First time today. Got the burrito and a latte. All great. Passed on Starbucks to go local and did not disappoint! I ll be back

The coffee is good. Many varieties with two featured each day. For tea drinkers also many varieties. Tables and chairs of course; but also sofas and arm chairs. The ambiance is friendly.

Great cup of coffee. Had the slow poor Ethiopian and it was fantastic.

Our granddaughter had her graduation party here and it was great!! They have very good fresh made pastries and excellent coffee!! If we lived in Boise I would spend as much time or more at Awakenings as Starbucks. They also have free wi-fi and much more comfortable seating. We will definitely make this a repeat stop when in Boise!

Somehow I wish they had a little bit bigger menu but this place is one of my favorite places to be. It has a very very relaxing feel to it. Lots of space. Love the fun interior, chairs and tables aren't boringly all the same, they're different shapes and sizes, I like options OK? They have a little stage too, haven't been to any events but I think they have a lot of good ones happening there. Also I think you can make reservations for tables when you have like a group project or something, might be wrong but I'm pretty sure you can do that here.

I enjoy going to Awakenings, it doesn't matter if it is to work or just to talk and listen some music. Their coffee is great and the employees are really nice. Their menu is very complete, they even have gluten free stuff! It has an open floor plan with many confortable sitting options.

This coffee spot is welcoming and warm yet always has a spot for me to meet my friends. Great coffee, tea, snacks and even gifts!

Great place to get a well crafted espresso drink. Not many places in this area of town to do so, and Awakenings is definitely the best.

I was just there for a private gathering and the staff could not have been more accommodating and nice! Great place!

Been there a couple times recently. Coffee is great. Service seems annoyed that I exist most days and it's always crowded.

Setting lose my interest in this place. It is good, but not great. The cold brew is amazing, but they load your cup so full of ice, that your 20 ounce beverage is really only about 10 ounces.

There are also a lot of grey hairs in this place. That's not a bad thing necessarily, but it is starting to look more and more like a retirement home.

I love coming here when I need to meet with a client or when I want to focus on getting something done (usually creative writing or visual arts, sometimes homework). They have excellent food and drink options, including plenty for me as a pescatarian. The atmosphere is the perfect low-key busy and yet chill and cozy that you'd expect from a quintessential coffee house. You can really feed off the energy and get productive on whatever project you've brought with you. I love the decor, the warm wood architecture and glowing string lights. In the past I've met here with creative groups and it's a great spot for that because there's lots of seating and tables. This is just an all-around excellent cafe.

I love Awakenings coffee house! The owners and employees are so welcoming and always make me feel that they are happy to see me! The atmosphere is always bright, cheery and friendly, the service is excellent, and the coffee is perfect!

Besides the best coffee south of I-84, my favorite thing is the authentic 90s coffee house vibe. Lots of tables and seating if you want to work or meet up with friends.

I live right next to this place, and come here to study all the time. The atmosphere is so friendly and unthreatening. I have actually stayed here for more than 6 hours on some days! And of course, the crew is wonderful! I would highly recommend. Thanks guys for being my go-to place in highschool!

If your looking for good breakfast burritos and a great warm atmosphere with kind and gentle hearted people with great attitudes then you need to frequent this place it is a must for Boise.
You may also see a friendly local roaster going on and smell it live in the middle of the week.
Amber who is the kitchen cook will deliver up great grub with a smile. Do your self a robot and be treated they way you would expect to at a local coffee house restraunt. We just love the place don t forget to order a Boise burrito

I would love to do 5 stars next time. Went in with my son, we were in a pretty big hurry, ordered some food and tried to use our gcs from Kboi, not thrilled when he said I had to spend all $50 at once. Only disappointed. I just paid cash & put the gcs away. I would love to see more gluten free options on the menu. The coffee was EXTREMELY good and beautiful. My order did get messed up so it took longer than planned but mistakes happen everywhere. I know I make them. Excited to visit again.

Coffee was good, but the space is everything you want in a coffee shop.

I am a big fan of brunch. I was looking for something that I wouldn't have to wait in line for. I noticed this place on Yelp by using the maps icon near where I was shopping. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised by all of the awesome things that they had on the wall and the culture that was presented.

