Checked in late one evening after missing a connecting flight. As a Platinum member was greeted well, room was upgraded and given access to the lounge, plus a drink on arrival. Very positive experience after frustration of missing flight!

Apart from the restaurant facilities the experience was adequate.

Over priced and ridiculously slow service.
5 stood around talking while one young girl ran herself into the ground at breakfast.
Rooms are tiny. Watch your bar bill they like to add on the tips themselves.

As a treat omg was a complete shambles.

Staff were good, friendly and helpful. Room was supposed to be a Superior but couldn't see anything that I wouldn't expect from a basic room.

Its my second time stay. First time i got bed bug, not great. This time the bed i slept i felt the coil. I love sofitel, Its five star brand hotel, Staff are 4.5 star service, but sad to say its 2 star rating for the room.

From arrival (concierge looking down his nose at us & receptionist given the impression she would rather be doing her nails & talking to her friends than checking us in) the hotel gave an awful impression. The room was sterile & bland with uncomfortable bedding & pillows.
The only good thing was the bathroom which was well fitted & the proximity to the airport terminal.
Not a memorable start to my honeymoon!!!!!!!!!!

Room was okay. Mini bar empty, room service very slow. It was also cold like it had been taken on its own holiday around the building before it arrived. Check in staff promised invoice under the door so we could express checkout. FAILED. Wasted time at the desk for them to print a copy..... Come on get it together!!!!!!!!

Excellent customer service from arrival at the door by the concierge who were superb. Checking slightly informal and abrupt shame as the arrival and first impressions fabulous. The male receptionist who checked me in was training a female colleague which does not bode well for her. No eye contact from male receptionist curt and officious.
Room absolutely great loved the large window and could watch planes take off.
Ate in the Thai restaurant on site which was excellent, good customer service despite being incredibly busy, due to the busy restaurant noise levels not great and acoustics of the room did not help.
Breakfast fabulous.

Fantastic! Wished we stayed but longer to enjoy the comfort of the room, the very tasty breakfast and dinner at the different restaurants of the hotel.

Passable for quick overnight between planes nothing extra

Bar service was pretty appalling. If youre going to offer table service its a good idea for the servers to look at their customers rather than their feet when walking around, may sell more!!!

Your hotel must have been nice a long time ago, but sadly, these days screams of refurbishment!
I think I would find easier to accept the outdated factor if it wasn't for foul smells all around the corridors and air conditioning in the room which sounded like a broken old machine.

We were very happy with our stay here and will consider it again.
I was a little disappointed that the restaurants were not open, I had expected them to be.
In the end we stopped in London to eat so it was not important for this trip and it worked out for us.

The family suite is perfect the night before your flight, seperate room for the kids and space galore.

Aircon not working properly and very expensive lifts were a joke booked a meals give a different menu from ever one else that didn't book

We used the hotel for a one night stay before our flight, the hotel, staff, service, rooms were great, food was over priced.
We also used the parking facility, I would have to consider if to use this again.
On arrival to the car on the inside drivers side plastic tread plate a large foot print, the seat and steering column had been adjusted, radio station on another channel and set loud and the in car suspension setting had been changed along with quarter of a tank of fuel used. I appreciate the seat may need to be adjusted, someone needs to get a grip with the staff that move the cars, apart from the seat nothing else needed to be altered.

We arrived at 9pm and parking and checking in were fine. The room was spacious and well appointed if a bit tired looking. We didn't want much to eat and wanted to go to the Terrace Bar but this was being renovated - the urban cafe had no tables and a waiting time but hey ho we were tired and just went to the bar for a drink and some crisps/nuts. The prices definitely reflected the premium location and the fact that there wasn't any choice but we had a good experience and it was great to get up (at 5am) and be able to do quick check out and walk out via the direct link to the airport

Catered for everything we needed. Room was good with temp control.

Stayed and left car prior to a holiday and dined upon return. As ever, a very smooth check-in. Shower caps provided as requested. Wonderful bed and bedding as always. ALL staff, pleasant, polite, welcoming and earnest in their wish that one is happy and well-served.

Excellent as usual apart from the food in the bar. We ordered beef sandwiches with no horseradish they had horseradish in when they arrived and we returned them. When the replacement came the beef was extremely tough and was rough cuts off the end of the joint which was very hard. We had an early flight and could not stay any longer so hence didn't ask for further replacements

Best way to start the holiday. Very comfortable bed and well maintained room with a huge window. Great sound insulation, we couldn't hear the planes or traffic outside.

Friendly staff, clean room. Good food in the evening (beer a little expensive though!)

Ok for the airport comfy rooms good choice of food for breakfast 3 restaurants for food but prices are high

Great hotel. Perfect for Gatwick flights & the rooms are lovely, super comfy beds. we were stuck due to bad weather so has to go for a suite.... Totally worth it.

Allways stay here 2 times a year for past 6 years. Never any problems.

Small corner room for the night, layover between Madeira and Amsterdam. Nice quiet room. Easy access to North and South terminal.

Stayed here with business. It was absolutely fine. Food wasn t that nice. It s very handily located for Gatwick though

Jazzy hotel that s close to their airport, lovely inside. The downside is the narrow parking in their multi-storey car park.

Great service. Ideally located in Gatwick North Terminal when you fly Easyjet and your flight is cancelled ;-) Asian restaurant Vanda offers great meals. Room was as good as expected. Thanks

Rude staff member at check-in, single power point in a twin room.
As a transgender customer being asked FOUR times to confirm my name & title was damn right insulting.
Extremely unlikely to use a Sofitel again.

