We were there for a EEG, my son has special needs the tablet was not working properly, so we could sign in. Amissa comes from the back hollering "we need to keep this area clear" which caused my son to have a melt down and he walked out, the man at the front desk was very nice and helped me several times with the tablet after calming my son Amissa again comes with a wrist band sticks it in his face hollering again very loud "is this your name" we will never go there again, she embarrassed him twice on purpose I felt she humiliated us both I could not wait to leave.

The best hospital I have ever been in. The staff from the people who check you in to the janitors and all in between are courteous, polite, and professional. God bless all of them. Excellent doctors and nurses. No one could ask for any better anywhere.

All of the staff at Medical City Las Colinas were so professional and kind. I felt welcomed and safe every moment I was there. From initial registration to post-op recovery, I felt that I was in great hands. They did a phenomenal job!

First of all the morning nursing staff lead Jennie cursed at me. I reported this to Janet head person. Also Alyssa head nurse 2nd floor thinks things are funny when seeking help. I was then harassed by Jerry security officer giving advice bout medical issues that he is not trained or qualified to do. Things he suggested could cause a person serious or could lead to further harm. These three should be fired

Well here we are getting my right knee surgery. The left side went well but this one may take a little bit more work. I want to thank all of the staff that helped me with my recovery. I also want to thank Dr. Michael Muncy for an amazing job. If you need orthopedic surgery he's definitely the man for the job. Elite orthopedics is where Dr. Muncy practices. I am grateful for everything and look forward to walking around without pain. Thank you and I wish all of you a wonderful Christmas and a Happy and safe New Year!

I was experiencing bad headache and body pain. I was continuously vomiting in the hospital restroom. The triage nurse didn't care about it. In the emergency department I had to wait long hours. The triage nurse was rude.

I gave it three stars because yes you are in there in and out, but that's just it...You're in and out. So I took my husband here who was having terrible pain and sickness due to some unknown reason. The first time we went in the Dr. asked him some questions looked up his nose and said you have Sinusitis take this nose spray and you'll be fine. -__- I have been medicating him for several months with different things that I think would help him. None of those things helped. Then the next day we decided to go back to see if we can get a second opinion. Well, they ran more tests and said well, it could be this. Gave him steroids and sent him on his way. So finally after a week, he went to a different hospital, they ran different tests and found he had an allergic reaction to a specific metal. Sometimes in and out isn't always the best thing.

I hate to give this hospital a one star because this is where my wife and I are having our first baby. Sheryl (black lady with glasses) at the front desk was extremely rude and during this emotional time for me, this is inexcusable. I m we re still here in the delivery room waiting and I m so furious I can t even focus 100% on my wife and baby. This woman needs to be fired and not work with customers directly.

I ve been here for 24 hours already and went to my car so that I can get some things. As I came back up, I asked if I could go back inside the patient rooms. I had done this multiple times before since last night and never had any issues. She said no I can t I need an ID. Which is totally fine and I understand procedures, so I went along with it and mentioned that I had been here since yesterday. She gives me this look like if she caught me in a lie and said, oh really? I ve been here since yesterday and I haven t seen you once. Like if I m lying! Are you kidding me? Show some customer service and some respect! That kind of shocked me so I just kept my mouth shut, then as she was taking my picture I saw my nurses that I had been working with and at this point I m already upset with the blatant disrespect, and said to ask them since they re my nurses and I ve been working with them since yesterday. Then she gets more upset and says WELL EITHER WAY YOU NEED THIS! I apologize if they didn t check you in the CORRECT way! In a very sarcastic way.

This women needs to learn how to talk to customers! I am so furious I can t even focus, though my
Baby just dropped in heart rate. This is the last thing I need on my mind!

This is the worst ER I have ever been to. I was charged $20,000 for a stomach flu that was never treated. The CT scan cost $12000 which makes absolutely no sense as to why they would charge so much when I didn t have any surgery or a baby. Highly do not recommend!

