Horrible place to stay. I wish I would have stayed next door at Windsor Court. I haven't stayed here since it was a W hotel. Based on all the drunk people on my floor, in the lobby, and in the elevator, it seems like this hotel has gone downhill. I would have thought that the exact opposite would have happened. Besides the drunk people, the alarm clock in the room next door going off for an hour at 1AM, trying to call the front desk to notify them, then having to call 3 times before someone actually picked up, but when they did pick up they asked if they could put me on hold and put me on hold for 15 minutes before I even had an opportunity to answer her question, which would have taken 15 seconds of her time at 1AM, at least I had a bed. I can't think of anything positive to say about this place except now I know where not to stay in New Orleans. To think that I had such a horrible time being a Starwood Gold Preferred member and staying in a corner suite, which costs $800 a night, I expect much better service than what I got. I've stayed at many Starwood's hotels. I've stayed at hotels for $150 a night that were great, and I've stayed at hotels for $3000 a night that were horrible, but the best thing that could happen to this place would be to get shut down completely which would benefit everyone. As I finish writing this, I still hear the alarm clock going off next door. I guess I should set my alarm on my phone to get up in 5 hours since the chances of getting a wake up call are pretty slim.
