Little expensive since I'm from out of town now. I enjoyed the art exhibits but it's a bit pricey for what I got to see. Most of what I enjoyed was free and outside, eg the lights. But still one of the better museums I've been to. I'll try again when more of their exhibits are open. Just a bad day to visit

Great pieces of art in a somewhat eclectic museum in terms of architecture. Personnel not extremely helpful. Unlike many other museums in LA, not free of charge and expensive parking. Very low level cafe/ catering, nothing to stop for lunch for.

Was pretty disappointed to find out the main/permanent galleries will be closed for 4 years for renovation. The temporary galleries were still enjoyable and the price to go was discounted was that was nice.

Fantastic place where you can see a lot of post lights together on a very strict alignment art. Always when I m passing by I stop to take pics especially at night with the lights on of course hahaha. Come on and check it out.

While visiting LA, one of the nicest museums is the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the adjoining LaBrea Tar Pits. Multiple galleries await art aficionados who enjoy everything from Jewelry to contemporary art. While there, visit the iconic Urban Light installation on the Wilshire Blvd side of the plaza. At the opposite side of the plaza, near 6th Street, there is a Video art installation financed by Leonardo DiCaprio. It features a satellite view of a solar power collection station with just a slight bit of movement. Its very relaxing to watch.

One of the best museums in LA. Consist of half a dozen buidlings next to the Le Brea Tar Pits. Easy to spend 5-6 hours here. Parking is on site and less than $20. The Grove is 8 blocks to the north, also worth going to along with the Farmers Market shops and restaurants. Cafeteria has reasonably priced food along with a decent selection.

Such great art. The museum is full of wonderful beauty that you can share with a friend or family member for the whole day. Some of the most beautiful art in the world is kept on these walls.

This is a great place for just mulling about at a leisurely pace people watching and taking a breather. The Museum offers a placid plaza with open air chairs and tables next to a full bar near the entryway into the museum. Quietly nestled into the space is art instalments a huge garden and a veranda covered walkway between the buildings that make sitting in the shade a wonderful experience itself.

The Museum offers a wider variety of contemporary modern art pieces, though the hours are finite for visitors planning on seeing the exhibits. Opened only from around 9am to 5pm each day, it limits the general public viewinh at-large. except on Thursday evenings, when the museum closes at 8pm. Otherwise, there's always the after-hours Happy Hour at the Bar. And the shvanky restaurant which attracts the stars
... out at-night for the dinnertime crowds. Again, one of L.A's best spots to be seen at

Tip: go during the free days (check website) and try to park on the street for a dollar an hour rather than 16 dollar at the garage.

Overall, very nice collection of art and staffs are friendly.

Love the setup of this place. Numerous different buildings to go through. Outside areas are nice to walk around and talk. Exhibits change so you can visit often. There are places to eat and a cafe. People that work there are super helpful. California EBT card holders get in for free. I would definitely visit again!! Suggest that everyone go check it out, at least once.

LACMA is an amazing place to visit for people of all ages. Beautiful exhibits, interesting outlay and there are some incredibly famous pieces on display. Try and hit it up on free museum day (once a month) to save on the entry price.
Great coffee at the shop out front also!

So much to do at LACMA: urban lights, levitating mass, the La Brea Tar Pits ('la brea' means 'the tar' in Spanish), a section of the Berlin Wall across the street, food trucks galore, and a couple of onsite food options.

These photos show one of the grab and go food options in a converted old-school RV.

Nice..

LACMA isn't just one of Los Angeles is most venerable institutions it's a marvelous place to spend the day. There will normally be some special exhibitions that are terrific along with many items from their permanent collection. Honestly I can't think of a better way to spend most of a day.