This was supposed to be the hospital I had to give birth in because my doctor (Dr Kevin o' neil) was the one who had to deliver my baby but when I went in with labor pains (keep in mind I was having REAL labor pains and I was about 6 cm open) and one of the nurses that checked me kept saying no your only 3 cm but I could feel she wasn't checking properly and she kept saying you're not in labor you're not in labor and then I was having a hard time breathing and she kept saying you better stop doing that or your going to pass out HOW CAN I CONTROL SOMETHING THAT COULDN'T BE CONTROLLED I COULD NOT STOP MYSELF FROM BEING IN LABOR AND SHE KEPT SAYING I WAS NOT IN LABOR THAT I HAD AN INFECTION PROBABLY THAT IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH LABOR SHE SENT ME HOME AND TOLD ME TO HAVE INTERCOURSE SO I COULD ACTUALLY *BE IN LABOR* EVEN THO I WAS IN REAL LABOR she sent me home and I was 6 cm opened! I quickly drove to parkland hospital (which is only about 15 minutes away and when I got there I couldn't even walk and they rushed me into the delivery room and told me I was at 9 cm!!!! I WAS IN REAL ACTIVE LABOR WHEN I WENT TO MEDICAL CITY LAS COLINAS AND I WAS TURNED AWAY AND REFUSED TREATMENT BY A NURSE !!! the nurse seem pretty racist and mean towards me i was extremely disappointed not only was i in a lot of pain but my baby could have been in danger because in parkland i got an infection while pushing him out and my newborn had to get some medicine right away !!

I originally went to Medical City Las Colinas to see Dr. Fahoum, their pulmonary doctor. During his visit I was admitted into the hospital due to the severity of my situation. The staff here was amazing and helpful and I honestly believe I could not have received better care anywhere else. I'd like to give a special thanks to Colston, Jessica, Josh, Sarah, Leslie, Dr. Chu, Dr. Fahoum, Erin, Maria and all the nursing and housekeeping staff in the ICU and ER for the wonderful care they provided me during my week stay.

This was my first ever surgery, so there was a lot of apprehension about what to expect and the post operative care i would receive. I was blown away by the professionalism of the staff at Medical City.

The compassion shown by all members of the staff was outstanding.

So my friend went for an urology appointment as she had been going through a UTI problem for longer than expected. Dr. Lawrence J Altar saw her. The moment she stepped inside her room, he began with his own examination without asking about the history or even going through it himself. Her medical examination was so rough that she was in tears. And still the doctor had no sympathy. He completed his examination leaving my friend in total agony. The worst part is that he didn t even tell her about thr procedure. At the end of it all, he prescribed her the same meds as before. Total waste of money and time, the pain and harassment that you have to go theough is just not worth it. I would advise everyone to stay away from him as he treats his patients as cases and not humans.

I ended up having to have surgery here and the staff was great. The ER was a bit hectic. Both times I had to wait over an hour to get any kind of pain meds which is not cool when you can only sit up hunched over in pain and not able to lie down comfortably. Other than that it was a great stay. The nurses and techs were wonderful and my surgeon was great had me in and out in a matter of 3 hours. I m never sick enough to need to be in a hospital but if I am again I wouldn t mind coming back, as long as I got pain meds in a timely manner.

I had to go to the ER for something that could have been bad but Dr. Ham and his staff did a great job and were great to talk to in a scary situation! Everything was taken care of pretty quickly and I've been to several ERs

Worst experience ever! For being in "Las Colinas" and all its ghetto as can be. Nurses are ignorant, cluless, and talk to you with no respect. My 62 year old dad was being refered to as dude and bro instead of sir by two guy nurses. There is no communication whatsoever between doctor and nurses. They wanted to discharge him twice before even addressing his blood clot, which was one of the reasons he was admitted. I had to be on their ass all the time to even find out what was going on. We waited until the next day with no idea of what was going on and it seemed nobody knew anything. Im just glad i have some medical experience otherwise my dad would of been send home right away with risk of stroke or something.

