Very comfortable & very quiet considering its location

Excellent stay apart from lift out of service with long waits.

Was a little bit disappointed with the fact that the Club Millesime Lounge, as it was already full by 6.15 and we were advised to come back in 30 minutes when hopefully there would be a table. As such we simply went down to the bar and paid for the drinks.

Also when popping back after eating at Vanda's we noticed that the coffee machine had a notice that it was 'out of order' so we didn't bother with breakfast the next day as no doubt there would have been no coffee.

Terrible overall experience, restaurant capacity to demand is insufficient leading to long waits. The staff in the restaurants/bar were rude and disinterested... annoyed at having to answer questions, and certainly not willing to offer up More

We have stayed several times pre holiday and on this occasion were going with friends so recommended the Sofitel. Unfortunately the hotel was undergoing renovations to the bar area and although we understand this has to be done we feel we should have had prior warning. There was very little seating and the bar menu was not being served. The only restaurant available was the Chinese which although lovely food would not of been our first choice. All the others had huge waiting times. Again if we had known this prior to staying we would have booked a table in advance. All other aspects of the hotel were up to the normal high standards.

Door seal on bethroom foor was faulty making it difficult to clode

Positive experience. Was a quick stay, but enjoyed the time I was there.

Great hotel, always clean, staff always friendly and very close to both North Terminal and South Terminal shuttle train. The doormen always rush to help unload the car and the team in the lounge are excellent.

Couldn't fault it! Great night's sleep in a comfortable room. Our favourite hotel.

Just called to try and book a room for one night with 2 weeks parking, person on the phone really couldn't be bothered. Terminated the call and will book with another hotel.

From the moment we walked in service was excellent. There had been a glitch when we booked as the system did not take payment. So I had to make a second booking. I was concerned that we may have had duplicated bookings. There was an initial difficulty find the booking but with the reference it was soon found. This only took a few minutes. But the big thing was that they quickly sorted out the booking and everything was fine. Excellent room, clean with superb facilities and good service. Easy check out everything we could want. This is our second stop there in about 5 years but will use them again when we fly from Gatwick

Comfortable and welcoming. It might be good to warn people that they need to book ahead for dinner on such busy days as Saturdays. I managed to have a very good meal at the Asian restarant but had to wait an hour which was OK but if I had known of its popularity I would have booked ahead of time.

Reception was courteous and professional. Room comfortable although bathroom ventilator not working (reported to reception). Food choices were not to my taste and had a very satisfactory evening meal at lower cost at the Premier Inn next door. Smoky bacon at breakfast was so smoky it was inedible and the fried bread was more like a crouton. Very disappointed considering the cost.

Pleasantly surprised by the buffet at the La Brasserie and extra duvet was already put in our room. The hotel made a lovely congratulation out of a small dessert. We were let down a bit as the superior room seemed like a regular room, and we had upgraded for our after wedding travels. Hotel was very clean, view of the airport was beautiful, and you can't get any closer to the terminal. Would stay here again

Excellent accommodation, good food, within the airport, friendly staff, no noise

Location was great, since it is attached to the northern terminal. Once you walk into the tunnel, you are welcomed by a fragrant aroma. The check in service was a breeze. There are 3 separate restaurants serving different menus, so you'll find something to eat. Overall, I had a great experience.

Superb as always. Spotlessly clean, everything in the room you could possibly need for an overnight stay or longer.

Very nice beds and bed linen. Slept like a baby and it's very conveniently situated. Bar area is very nice but takes a while to get a drink but the staff are friendly. Would go back there. Room with asubways of the runway was fun but quite far away. Not the best for aeroplane geeks

The star and many of it is the smell of the lobby and the rooms are very bad The water cycle feels like you are in hospital Even the shampoo found in the experience is generally bad

A very comfortable hotel, large comfy bed and we'll appointed room. Restaurant offered a good choice of well presented, cooked food. Extreamly convenient for Gatwick north terminal with a covered walk way into the Airport.

We decided to treat ourselves to the Sofitel before flying out early the following morning and were extremely impressed with the hotel and staff. We were very fortunate in being chosen as "guest of the day" which meant upgrade which included executive lounge etc. Would happily recommend this hotel to anyone.

Clean. Convinient stay for when traveling out for holiday. Professional friendly staff.

