During my stay one of the elevators was out of service and customer service was rude. On top of that they overcharged my stay and when I try to calling the resort they redirect me to accounting and they either tell me to leave a message or they hang up. I will not be returning to this resort.

A Little Mishap with the Elevators,But Honestly I wouldn't go anywhere else...Just Something that is Comforting..My Opinion.

Rooms are spacious and clean. The pools were a good temperature. Even though our weekend here was rainy, we are likely to come again. It would be great if there were better and more affordable restaurants on the resort property.

We hosted our annual school fundraiser here last night and as always, it was wonderful. We love hosting here. Plenty of room, valet parking, gorgeous views,. Thanks!

Once upon a time this was a resort where they cared about their guest and took care of them. It use to be called something else. Now days lots of things don't work and the place could care less if you are going to return. We had to call someone to come and change our sheets once we entered our room because they had blood spots., The next call was to fix the TV, the toilet seat had to be held up when I had to use it., The bar had 30 people in it at 11 pm and they stopped serving room service to the bar and the whole hotel. That is when I had to walk 200 yards in the rain to go to my car in order to go to Whataburger because we were all starving after a long day at a wedding. Most of the side walk was flooded between the hotel and parking lot. When there was a problem such as only 1 elevator working the staff blamed it on the time of the year by saying it was off season. If you had to call the front desk in most cased no one would pick up the phone. While we were there the fire alarm went off and they cleared only a few floors of the hotel which is 18 stories tall. What if it was a real fire? Did our safety not matter to the staff in order to alert us? The only way we knew there had been an issue is by others in our wedding party called us and asked if we had cleared the building after the issue was over. I read the reviews before we went thinking that it could not be that bad. I really didn't have a choice to stay there or not because the bride and groom requested that we did. This place use to have a large marina because it's on a popular lake but that is now gone. My thought is who ever owns this place needs to make some major changes quickly or close it so they stop bleeding money because the way it is and the service people are receiving it's days are numbered.

I went there last year and it was pretty fun. This year I was trying to reserve a room for Thanksgiving. Last year I reserved last second I got a room inside the hotel this year I'm reserving ONE MONTH earlier and so my moms on the phone with them and the women on the call is so rude. Telling my mom that her accent is not understandable. At the end of the very rude call, she tells us we cant get a room we want and must reserve a room half a mile away from the hotel. So we call a close friend and tell them that we bought a room so that they can go and buy one too, and they ask for the exact same thing and yet they get the room and we dont. Would not recommend.

We made a reservation over the phone. The person who took it replied verbally the correct dates. Unfortunately, the reservation department put in on he wrong dates in their system! We did not have a room ready.

It was a fun overnight getaway but there are a few things that could be improved or updated, especially about the hotel. Older plugs that didn't work, terrible remotes, no extra blankets or pillows. Overall minor. Service by the pool was slow but good was good. It's an ok place just know not completely high end.

Not open except for selling off bedding, desks, pictures, linens & headboard/bed frames at very low prices, some BOGO.

This place is quality but it shows its age. The carpet was a little smelly and the halls just had a very antique vibe, not necessarily in a good way. Front desk was extremely helpful and kind. The showers are accessible but get water all over the bathroom. It has a mini waterpark but I didn't go to it so I can't speak for it.Overall a nice place but could be renovated and improved.

No microwave, only am frog. Couch doesn't pull out, have to ask for extra mattress.

When I heard resort, I assumed something nice and a tad bit elegant. Totally disappointed. The carpet was filthy and hall area had a horrible odor. This place should be in the motel category. We ordered room service, $45 for 2 burgers, fries and soda. Waste of money. Burgers were horrible and fries tasted burnt. The bed was low to the floor and hard as concrete. I couldn't sleep at all and I couldn't wait for daylight to leave. We checked out and waited awhile for valet to retrieve our car. He was around the corner with some guy doing GOD knows what. He grab some keys and ran to the parking lot and returned with someone else's car. Not ours. He was giving us somebody's car. We had to tell him wrong car. He then asked if a Lexus was ours and we said no. Finally, he got the right vehicle. This place looks like it was abandoned or out of business and opened all of a sudden. Very nasty "motel" in my opinion. This is not a hotel nor a resort. It's a place where incompetent people work and a get away for trashy people. Go to Best Western or any other motel before going to this place!

