Great pictures. La brea tar pits was pretty cool to see! The buildings were so nice.

A great museum filled with great artworks from all periods of time, in all the buildings, with friendly workers, and beautiful people everywhere. Latin jazz is a fun time to dance when that's happening, and Friday night jazz is fun too when that's going on.
This place is HUGE!!! I highly recommend dedicating a whole day to it if you want to cover it all. Besides being very large, LACMA also has a very diverse collection that should please everyone.
Great place for family time and individual targeted raids. If you are in Los Angeles - do not miss. In addition to the exhibitions and museum shops in the presence of excellent installation for photographing
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is the premier art museum of Southern California.
Located along museum on row on L.A.'s Wilshire Blvd corridor this sprawling complex houses art from all over the world. You'll find a variety of rotating and permanent exhibitions.
The pavilion of japanese art is beautiful. And the kinectic mobiles and sculpture gardens fronting Wilshire Blvd beckon you to come and have a look.
LACMA is also home to two of the most photogenic outdoor installations in L.A. Urban Light and Levitated Mass.
I visited this place with my wife. Not my cup of tea, but I did find some interesting things to see.
And she enjoyed herself. I got to go to planes of fame museum too
While I went all the Renaissance, Reformation and Japanese parts of the museum were closed, I enjoyed the experience. Alone, with a friend or group, this place has everything for all parties. Seeing the beautiful arts and reading about the name, medium and age makes anyone coming learn something new. When I went I was able to see the orchestra and while I am not an active listener of clssical orchestra I enjoyed this one so much that it sparked an interest of this type of music. I spoke to multiple workers of the museum and they were all friendly. This is a perfect place to enjoy art with a friendly environment.
Great place to take your entire family. Not the best for ultra-little kids, but it's certainly a fun activity. Depending on the exhibit, kids get super into it. It's worth your time.
The museum is excellent and has many things to see. I liked it.
Great museum!! The architecture alone is worth the trip. Beautiful building and so many great exhibits to see.
Had always looked forward to visiting. What I didn t know was that a large portion of the exhibits were closed for renovation, including the Japanese and Egyptian exhibits. Personally , I felt that the $20 ticket (California resident) was not worth it. Of course , I will be visiting next year when said renovations are completed, and hopefully by then LACMA will live up to my expectations.
I love that they have impressionist, Renaissance, Oriental, hindu, Pacific, Spanish America's, modern art. Also the employees are helpful and informative.
Best Mechanic Shop in Los Angeles. I have a ford focus, they diagnosed and fixed my car same day. Friendly & Trustworthy. You have a ton of choices but I choose Dyrness for their knowledge and professionalism.
So big! You could spend days here. There's a wide variety of art and a good mix between older and contemporary pieces.
Beautiful place with iconic pieces. I love it everytime I go and there is a discount for people from LA. Good place for people of all ages.
unique exhibits (like the frank gehry exhibit not long ago) a great members / friends program. convenient, on-site parking, and lawns and outdoor cafes and bars. art & culture, but still decidedly LA in its presentation.
There is so much of the Los Angeles County Museum that I have not seen. What I have viewed has been terrific.
We really need to budget at least one whole day for LACMA, if we want to truly appreciate all this museum has to offer. Some day, we will.
For now, though, I highly recommend a trip to LACMA for everyone. At the very least, take a look see at the Urban Light exhibit. It is truly amazing!
Nice place to take the kids to learn about something new that's also old
Decent collection, but expensive for a county institution.
I never saw something like this in my country, excelent place to visit alone or with your family and friends.
Beautiful place to take photos. Especially at night.
I don't need to visit Europe after their collection
Love it. Great collection and a fun way to spend a great day.
Amazing collection of art and low priced admission.
Very father although most of the rooms are closed until 2024.
The architecture and grounds are a perfect place to spend an afternoon. The art itself is mostly lacking.
urban light and levitated mass are pretty cool outdoor photo opps, and metropolis ii is a fun exhibit indoors. this museum is huge and would easily take a half day at least to explore. if you have kids they can get in for free, and also bring an adult for free. parking is $12 across the street but if you come on a weekend there's plenty of street parking in the residential neighborhood.
A nice museum complex with installations even outside .. like that of the street lights ..
