This was such a wonderful place to stay. Top notch customer service with an outstanding staff. Food like no other with the freshest of the fresh. If you stay in Santa Monica do yourself a favor and stay here. Any issues you have they will smooth it out and provide you with a phenomenal solution. Hats off to your front desk staff they are truly amazing. Special shout out to Wheeler and Garrick at the desk in management. They helped tremendously in making this an awesome vacation. Worth bringing our whole family back next year.

Discriminatory to disabled persons, really rude and inept staff made me feel humiliated when I paid a thousand bucks to stay there for a weekend. Discriminated against myself and fellow guests, also after flying 300 miles for a cat and asking for a cat or general pet store, Marcos at front desk sent me 20 minutes away to a dogs-only shop where I couldn't get the ONE item he said they had! Don't waste your money. Stay ANYWHERE else.

Great location in Santa Monica on Ocean Avenue. Stunning vistas and views. Gorgeous pool area with super curteous and helpful bar service (slow, though). Loved the Lolabo ameneties in the room! I'm sure it depends what room you stay in, but certainly felt that the rooms themselves were nothing special, especially given the hefty price tag. Bungalow, the bar/lounge on the property was an awesome place to be at night, but I would venture to guess it can bring a lot of unwanted noise to those guests in rooms facing the club. Members of our party had to wait 2+ hours for their rooms to be ready, even though we arrived after check in. And when they did finally get their rooms, their luggage was delayed. Expected more from such a reputable and "prestigious" property. Overall, really spectacular grounds & hotel. The property itself is very luxurious.

A little old the hotel and it shows in the rooms but the location and the bar The Bungalow are incredible. I would go back without a doubt. Good service and although I would like more modern rooms for the price they are not that bad.

Absolutely the best massage I have ever received. Kerry is absolutely World-class. Emily at the front desk is super friendly. The massage I got was so good I decided to book twice in one week. The fairmont is not inexpensive but for me it's worth every penny.

Dope.

AWESOME

TLDR: avoid this hotel if at all possible.

TLDR: avoid this hotel if at all possible.

Will never stay at a Fairmont again, and Michael Dell (Dell Computer) should be ashamed for running this hotel, which is being planned for demolition and replacement within the next couple of years, with skeleton levels of investment.

Problem after problem, from reservations that somehow landed at the WRONG HOTEL which we only caught via close read of the email,

-Rooms and bathrooms VERY small, beds
without fitted bottom sheets yet poorly tucked in flats,
- limited pool space, men s spa/fitness center locker room and sauna closed for renovation,
- windows so old and thin that even from 3rd floor you could hear Marco, polo at 930 pm at night. Also swore there was no UV filter because room would get HOT if shades not closed during day....and only single heavy curtain not two.
- front desk ran out of LA Times at 7:30am on a Sunday, $50 for overnight parking, they lost my moms car and she had to wait half an hour for the valet to find where they put,
- The Bungalow on property is basically a nightclub and very bridge and tunnel at night,
-set the thermostat to 63 because I need to sleep cold and it wasn t anywhere close to that, the useless android tablet in the room was pointless and would light up randomly,
limited staff in lobby lounge, and no luggage cart when I checked in, no ramp up the 10 stairs to elevator section from lobby to pull luggage.

Dell s Four Seasons Maui is one of my favorite hotels, but we paid over $600 a night for the Fairmont and this is completely extractive, would not pay $200.

One of the benefits of a billionaire owned hotel is they don t need to nickel and dime but that s exactly what they are doing here since they know the hotel will be knocked down soon.

SO never staying at a Fairmont again that s for sure. Oh and SHIT WiFi!

Came to the Fairmont for an internal meeting. Great meeting space and snacks for the day. Also we had a private bartender for happy hour. The staff was very attentive and made for a great day. Good times!

Incredible hotel. We have stayed here on 2 occasions and both times we were amazed by the quality of service. Both of the rooms we stayed in were modern but had classical California touches. Fig restaurant is not to be missed and their pool is lovely for a quick dip to cool down. They also have a small fleet of bikes which are loaned out to Fairmont Presidents Club members.

Went to a lovely Women breakfast here in a very large ballroom. It was quite lovely however the even was scheduled to start at 7 am and the room wasn't done getting set up when we arrived.

We have been to Fairmont many times, but the house / hotel was totally overwhelmed with the guests and the normal demands, everything in the outside area around the chairs / tables was dirty. The staff was overwhelmed and unfriendly. Our two rooms were very far apart, although we had already booked and paid for months ago.
A bit impractical as a family with children.
The facility is beautiful, the staff in the service and at the front desk very, very unprofessional.

The staff at the hotel is amazing. I had lunch at The Fig restaurant. Food was delicious and relatively priced well. The rooms are too expensive for me, hopefully I would be able to stay there one day.

This hotel is beautiful and feels very upscale in the common areas (pool, lobby, etc) but that quality does not carry through to rooms and service. We booked a suite for a special occasion and were disappointed with the quality of certain things - requests ignored until we called several times, uncomfortable linens and bed, general feel of a pricier room.

Many staff members we worked with in the lobby were exceptional and the food at Fig is great, so overall 4 stars. If you're looking for luxurious rooms I suggest you look elsewhere in this price range.