Very dissapointing clinic. Careless professionals and staff. On more than one occassion, my family and I have experienced negligence and misdiagnostication. Another dissapointing feature is the banner they have put up these days: "Heroes work here". What a ridiculour, pretentious show of vanity. I will never go back there.

The service at the location was perfect in every way; however, almost three weeks after my visit, my doctor had not received the results. Not sure if the problem was at the doctor's office, but worth mentioning.

Overall it's a nice hospital with a somewhat attentive staff, but during a pandemic, I suppose that is expected. They had quite tasty food, however it took 2 days and a refusal to eat to get someone to finally pay attention to my dietary needs. Also, some of the phlebotomy staff can be quite rough and needs more training.

Medical City Las Colinas is an excellent example of how a hospital should operate. From the time I was greeted at the front reception desk to the time I left after my procedure, I was treated with upmost care and respect by friendly and helpful staff.

I was hospitalized for 5 days and while being hospitalized is never good, the team of doctor, nurses, techs, food services and cleaning staff made me feel that I was their utmost priority. My pain and nausea and concerns were managed like clockwork! If you have to be sick, this is where to be sick

Myself and my family have been patron's of this hospital for nearly 20yrs. All of my surgeries have been performed here and my grandchildren born here. Which is why I it humbles my heart to provide only 1 Star for my most recent visit.
I have a Medical City Hospital 2.5 miles from my home but because of my loyalty I traveled 35 miles with multiple ailments to this ER. I was placed in one of the ER rooms. I was initially seen and made comfortable by a nurse, but when the doctor came in she dismissively rushed through my list of ailments, putting words in my mouth instead of listening. Then she exited the room without a word of what was next. After a good while (3hours) I requested to be discharged. The nurse delivered my request to the doctor, I got no response. Then 2 "nurses" entered and said they needed the room for a more critical patient. My bed was rolled into the hallway and parked directly under a light (my condition was causing me extreme sensitivity to light). I changed into my clothes and proceeded to leave on my own when the nurse persuaded me to stay for 1 test. The doctor finally came to me and stated that all of my results were normal and prescribed me something for my pain.
I went home and checked the patient Portal to find that my results were not normal.
It really disturbed me that the treatment and bedside manner that I have referred so many people to and have enjoyed over the years had declined so drastically.
As an employee of the Healthcare industry, I am officially concerned.

Feb 13, 2020 I am amending my initial review and providing a rating.
As promised I received a call from the hospital clinical director. He was very gracious, patient and concerned about the treatment that I received that day. He conversed with me about my concerns on that day and my health in general. He was empathetic in his demeanor and even talked with me about a recent diagnosis that I received (from my other providers). I am grateful.

These are the types of actions that can assure a patient that care is still a part of healthcare.
By close of our call I felt confident that I had chosen the right hospital nearly 20 years ago and still courting.
I am grateful .

DO NOT COME HERE! My husband was admitted to this hospital in the end of October for a procedure. He was there a few days and received the worst care we could have imagined. He had been at Baylor Plano in May and had an amazing experience and then there is Las Colinas medical center...the doctors are unprofessional and rude. And the worst possible scenario happened to him when he was given a medication labeled and intended for another patient that had been there weeks earlier. After we complained about our experience to the directors and chief nurse, we were sent a very patronizing and accusatory letter from them saying they did nothing wrong. HIPAA violations are pretty serious in my opinion. I wish we had driven an extra 20 minutes to go to a better facility. Please take our advice and go elsewhere.

I highly recommend to all my friends and colleagues to come here for their medical treatment. The staff and Nurses are so friendly and helpful. Medical services are good and affordable. Showed care about the patient before and even after your procedure or treatments. Thanks to you all for the best experience I've ever received.

I love this hospital, this is the only hospital I will attend in Dallas Metroplex. They get you in and out. Every patient is their top priority and I love it. I've been here a billion times (I'm clumsy)! They haven't failed me yet!

This was our 3rd visit to this hospital and we kinda knew what to expect. Wife had a c section, however, this time around our experience was very disappointing. The nursing staff was very rude and had racial bias one of the nurse asked my wife can you read english? How bad is that? We felt awful. They were bossy, not at all helpful, my wife complained about pain and even after multiple complaints there was no response. Very disappointed with this visit. She's still suffering with some pain and blame is to nursing staff. If you are a person of color; be careful with this hospital.