The room had an old stale smell, double beds were really small; food was good

The family pools are nice and that s it. The over-resort priced food is worse than truck stop food. Most of it is institutional. The 20.00 per person breakfast buffet is gross with items like watered down runny gravy and I m not sure what the scrambled eggs were. Powdered? Standard fair, nothing special, gummy pancakes. Their food for events is even grosser. We had some kind of spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, dried chicken with capers. The salad was lettuce. Just lettuce. Frozen Lasagna from Walmart is better quality and I m not exaggerating. The meatballs out of a can of Spaghettios taste more like real meatballs. I do not think that pets are allowed here, but my room smelled like dog urine. There is not one comfortable piece of furniture in the room, everything is like sitting in a wood box on a pillow. What a total waste. Oh, I almost forgot, the cash bar...glass of house wine 9.00, but you have one selection, a nasty Chardonnay. Who doesn t have a Zen? Or a red with Italian? So bartender puts cranberry juice in the Chardonnay to make his homemade Zen. Gads.... As with other comments, housekeeping takes the towels, but no fresh replacements. No shampoo in dispenser, called for assistance with the TV service.... no one showed up. Pathetic. This is not a Resort .

I stayed there for a small birthday party, and i loved it.

We had a great time here last sumer. Looking forward to coming this spring to play golf , hot tub, spa

Went to get drinks here after a friends wedding so I only saw the bar area. Had a good time and everyone there was nice. The only issue was that it was a little crowded but that only means it must be a great place.

Nice hotel. Wish there were more restaurant choices but overall food is good! Great choice for Ren Fest weekend!

Went to the banquet for Royce and others to get rewarded pins for work.

Quality service for a very reasonable price (admittedly, during off-peak season). The location is a bit tricky to find, but the employees were friendly, the Continental Breakfast was as good as you'll get anywhere else, and the room was very comfortable.

I did not stay at this hotel, I only attended a wedding "after party". Self parking was very confusing, but the on-site bar was nice.

Very nice place but is dead in October so almost everything on the property was closed.

It's good if the event for which you're here is on site and you don't want to do a lot of driving.

Was so much to do its Beautiful. Staff was so friendly.

The gym was closed due to a leaky roof, Energie Bar on the property was closed also. To add to the fire the pool smelled like dog crap Because there was dog crap! There's really nothing to do and very expensive !

We were guests of an outside evet. Very well organized. Wonderful accommodating staff.

The rooms were nice, the staff in the hotel was very nice. The staff in the water park area not so much. We got rained out so maybe it would have been better bit outside staff seemed to mostly consist of co fused teens.

I ordered a side of fruit with my meal and there was mold on the blueberries! Disgusting! And our balcony is full of spiderwebs and fly s.

The entire place smells like mold & mildew & good luck finding an employee when you need one.

The rooms were dirty and slightly run down and it was overpoverpriced for the condition. We had to transfer rooms because our first was so bad! Stains on carpet, torn desk chair and torn curtains! Next room was slightly better, but we were already turned off on the place so we really can't enjoy it.

Staff has been extremely nice and helpful. Rooms are spacious. They have updated it in parts, but it still feels a little dated.

There were probloms with the weather heaters in the pool the restaurant 157 they gave me two small buggers and on of them were not that cooked but one of the managers named Vincent was really nice

Wait staff was amazing and the rooms were very clean and moderately sized. I could have used a better showerhead, but it was clean so no real complaints. Overall great time

Was there on a very busy 4th of July and the pool was pretty dirty. I can't vouch for other times, but wasn't impressed this visit

The location is quite far out around the lake, but it is in a beautiful area. The hotel itself is top notch and very nice. There's a bar on site across the parking lot, the rooms are very lovely, although pretty expensive. The staff is top notch and very accommodating.

Still renovating after the hurricane, but it was still a great place to visit and a good time was had by all.

My friend hosted a boat party here and it was excellent the conference room and dine in area was amazing and the staff is friendly and many things to do dont have to leave the resort.

This place is phenomenal. Especially during New Years. The fire work show is awesome as well. Very satisfied

It was fun to play in the pools and lake. My girls loved roasting marshmallows and eating smores Saturday night. the staff was amazing! We had a rough start with our reservations but they fixed it in the end. Be prepared to sell a kidney to pay for all the extras. The best part was hanging out with family. All in all, for the prices, it is average. On a side note, I am celiac and they offer very little tasty alternatives and they don't mark anything at the buffet. I would think for such a large resort with such high prices for food, they would be a bit more savvy about dietary issues.

