.

Very clean. Boutique like rooms. Located around everything and it sits across the street from Harrah's casino. Bedbug free. I had no issues at all. Front desk staff were very prompt with checking you in and friendly. I like the atmosphere here!

This newly renovated hotel is perfectly placed in NOLA downtown within walking distance from famous French Quarter! Rooms are superb, with spacious bed, great bathroom and there is living room space as an extra. Breakfast menu and services were awesome! Whenever you get a chance try cocktails in bar or just stretch on cozy couches in the lobby. All of this for very good price!

Great experience. Staff helpful. Love the awesome music that is played throughout the hotel and outside. Only down side was response to room request such as towels etc. Took forever if at all.

It is rare for me to write a review for anything, let alone a less than positive review. But I have long been a fan of Le Meridien properties, but this experience left me disappointed enough that I probably won't stay at a Le Meridien again. Positives: Attractive entrance and lobby area, nice second floor area, decent gym and pool areas. Negatives: Very dark, small, and depressing room, very different from prior Meridien experiences. I was not able to get the usual upgrade that I can get with gold elite status (I understand this is subject to availability, although a colleague who was here for the same conference was able to get upgraded.) The power went out on my floor for several hours when I needed to get work done. Also, 3 of the 4 elevators were not working. Most disappointingly, staff were somewhere between indifferent and completely uninterested in customer care, particularly given the number of problems over the weekend. This extended from the front desk to the LMNO restaurant on the second floor, and was so pervasive it was clearly a problem of business culture rather than an issue of any one individual. I am a Marriott loyalist but will avoid Le Meridien hotels in the future.

Always a great experience. I've stayed there 2 times in the past couple months and the front desk agents Tristan and Keyshawna are always so pleasant. There's a young lady by the name of Shintia she was very hospitable. I went to the bar and had a nice conversation with the Bartender Eddie, he makes really amazing drinks (ask for the Sidecar). Also while at the bar the supervisor at that time Wendy was extremely nice to have talked to. I will definitely be back, and I recommend this hotel to stay at if you are coming to New Orleans!

It's close but not quite. The Google rating of 3.4 is very accurate. Two years ago I'd bet this was a great property. Just needs the little things touched up. Could really use a maintenance person to do a real walk through the guest rooms.

I don't usually splurge on hotels, but this was a special trip and I wanted a luxury experience. I got it in spades. It was comfortable and elegant, warm and inviting, and every staff person I interacted with was gracious, accommodating, and kind. I felt so at home. Worth every penny and then some. The location is fantastic when you're splitting time between the Quarter, the CBD, and the Garden District, as I was. Their hotel bar has a great selection of spirits, which I find impressive because a corporate mandate doesn't always allow for flair in the spirits selection. I was tickled by the whimsy of the videos they specially filmed of local artists for you to watch while waiting for the elevator. It's one of those little things that I don't think I've ever seen another hotel do--who seeks to amuse you for that fleeting couple of moments while your elevator car comes? That's a level of service that deserves acclaim. Plus, the chair the artist so hilariously interacted with was bolted by its feet to the ceiling in the lobby, which made me laugh out loud the next time I came through the lobby after watching that video. This hotel made me feel special, and I'll love them forever for it.

I was appalled by how run down and dirty this hotel was. The lobby was OK, but the hallways and the room they put us in was filthy. Front desk staff was rude, and we checked out early and moved to another property. BEWARE!

A diamond, but not necessarily in the rough.

My room was comfy and modern and would be a good place to stay if one ever stayed in their room in New Orleans. The checkout time of 2 was heavenly. The location was easy to drive to. The parking was reasonable. The staff very friendly. I hope I remember it for one of my many trips back to New Orleans

Horrible place to stay. I wish I would have stayed next door at Windsor Court. I haven't stayed here since it was a W hotel. Based on all the drunk people on my floor, in the lobby, and in the elevator, it seems like this hotel has gone downhill. I would have thought that the exact opposite would have happened. Besides the drunk people, the alarm clock in the room next door going off for an hour at 1AM, trying to call the front desk to notify them, then having to call 3 times before someone actually picked up, but when they did pick up they asked if they could put me on hold and put me on hold for 15 minutes before I even had an opportunity to answer her question, which would have taken 15 seconds of her time at 1AM, at least I had a bed. I can't think of anything positive to say about this place except now I know where not to stay in New Orleans. To think that I had such a horrible time being a Starwood Gold Preferred member and staying in a corner suite, which costs $800 a night, I expect much better service than what I got. I've stayed at many Starwood's hotels. I've stayed at hotels for $150 a night that were great, and I've stayed at hotels for $3000 a night that were horrible, but the best thing that could happen to this place would be to get shut down completely which would benefit everyone. As I finish writing this, I still hear the alarm clock going off next door. I guess I should set my alarm on my phone to get up in 5 hours since the chances of getting a wake up call are pretty slim.