Lovely quiet rooms and bed is the comfiest I've ever slept in

It simply could not have been better, in fact we nearly cancelled the holiday and stayed a few more nights.

Absolute comfort and effortless, wake up refreshed car parked safely and off on holiday .Could not ask for more we will be back.

Requests (cot bed) were on the system and despite confirming on check in, was not in the room. Not a great start when you're checking in at 2am after four-hour flight. Breakfast was booked, but seemingly not on the system (requiring proof/receipts). Not particularly great service either. Hopefully, this can be worked on.

It was fine, short queue at reception on arrival but didn't have to wait long. We ate at the airport rather than the hotel, had a reasonable night's sleep and were gone by 5 AM to get our flight. Expensive for the few hours we were actually there.

we have stayed with yourselves many times this time the was very nice but the bed was a very bad the middle was in a hump and slide down ether side being two pensioners the bed was so high it was very hard to get into i slept on the armchair half the night

What an excellent way to start my Wife s and I journey to New York to celebrate our 60th Birthdays.
Hotel staff are very friendly and on the ball, quality of service is 5 star.

this was my 8th stay but very dissapointed before I start the good your check in staff were great
However not being able to sit down and have a drink in your bar is ridiculous for the price you charge now I understand that all hotels have to renovate and update but if its the case where you have no room to accomadate guests in social areas then the cost should be lower as not many guests will want to just sit in a small room during the stay.
You had almost zero room for guests to sit and relax with friends for a drink and a chat due to renovations neither your room costs nor drink prices were adjusted to subsidise the dicomfort

Very comfortable and clean. It is at the North Gatwick terminal though so you will be required to take the train to go places.

Very clean with friendly staff. The Chinese restaurant was great. Unfortunately the bed was uncomfortable, I could feel all the springs in the mattress.

A comfortable, quiet hotel, with good parking, and a decent Asian resturant. Ideal for a one night stay.

We just had the most Christmas Eve at the Sofitel Gatwick Airport. We were surprised by pressies and a Christmas tree for my little one! Just wow thank you Sofitel

Stayed here on quite a few occasions. It is probably the best place to stay at the airport. Staff are very nice and welcoming. Facilities good. However, on this occasion I noticed evidence of cost cutting and so downgraded my rating by a star.

We use this hotel and the parking every time we go away and it is usually very clean and comfortable. . However, this time there were marks all over the walls, splashes over the furniture and paint knocked off the walls. . The bath non slip surface was dirty and the bathroom door was in a very bad state. . Will think twice about using this hotel again. .

We would always use this hotel if flying from Gatwick.

We ve stayed here three times prior to long haul flights. We opted for one night s accomodation with 14 days parking on each occasion.
We ve never encountered any problems . . . the rooms are of excellent standard and the easy undercover walk to the North Terminal is an added bonus.

Perfect hotel for early morning flights, hotel has a bridge connecting to the airport terminal.

Luxury rooms are great. Use of lounge on the 8th floor overlooking the runways. With Complimentary food and drinks. Also free minibar in room. Simple walk straight into North terminal with shuttle to South if needed.

Well appointed hotel, Rooms clean but had problems with aircon. Free paper on leaving.

We enjoyed our stay, and the lady in the club lounge went out of her way to delivery excellent service to us, once she found out we were on the first night of our honeymoon. We really appreciated the edible congratulations message and chocolates awaiting our arrival in our room. The only disappointment was the club lounge not being open for breakfast at 0515 having been told it would open at 0500. We had to go to our flight so we missed out.

Everything was excellent - from the extremely helpful and very pleasant check in staff, wonderfully comfortable bed, lovely restaurant, meal and staff. Even the early morning wake up call was a real person and not a machine. I highly recommend this airport hotel as the hotel to start your holiday in.

Personality free zone. Thinks it is a luxury hotel, but isn't!

Almost everything was, as usual, good but the lack of an early check-in was very disturbing. I was told that no rooms were available , which is fair enough, if that is the case.
I went to breakfast with a friend who had at exactly the same time been given a room available for early check-in. I returned, as requested, after breakfast but was again told that no rooms were available. I asked the check-in clerk how my friend had managed to get one and after consultation with another person, a room miraculously became available.
Other than that experience, everything was fine.

Stayed there for an early morning flight. Left my car at the multi-storey car park. Hotel food and service very good will stay there again