Hotel Resort is ok, enjoyed staying there.Valet parking is offered. Rooms are a bit small. Please divert the water runoff by the reception area. Shoes got wet due to puddle of water standing on sidewalk. Staff were friendly. Buffet offered. Was here for a wedding asked restaurant that was serving wedding we were attending if we could have some containers to take some cake. Thinking they would be the large containers, they gave us two small one's.

The event here was done well. Staff was really nice.

We stayed at La Torretta the night of Nov 3rd for my partner s birthday; just to get away from Houston and all the house. The resort itself has tons of amenities and things to do. Our primary complaint was how dirty it was. The windows needed cleaning badly and there were cobwebs throughout the restaurants (including the Lakeside Steakhouse) and the wine glasses were smudged and dirty.

Onto the real issue here: the spa. We booked a couples massage at the spa and intended to spend some time there in the sauna and other areas relaxing. The men s sauna was closed as well as the hot tub. My partner s massage was okay. Mine, however, was the worst I ve received in my life. She kept talking loudly throughout the massage, she scratched me multiple times with her fingernails, and regardless of how often I asked her to take it easy... she did not. She also massaged my feet much longer than the areas I asked her to cover (wth?!). Today I have intense back pain and muscle pain and had to make an appointment with a chiropractor to handle this mess when we return. I could hardly stand up straight when I got out of bed this morning. The mens lockeroom also smelled terrible and the floors and showers were extremely dirty. If you visit the spa, which I advise not doing, I d advise you to at least avoid using Cha Cha (yes, that s her name) unless you enjoy pain.

Overall... -1 star based on spa experience. 3 stars for the resort (would be a solid 4 if it was clean). So... I hesitantly give the entire experience 2 stars.

Stayed 2 days here , NOT IMPRESSED......I will say the water park was fun but shut down due to lightning tho we saw none.......there was a extra charge on our bill for the Mocha Cafe that we did not use , when we asked about it the staff said its just a charge added to every bill ....it was 11.30$ and they did take it off without question but that makes me wonder why it was ever added in the first place . CHECK YOUR BILL VERRY WELL , we talked to other guests that had the same charge added for no reason . Our bathroom light in room 214 had duct tape holding it to the celing . The parking lot is located pretty far from the hotel they had golf carts at the front that may be used to shuttle from parking to hotel , but we never got a ride to the parking lot . We used 2 different ice machines in the hotel , both had bugs in the ice machines .

Great place, lots to do swimming, golf, tennis and several restaurants. Jack the British guy on the front desk was very helpful, professional and went the extra mile! Needs a few upgrades but in a great location!

The rooms are fantastic and very clean. The location is great, along with everything it has to offer, including the restaurants and pool. The service is very good, very nice people

The resort is beautiful but the food options are very limited and meh. My wife is vegan and they do not cater well to anyone who doesn't eat a strict diet of meat and cheese. The pizza in the restaurant was flavorless.

Easily one of the worst experiences at a resort my wife and I ever had. They must have paid a ton of money to build their website because the place is not a 10th as nice as it actually is. The parking situation is horrible and the parking lot is actually unpaved. What kind of 4/5 stars resort has an unpaved parking lot? The room itself is nice but the pillow case smells like it hasn't been washed for months.

But the worst experience was at their on-site Prime restaurant. My wife and I arrived at the restaurant at 7:45PM to celebrate our 2 years anniversary. There was no hostess except a sign that said "Seat yourself". Twenty minutes after sitting ourselves down, no waitress has come around to give us menus or at least greeted us. We had to pick up a menu from the table next to us just to look at the menu. A couple of minutes later we have had it and I went to share our displeasure with the restaurant manager. She was apologetic but we were too disappointed to eat at this point. We ended up driving all the way out to I-45 to find a restaurant.

Easily the worst experience ever.

Can t say a lot of good about this place. Our bar drinks were watered down. Our room was a dirt pit. I had to go to the front fest and complain 2 times in order to get our room vacuum. The windows in the hallway were so dirty I wrote clean me please on them. One of the men at the front desk looked like he was still hung over from two night of drinking cheap beer I would go stay in a barn for the $$$ money they got me for these rooms

Dirty Lake Villas- worn down and not cleaned very well from previous night guest. The restaurant food was low quality, wouldn't waste your money.