Pretty room, very courteous staff and beautiful hotel. The fridge barely worked and you have to go to the front desk from your room to have a clerk heat your food, because there are no in room microwave. Besides that, we will return.

This was a grand hotel to stay in. The room was excellent and it was so very convenient. We walked most everywhere we went. There is a rooftop pool but the best thing was the view from the roof.

Over all a nice hotel, but I expected more for the price. Both the internet and the cable service was subpar, and the rooms were equipped with a weighted snack table that, if you touched, would automatically charge your room. Some of the conference rooms were near the kitchen, which was very distracting as the staff banged plates and yelled to each other. Otherwise, the rooms were nice with state of the art showers and comfortable beds.

They allowed my husband and I to check in at noon which was very much appreciated and the staff managing the Facebook page were very helpful and responsive to my questions as we were afraid the tropical storm Gordon would affect our travel plans. I mentioned we were celebrating an anniversary and was very happy and surprised at a mini room upgrade to the larger king room with a small bottle of champagne waiting for us.

Room is spacious, clean and has everything you need even a bathrobe. The hotel staff also accommodated my request for a high floor and ensured there were no down filled pillows as I am allergic.

The hotel is older and could probably use some fixing up but the decor of the lobby and rooms is more than enough for two people who aren t very picky about hotels. To us this is 5 stars!

This was my second stay at Le Meridien New Orleans. I booked it again because I had such a fantastic experience the first time. I had a completely different experience the second time. The common spaces and rooms are very chic and modern, and that is something I love about it. But when I arrived this time, the person who checked me in wasn't welcoming or friendly. And my room wasn't as nice as last time. The bed was the most uncomfortable hotel bed I've slept on in a long time. That alone will prevent me from booking again or recommending. Then navigating the bathroom was weirdly awkward. I think the bathroom was designed to be bigger, like the one I previously had. The only way to turn the shower on is to immediately immerse yourself in water. And then you have to step out of the shower, lean into the toilet, and then close the shower door in order to reach your towel if it's hanging on the one single towel hook available. Also there is a glorified refrigerator that actually isn't a refrigerator but a cooler. So practically useless. On the Thursday night of my stay there was this loud tapping noise that happened at various hours in the middle of the night, and at 2 AM it sounded like someone was using a drill in the room above me. Otherwise my stay was relatively quiet. I am really disappointed because I had held this hotel in such high regard based on my prior experience only 1.5 years ago. I probably won't return or recommend it to anyone else anymore.

Loved the location as it is close to the French Quarter and other Districts! For those who frequent casinos, it is situated across from Harrah's!
Room: Sofa was noticeably stained and it (queen beds) lacked space. Shower door didn't (wet floor) fully close. I would stay again on account of location.

I'll start by saying the staff was friendly and the location is good but my experience at a hotel is usually based on the room it self since that is where I spend most of my time when at a hotel. The bed was SO uncomfortable. It was saggy and had no support at all, I woke up with a sore back every morning. They also don't use fitted sheets, instead they use a thick mattress cover that isn't attached to the bed at all so it slid around and bunched up making the bed even more uncomfortable. The bathrooms were also small and the way the shower door opens made it hard to maneuver.

The room is nice but really akward shaped. No coffee, no vending machines, vallet parking only which took forever because they will chit chat with friends for about 25 mins before they decide to get your car, cups were dirty, and no remote for the TV. Wouldn't pay more that $150 to stay here

A very good 4 star hotel. Lovely people all very friendly but service in the restaurant always a little too slow for European tastes. Unfortunately they could never fix the Aircon despite three attempts so they just gave up. Quality of the rooms is very good otherwise.

The king room is somewhat small. Bathroom is extremely small. Modern decor was nice. The lobby is nicely appointed and food we ordered from room service was good. It's centrally located downtown.