I truly wish that I could give this facility less ...

I truly wish that I could give this facility less than 1 star. I meant to post sooner especially since my hand is still hurt, but life happens. Saturday 5/16/15 while moving some things in my apartment I turned too quickly and hit my hand against a bookshelf really hard. After a short while it started to swell and the pain increased. My roommate took me to the closest E.R. which was Las Colinas Medical. I knew this was going to be a nightmare of a trip to the E.R. when the triage nurse looked at me standing in front of the window (while I'm holding my left hand under an ice pack) and says "You have to check-in at the kiosk" and he walked away from the window. I checked in and waited. He called me back to check vitals and get medical history. He barely spoke a word other than to ask me what happened and ask the routine questions. . After he finished vitals he says "there are no open beds so you'll have to go to the waiting room" before I could stand up the PA walks in and says "what happened" I explain once again and in spite of the fact that Im holding my left swollen hand on the ice pack she says "which hand is it?" I look at her and say clearly this one. She bends over and starts to poke the massive lump on my hand and says "we'll get you to x-ray so we can get you out of here" . I go to the waiting room and whisper to my roommate that the triage nurse and the PA are both the rudest people I've ever encountered. So skip ahead I have x-rays done and go back to the waiting done. I get called to register and the registration clerk is clueless and keeps losing my debit and insurance card that are right in front of her on top of not being able to spell anything she typed in apparently. The jackhole triage nurse comes over and tells her to take me to a fast track room. She does. I sit there for less than 10 minutes and the triage nurse says were taking you to a room. I get to the room and Im there for approximately 20-30 minutes with no contact from anyone and the PA walks in and says "you have a contusion, i'll prescribe you some ibuprofen and get you out of here" I will never go back to this facility again. Everyone was rude and it seemed their only object was get people out of here. Because I don't have any faith in the assessment I was given Im going to my Primary to spend more money thanks to this poor excuse for a hospital.

The labor and delivery unit here is amazing. My wife had our second baby on March 13th and all the staff that came into the room (room#3)were sweet to her. Until this day my wife still talks about her nurse Christina because she was very knowledgeable and sweet to my wife. My wife s epidural didn t work and several nurses and the anesthesiologist came into the room several times to see what they could do to ease her pain. The compassion they all had especially Christina was amazing. She had to deliver with no pain medication and because of all the nurses and midwife Martha my wife was able to do it with no complications. I will forever be thankful for this team especially my wife s L&D nurse Christina and recovery nurse Jessica. I hope to one day be able to thank and show our appreciation to our L&D nurse Christina in person. Keep up the good work Medical city!

This review isn't necessary for being a customer b...

This review isn't necessary for being a customer but for my experience being interviewed by the company, so that any future or potential employees can be aware of what occurred with HR. I was interviewed for a Patient Care Tech apprenticeship program. The moment it ended I knew it did not go well and would not be selected. I was right, but the reason? One, there were two confidentiality concerns. Two, I struggled to outline positive reinforcement (My previous experience was in child care). The funny thing? Not once did I ever violate any HIPPA policy. No name, record(s), or other information was given.

Once I had turned my webcam on during the interview, I noticed an immediate change. I am beginning to wonder if perhaps they judged me by my weight, or maybe they just didn't like my answers. But I find it interesting how the air negatively changed once they saw my face.

I don't care that I didn't get in the program. What I care about is being lied to and them claiming I violated HIPPA policy when I absolutely did not. I take that very seriously and find that to be highly unprofessional. On top of that, the woman who I spoke to over the phone said she would send me the email containing their feedback so I can write a response for her to send to them, but never did, and she is hard to get a hold of. So here I am.

I am extremely disappointed by this company and hope that they will treat future employees a lot better.

Okay I would have rated this medical joint a zero ...