The hotel wasn't terrible, but I was slightly unimpressed by the quality of the rooms. It was either cheaply built pout poorly maintained for the price of the hotel. I stayed in the golf cottages. Overall just a ok experience.

This hotel came from many previous recommendations so my husband and I were super excited to spend our wedding night here. Especially when you go online and see all that they have to offer to their guest. Unfortunately during our stay many of those things were not available. A few of the eating facilities we walked past were not open during their opperating hours in addition their massive spa facility had one working employee that could not preform the services we had come wanting. During our stay the power went out for two plus hours. No back up generator was available so instead of spending our time in the room we spent it in the hotel loby as our room was far to hot. We had sat in one spot inside the building and got our self comfortable until water from the ceiling started dripping on the two of us. So we relocated to a very loud less personal area as we had no other option. Over all my expectations for this experience was far higher than anything we were met with. The staff kindly took off room service and resort fee which totaled to $60. At the end of the day for what we payed and what they were unable to offer any other hotel could have done what this resort didn t. I do not think we would feel compelled to ever recommend or even come back.

Check in today at 4 pm. The check in staff was extremely rude an unattenative. It was our first visit here so we were unsure of how things worked. As I pulled in I asked how we check in and was instructed to park my car and leave my keys inside for check in. Check in lady was extremely rude to me and didn't explain really anything about the things that were offered at the hotel. I was handed a brochure and told where my room was located. After taking all our belongings I go back down to get my car and no one offered any advice or direction on where to park so I just drove around until I found a parking lot and parked. It was more than a half mile walk back to the hotel. When I get up in front I asked the valet guys why the walk was so long ....there was a closer parking lot I was unaware of and I was never offered valet. No one helped me load luggage. We ordered "nachos" and sprite while at the pool. We received red and green tortilla chips with a tiny cup of cheese, Guam and sour cream. The sprites were in tiny clear plastic cups. $12 for "nachos" and $3 for sprite. Arcade was a bust... most machines were broken and took our money. We were kept up late at night by our neighbors screaming and banging on things. The walls are paper thin and we could hear everything. The whole experience was just awful . For as expensive as this place is you would expect better order and better service. We actually live on lake Conroe and just wanted to stay a night for the kids to have fun. It turned into an absolute nightmare. Never again. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Hell La Quinta has better service and is much more peaceful for sleep. This was absolutely outrageous. Stay away and save your money !!!!

Was out there for a convention. The resort was real nice and clean. Friendly staff, nice choices for food and drink.

Service was not so good front desk had room mix up with the rooms went 1st room and there was some luggage in the room second room someone sweater on the chair so I told the bell hop I did not want that room so went back to front desk and the problem was resolved

Great Resort. Kind of pricey but if you like Golf, the course is beautiful.

unable to order drinks at the pool, at dinner time the restaurant had very few people working, long wait just to place an order, the beach is not well maintained, the rooms and pool are great, just plan to eat at another place.

Went to the Lakeside Restaurant for dinner. Beautiful view, we went on top the terrace for pictures and a sunset view while we waited for our meal. The food was delicious but took a long time.

Located in the area of Conroe, Texas the location has the potential to be a nice place to stay. We booked a cabin/cottage on the golf course. It was located on the golf course, next to the maintenance shed with a wooden fence obstructing the view of the course. The only unit like that we saw during our stay. That could have been acceptable if it weren't for the broken window with bugs coming in the room. The hole was low enough that a snake could come in so upon investigating behind the headboard of the bed near the floor I found the worst spider webs. So we called the front desk and they moved us to a room with no broken windows. In the new room the shower curtain had mold/mildew all along the bottom. We tried to tell the maid but she didn't understand. In the end all we got were some extra blankets we didnt ask for, and the shower curtain was still black. The room has 2 full beds, wifi is not strong but was free. As far as activities we saw people doing everything listed in the brochure except using the fitness center. It was being renovated. Spring break is not the best time to do that. Lines were long to talk to the front desk about problems, and they were under staffed for a sping break week, not the time to train new people. Oh and the golf course looked fine from what I saw of it.

Great getaway. Not much to do during the week in off season. Nothing was open.

We had an all-around great time. The hotel was clean, the rooms were great, the water park and mini-golf course were tons of fun. The food was clearly overpriced and relatively low quality, but there were lots of great options for restaurants in town. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with the number of orders placed for poolside lunch, but they seemed to be making the best of it. Overall a great experience.
