Could not use wi fi in room. Hard to find code to use. Was here for work. Would not have picked this hotel. Bed was average. Pilows were soft. Windows were filthy. Front desk is very slow. Great location just need to tighten up the staff.

This is a decently nice hotel, however just a few minutes after arriving, someone else walked into our room with a key of their own. Needless to say, this was a bit of a surprise and I've never experienced this anywhere in all my life. It made me really question the security of this hotel. It could have been just a one-time fluke, but it was quite concerning, not to mention the fact that it could have been extremely awkward...

Rooms are rather noisy--acoustics are odd--you can hear adjacent rooms too well, and even when the elevator is not near your room you still hear it going up and down. The entire hotel was loud. I found the room itself to be adequate. I was there for a conference and I will say they did a very good job with conference services including the catering. I would not choose to stay here again with so many other options available for personal travel.

It's a great hotel. In comparison to other nice places around, the rooms are quite small and the hotel has is very dark. We prefer others such as Harrah's or the Doubletree. There's other great places in the French Quarter but if we have to stay at La Meridien it does the job just fine.

The hotel was ok. I mean there was construction issues, but that was not surprising. However, I have had a billing problem and have been unable to have anyone respond to my concerns. I was told that I had complimentary internet during my stay last month because my room was located on the 22nd floor of the hotel (I didn't understand the distinction, but I didn't care). I was told by guest services that a charge would appear on my card but that it would be taken away in a few days. It has been six weeks and the charge is still shown on my card. I have called and left messages with the billing department and have tried to get a hold of the manager of the hotel and have been unable to get a response. During one conversation with the guest services, I was asked what the name of the employee who had told me the internet was complimentary and that they would check and see if anyone remembers telling me that (which is ridiculous for several reasons, either the policy exists or the employee lied to me and why should I have to remember the name of someone I spoke to on the phone). The guest services employee promised to call me back and I have not heard anything back from them. This has been a really frustrating experience dealing with this hotel.

Was moved here after a fire at the original hotel was staying at. Staff was friendly, but with confusion of being moved made for terrible experiences of having to switch rooms, being told had to leave a seminar at a conference to get back to the hotel to switch rooms or there would be a charged for another night when the room assignment was messed up in the confusion of moving everyone after the fire at the other motel. The rooms were smaller in this hotel as well. The amenities at the hotel moved from topped this one significantly.

Great hotel with good amenities. Beautiful rooftop pool, couple of restaurants and a nice little bar. Very conveniently located near French Quarters and downtown NOLA. Staff are nice.. Hotel gives vouchers or points for skipping room service. Overall, good quality service but quite expensive compared to other high quality hotels.

The hotel was great but as soon as we walk in to check in the gentlemen in the front [night shift] had a BAD ATTITUDE TOWARDS US.. was not too happy since he treated other people differently.. came back downstairs asked him a few questions, he looked at us stupid, asked him if we can pay off the amount of hotel , he said no we are not allowed to until check out time.. but our bank called us right and then you guys charged us $820.. and it wasn't check out time yet .. it was our 1st night so no won't be going back and won't ever recommend someone.. other than that the rest of the staff was friendly except that gentleman. The sheets had a few stains, Very pricey for the way they treat you.. I could of gone somewhere cheaper but better staff.

While the beds are comfortable, the service is excellent and the elevators are super fast.. there is zero to no privacy once you're in the room. I could clearly hear the conversations next door, and without exaggeration I could hear the baby from two doors down. Not only was my direct neighbor affected by his or her bronchitis cough, we too were affected as we stayed up with him or her for four consecutive nights. Awful.

Visited my friends that were staying here and they say you have to basically ask several times for the staff to do anything. Plus the rooms seem really outdated...and not in the historical building old type of way either but cheesy looking for how nice the outside of the hotel is.

They not only charged fees on top of fees and added their own gratuity charges after we had paid a gratuity for a simple $22.00 room service charge (the receipt shows they charged my card $35.38). My CC company, however, shows they charged $98.48. I called the hotel to confirm the items ordered and the total; she confirmed that it was $35.38 in total ($$22 for food and $13.28 fees/grat) but cannot explain the add'l $63.10 charge. She was not helpful at all, merely offered to transfer me to billing. Every aspect of this stay was miserable, the overcharges for the poor quality food (they even forgot items and had to bring them back 20 mins later...) put this place on the list. Never again will we stay at this hotel.

I really wanted to like this hotel, but I think it's among the worst in NOLA. Le Meridien considers itself one of SPG's "luxury brands" and they usually deliver like in Atlanta and Los Angeles. The New Orleans hotel falls short on literally every front. The rooms are tiny with small windows. It feels and looks like the polar opposite of luxury. The floor plans are a weird half octagon shape. For some reason the couch is in front of the tiny window.... The hotel and room decor are also off-putting. It looks like all the leftover furniture and fixtures from every Le Meridien in the world was dumped here. Nothing seems coordinated, or makes since visually. Even the most hip hipster chick wouldn't get this place.

Also I'm an SPG Gold Member and was ignored at check in. I also didn't get the automatic gold upgrade. I looked at the hotel's website and there were tons of rooms available...

Le Meridien is my favorite SPG brand just not this one.
