Great variety of food available to dine in or order to room, beds were comfortable and very convenient to get to via breeze way.

Right next to the terminal. Great view from the hotel. If not for the chaos of drones I would not have stayed there but anyway credit card and Sofitel at least saved me from sleeping in the terminal for a night.

The stay was ok not the best I've had there the room where we was was noisy due to people banging left my car there for 10 days an it got moved an then checked the mileage on car an it done 10miles more than when I left it the seat n stereo had been changed

Lovely room with wife and three kids! Good food but a bit pricey. Fantastic buffet breakfast and good to see fried bread and hash browns on the menu!!

We stayed due to the proximity to the terminal which was great and also loved that we could return our hire car here. The room was pretty standard, and I'd prefer a shower cubicle to a bath. I do think there should complimentary water in all rooms though, basic standards. Staff were excellent as was the food at the Brasserie.

Nice hotel well placed for flying out north terminal, staff very pleasant reception area very nice, rooms very dated but good size.

We came to Sofitel Gatwick for a birthday treat for my daughter. This was the third time . From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. I requested a particular room (784) and I was allocated this room which as usual it was lovely. The staff are so friendly and helpful We booked a table in La Brasserie for the evening. The whole experience was amazing from the service to the food itself. After a wonderful sleep followed a great breakfast. We requested at check out time that our cases were minded at reception, again this was no trouble. We came back at about 5 pm to have an evening meal in La Terasse. This was altogether fantastic and I would thoroughly recommend it and I shall be re booking here next year in hopefully a superior room.

Superb hotel to relax in before an early morning flight.

I travel frequently through LGW for business and pleasure and will stay at either the Sofitel or the Hampton by Hilton - a lot depends on the price. However, the service and standard at the Sofitel is generally much better and the environment, lobby etc of the Sofitel, stands out.

We hired a car from the Hertz desk - this is an added bonus as all of our flights are normally always into and out of the North Terminal.

It would be nice to see a little more attention to the cleaning of the hotel, especially the carpets.

Overall, though, enjoyable.

Hotel staff are friendly and accommodating and main lobby is fine but rooms and hallways are old and musty. The hallways smell musty and old and the rooms are in need of freshening up especially the carpets and bathrooms. Considering this is the most expensive of the hotels at the terminal. The Hampton Inn is more basic in service but offers a much nicer bathroom, more comfortable beds and a general fresher newer approach in the hotel.

All went well - a very brief overnight stay to fit in with a crack of dawn outgoing flight.

Booked an overnight stay with 15 nights parking for our holiday. Check in was functional, room was good, nice size with a comfy bed.

Food at the urban cafe was nice, but for me was overpriced, but this is the same for all airport hotels that I have stayed in so far.

Only niggle was that there was refurbishment works going on restricting the choice of outlets to enjoy food and drink, which meant there were a lot of people in the lobby.

V well worth its price for a v tasty dinner and friendly staff

Perfectly located for a flight to or from Gatwick. Smooth check-in and check-out, professional staff and an excellent restaurant La Terrasse. Rooms ok.

Peaceful haven
The hotel is extremely well run with very helpful staff and good spotlessly clean rooms with lovely comfortable beds. The best thing is the calm peaceful atmosphere in contrast to the chaos of the North Terminal outside although dinner time can be busy. Large atrium with natural light and good choice of cafes and restaurants with excellent mainly French and English menu. Cream tea with Earl Grey was delicious.

The beds are so amazing, soft warm duvet and so comfortable I drifted off to sleep and didn't want to leave!
Excellent customer service, lovely food on room service, I am always happy to stay at this hotel, especially as the walkway to the airport is indoors! Excellent, by far the best Gatwick hotel

Lovely staff. Why the insist on greeting everybody in French is a little bizarre though. Space Infront of the hotel to drop off leisurely is more relaxing than the rest of of Gatwick. Book online, room rates on the day are outrageous.

Very pleasant hotel , really comfortable rooms, we ate in the Urban Cafe restaurant. Food expensive for what you got, service really slow. Same experience at the main bar, very expensive and very slow service

Excellent stay for our eRly morning start. We had our evening meal at Vanda, superb food & drink albeit a little pricey. Service was efficient although it was obvious that the staff were very stretched.

Upper end hotel. There is a bridge that links it to departures that is so useful. Parking option is good as well. Variety of restaurants available, with the Chinese option recommended.

Excellent service from the moment we arrived as guest, to somebody staying there. The floor management were very helpful to my wife in her wheel chair - Courtesy and helpfulness throughout. Excellent meal, large portions and good service. I can see now why my son and his family use it when . Thank You.

A friendly welcome, comfortable and quiet rooms, acceptable quality of food and a basic (but free) gym. The hotel prices on food and drink are less welcome, though.

The lady at check in was really helpful and friendly, the meal in the Asian restaurant was well cooked and the quick checkout next morning was painless

A lovely place to stay, ideal for early departures at Gatwick airport. Food is good, staff polite and friendly. Price is competitive. Being so close to the airport I thought it would be noisy but it wasn't.

Clean and tidy room. Really convenient for the North Terminal at Gatwick. Good choice of restaurants. Friendly helpful staff. Parking is a bit pricey though.

Room was great. But the restaurant was spoiled by so much noise from corporate event. This is our 3rd stay but not sure I would return to the unpleasant experience dinning. The food was good but the guests spoilt it

Easy Access, Friendly Staff, Large and conformable rooms.