Great museum too bad its mostly closed during its remodel. The plans for the new building look amazing though and I'm sure will be great to visit for architecture fans.
The 3D exhibit was fun. There's a lot of amazing works from different eras. Make sure you designate a few hours of your afternoon for exploration.
Unfortunately, there was a lot of stuff under construction that we couldn't see.
Point of contention, there are no signs declaring whether or not you can take pictures. On that note, there's also some viewing areas where breathing isn't allowed. Watch out.
Wasn t too impressed with the museum. Especially it s layout.
I am so disappointed. It looks like a cheap construction office. Museum attendants are talking loud, dragging their shoes. Exhibits are too weak. There are a lot of mistakes on Korean and Chinese exhibits. China room is my bathroom size. The worst museum ever in the world.
Unbelievable museum seven of them worthwhile walk around talkart stories take photos break for a snack expresso ice cream sandwich amazing art and treasured artifacts plus "free" music concert much to see and do
Art is good. Not all art is great. The most fun we had was dancing around inside the interpretive dance area. I love its close proximity to the other museums and interest points. Also definitly check out the crazy large red elevator.
They did not go inside, but outside it was very noticeable and beautiful.
You have to come in time to visit this museum because it is made up of several buildings. The cost is $ 25 per person, which is somewhat expensive compared to other museums. But already inside the architecture is wonderful and you can find many incredible works. The average time received must be 3 hours, there is a cafeteria and a souvenir shop. They can make very good photos from outside the museum where the lighthouses and a giant rock are located.
You can take a picture of a pillar at the entrance. Admission is $ 15 for adults. Enjoy modern art + medieval European artwork. Some collections of famous artists such as Andy Warhol, Picasso, and Monet. You can take pictures.
Who doesn't love free things to do and visit? Free is my middle name! Jk, but on a serious note. It's definitely difficult to get a good photo without anyone around. It takes a lot of patience and friendliness to work around others people. That's the price you pay when something is free.
Try going later in the evening. It's a lot easier. Be mindful there's security, so don't try to climb or do anything crazy. Parking can be difficult. You can park in front for a few minutes with your hazards on, but be mindful of your surrounding.
Totally recommend this for an LA bucket list!
Basically this is a place for children's entertainment. They are interesting, informative and pleasant to talk with their peers.
Adults also have something to do. Modern art is far from being liked by everyone, but here it is rather sweet than not. The figures are also beautiful.
Los Angeles County residents have free admission after 3pm!
Love the exhibitions and quality programs for Educators
Perfect day trip to get lost in a vast maze of art and culture
Ive been a docent for 20 years; of course i like it!
Beautiful artworks are displayed here!! Both contemporary art and traditional arts are on site but not all artworks can be photographed so be careful. It's kind of confusing which artworks can and can't be photographed because there is no sign. There are about 7 levels so make sure to check out all of them!! Only takes about 7 min. to walk to the La Brea Tar Pits so that's a convenience :)) There are many cafes and restaurants around the museum but a bit pricey... 5 dollars for a croissant is a bit much haha Overall, it was an amazing experience
We had a great time here--tons of art. Be prepared to spend the whole day looking at beautiful art. Some is recognizable, and some is more modern. The museum has mummies from Egypt to Picasso paintings. Wonderful. It has some very original pieces of art as well. Very entertaining.
Recommended if you are interested in art. It is wider than I thought.
Great museum experience. A lot of works clearly illustrate more famous works by several artists such as Picasso, Klee, Kandinsky, etc. If you are in LA just for one day, don't miss LACMA.
To have... ! Go take your picture. It's the holidays !!!
Excellent museum, with an important collection of contemporary art that includes several pieces by Chris Burden and Richard Serra. The entrance costs $ 15 dollars, which are worth it.
One of the great art museums in the U.S. If you are a Los Angeles County resident you can get a discount for admission tickets.
I love LACMA it is such a great museum, it is the only place in So Cal that you can see the art of the world. I took my students for 27 years there and now I take my own kids and they love it. Cafe is great too, parking is easy. Love it!
Really fun and college students get a discount with ID!
Lovely museum. Guillermo Del Toro exhibit was amazing.
We attend Friday Nite Jazz and Latin Music on Sat. Nite