Had a 'runway view' room, amazing. Reception / bar area is very nice and relaxing. Only a 2 mins walk to North Terminal, took the hassle out if things. We'll be back.

Good for airport hotel although. Rooms are small. It's also on the North Terminal.

Of course it's ideal for being not only right next to the airport but. Easy for the Gatwick express train into London Victoria station.

We have stayed at this hotel many times and would highly recommend it. The rooms are great and staff friendly and helpful. An ideal place to stay prior to flying from Gatwick Airport.

We have to wait for our connecting flight fairly often and this hotel has great eateries.

Experience was great and location for north terminal was brilliant staff friendly and rooms were lovely
We did request an early morning call but it did not appear to happen. Only comment I would make is that the air con in restaurant areas was cold and lighting was dark we were their in the evening and felt it did not create a nice atmosphere.

Im giving this hotel 5 stars, we had a junior suite, with a double bed in 1room and 2single beds in the connecting room, 2fridges 2tv, s room has power shower, we were on the 7th floor with great views of the runway .breakfast was superb with a choice of cereals, continental, full English, yogurt, fruits, hams and cheeses. This is easily the best hotel at gatwick airport.

We stayed 3 nights here. It is a big spacious room and the location is great.

So why the 1 star?

Our last night my pillow was covered in someones blood stains. I couldn't believe it. I told the person who checked us out and her reaction was so non chalant. It was as if I had told her we needed more shampoo.

I couldn't sleep after seeing that disgusting blood stain. And of course my mind is racing as to where else some ones biohazardous waste is, and was it just swept under the rug.

WAS DISSAPOINTED WITH NO DOWNSTAIRS BAR OPEN WHEN SAT IN EMPTY SEATS DOWNSTAIRS WAS TOLD COULD NOT STAY THERE IT WAS FOR 5TH FLOOR UPWARDS GUEST WHEN WENT UPSTAIRS TO KULU BAR BUT AS A PARTY OF 4 NO SEATS AVAILABLE SO HAD TO GO STRAIGHT TO RESTURANT WITHOUT A DRINK WASNT PLEASE WITH MANNER ASK TO LEAVE WHEN YOU HAD PLENTY OF FREE SEATS AND THE MAIN BAR SHUT

Really nice hotel, good atmosphere and so easy for the airport. Just walking across to the terminal makes a massive difference when on an early flight!

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. If you are every going traveling in the international terminal in London then this Is the place to stay because its about a 5 mins walk to get to the airport. So you never have to stress about getting to the airport ready for your flight. Me and my brother stayed in a 2 single bed room and the beds are so comfortable too and the room sizes are just perfect, we meet some other family up thier and went for dinner too food was incredible. They also offer all you can eat breakfast. The breakfast is perfect to. Fill You up ready for a long flight and even if your not going in a flight it's a very affordable hotel and very posh one too. Staff are so friendly, approachable and helpful in everyway. Me and my brother where very satisfied with our stay and Sofitel London Gatwick, sadly we only stayed a night would of stayed longer if we could. We stayed on the date July 20 for a day and I will. Always use them. Every time I am. In London for a light

I needed a place close to the airport for an early morning flight. This worked perfectly. Just a walk down the hall to the terminal. I ended having dinner at the cafe which was terrific. Slight bustle of people checking in but overall a relaxing stay. Comfortable bed and bathroom size. Quiet rooms and good size tv. I would definitely stay here again.

Our stay with you with good except there was no hairdryer to be found in either the bathroom or the bedroom and for a five star hotel this should be standard. Also whilst enjoying a drink and meal in the bar area the loudspeaker system told us we had to evacuate. It was repeated three times. Fortunately we had finished our meal so we picked up our possessions and our drinks and followed all the other guests and evacuated. We had not gone far when a guest was walking back in saying false alarm so we went and sat back down to finish our drinks. We then proceeded to watch people who had heard the loudspeaker but were in their rooms appearing at various levels wondering what was going on. No loudspeaker told us it was a false alarm which in this climate of terrorist attacks and fires in high rise buildings is a little short sighted by the manager.

Love this hotel. Always a fantastic way to start a holiday. Ask for a runway view, if you get one it's awesome. Friendly and helpful staff. Brilliantly located for Gatwick which is a short walk away.

We have stayed here many times. The hotel is conveniently located, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is very good.

Ideally located, benefit of keeping hold of your car keys if only going away for a short break.

The Sofitel hotel is very easy to find. The reception was clean, well presented and inviting, with an inside out feel to the main reception area, a bit like a covered court yard, with a fountain in the centre. I was attending a conference, so I was spent in the basement conference suit, this was clean, unfussy. I don't think the hotel is a cheap affair, but again you get what you pay! My negative was unsurprisingly in the car park for the hotels there it was extremely expensive, so beware there, but on the whole my experience was good and uncomplicated, which is what is needed when you are travelling, in which in its self is stressful. Good experience

Overpriced and the Meet & Greet Car service was beyond a joke.

Very busy airport hotel, staff very attentive and helpful, which is good to see in such a busy hotel. We have stayed before and would stay again. Overflow car park is best avoided if possible.

Great location for airport (north terminal) so no transfers required. Rooms ok, bars ok. Better than the Hilton.
