Busy, very few personnel around to answer any questions you might have, felt like I was looking for a clerk in Wlalmart. That feeling went away when we got to the cash register.
After all Christmas IS over.

The main Freeport store has everything I need.
Heather is very helpful and delightful. Steve, on checkout is so kind, efficient and courteous. Renee's, a greeter, is an asset to Bean. She is warm, friendly and a joy.
Please consider opening a store in Annapolis, Maryland. Rockville is too far.
Thanks

Messed up my order 3x on an order of 4 items. Incredibly incompetent shipping department. After multiple phone calls, they said they fixed the error. Now 14 hours later they cancelled the order and kept the money. Now I have to call again. I've been shopping here for 25+ years, but this has become pathetic. SMH

Good for a walk around to walk through their entire catalog and also keep the kids distracted. Beware the overpriced Ben & Jerry's shop if you're on a budget on a hot, humid summer evening.

Unethical treatment of captive fish!!!!

Unethical treatment of captive fish!!!!

As an experienced atlantic salmon and trout fly fishermen I was excited to wonder through the ll bean Freeport store. Within this beautiful store and among the beautiful merchandise I was shocked to see the unethical treatment of captive fish during a fly fishing display. The fisherman stood atop a rock and continuously flicked his fly with no success. As we all have experienced many many times. Then he reached into his pocket, threw a handful of fish food into the water and flicked his fly in among the feeding frenzy. Within seconds he hooked a fish.
Its questionable that ll bean wants to create a merchandising opportunity by displaying wild species fish within their many aquariums and ponds. However, the inhumane treatment/torture of these fish by continuously hooking them through unethical fishing practices causes me to question ll bean s corporate ethics. Not to mention their promotion of unethical fishing practices to all the future fishers within the audience.
To all who witnessed ll beans unethical fishing practices I want you to know, you may not always hook a fish every trip to your river or lake. But when you do finally hook one through ethical practices it s well worth the hours you ve spent getting to that point.
Tight ETHICAL lines to all and shame on you ll bean!!!

I love this store so much! They sell high quality clothing, camping gear, hunting gear and home goods. Even if you don't intend to buy anything it is still such a fun trip and a learning experience for the whole family! They have large fish tank with huge fish with information about the different types of fish. They also have large taxidermy animals with information cards so you can learn about where they are from, what they eat etc. It's like a small natural history museum you can visit while you shop! If you're coming to Maine this store is a must see!

Always a great choice, whether you are driving by on ME US295 or if you are making L.L. Bean a destination. You can get lost in the campus dreaming of everything you want or purchasing items(like flies) you need. There is something for everyone.

Terrible service. Ever since the new return policy I want to return all of my LL Bean items. I tried to return a pair of guide wool pants that have never been worn with no luck. They did accept a pair of boots, so I took the money and went to Cabelas and spent $450 there. Tried a chat to find receipt information and the guy ended before I could finish what I was typing. Never going back.

Although I recommend shopping at a L.L Bean outlet, if you are looking for everything you ever need the one in Freeport is the place to go! There website lacks in allowing you to really see what there all about. I am in love with the hunting selection and there camouflage pattern. Probably the best camouflage on the market.

Had to visit the Mecca while in the Portland, ME area. This place has it's own campus that is pretty neat. The store is huge and has a ton of products.

One thing I found very odd is that they did not have shirts or any products to represent LL Bean's founding or flagship store. I wanted a shirt from this specific location and they did not have anything. Not even a sticker that I could find.

Lulu Lemon even has special shirts and products from each city's store. Found this very odd.

really sad to leave only one star at LL Bean. My customer experience was horrible. had a visit at their flagship store in Freeport Maine.
Met with Kory for a return of a pair of eight-month-old slippers and hadn't worn out prematurely with an eight months of use.
Sonia beginning that's too much information he tried to deny the one-year warranty and told me they look like they have been worn everyday. I explain to him I don't buy a pair of $85 slippers not to wear everyday. very rude I called customer service and ask for a manager to call me back and I'm still waiting. My visit was over the Christmas holiday so it's been well over a week now and still waiting for a manager of L.L.Bean to call back to discuss my store visit with them. their customer satisfaction has gone way downhill not sure what is going on at LL Bean but it's sad to see these big stores slowly going out of business through the internet and websites.

Good place friendly worker's and I am in a power wheelchair and everything is setup up fairly easy for me to get off the shelves and things I couldn't get to something the worker's would come over and ask if they could help in anyway

This is a company that truly cares about its customers. WIthout going into much detail, the staff and ethic of L.L. Bean really saved my (and my dog's) behind! I've always known and experienced how honest and straight-forward L.L. Bean is with its policies and guarantee, but the level of kindness and help - far beyond "service" - was incredible for someone who wasn't spending a dollar that day and was probably causing them to lose money (and certainly creating hassle). I also never imagined a store like L.L. Bean being open 24hrs would ever be necessary, but in this case it, oddly enough, really was. I drove 6 hours in the middle of the night because I needed to and they were there for me. And, I'd do it again for fun just because of the environment, people, products, and goodwill. Thank you L.L. Bean team, and in particular thank you to Liz and her colleagues from the Freeport store for doing everything possible to make this experience easy.

If you like L.L. Bean you're gonna love this place. It can't even be contained in one or two buildings. Anyways don't forget to see the two taxidermy moose which died with their horns locked.

This is there mecca. You would think the prices would be just a touch lower since this is their flagship store. We dont mind the prices, but we are already customers. If someone is new to the brand, they may steer away.

It s against the law to not love llbean if you are from Maine. Seriously, it s basically the only place in the entire state that is always open. Do your inlaws like to shop? Yes they do. They always want to meet you in Freeport and llbean is the crown jewel. Kids can watch the fish, see stuffed animals, tie knots, run around and often there are shows and demonstrations