Okay I would have rated this medical joint a zero or half a * if I could have but I will give the building 1 * for cleanliness. The building was more polite than the bionic males and females helping staff I came in contact with And believe you me, that's putting it nicely.

I will explain my evening-mare. I'll start with my injury. I believed the my toe was possible broken. I know how bad this place is but it's the closes to me. It started around 6:45-7:00 P.M on the first of May 2017. After arriving at hospital I used the little computer to login. I set for 5 or 10 minutes with my daughter if that long before I was called to the first little room. A Bionic male asked what bought me to the E.R? I explained he looked at me as if he didn't believe me. That's cool he wasn't there when I was injured, so. He said you will need an X-ray. I explained how uncomfortable I was with getting an X-Ray and that I really didn't want to get one. Bionic male " IF YOU DIDN'T WANT AN X-RAY;WHAT DID YOU COME TO THE E.R FOR!!!!?"

That could be a legitimate statement but you must handle it better when your in the profession of helping others. My daughter text me How Rude". I stated to my daughter that's an understatement. Another ^ piece of * for one of the only two polite women I saw. She was quiet and smiled and did what she was supposed to do for a patient. Bionic male in little room stated that I would have to wait back out in the waiting room until a room was available. I told him no problem. I noticed a bit of favoritism going on if you were, how can I put it melanin challenged you were treated kinder and I will just leave it at that as for as the racism goes around there. The NP was a nasty B****!!!! I asked her how she was doing and she barely opened her mother to say fine. She didn't ask me how I was feeling or doing. She was in and out of there with in 5 minutes give or take a little. She didn't even want to touch my foot let alone my toe and my foot didn't look that bad. I clean my feet more than twice a day everyday. The Nurse was kind so three ^ ^ ^pieces of * because of her. In my opinion the bionics I came in contact just want the check that they acquire off the owners and don't want to honestly work for it. I'm praying that I don't have to go here again for a very, very, very long time if ever again.

Never got a call for my sons lab results. Called and the lady asked why I needed Them! And to log in on the website but I couldn t because I did not sign some paper. Ugh! Awful. The one on Forest lane as well. The dr didn t believe what I was telling her. She questioned me like my son didn t have a problem. I went to Parkland and are getting him tested like he should of had in the beginning. The only thing that they had going fir them (MC) is that they are fast .

They do not give you your information like if you test positive for covid, anything related to the lab they send you to a number to request documents. I have never been to a hospital where my insurance spends 15 grand and me not knowing what my bill is for. It took seriously several people and problems to go through to get my results one week later. You have to email m_f 8-5 to talk to someone and then it s 48 hours later. Good luck if you Gabe to have a work release. I would of rather gone to a minute clinic than this place any day.

A terrible example of efficient service. Arriving at 2:30 pm with my son having a huge bleeding gash in his hand, we were not finally released with the 4 stitches, done by a P.A. until 5:30pm. The people themselves were great. The P.A. More

My wife had to have surgery here and soon as I came to pick her up, I had to have inappropriate contact with the lady at the register. Went to the gift shop and the lady cashier racially profiled me. Went to ask the cashier lady something and she still talking to her friend. These workers in here are something else and it's not fair that they're so careless about their jobs. Always conversating about what they did last night. Little Ole slots. I hope I never come back here again

I admitted myself on a Thursday around lunchtime w...

