The room is nice and clean, the pool and hot tub are great. 46 dollars a night for parking and 9.99 a night for basic wifi is a bit crazy when you are already paying top dollar for the room. Location is great right near shopping center and beach as well as pier.

Can be a bit sceney , but in the area, few bars can match the location, ocean view, and beachy vibes of the Bungalow. Excellent bar for those that enjoy the sport of people watching. Try to avoid the long lines that can form between 2-3:30pm on weekends.

I booked a Deluxe Room, 1 King Bed, Balcony, Ocean View, what i saw on the picture was a beautiful room with a few, the balcony had a glass railing that you could see through. What i got was a filthy room with a stained carpet and dirty bed sheets, the balcony railing was made of thick concrete, pretty high, to see the view you had to go outside and lean over the railing. The sink in the bedroom wasn't draining we asked for a room replacement, they told us the they can not give us another room unless we pay for an upgrade, and that they will fix the sink. We came back in the evening the sink was not fixed. We paid $1750 for three nights, I expected a little more or at least what i paid for.

Front desk girl name "Megan" was very unprofessional, untrained, and unfit for her position which is front page of this Hotel. I would never recommend my worst enemy to stay at this Hotel. Very rude and unorganized staff.

The outside bar has a great view of the ocean and is a great place to kick back and relax. The surf-themed inner portion is also quite interesting to check out (tons of random artefacts and knicknacks to check out). Nice hotel!

Every service was amazing from the valet, to the bike rentals, to the in-house restaurants and lobby bar! Be sure to check out the koi ponds and take fitness classes at barre! 10 out of 10! My wife and I just had our wedding here, at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows.

We can describe our experience in one word: AMAZING. From start to finish, Fairmont and The Miramar Hotel and Bungalows was a premier location for our "Californian Wedding".

We started our wedding planning journey in February 2013 for our September 6, 2013 wedding.

Fresh in our mind from last week, this is our review of our Friday afternoon wedding. We held our ceremony in the entry drive under the historic fig and reception in the Wedgewood Ballroom.

The hotel offers packages with typical wedding offerings and allows you to make some adjustments to suit your needs.

The Ceremony - Chairs are set on the drive with the ceremony facing the tree. We set our quartet under the tree and had guests blow bubbles as we walked out.

The Cocktail Hour - Post ceremony our guests were offered hors d'oeuvres and cocktails under the tree while we took photographs at the beach.

The Reception - Our 120 guests entered the Wedgewood Ballroom for dinner and dancing. All dining staff are dressed impeccably and were focused on our guests throughout dinner service.

Starter - Wild Mushroom Ravioli
Salad - Arugula and Endive with Pecans and Apple
Entree Choice - Filet Mignon or Sea Bass with Quinoa
Cake - Included in our contract was cake from Vanilla Bakery on Wilshire

We knew during the planning period, The Culinary experience from Ray Garcia's on site Fig Restaurant was of top quality. We wanted to make certain no one went hungry. Not only was the food amazing, all of our guests left full and satisfied. I personally had the Filet Mignon, quite possibly the best beef I have ever had. The Sea Bass was equally delicious.

The Dancing - We had a few hours of dancing and drinks and these were very pleasant. Security kept any hotel guests out of our event and restrooms are just next door.

The Hotel and Location - The hotel is above the California Incline (About 20 min walk to the Pier or Ocean) It has good (but not great views of the Pacific Ocean) The hotel bills itself as 4-5 star with room rates to match. As the wedding couple we were afforded a beautiful suite (in contract) and reasonable rates for guests committing to rooms early on in the process. Our guests booked about 20 rooms early on, closer to our wedding the hotel was sold out. Check in wasn't until 3pm, so guests arriving the day our wedding had a slightly tricky time while the staff readied more rooms. The hotel is showing it's age in some guest rooms, but the intention is to refurbish it over the next 10 years with major construction and renovation.

The Hotel Service - Everyone we came across was attentive and attempted to offer exceptional service and make our stay amazing.

The Sales Team - Headed by Senior Weddings and Event Manager, Krystal Kiremit, was our Sales Coordinator. She is wonderful and responded to questions within 1 day. As she is not an onsite Planner, certain aspects will need to be decided with an external planner and or day of coordinator. This was not clear until we signed our contract, but was fine once our expectations were clarified.

On the actual wedding day, Krystal went above and beyond to make certain small details were handled and small gestures helped make our experience even better.

While every wedding is different and can be infinitely planned and costs can be increase exponentially, Krystal, Fairmont and everyone involved helped us have a wedding for the ages, we were extremely happy as were our guests. This property is an excellent choice for our event. This was our "Classy and Quintessential Californian Wedding"

Too bad we don't get to have a 2nd wedding :)

The service is perfect. We had arrived early for our reservation. Raymond looked after us and upgraded our room. He directed us to the lounge and arranged to take care of our check while we waited for our room.

I'm a Fairmont platinum member. This place isn't worth it for me or for those not getting auto-upgrades. It's tired, worndown, full of kids partying, beach access is a joke (30 chairs, no alchohol). Bungalos are nice but I seldom get upgraded to one. Always packed with events that take priority over guests. Like, always. Literally you can't walk out of the lobby on some weekdays to Wilshire. Everything off limits. Forget weekends.

It is one of the best hotels in the city of Santa Monica. I personally recommend them to come and stay and they will take a good impression both the service and the quality of the hotel will make your dreams come true

Wonderful location right next to the beach. The service was excellent, but the meeting rooms were chilly. Parking is ridiculously expensive. I would suggest parking a block or two away at a city facility at significantly less expensive cost.

We visited their bar/lounge Bungalow. Always a cool, relaxed vibe. Drinks can be on the pricier side but made well. It's really about the atmosphere here though,.. Feels like you are at someone's house party, in the back yard.

Service was kind of slow. There was a long wait but looked like there were some empty tables. Food was okay. Burger toppings were fresh, but burger meat was just meh. Not bad, but it dodn't have a ton of flavour. Fries weren't as crisp as they could have been.

Went to the bungalow on a Saturday night. It's was packed with people, getting drinks was a little difficult but luckily they had a staff member moving people away from the bar that were just standing around. This place definitely knew what they were doing. Great place to chill with a group of people but be prepared to spend some money.

Exceptional service! After complaining that our room was noisy at night because of the bar downstairs, we were moved to a much better room. Many thanks to Ray for his help in moving our luggage.

The bungalow is a nice day time outside bar in Santa Monica. At night it turns a little less desirable and the service gets worse. Still a nice outside location but expect crowds and a more pretentious crowd.