Very good. We choose Sofitel because we were travelling with 2 five year olds and we had a 5am flight. I was a bit sceptical of the whole thing being so close to the terminal but it was great. Brilliant service and a great night sleep as well.

Nothing to add other than that I won't be staying here again or at any Sofitel.

Front staff was wonderful, and the rooms were very nice. The hotel was evacuated at 2 am, and the only employee we saw was the one opening the door outside. There was not a single employee at the muster point, and the guests were left to stand confused by themselves. There was no explanation, no apology, nothing. We are still in the dark about what happened. It would have been nice to have received an email, or a notice under the room door, or something. The guests were let back in after about 20-30 mins but we only knew we could go in because we saw other guests entering the building again.

A quality hotel with quality staff who make an early start so much easier.

Have stayed at the Sofitel Gatwick on numerous occasions but tried to book tonight and was put through to Central reservations...sadly they do not appear to know this lovely hotel exists! I was offered st James in London and somewhere else but they seem incapable of finding our destination of choice! For a premier hotel with wonderful amenities and facilities I was horrified that I could not book directly! I would hope this lack of knowledge could be rectified in forte...still to got a booking, have to wait to call direct int he morning to the hotel!!! Which is what I had tried to do in the first place!

We have stayed here several times the evening before our flight from the North Terminal. The convience is the main attraction especially with the parking package. We enjoy the Fusion restaurant Vanda. Expensive but good food.

Reception staff were fantastic, room was clean and comfortable. Room service was good. Only disappointment was refurb of restaurant but it has to be done sometime!

Went for a meal. Very nice decor but the service seemed rushed a food not that great for the price.

Good morning. We have stayed previously with you on business and on this occasion it was the start of a holiday. It was extremely busy and not that easy to have something to eat but when it came it was very nice so that was not a problem. However the soundproofing in our room was so poor that we were both awake for most of the night. This was never a problem previously. We were leaving quite early so did not mention it at the time but certainly has put us off staying again. Margaret Ferguson

The best hotel airport for me in terms of price and accommodation! It has a private entrance as you came out from the shuttle right next the departure gate of London Gatwick! The lobby was very impressive with 3 restaurants/bar inside plus a wellness center if you need a massage. The view of the airport was also good. Sofitel Gatwick's lounge is not as big as other Sofitel's lounge and wine selection is very few but good enough to pass your time by nibbling on some appetizers and having some drinks. I was satisfied on my overnight stay and came fresh to my next flight.

So close to airport check-in through a corridor. Easy to walk there from the hotel. Buffet breakfast great. Hotel room overlooking the airport which was fun to watch.

First class welcome on arrival, very slick check in by very friendly an efficient staff. Rooms arre clean an well appointed. Restaurant provides a choice of well presented meals.

Love this hotel. Really smart interiors and the bars are good and in a good setting.
If you need to stay at Gatwick there really isn't anywhere else I would recommend.

We stayed for one night prior to a trip to Sicily. Shame that the room was made up for 3 people and was too cramped for us to move around easily. We had to wait for the sofa bed to be removed, which was annoying as we wanted to get to bed, having an extremely early start the following day. Otherwise everything was fine.

I arrived to a very helpful person to check me in at the hotel lobby desk. My journey to arrive at Sofitel, Gatwick North was long and difficult. It was such a welcome relief to be in a nice warm, clean room with all the amenities I could wish for. My flight was to leave the next day early in the morning. After a good nights rest, I felt ready to face the journey across the Atlantic to Canada. I will definitely stay at this hotel again should I find myself at Gatwick Airport, the convenience was excellent. I could not fault anything of the service provided.

Busy check in, but polite and efficient. Brasserie a quiet haven from the busy atrium restaurants. Parking garage has restricted space.

We used this Hotel as an in between, that is we just arrived from San Francisco, from Heathrow and were going to Greece the next day from Gatwick and we were recommended this Hotel from a friend. Well what can I say, we only stayed one night and the hotel were informed of special event. That they did and give us 7th floor with a view overlooking the terminal plus two free drinks, along with Swans made up from towels sitting on the bed, which was a wonderful surprise! We used the lovely Asian/China restaurant and had a lovely meal which we could not fault, it was excellent. After a pleasant overnight sleep, we set off to travel, bear in mind the hotel is at North Terminal and we needed to go to South Terminal. This was not a problem as they have a tunnel to North Terminal and from there we simply catch a train shuttle to South Terminal, it was all so easy and done in minutes! This show that the hotel is so conveniently located for either terminal and is a wonderful place to stay prior to your scheduled flight. Highly recommended.

I have just arrived at reception to be told that my room was not paid for yet the funds seemed to have magicked themselves out of my account three weeks ago when I booked it.I am not impressed to have to wait nearly ten minutes to scroll through my tons of emails to find some sort of confirmation from the booking agent. Then to have the reception manager come over and see straight away that I had already paid. Not a good start and absolutely no stars!!

Amazing hotel with great rooms and superb restaurants. Upgrade yourself to a suite and get access to the executive lounge.

Comfy room, size and facilities as expected...it took a long time to check in and as we were a fly and stay I felt that was valuable time for us as a family to enjoy being together...it took over half an hour to check in. Breakfast was good, porter and lobby staff very friendly and welcoming