I admitted myself on a Thursday around lunchtime with chest pains and was immediately assessed and treated. I haven't sought medical attention in years and had low/no expectations regarding service. The staff at LCMC absolutely blew me away. From the cordial interaction to the thorough explanation of what was being done, why and what the time expectations were I got the clear impression this was not the same team nor the same leadership I had read about in the older reviews before I came. Being in the Service business myself, I took careful note of not only their process but the attitude of the staff. Particularly, Austin (my attending ER nurse) did a great job keeping me at ease and informed of the process. The patient boards I found incredibly helpful and brilliant in their simplicity- I knew who everyone was, what tests/exams were scheduled and how long each was estimated to take. I also had a customer service rep visit with me in the ER to check on the quality of my care & experience... I have never had that happen before.
When it was determined that I had to remain overnight I was immediately transferred to a very nice- and quite unexpectedly private- room. Apparently the floor had already been served dinner, but my nurse (at her shift change BTW) took extra time on her own to make sure I got a meal (my first of the day actually). Imagine my surprise when the 'cardiac diet plate' ended up begin a pretty decent steak, mac & cheese & green beans! At this point, I was almost overwhelmed by the experience- most of my other hospital experiences being in the military. My room had another, more detailed patient information board that I could always check for updates and what to expect. I was observed almost hourly through the night, with vital signs and blood test being taken. Although obviously inconvenient, all of the attending staff were very apologetic and understanding when they had to wake me.
When morning came I had the last of my tests and every staff interaction was cordial, personable and genuinely centered on me. The staff in the ECG room for my stress test even live streamed the Masters Tournament on a laptop to take my mind off the procedure!
Before I was released I had two more positive experiences- the Nursing Team Leader Ron came in to conduct an exit interview (similar to one I had leaving the ER) to check on the quality of my care and experience while I was up in the room and a young lady (I regrettably forgot her name) who provided the most detailed medical summary I have every had- reviewing results, medication being prescribed, how take my blood pressure, all with an easy to follow written guide.
In closing, my heart scare was an experience I will never forget for all the right reasons, and the level of care I received at LCMC gave me lessons I took back to my own job to improve the quality of service my team delivers to my customers. Thanks to all of you!

First of all I live in downtown Dallas. This hospital was recommended to me and so happy they did. I went to the ER and was in a room within 5 min. Dr came in explained I would need surgery but it was not an emergency. I went to the refered dr there the next week and was scheduled for surgery the very next day. Besides the check in which I'm not sure what was up but the lady checking me in went to many lengths to get it figured out then everything was perfect. Everyone was very professional but not stuffy, attentive and kind. I felt very at ease. I'm healing up nicely. Thank you

Update: Hospital responded and I called back and no one has returned my call.

Terrible registration process. Employees are slow and competently unaware of basic medical registration procedure. Been here over an hour for something that should take minutes. Was initially quoted $3,000 for an ekg. We left, called the doctor in the parking with the specific CPT (not sure why they couldn t get this) and found out the exam should only be $70.

You make payments but $300 to $2000 bills are due upon receipt with threatening language on the 2nd bill because of PARTIAL payment. I can see if I made NO payment. Even rouge credit cards give you 30 days. If you have limited funds save yourself a headache and go to urgent care facility. Even a pre treatment estimate doesn't stand. The final bill was twice the amount quoted.prior to accepting the service. I will pay these bills and NEVER.go back! Solis mammography services

Our son was born here this past weekend. I would have to say the only reason Medical City gets a star was because the nurses are wonderful here but the facility is horrible. Let s start off with the day she is in labor a family across the hall had kids running down the hall. Then the grandparents sit outside the room in the hall arguing about why they have to wait in the lobby. Why didn t security escort them out immediately. Next we get to the postpartum room found a syringe left on the couch. This is the only couch for the father to sleep on. It s old dirty and stained. When they brought in a cot it was dirty and stained as well. Let s see what else the dinning area is only open for breakfast until 9:30, the lights in parking lot do not work so it s really dark at night. The final day of discharge after waiting for hours the doctors says he doesn t have time to do a procedure on our son to just go see our doctor. Honestly we regret ever coming here and will NEVER come back here again. If you are delivering I strongly suggest going anywhere else but here.

This was my third baby and honestly this felt like the worst pain wise. These Nurses and Midwives were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. They were very patient and understanding. They had answers for everything. Most importantly I felt comfortable with all of them and in the delivery room. I was also very comfortable in my recovery room and those Nurses as well. I 100% recommend this hospital.

Had a day surgical procedure done on May 1. The entire process from check in through release was completely smooth. All were professional, friendly and detailed in providing information about the procedure I was under going. I wish all medical issues could go as smoothly and efficiently as this did. I wouldn t hesitate to come here for any medical concern