The vibe is modern and relaxing, kind of like Flying M, but with a lot more space. There is a spot for you to help yourself to ice cold water, games for you to play, a section of items sold by local people, and yummy food and drinks-- even beer.

They have real food, too. We got an omelet, which came with a side of bread (we chose the croissant) and my dining companion got the turkey sandwich melt and it came with lays chips. He also got a butter-finger frape and he said it was delicious. Oh, we both got avocado with our meals.

I really enjoyed myself at this place. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars was because it took 20 minutes to get the food and 22 minutes to get the drink. This isn't the usual I'm sure. IN addition, I didn't get the avocado inside my omelet as requested, but they brought me avocado once I made them aware.

I'm a fan and will start working from there when I want to get out of the office.

Really really good loose leaf tea. The atmosphere is my favorite part, they have lots of comfortable seating and a laid back feel.

Big place with room for groups. Pretty good coffee, a bit expensive. A small coffee is over $2 (one refill allowed) there are usually 2 varieties along with the decaf, but only one today, and it was only OK. The other flavor was gone and they were unwilling to make any more because they were closing in 3 hours and 10 minutes? The ambiance is good and the location handy. Crew varies a lot, Danica rocks. A good coffee shop.

I have not tried the coffee here, but we did place a group order for their breakfast burritos which were pretty good, just very expensive for the portion we received. We have had a few co-workers order food from here and reviewing their amount of food they receive for the price is well, over priced. The flavor and quality are great, but skimpy portions do not justify the cost. I am not saying the portion sizes need to be bigger, there just needs to be a better happy/medium between quality of ingredients to cost passed on to the customer for profit ratio.

As mentioned on the response from the owner comment. The food was pretty lacking in the quantity for the price. As the owner states "the $7 price is indicative of the quality of food", just to clarify "Boars Head brand meats and cheeses. The tortilla is made fresh in Caldwell, and the eggs are cage free." Tortilla's are not pricey, eggs are really cheap, and Boars head is mediocre quality as they have several additives & sugar to their meats (Google: Boar's Head food babe | for reference).

You should try it though, maybe I am wrong? But that is my review.
I would go back to try the coffee but I would not buy the food again as it is very over priced. The environment is great, nice place to relax as I waited. Great spot.

This is a highlight in my week! I enjoy being here. The staff is friendly, there are lots of places to sit, Really good selection of drinks and food, AND the atmosphere is amazing!

The coffee is definitely 5 stars but their food is more like a 1 or 2, my girlfriend got the BYO omelet and I got the scratch burrito. The omelet came out super dry and over cooked and my burrito was super basic the the price we paid. And OUT OF POTATOES!? It s Idaho guys, come on.

The coffee is good, and they offer a variety of food items. Staff are friendly and the place is usually pretty busy. This week noticed the addition of a fake fireplace and the rearrangement of furniture which looked really nice. Good meeting place.

They were very friendly and quick with serving my drink. They also had delightful live music i would definitely recommend a visit to them if you need a quick drink, or if you need a spot to meet with a group.

One of the better places to get an Espresso but as most places in Boise it seems to be about all the flavours being added and not about the coffee. Too often weak, sour and poor crema.

Jeff the owner, Awakenings Coffee responded to me and I have since learned about crafted coffees like crafted beers that there is a lot going into the final result. I am an old fashioned Italian dark roasted robust espresso fan. I have yet to taste a really good medium roast espresso but that is just my taste.
2 espresso bars have described Italian Espresso as burnt with no destinguishable flavors...I beg to differ.
Awakenings is differently worth a visit.

Awakenings has everything you would want from a coffee shop from coffee to wine. It's a busy place but not too busy. It's a great place to meet friends for a good chat, but it's also a good place to go to spend some time alone. I love the environment and I enjoyed my time there.

Very cozy place with really good coffee. I was surprised to see they had a kitchen and a beer/wine selection. Only downside was it didn't seem as clean as I would have liked.

I was in Boise for a weekend and came across Awakenings. From the outside in a strip mall it didn't look like much, but walking through the door was a nice surprise. Lots of comfy couches and seating. The food was fresh and delicious. Staff friendly and inviting. I went back on Sunday and the owner made me a pour over ethiopian coffee that was amazing. Highly recommend!
