The grounds are really cool. There is a gigantic boulder hanging over a recessed walkway that is great for photos. Surprised it is not more famous in a city all about photography hashtags art etc

We never made it in (have a little baby) but the surrounding area is great for walking, strolling with a baby, lying on the grass and generally enjoy LA weather.

Huge & impressive collections. Days of galleries, outdoor art, covered patios & refreshing cafes, all butted up against the La Bria Tar Pits.

Just saw the Guillermo del Toro exhibit...fascinating. Always love visiting the LACMA. Finally took my 9 year old and she liked it too.

Jazz on Friday. The best free music event in the city! Visit exhibits. Eat. Stroll. Enjoy!

Beautiful art museum with a wide variety of styles and time periods. I love their featured exhibits, especially the recent Guillermo del Toro exhibit. The staff is always courteous and knowledgeable. The gift shop could be larger, but I just love buying art souvenirs for people.

If you have kids sign up for the next Gen program. It's free if you have a child under 18 and once you sign up one adult is free of admission.

Definitely come here at night. Great place to take pictures if you're near by.

LACMA is just SO NICE! Lots of interesting exhibits both paintings n physical art.

LACMA is great but kinda sucked at the time I went, October 2018. Over half the exhibits were closed but they still charged full price which was something like $24 for me. There are a million better places to go for less money. Go to The Broad or The Getty instead. Buy tickets ahead of time online to skip lines. Would recommend setting aside a couple hours if u go to LACMA, there's a lot to see.

It s always nice to visit there. Many new exhibits and beautiful scenery. Unfortunately the main building was closed.

Beware Parking at this place is $14!!!!!! Its beautiful but parking charges are ridiculous!

Wonderful art museum many changing pieces a Nice mix of sculpture and on canvas

Not an enjoyable experience. Poor lighting, dirty walls, art descriptions too small, poor signage, walls need colour to add pop to the artwork, some walls sparse, and staff were either bored or rude.

Security guard was a huge ass hole to us for no reason. Made me embarrassed as a LA resident.

I love LACMA. So much so that I have a membership. They have great evening events in the summer and fun activities in the afternoon as well. There is a great variety of art, everything from Persian, Hindu, Latin american, ancient Greco-Roman and contemporary art

My daughter-in-law took me to see the Rain Room. It was a very interesting experience. I also discovered that Modern Art is not a favorite medium for me.

The staff in the kids art section were amazing and helpful. But the rest of the museum was filled with abrasive people who were attempting to discipline my 2 year old. The next visit I will be filing a complaint if the experience is the same.

Being a county museum is very good! The architectural design outside the door is very famous. There are many visitors.

The level of werewolf activity at this museum is simply unacceptable.

Had a blast exploring the galleries everything was laid out perfectly. Extremely enjoyed the Guillermo del Toro gallery and hope to see more of local artist like Chet Czar

This is such a cool tourist spot if its your first time to LA, its definitely worth of visiting. Its also great for pictures. What was so cool about it was that locals can have dates or even just hang out with friends drinking wine and snacking at the park. It was pretty cool.

There is a tar pit!!!!! In addition to this there is a great mix of contemporary and classical art in all forms. It can get a bit overwhelming because it was too large. I only made it about halfway through and I was overloaded after 3hours.

Beautiful place, the public space and the museums are perfect

We visited this place late in the afternoon so I did not have the chance to visit the interior. When you go there, take your time and wander around this complex of buildings, there will be a lot of surprises!

Got short private tour of the expansive museum in the middle of LA. Worth the time...loved. Saw only about 10%, hope to dedicate more time next time.

Not many paintings. I was disappointed, nothing comparable with new york museum metropolitan ou european museums

Over the years, I've never been to a travelling exhibit at LACMA that hasn't blown my mind. Their concerts, shows and events tend to be epic too. LACMA makes the Miracle Mile miraculous. MOCA and The Getty suck by comparison. You probably have to go to Western Europe or New York City to find a Contemporary Art Museum that compares.

Great place to come to see some art I would definitely bring the family great place to spend the day. Also during the week around lunchtime a line of great food tucks park across the street.

Only saw the outside which is a great place for hangouts.

Some expositions were closed. So sad not able to see Egyptian's exhibition

Glad I finally got the chance to go to the different exhibits here. Definitely worth the trip. Great pieces and can easily spend the whole day here.

Why are there symbols swastikas on the lights?? Other than that fun place.

Great exhibitions, great art pieces. My favorite part was the "Metropolis" with cars and trains. Also liked the 3D exhibition. Taking a break I visited the coffee shop "C+M" (Coffee + Milk). Enjoyed the day.

A great permanent collection and consistently interesting expositions.

This place has so many exhibitions closed that we felt short-changed for paying full price. It was not worth the visit and we left highly disappointed. Try The Getty or Getty Villa.

A great modern art museum with a fantastic collection of originals featuring Picasso's works, Dechamp amongst others. 4 stars cuz surrealism wasn't represented. :/ Where my Dahli @?

Over rated and expensive. Dusty, sad and awful lighting! Lights are so crappy that everything turns yellow!! PS: Pricey food. Cleveland Museum of Qrt is much better! A must-see and it is FREE!

Although many rooms are closed, the opening rooms alone worth the price (which is 0! Free Day!!!!)

I absolutely loved this museum of art. We really enjoyed the Fiji exhibit, as well as the Julie Mehretu exhibit. Great place to take pictures at the front of the public lights. I love this museum, if I lived closer I would visit once a week.This place is so big you could spend days lost in it. Highly recommend checking out.

The museum is beautiful and very friendly. One of my favorite places to visit.

Beautiful and picture worthy spot! It is placed right outside of the museum so you don t have to pay to get to it! Not as wide as it seems in the photos though but still picture worthy. The natural light angles are perfect. A must see if you like photography or selfies!

This place is huge and filled with beautiful artifacts, collections, and history. A must see museum.
